1. 1

   וַאֲנִיmoreover-Iמַזְכִּירְכֶםdeclare-unto-youאַחַיbrethrenאֶת־הַבְּשֹׁוֹרָהthe-gospelאֲשֶׁרwhichבִּשַּׂרְתִּיI-preachedאֶתְכֶםunto-youוְאַתֶּםwhich-you-alsoקִבַּלְתֶּםreceivedוַעֲמַדְתֶּםand-you-standבָּהּ׃therein

   Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

   וְגַםand-alsoתִּוָּשְׁעוּyou-are-savedבָהּtherebyאִם־תַּחֲזִיקוּif-you-keepבַדָּבָרthe-wordאֲשֶׁרwhichבִּשַּׂרְתִּיI-preachedאֶתְכֶםunto-youרַקonlyאִםifלֹא־הֶאֱמַנְתֶּםyou-have-not-believedלַשָּׁוְא׃in-vain

   By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

   כִּיforרֵאשִׁיתfirst-ofכׇּל־דָּבָרallמָסַרְתִּיI-deliveredלָכֶםunto-youמַה־שֶּׁקִּבַּלְתִּיthat-which-I-receivedכִּי־הַמָּשִׁיחַhow-that-Christמֵתdiedלְכַפֵּרto-atoneעַל־חַטֹּאתֵינוּfor-our-sinsכַּכָּתוּב׃according-to-the-scriptures

   For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

   וְנִקְבַּרand-he-was-buriedוְהוּקַםand-he-rose-againבַּיּוֹםon-the-dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיthirdכַּכָּתוּב׃according-to-the-scriptures

   And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

   וְנִרְאָהand-he-was-seenאֶל־כֵּיפָאof-Cephasוְאַחֲרָיוthenאֶל־שְׁנֵים־הֶעָשָׂר׃of-the-twelve

   And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

6. 6

   וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵןafter-thatנִרְאָהhe-was-seenלְיוֹתֵרof-aboveמֵחֲמֵשׁfiveמֵאוֹתhundredאַחִיםbrethrenכְּאֶחָדat-onceאֲשֶׁרof-whomרֻבָּםthe-greater-partעוֹדָםremainבַּחַיִּיםaliveוּמִקְצָתָםbut-someיָשֵׁנוּ׃are-fallen-asleep

   After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

   וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵןafter-thatנִרְאָהhe-was-seenאֶל־יַעֲקֹבof-Jamesוְאַחֲרָיוthenאֶל־כׇּל־הַשְּׁלִיחִים׃of-all-the-apostles

   After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.

8. 8

   וְאַחֲרֵיand-last-ofכֻלָּםallנִרְאָהhe-was-seenגַם־אֵלַיof-me-alsoהַדֹּמֶהlikeלְנָפֶל׃one-untimely-born

   And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

9. 9

   כִּיforאֲנִיIהַצָּעִירthe-leastבַּשְּׁלִיחִיםof-the-apostlesוְקָטֹנְתִּיthat-am-not-meetמֵהִקָּרֵאto-be-calledשָׁלִיחַan-apostleכִּי־רָדַפְתִּיbecause-I-persecutedאֶת־קְהַלthe-church-ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃God

   For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

10. 10

    אֲבָלbutבְּחֶסֶדby-the-grace-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodהָיִיתִיI-amמַה־שֶּׁהָיִיתִיwhat-I-amוְחַסְדּוֹand-his-graceעָלַיupon-meלֹא־הָיָהwas-notלָרִיקin-vainכִּי־יוֹתֵרbut-moreמִכֻּלָּםthan-they-allעָמַלְתִּיI-laboredוְלֹאyet-notאֲנִיIכִּי־אִם־חֶסֶדbut-the-grace-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodאֲשֶׁרwhichעִמָּדִי׃was-with-me

    But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

11. 11

    וְהִנֵּהthereforeגַּם־אֲנִיwhether-Iגַּם־הֵמָּהor-theyכָּכָהsoמַשְׁמִיעִיםwe-preachוְכָכָהand-soהֶאֱמַנְתֶּם׃you-believed

    Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

12. 12

    וְאִם־הֻגַּדnow-if-it-be-preachedכִּי־הוּקַםthat-he-roseהַמָּשִׁיחַChristמִן־הַמֵּתִיםfrom-the-deadאֵיךְhowיֹאמְרוּsayאֲנָשִׁיםsomeמִכֶּםamong-youאֵיןthere-is-noתְּחִיָּהresurrectionלַמֵּתִים׃of-the-dead

    Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

13. 13

    אִם־אֵיןif-there-be-noתְּחִיָּהresurrectionלַמֵּתִיםof-the-deadגַּם־הַמָּשִׁיחַthen-Christ-alsoלֹאnotהוּקָם׃is-risen

