   כׇּל־הָעֲבָדִיםkol-ha/a/va/DIMall the slavesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתַּחַתTA/chatunderעֹלola yokeיַחְשְׁבוּyach/she/VUlet countאֶת־אֲדֹנֵיהֶםet-a/do/ne/HEMtheir mastersרְאוּיִיםre/u/YIMworthyלְכׇל־כָּבוֹדle/KHOL-ka/VODof all honorלְמַעַןle/MA/ansoלֹא־יְחֻלַּלlo-ye/chul/LALbe not profanedשֵׁםshemthe name ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוְלִקְחוֹ׃ve/lik/CHOand his teaching

   Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.

   וַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand those whoלָהֶםla/HEMhaveאֲדֹנִיםa/do/NIMmastersמַאֲמִינִיםma/a/mi/NIMare believersאַל־יָבוּזוּal-ya/VU/zulet them not despiseלָהֶםla/HEMthemכִּיkibecauseאַחִיםa/CHIMbrothersהֵםhemtheyכִּיkibutאִם־יַעַבְדוּםim-ya/av/DUMrather serve themיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreכִּיkibecauseנֶאֱמָנִיםne/e/ma/NIMfaithfulוִידִידִיםvi/di/DIMand belovedהֵםhemthey areחֲבֵרִיםcha/ve/RIMcompanionsבַּטּוֹבָהbat/to/VAin the benefitאֶת־אֵלֶּהet-EL/lethese thingsלַמֵּדlam/MEDto teachוְהַזְהֵר׃ve/haz/HERand urge

   And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

   If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

   עֻפְּלָהup/pe/LAis lifted upנַפְשׁוֹnaf/SHOhis soulוְלֹאve/LOand notיָדַעya/DAknowsמְאוּמָהme/U/maanythingכִּיkibutאִם־חֹלֶהim-cho/LErather sickהוּאhuhe isבְּחִידוֹתbe/chi/DOTin riddlesוּבִמְרִיבוֹתu/vim/ri/VOTand quarrels ofמִלִּיםmil/LIMwordsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whichמֵהֶןme/HENof themתֵּצֵאte/TSEcomesקִנְאָהkin/Aenvyמָדוֹןma/DONstrifeגִּדּוּפִיםgid/du/FIMblasphemiesוּמַחְשְׁבוֹתu/mach/she/VOTand thoughtsרָעוֹת׃ra/OTevil

   He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

   תּוֹכָחוֹתto/kha/CHOTdisputesעִקְּשׁוֹתik/ke/SHOTperverseמֵאֲנָשִׁיםme/a/na/SHIMfrom menנִשְׁחֲתֵיnish/cha/TEcorrupt ofמַחֲשָׁבוֹתma/cha/sha/VOTthoughtsוַחֲסֵרֵיva/cha/se/REand lackingאֱמֶתe/METtruthהַחֹשְׁבִיםha/chosh/VIMwho thinkכִּיkithatהַבֶּצַעhab/BE/tsagainהוּאhuisחֲסִידוּתcha/si/DUTgodlinessהִבָּדֵלhib/ba/DELseparate yourselfמֵאֵלֶּה׃me/EL/lefrom these

   Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

   אֲבָלa/VALbutהַחֲסִידוּתha/cha/si/DUTgodlinessעִם־לֵבim-levwith a heartשָׂמֵחַsa/ME/achgladבְּחֶלְקוֹbe/chel/KOin its portionבֶּצַעBE/tsagainגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatהִיא׃hiis

   But godliness with contentment is great gain.

7. 7

   כִּיkiforלֹאlonotהֵבֵאנוּhe/ve/NUwe broughtמְאוּמָהme/U/maanythingלָעוֹלָםla/o/LAMinto the worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְיָדוּעַve/ya/DU/aand it is knownכִּיkithatלֹאlonotנוּכַלnu/KHALwe canלָשֵׂאתla/SETcarryמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nufrom itמְאוּמָה׃me/U/maanything

   For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

8. 8

   וְאִםve/IMand ifיֵשׁ־לָנוּyesh-LA/nuwe haveלֶחֶםLE/chembreadוְשִׂמְלָהve/sim/LAand clothingנִהְיֶהnih/YElet us beשְׂמֵחִיםse/me/CHIMcontentבָּם׃bamwith them

