1 John 1 יוֹחָנָן א פרק א׳

1. 1

   אֵת־אֲשֶׁרwhichהָיָהwasמֵרֹאשׁfrom-the-beginningאֲשֶׁרwhichשָׁמַעְנוּwe-have-heardוּבְעֵינֵינוּwith-our-eyesרָאִינוּwe-have-seenאֲשֶׁרwhichהִבַּטְנוּwe-have-looked-uponוַאֲשֶׁרand-whichמִשֲׁשׁוּhave-handledיָדֵינוּour-handsעַל־דְּבַרof-the-Word-ofהַחַיִּים׃life

   That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

   וְהַחַיִּיםfor-the-lifeנִגְלוּwas-manifestedוַנֵּרֶאand-we-have-seenוּמְעִידִיםand-bear-witnessאֲנַחְנוּweוּמוֹדִיעִיםand-shewלָכֶםunto-youאֶת־חַיֵּיthe-life-ofהָעוֹלָמִיםeternityאֲשֶׁרwhichהָיוּwasעִם־הָאָבwith-the-Fatherוְנִגְלוּand-was-manifestedלָנוּ׃unto-us

   (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

3. 3

   אֵת־אֲשֶׁרwhichרָאִינוּwe-have-seenוְשָׁמַעְנוּand-heardנוֹדִיעָהdeclare-weלָכֶםunto-youלְמַעַןthatתִּתְחַבְּרוּyou-may-have-fellowshipלָנוּwith-usגַּם־אַתֶּםalso-youוְנִתְחַבַּרְנוּand-our-fellowship-isעִם־הָאָבwith-the-Fatherוְעִם־בְּנוֹand-with-his-SonיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃the-Messiah

   That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

4. 4

   וְזֹאתand-these-thingsכֹּתְבִיםwriteאֲנַחְנוּweלָכֶםunto-youלְמַעַןthatתִּהְיֶהmay-beשִׂמְחַתְכֶםyour-joyשְׁלֵמָה׃full

   And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

   וְזֹאתand-thisהַשְּׁמוּעָהthe-messageאֲשֶׁרwhichשָׁמַעְנוּwe-have-heardמִמֶּנּוּof-himוַנַּגֵּדand-declareלָכֶםunto-youשֶׁהָאֱלֹהִיםthat-Godאוֹרlightהוּאisוְכׇל־חֹשֶׁךְand-all-darknessאֵיןthere-is-noneבּוֹ׃in-him

   This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

6. 6

   אִם־נֹאמַרif-we-sayכִּיthatיֶשׁ־לָנוּwe-haveהִתְחַבְּרוּתfellowshipעִמּוֹwith-himוְנִתְהַלֵּךְand-walkבַּחֹשֶׁךְin-darknessדֹּבְרֵיwe-speakשֶׁקֶרliesאֲנַחְנוּweוְלֹאand-notפֹּעֲלֵיdoהָאֱמֶת׃the-truth

   If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

   אֲבָלbutאִם־נִתְהַלֵּךְif-we-walkבָּאוֹרin-the-lightכַּאֲשֶׁרasהוּאhe-isבָאוֹרin-the-lightהִנֵּהbeholdנִתְחַבַּרְנוּwe-have-fellowshipיָחַדone-with-anotherוְדַם־יֵשׁוּעַand-the-blood-of-Jesusהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahבְּנוֹhis-Sonיְטַהֲרֵנוּcleanseth-usמִכׇּל־חֵטְא׃from-all-sin

   But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

8. 8

   אִם־נֹאמַרif-we-sayשֶׁאֵין־בָּנוּthat-we-have-noחֵטְאsinמַתְעִיםdeceiveאֲנַחְנוּweנַפְשֵׁנוּourselvesוְהָאֱמֶתand-the-truthאֵיןis-notבָּנוּ׃in-us

   If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9. 9

   וְאִם־נִתְוַדֶּהand-if-we-confessאֶת־חַטֹּאתֵינוּour-sinsנֶאֱמָןfaithfulהוּאhe-isוְצַדִּיקand-justלִסְלֹחַto-forgiveלְחַטֹּאתֵינוּour-sinsוּלְטַהֲרֵנוּand-to-cleanse-usמִכׇּל־עָוֹן׃from-all-unrighteousness

   If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10. 10

    וְאִם־נֹאמַרand-if-we-sayשֶׁלּאthat-notחָטָאנוּwe-have-sinnedלְכֹזֵבa-liarנְשִׂימֶנּוּwe-make-himוּדְבָרוֹand-his-wordאֵיןis-notבָּנוּ׃in-us

    If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