    But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

14. 14

    וְאִם־הַמָּשִׁיחַand-if-Christלֹאnotהוּקָםbe-risenרִיקvain-isשְׁמוּעָתֵנוּour-preachingוְרִיקand-vain-isאֱמוּנַתְכֶם׃your-faith

    And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

15. 15

    וְגַם־נִמְצָאyea-and-we-are-foundשֶׁעֵדֵיthat-witnessesשֶׁקֶרfalseאֲנַחְנוּwe-areלֵאלֹהִיםof-Godיַעַןbecauseאֲשֶׁר־הֲעִידֹנוּwe-have-testifiedאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםof-Godכִּיthatהֵקִיםhe-raised-upאֶת־הַמָּשִׁיחַChristוְהוּאwhomלֹאnotהֱקִימוֹhe-raised-upאִםifכֵּןsoהַדָּבָרbe-itשֶׁהַמֵּתִיםthat-the-deadלֹאnotיָקוּמוּ׃rise

    Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

16. 16

    כִּיforאִם־הַמֵּתִיםif-the-deadלֹאnotיָקוּמוּriseגַּם־הַמָּשִׁיחַthen-Christ-alsoלֹאnotקָם׃is-raised

    For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

17. 17

    וְאִם־הַמָּשִׁיחַand-if-Christלֹאnotקָםbe-raisedהֶבֶלvain-isאֱמוּנַתְכֶםyour-faithוְעוֹדְכֶםyou-are-yetבְּחַטֹּאתֵיכֶם׃in-your-sins

    And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

18. 18

    אִם־כֵּןthenגַּם־הַיְשֵׁנִיםthey-also-which-are-fallen-asleepבַּמָּשִׁיחַin-Christאָבָדוּ׃are-perished

    Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

19. 19

    וְאִם־בַּחַיִּיםif-in-lifeהָאֵלֶּהthisבִּלְבַדonlyבֹּטְחִיםhave-hopeאֲנַחְנוּweבַּמָּשִׁיחַin-Christאֲמֵלָלִיםmost-miserableמִכׇּל־אָדָםof-all-menאֲנָחְנוּ׃we-are

    If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

20. 20

    אֲבָלbutעַתָּהnowהַמָּשִׁיחַChristהוּקַםis-risenמִן־הַמֵּתִיםfrom-the-deadרֵאשִׁיתthe-firstfruits-ofהַיְשֵׁנִים׃them-that-slept

    But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

21. 21

    כִּיforאַחֲרֵיsinceאֲשֶׁר־בָּאcameהַמָּוֶתdeathעַל־יְדֵיbyאָדָםmanגַּם־תְּחִיַּתalso-the-resurrection-ofהַמֵּתִיםthe-deadבָּאָהcameעַל־יְדֵיbyאָדָם׃man

    For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22. 22

    כִּיforכַּאֲשֶׁרasבָּאָדָםin-the-manהָרִאשׁוֹןfirstמֵתִיםdieכֻּלָּםallכֵּןeven-soיִחְיוּshall-be-made-aliveכֻלָּםallבַּמָּשִׁיחַ׃in-Christ

    For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

23. 23

    וְכׇל־אֶחָדbut-every-oneוְאֶחָדand-oneבְּסִדְרוֹin-his-own-orderרֵאשִׁיתthe-firstfruits-ofכֻּלָּםallהַמָּשִׁיחַChristוְאַחֲרֵי־כֵןafterwardאֹתָםtheyשֶׁהֵםthat-areלַמָּשִׁיחַChrist'sבְּבוֹאוֹ׃at-his-coming

    But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

24. 24

    וְאַחֲרֵיand-afterכֵןthatהַקֵּץthe-endכְּשֶׁיִּמְסֹרwhen-he-shall-have-delivered-upאֶת־הַמַּלְכוּתthe-kingdomלֵאלֹהִיםto-Godהָאָבthe-Fatherאַחֲרֵיwhenהַשְׁבִּיתוֹhe-shall-have-put-downכׇּל־מִשְׂרָהall-ruleוְכׇל־שָׁלְטָןand-all-authorityוּגְבוּרָה׃and-power

    Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

25. 25

    כִּי־הוּאfor-heמָלֹךְmustיִמְלֹךְreignעַדtillכִּי־יָשִׁיתhe-hath-putאֶת־כׇּל־אֹיְבָיוall-his-enemiesתַּחַתunderרַגְלָיו׃his-feet

    For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

26. 26

    וְאַחֲרוֹןthe-last-ofהָאֹיְבִיםthe-enemiesאֲשֶׁרthatיִכָּחֵדshall-be-destroyedהוּאisהַמָּוֶת׃death

