1. 1

   וַאֲנִיand-Iלֹאnotיָכֹלְתִּיcouldלְדַבֵּרspeakעִמָּכֶםunto-youאַחַיbrethrenכְּדַבֵּרas-speakingעִםwithאַנְשֵׁיmen-ofרוּחַthe-spiritכִּיbutאִםratherכְּדַבֵּרas-speakingעִםwithאַנְשֵׁיmen-ofבָשָׂרfleshכְּדַבֵּרas-speakingעִםwithעוֹלֲלִיםbabesבַּמָּשִׁיחַ׃in-Christ

   And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

   חָלָבmilkהִשְׁקֵיתִיI-have-fedאֶתְכֶםyouוְלֹא־מַאֲכׇלand-not-with-meatכִּיforעֲדַיִןhithertoלֹאnotהֱיִיתֶםyou-wereיְכוֹלִיםableוְגַם־עַתָּהneither-yet-nowאֵינְכֶםare-you-notיְכוֹלִיםableכִּיforעוֹדְכֶםyou-are-yetשֶׁל־הַבָּשָׂר׃carnal

   I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

   כִּיforבַּאֲשֶׁרwhereasקִנְאָהthere-is-envyingבֵּינֵיכֶםamong-youוּמְרִיבָהand-strifeוּמַחֲלֹקוֹתand-divisionsהֲלֹאare-you-notשֶׁל־הַבָּשָׂרcarnalאַתֶּםyouוְנֹהֲגִיםand-walkמִנְהַגas-the-manner-ofבְּנֵיthe-sons-ofאָדָם׃men

   For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

   הֵןforבֶּאֱמֹרwhile-saithזֶהoneאֲנִיI-amלְפוֹלוֹסof-Paulוְזֶהand-anotherאֲנִיI-amלְאַפּוֹלוֹסof-Apollosהֲלֹאare-you-notשֶׁל־הַבָּשָׂרcarnalאַתֶּם׃you

   For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?

   מִיwhoאֵפוֹאthenפוֹלוֹסis-Paulוּמִי־הוּאand-who-isאַפּוֹלוֹסApollosאַךְ־מְשָׁרֲתִיםbut-ministersאֲשֶׁרby-whomעַל־יָדָםthrough-themבָּאתֶםyou-cameלְהַאֲמִיןto-believeאִישׁeveryאִישׁmanכְּמַתְּנַתas-the-gift-ofהָאָדוֹןthe-Lordאֲשֶׁרwhichנָתַןgaveלוֹ׃to-him

   Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?

   אֲנִיIנָטַעְתִּיhave-plantedוְאַפּוֹלוֹסApollosהִשְׁקָהwateredוְהָאֱלֹהִיםbut-Godהוּאheהִצְמִיחַ׃gave-the-increase

   I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

   עַל־כֵּןso-thenהַנֹּטֵעַhe-that-plantethכְּאַיִןis-nothingוְהַמַּשְׁקֶהneither-he-that-waterethכְּאָיִןis-nothingכִּיbutאִם־אֱלֹהִיםGodהַמַּצְמִיחַ׃that-giveth-the-increase

   So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

   וְהַנֹּטֵעַand-he-that-plantethוְהַמַּשְׁקֶהand-he-that-waterethכְּאֶחָדare-oneהֵמָּהtheyוְכׇל־אִישׁand-every-manיְקַבֵּלshall-receiveאֶת־שְׂכָרוֹhis-own-rewardכְּפִיaccording-toעֲמָלוֹ׃his-own-labor

   Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

9. 9

   כִּיforעֹזְרִיםlaborers-togetherלֵאלֹהִיםwith-Godבִּמְלַאכְתּוֹin-his-workאֲנָחְנוּwe-areשְׂדֵהthe-husbandry-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodאַתֶּםyou-areבִּנְיַןthe-building-ofאֶלֹהִיםGodאַתֶּם׃you-are

   For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

10. 10

    וַאֲנִיand-Iכְּפִיaccording-toחֶסֶדthe-grace-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodהַנִּתָּןwhich-is-givenלִיunto-meכְּאָמָּןas-a-masterbuilderחָכָםwiseשַׁתִּיI-have-laidיְסוֹדthe-foundationוְאַחֵרand-anotherבּוֹנֶהbuildethעָלָיוthereonאַךְ־יֵרֶאbut-let-take-heedכׇל־אִישׁevery-manאֵיךְhowהוּא־בֹנֶהhe-buildethעָלָיו׃thereupon

    According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

11. 11

    כִּיforלֹא־יוּכַלcan-noאִישׁmanלָשִׁיתlayיְסוֹדfoundationאַחֵרotherזוּלָתִיthanהַמּוּסָּדthat-is-laidשֶׁהוּאwhich-isיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃Christ

    For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

12. 12

    וְאִם־יִבְנֶהnow-if-buildהַבּוֹנֶהany-manעַל־הַיְסוֹדupon-the-foundationהַזֶּהthisזָהָבgoldאוֹorכֶסֶףsilverאוֹorאֲבָנִיםstonesיְקָרוֹתpreciousאוֹ־עֵץor-woodאוֹorחָצִירhayאוֹorקָשׁ׃stubble

    Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

13. 13

    יִגָּלֶהshall-be-made-manifestמַעֲשֵׂהthe-work-ofכׇל־אִישׁevery-manכִּי־הַיּוֹםfor-the-dayהוּאitselfיְבָרֲרֵהוּshall-declare-itכִּי־בָאֵשׁbecause-by-fireיֵרָאֶהit-shall-be-revealedוּמַה־מַּעֲשֵׂהand-of-what-sort-the-work-ofכׇּל־אִישׁeveryוָאִישׁmanהָאֵשׁthe-fireתִּבְחָנֶנּוּ׃shall-try-it

    Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

14. 14

    אִם־יַעֲמֹדif-abideמַעֲשֵׂהthe-work-ofאִישׁany-manאֲשֶׁרwhichבָּנָהhe-hath-builtעָלָיוthereuponיְקַבֵּלhe-shall-receiveשְׂכָרוֹ׃a-reward

    If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

15. 15

    וְאִם־יִשָׂרֵףand-if-shall-be-burnedמַעֲשֵׂהוּhis-workיַפְסִידֶנּוּhe-shall-suffer-lossוְהוּאbut-heיִוָּשֵׁעַshall-be-savedאַךְyetכְּאוּדso-as-a-brandמֻצָּלpluckedמֵאֵשׁ׃from-fire

    If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

16. 16

    הֲלֹאknow-youיְדַעְתֶּםnotכִּיthatהֵיכַלthe-temple-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodאַתֶּםyou-areוְרוּחַand-the-Spirit-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodשֹׁכֵןdwellethבְּקִרְבְּכֶם׃in-you

    Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

17. 17

    וְאִישׁand-if-any-manאֲשֶׁרwhoיַשְׁחִיתdefileאֶת־הֵיכַלthe-temple-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodהָאֱלֹהִיםGodיַשְׁחִיתshall-destroyאֹתוֹhimכִּיforהֵיכַלthe-temple-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodקָדוֹשׁis-holyוְאַתֶּםand-you-areהֵיכָלוֹ׃his-temple

    If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

18. 18

    אַל־יַשִּׂיאlet-no-deceiveאִישׁmanנַפְשׁוֹhimselfמִיif-anyאֲשֶׁרwhoחָכָםwiseיֵחָשֵׁבseemeth-to-beבָּעוֹלָםin-worldהַזֶּהthisיְהִיlet-him-becomeלְסָכׇלa-foolלְמַעַןthatיֶחְכָּם׃he-may-be-wise

    Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

19. 19

    כִּי־חׇכְמַתfor-the-wisdom-ofהָעוֹלָםworldהַזֶּהthisסִכְלוּתis-foolishnessלִפְנֵיwithהָאֱלֹהִיםGodכַּכָּתוּבfor-it-is-writtenלֹכֵדhe-takethחֲכָמִיםthe-wiseבְּעׇרְמָם׃in-their-own-craftiness

    For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

20. 20

    וְעוֹדand-againכָּתוּבit-is-writtenהָאָדוֹןthe-Lordיֹדֵעַknowethמַחְשְׁבוֹתthe-thoughts-ofחֲכָמִיםthe-wiseכִּיthatהֵמָּהthey-areהָבֶל׃vain

    And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

21. 21

    עַל־כֵּןthereforeאַל־יִתְהַלֵּלlet-no-gloryאִישׁmanבְּאָדָםin-menכִּיforהַכֹּלall-thingsהוּאareשֶׁלָּכֶם׃yours

    Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;

22. 22

    אִם־פּוֹלוֹסwhether-Paulאִם־אַפּוֹלוֹסor-Apollosוְאִם־כֵּיפָאor-Cephasאִם־הָעוֹלָםor-the-worldאִם־הַחַיִּיםor-lifeוְאִם־הַמָּוֶתor-deathאִם־הַהוֶֹהor-things-presentוְאִם־הֶעָתִידor-things-to-comeהַכֹּלallהוּאareשֶׁלָּכֶם׃yours

    Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;

23. 23

    וְאַתֶּםand-you-areשֶׁל־הַמָּשִׁיחַChrist'sוְהַמָּשִׁיחַand-Christשֶׁל־אֱלֹהִים׃is-God's

    And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