   And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

9. 9

   אֲבָלa/VALbutהַחֲפֵצִיםha/cha/fe/TSIMthose who wantלְהַעֲשִׁירle/ha/a/SHIRto be richיִפְּלוּyip/pe/LUfallבְמַסָּהve/mas/SAinto trialוּבְמוֹקֵשׁu/ve/mo/KESHand the snare ofוּבְתַאֲוֹתu/ve/ta/a/VOTand in desiresרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyסְכָלוֹתse/kha/LOTfoolishוּמַשְׁחִיתוֹתu/mash/chi/TOTand destructiveהַמְטַבְּעוֹתham/tab/be/OTwhich drownאֶת־הָאָדָםet-ha/a/DAMmenבַּשֶּׁבֶרbash/SHE/verin ruinוּבָאֲבַדּוֹן׃u/va/a/vad/DONand into destruction

   But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

    כִּיkiforאַהֲבַתa/ha/VATis the love ofהַכֶּסֶףhak/KE/sefmoneyהִיאhiisשֹׁרֶשׁSHO/reshthe root ofכׇּל־הָרָעָהkol-ha/ra/Aall the evilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיֵשׁyeshthere areאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהִתְאַוּוּhit/av/VUcravedלָהּlaafter itוַיִּתְעוּvay/yit/Uand strayedמִן־הָאֱמוּנָהmin-ha/e/mu/NAfrom the faithוַיִּדְקְרוּvay/yid/ke/RUand piercedאֶת־נַפְשָׁםet-naf/SHAMthemselvesבְּמַכְאֹבִיםbe/makh/o/VIMwith painsרַבִּים׃rab/BIMmany

    For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

    וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youאִישׁishman ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodבְּרַח־לְךָbe/RACH-le/KHAfleeמֵאֵלֶּהme/EL/lefrom theseוּרְדֹףu/re/DOFand pursueצְדָקָהtse/da/KArighteousnessחֲסִידוּתcha/si/DUTgodlinessאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithאַהֲבָהa/ha/VAloveאֹרֶךְO/rekhthe patience ofרוּחַRU/achspiritוַעֲנָוָה׃va/a/na/VAand meekness

    But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

    הִלָּחֵםhil/la/CHEMfightאֶת־מִלְחֶמֶתet-mil/CHE/metthe battle ofהָאֱמוּנָהha/e/mu/NAfaithהַטּוֹבָהhat/to/VAthe goodהַחֲזֵקha/cha/ZEKhold fastבְּחַיֵּיbe/chay/YEin the life ofעוֹלָםo/LAMeternalאֲשֶׁרa/SHERto whichלָהֶםla/HEMto itגַּםgamalsoנִקְרֵאתָnik/re/TAyou were calledוְהוֹדֵיתָve/ho/de/TAand you confessedתּוֹדָהto/DAa confessionטוֹבָהto/VAgoodלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeעֵדִיםe/DIMwitnessesרַבִּים׃rab/BIMmany

    Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

    מְצַוְּךָme/tsav/ve/KHAcommand youאֲנִיa/NIIלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodהַמְחַיֶּהham/chay/YEwho gives life toאֶת־הַכֹּלet-hak/KOLall thingsוְלִפְנֵיve/lif/NEand beforeהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe MessiahיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeפָּנְטִיּוֹסPa/ne/tiy/YOSPontiusפִּילָטוֹסPi/la/TOSPilateהֵעִידhe/IDtestifiedתּוֹדָהto/DAa confessionטוֹבָה׃to/VAgood

    I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;

14. 14

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתִּשְׁמֹרtish/MORyou keepאֶת־הַמִּצְוָהet-ham/mits/VAthe commandmentהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisבְּלִיbe/LIwithoutמוּםmumblemishוּבְלִיu/ve/LIand withoutדֹפִיdo/FIblemishעַד־הֵרָאוֹתad-he/ra/OTuntil the appearing ofאֲדֹנֵינוּa/do/NE/nuour LordיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiah

    That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

15. 15

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיַרְאֶנָּהyar/en/NAwill showבְּעִתָּיוbe/it/TAYVin his timesהַמְבֹרָךְham/vo/RAKHthe blessedוְהַשַּׁלִּיטve/hash/Shal/LITand Rulerלְבַדּוֹle/vad/DOaloneמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe King ofהַמְּלָכִיםham/me/la/KHIMkingsוַאֲדֹנֵיva/a/do/NEand the Lord ofהָאֲדֹנִים׃ha/a/do/NIMlords

    Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

16. 16

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלוֹlohasלְבַדּוֹle/vad/DOaloneאַל־מָוֶתal-MA/vetimmortalityשֹׁכֵןsho/KHENdwellsבְּאוֹרbe/ORin the light ofאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאlonotיוּכַלyu/KHALcanאִישׁishmanלָגֶשֶׁתla/GE/shetcome nearאֵלָיוe/LAYVto itאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomלֹא־רָאָהוּlo-ra/A/huhas seen Himאִישׁisha manוְלֹאve/LOand notיוּכַלyu/KHALcanלִרְאוֹתוֹlir/o/TOsee Himאֲשֶׁרa/SHERto whomלוֹloto Himהָהָדָרha/ha/DARthe honorוְהָעֹזve/ha/OZand the strengthלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverאָמֵן׃a/MENamen

    Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

    אֶת־עֲשִׁירֵיet-a/SHI/rethe rich ofהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisצַוֵּהtsav/VEcommandכִּיkibutלֹאlonotיִגְבַּהּyig/BAbe haughtyלִבָּםlib/BAMtheir heartוְלֹאve/LOnorיִבְטְחוּyiv/te/CHUtrustבָּעֹשֶׁרba/O/sherin richesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nunotנָכוֹןna/KHONcertainכִּיkibutאִם־בֵּאלֹהִיםim-be/lo/HIMrather in Godחַיִּיםchay/YIMthe livingהַנֹּתֵןhan/no/TENwho givesלָנוּLA/nuusבְּשֶׁפַעbe/SHE/fain abundanceאֶת־הַכֹּלet-hak/KOLall thingsלְהִתְעַנֵּג׃le/hit/an/NEGto enjoy

    Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

18. 18

    לִגְמֹלlig/MOLto doטוֹבtovgoodוּלְהַעֲשִׁירu/le/ha/a/SHIRand to be richבְּמַעֲשִׂיםbe/ma/a/SIMin worksטוֹבִיםto/VIMgoodנְכוֹנִיםne/kho/NIMreadyלָתֵתla/TETto giveוּנְדִיבִיםu/ne/di/VIMand generousלְהִתְחַבֵּר׃le/hit/chab/BERto share

    That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

19. 19

    אֹצְרִיםots/RIMstoring upלָהֶםla/HEMfor themselvesיְסוֹדye/SODa foundationטוֹבtovgoodלְיוֹםle/YOMfor the day ofאַחֲרוֹןa/cha/RONto comeלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיַחֲזִיקוּya/cha/ZI/kuthey may lay hold onבְּחַיֵּיbe/chay/YEin the life ofעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeternal

    Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

20. 20

    טִימוֹתִיּוֹסTi/mo/tiy/YOSTimothyשְׁמֹרshe/MORkeepאֶת־הַפִּקָּדוֹןet-hap/pik/ka/DONthe depositוְסוּרve/SURand turning awayמִדִּבְרֵיmid/div/REfrom words ofחֹלcholprofaneוָהֶבֶלva/HE/veland emptyוּמִתְּשֻׁבוֹתu/mit/te/shu/VOTand oppositions ofהַמַּדָּעham/mad/DAknowledgeהַנִּקְרָאhan/nik/RAthat is calledכֵןkhensoלַשָּׁקֶר׃lash/SHA/kerfalsely

    O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

21. 21

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיֵשׁyeshthere areמוֹדִיםmo/DIMconfessingבּוֹboof itוַיִּתְעוּvay/yit/Uand went astrayמִן־הָאֱמוּנָהmin-ha/e/mu/NAfrom the faithהַחֶסֶדha/CHE/sedgraceעִמְּךָim/me/KHAwith youאָמֵן׃a/MENamen

    Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.