    The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

27. 27

    כִּי־כֹלfor-all-thingsשָׁתhe-hath-putתַּחַתunderרַגְלָיוhis-feetוּבְאָמְרוֹbut-when-he-saithכֹּלall-thingsהוּשַׁתare-putתַּחְתָּיוunder-himבָּרוּרmanifestהוּאit-isשֶׁהַשָּׁתthat-he-that-did-putכֹּלallתַּחְתָּיוunder-himאֵינֶנּוּis-himself-notבַכְּלָל׃in-the-number

    For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

28. 28

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרand-whenיוּשַׁתshall-be-subduedהַכֹּלall-thingsתַּחְתָּיוunto-himאָזthenיוּשַׁתshall-be-subjectהַבֵּןthe-Sonגַּם־הוּאalso-himselfתַּחַתuntoהַשָּׁת־כֹּלhim-that-put-allתַּחְתָּיוunder-himלְמַעַןthatיִהְיֶהmay-beהָאֱלֹהִיםGodהַכֹּלallבַּכֹּל׃in-all

    And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

29. 29

    כִּיelseמַה־יַּעֲשׂוּwhat-shall-they-doהַנִּטְבָּלִיםthey-which-are-baptizedבְּעַדforהַמֵּתִיםthe-deadאִם־אֱמֶתif-trueהוּאit-beשֶׁהַמֵּתִיםthat-the-deadלֹא־יָקוּמוּrise-notלָמָּה־זֶּהwhy-thenיִטָּבְלוּare-they-baptizedבְּעַדforהַמֵּתִים׃the-dead

    Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

30. 30

    וְלָמָּהand-whyזֶּהthenמִסְתַּכְּנִיםstand-we-in-jeopardyאֲנַחְנוּweבְּכׇל־שָׁעָה׃every-hour

    And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?

31. 31

    בִּתְהִלַּתְכֶםby-your-rejoicingאֲשֶׁרwhichיֶשׁ־לִיI-haveבַּמָּשִׁיחַin-ChristיֵשׁוּעַJesusאֲדֹנֵינוּour-LordמֵעִידI-testifyאֲנִיIעָלַיof-myselfאִם־לֹאassuredlyמֵתdieאֲנִיIבְּכׇל־יוֹםevery-dayוָיוֹם׃and-day

    I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

32. 32

    אִם־כְּדֶרֶךְif-after-the-manner-ofכׇּל־אָדָםmenנִלְחַמְתִּיI-have-foughtעִם־הַחַיּוֹתwith-the-beastsהָרָעוֹתwildבְּאֶפְסוֹסat-Ephesusמַה־הִיאwhat-isתוֹעַלְתִּיmy-advantageאִם־הַמֵּתִיםif-the-deadלֹאnotיָקוּמוּriseנֹאכְלָהlet-us-eatוְנִשְׁתֶּהand-drinkכִּי־מָחָרfor-to-morrowנָמוּת׃we-die

    If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.

33. 33

    אַל־נָאdo-notתַּתְעוּdeceiveנַפְשׁוֹתֵיכֶםyourselvesחֶבְרַתthe-company-ofאֲנָשִׁיםmenרָעִיםevilתַּשְׁחִיתcorruptethמִדּוֹתmannersטֹבוֹת׃good

    Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

34. 34

    הָקִיצוּawakeבְּמֵישָׁרִיםto-righteousnessוְאַל־תֶּחֱטָאוּand-sin-notכִּי־יֵשׁfor-there-areאֲנָשִׁיםsomeאֲשֶׁרwhichאֵין־בָּהֶםhave-notדַּעַתthe-knowledge-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodאֲנִיIאֹמֵרspeakזֹאתthisלְבָשְׁתְּכֶם׃to-your-shame

    Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

35. 35

    וְכִי־יֹאמַרbut-will-sayאִישׁsome-manאֵיךְhowיָקוּמוּare-raised-upהַמֵּתִיםthe-deadוּכְשֶׁיָּשׁוּבוּand-when-they-comeמַה־גּוּפָם׃with-what-body

    But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

36. 36

    אַתָּהyouהַסָּכׇלfoolהֵןthatמַה־שֶּׁתִּזְרַעwhich-you-sowלֹאnotיִחְיֶהis-quickenedבִּלְתִּיexceptאִם־יָמוּת׃it-die

    Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

37. 37

    וּכְשֶׁתִּזְרַעand-that-which-you-sowאֵינְךָyou-sow-notזֹרֵעַsowestאֶת־הַגּוּףthe-bodyאֲשֶׁרthatיִהְיֶהshall-beכִּיbutאִם־גַּרְגַּרgrainעָרֹםbareשֶׁל־חִטָּהof-wheatאוֹorשֶׁל־אַחַדof-one-ofהַזְּרָעִים׃the-grains

