1. 1

   וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iבְּבֹאִיbe/vo/Iwhen I cameאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youאַחַיa/CHAYmy brothersלֹאlonotבָאתִיVA/tiI cameבְּיֶתֶרbe/YE/terwith excellence ofאֹמֶרO/merspeechאוֹ־חׇכְמָהo-chokh/MAor of wisdomלְהַגִּידle/hag/GIDto tellלָכֶםla/KHEMto youאֶת־עֵדוּתet-e/DUTthe testimony ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

   And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

   כִּיkiforלֹא־אָמַרְתִּיlo-a/MAR/tiI did not decideלָדַעַתla/DA/atto knowבְּתוֹכְכֶםbe/tokh/KHEMamong youדָּבָרda/VARa thingבִּלְתִּיbil/TIexceptאִם־יֵשׁוּעַim-Ye/SHU/abut Jesusהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahוְהוּאve/HUand heהַנִּצְלָב׃han/nits/LAVcrucified

   For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

   וָאֱהִיva/e/HIand I wasעִמָּכֶםim/ma/KHEMwith youבְּרִפְיוֹןbe/rif/YONin weaknessוּבְיִרְאָהu/ve/yir/Aand in fearוּבְחַלְחָלָהu/ve/chal/cha/LAand in tremblingרַבָּה׃rab/BAmuch

   And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

   וּדְבָרִיu/de/va/RIand my wordוּקְרִיאָתִיu/ke/ri/a/TIand my proclamationלֹאlonotלְפַתּוֹתle/fat/TOTto enticeבְּאִמְרֵיbe/im/REwith the sayings ofחׇכְמַתchokh/MATthe wisdom ofבְּנֵי־אָדָםbe/NE-a/DAMthe sons of menכִּיkibutאִםimratherבְּהַרְאוֹתbe/har/OTby showingהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritוְהַגְּבוּרָה׃ve/hag/ge/vu/RAand the power

   And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

   לְמַעַןle/MA/ansoלֹא־תִהְיֶהlo-tih/YEwould not beאֱמוּנַתְכֶםe/mu/nat/KHEMyour faithבְּחׇכְמַתbe/chokh/MATin the wisdom ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאָדָםa/DAMmanכִּיkibutאִם־בִּגְבוּרַתim-big/vu/RATrather in the power ofאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMGod

   That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

   אֲבָלa/VALbutחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweמְדַבְּרִיםme/dab/be/RIMspeakבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revamongהַשְּׁלֵמִיםhash/she/le/MIMthe perfectלֹאlonotחׇכְמַתchokh/MATthe wisdom ofהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְלֹאve/LOnorשָׂרֵיsa/REthe rulers ofהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיֹאבֵדוּ׃yo/VE/duperish

   Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

   כִּיkibutאִם־נְדַבֵּרim-ne/dab/BERrather we speakבַּסּוֹדbas/SODin a secretחׇכְמַתchokh/MATthe wisdom ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodהַנִּסְתָּרָהhan/nis/TA/rathat is hiddenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodיְעָדָהּye/a/DAappointed itלִכְבוֹדֵנוּlikh/vo/de/NUfor our gloryלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְמוֹתye/MOTthe days ofעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeternity

   But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

8. 8

   אֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹאlononeיְדָעָהּye/da/Aknew itאִישׁisha manמִשָּׂרֵיmis/sa/REof the rulers ofהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisכִּיkiforאִלּוּil/LUifיְדָעוּהָye/da/u/HAthey had known itלֹאlonotצָלְבוּtsa/le/VUwould they have crucifiedאֶת־אֲדוֹןet-a/DONthe Lord ofהַכָּבוֹד׃hak/ka/VODglory

   Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

   כִּיkibutאִם־כַּכָּתוּבim-kak/ka/TUVrather as it is writtenאֲשֶׁר־עַיִןa/SHER-A/yinwhat an eyeלֹאlonotרָאֲתָהra/a/TAsawוְאֹזֶןve/O/zenand an earלֹאlonotשָׁמְעָהsha/me/Aheardוְלֹאve/LOand notעָלָהa/LAcame upעַל־לֵבal-levon the heart ofאָדָםa/DAMmanאֶת־אֲשֶׁר־הֵכִיןet-a/SHER-he/KHINwhat has preparedהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodלְאֹהֲבָיו׃le/o/ha/VAYVfor those who love Him

   But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

    וְלָנוּve/LA/nuand to usגִּלָּהgil/LAhas revealedהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodבְּרוּחוֹbe/Ru/CHOby His Spiritכִּיkiforהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritחוֹקֵרcho/KERsearchesאֶת־הַכֹּלet-hak/KOLall thingsגַּםgamevenאֶת־מַעֲמַקֵּיet-ma/a/mak/KEthe deep things ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

    כִּיkiforמִיmiwhoהוּאhuis heמִבְּנֵיmib/be/NEamong the sons ofאָדָםa/DAMmenיֹדֵעַyo/DE/aknowsאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatבָּאָדָםba/a/DAMin the manכִּיkibutאִם־רוּחַim-RU/achrather the spirit ofהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmanאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isבְּקִרְבּוֹbe/kir/BOwithin himוְכֵןve/KHENand soאֵיןennoאִישׁishmanיֹדֵעַyo/DE/aknowsאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatבֵּאלֹהִיםbe/lo/HIMin Godכִּיkibutאִם־רוּחַim-RU/achrather the Spirit ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

    וַאֲנַחְנוּva/a/NACH/nuand weלֹאlonotקִבַּלְנוּkib/bal/NUwe receivedאֶת־רוּחַet-RU/achthe spirit ofהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldכִּיkibutאִםimratherהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritמֵאֵתme/ETfromהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatנֵדַעne/DAwe might knowאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatנִתַּןnit/TANwas givenלָנוּLA/nuto usמֵאֵתme/ETfromהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodחִנָּם׃chin/NAMfreely

    Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

    וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseגַּם־נְדַבֵּרgam-ne/dab/BERalso we speakלֹאlonotבִּדְבָרִיםbid/va/RIMwith wordsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתְּלַמֵּדte/lam/MEDteachesחׇכְמַתchokh/MATthe wisdom ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאָדָםa/DAMmanכִּיkibutאִם־בַּאֲשֶׁרim-ba/a/SHERrather in whatרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁRU/ach-Hak/KO/deshthe Holy Spiritתְּלַמֵּדte/lam/MEDteachesוּמַשְׁוִיםu/mash/VIMcomparingדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe things ofרוּחַRU/achspiritלְדִבְרֵיle/div/REto the things ofרוּחַ׃RU/achspirit

    Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

    הֵןhenbeholdהָאָדָםha/a/DAMthe manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho isבַּבָּשָׂרbab/ba/SARin the fleshאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nudoes notמְקַבֵּלme/kab/BELreceiveאֶת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe things ofרוּחַRU/achthe Spirit ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodכִּי־הֵמָּהki-HEM/mafor they areסִכְלוּתsikh/LUTfoolishnessלוֹloto himוְלֹאve/LOand notיוּכַלyu/KHALcan heלְדַעְתָּםle/da/TAMto know themבַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERsinceהֵמָּהHEM/matheyנִבְחָנִיםniv/cha/NIMare discernedבָּרוּחַ׃ba/RU/achby the Spirit

    But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

15. 15

    אֲבָלa/VALbutאִישׁisha manהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritיָדִיןya/DINjudgesהַכֹּלhak/KOLall thingsוְאוֹתוֹve/o/TOand himלֹא־יָדִיןlo-ya/DINdoes not judgeאִישׁ׃isha man

    But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

16. 16

    כִּיkiforמִי־יָדַעmi-ya/DAwho has knownאֶת־רוּחַet-RU/achthe Spirit ofיְהוָֹהAdonaithe LORDאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיוֹדִיעֶנּוּyo/di/EN/nuwill instruct Himוַאֲנַחְנוּva/a/NACH/nuand weיֶשׁ־לָנוּyesh-LA/nuhaveרוּחַRU/achthe Spirit ofהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiah

    For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