    And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:

38. 38

    וְהָאֱלֹהִיםbut-Godיִתֶּן־לוֹgiveth-itגוּףa-bodyכִּרְצוֹנוֹas-it-hath-pleased-himוּלְכׇל־זֶרַעand-to-everyוְזֶרַעseedאֶת־גּוּפוֹits-own-bodyלְמִינֵהוּ׃after-its-kind

    But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

39. 39

    לֹאnotכׇל־הַבָּשָׂרall-fleshבָּשָׂרfleshאֶחָדthe-sameכִּיforמִיןkindאַחֵרoneהוּאisבְּשַׂרthe-flesh-ofהָאָדָםmenוּמִיןand-kindאַחֵרanotherבְּשַׂרthe-flesh-ofהַבְּהֵמָהbeastsוּמִיןand-kindאַחֵרanotherבְּשַׂרthe-flesh-ofהַדָּגָהfishesוּמִיןand-kindאַחֵרanotherבְּשַׂרthe-flesh-ofהָעוֹף׃birds

    All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

40. 40

    וְיֵשׁthere-are-alsoגּוּפוֹתbodiesשֶׁבַּשָּׁמַיִםcelestialוְגוּפוֹתand-bodiesשֶׁבָּאָרֶץterrestrialאֲבָלbutאַחֵרoneהוּאisכְּבוֹדthe-glory-ofהַגּוּפוֹתthe-bodiesשֶׁבַּשָּׁמַיִםcelestialוְאַחֵרand-anotherהוּאisכְּבוֹדthe-glory-ofהַגּוּפוֹתthe-bodiesשֶׁבָּאָרֶץ׃terrestrial

    There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

41. 41

    אַחֵרoneהוּאisכְּבוֹדthe-glory-ofהַשֶּׁמֶשׁthe-sunוְאַחֵרand-anotherהוּאisכְּבוֹדthe-glory-ofהַיָּרֵחַthe-moonוְאַחֵרand-anotherהוּאisכְּבוֹדthe-glory-ofהַכּוֹכָבִיםthe-starsכִּי־כוֹכָבfor-one-starמִכּוֹכָבfrom-starשֹׁנֶהdifferethלְכָבוֹד׃in-glory

    There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

42. 42

    וְכֵןso-also-isתְּחִיַּתthe-resurrection-ofהַמֵּתִיםthe-deadהַזְּרִיעָהthe-sowing-isלְכִלָּיוֹןunto-corruptionוְהַתְּקוּמָהand-the-risingלְחַיֵּיunto-lifeעַד׃everlasting

    So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

43. 43

    יִזָּרַעit-is-sownבְּבִזָּיוֹןin-dishonorוְיָקוּםit-is-raisedבְּכָבוֹדin-gloryיִזָּרַעit-is-sownבְּחֻלְשָׁהin-weaknessוְיָקוּםit-is-raisedבִּגְבוּרָה׃in-power

    It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

44. 44

    יִזָּרַעit-is-sownגּוּףa-bodyנַפְשִׁיnaturalוְיָקוּםit-is-raisedגּוּףa-bodyרוּחָנִיspiritualאִם־יֵשׁthere-isגּוּףa-bodyנַפְשִׁיnaturalגַּםalsoיֵשׁthere-isגּוּףa-bodyרוּחָנִי׃spiritual

    It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

45. 45

    וְכֵןand-soכָּתוּבit-is-writtenוַיְהִיwas-madeהָאָדָםthe-manאָדָםAdamהָרִאשׁוֹןthe-firstלְנֶפֶשׁa-soulחַיָּהlivingאָדָםAdamהָאַחֲרוֹןthe-lastלְרוּחַa-spiritמְחַיָּה׃quickening

    And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

46. 46

    אֲבָלhowbeitלֹאnotשֶׁל־הָרוּחַthat-which-is-spiritualהִיאwasהָרִאשׁוֹנָהfirstאֶלָּאbutשֶׁל־הַנָּפֶשׁthat-which-is-naturalוְאַחֲרֵי־כֵןand-afterwardשֶׁל־הָרוּחַ׃that-which-is-spiritual

    Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

47. 47

    הָאָדָםthe-manהָרִאשׁוֹןfirstמִן־הָאֲדָמָהof-the-groundהוּאisשֶׁל־עָפָרearthyוְהָאָדָםand-the-manהַשֵּׁנִיsecondהוּאisהָאָדוֹןthe-Lordמִן־הַשָּׁמָיִם׃from-heaven

    The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

48. 48

    וּכְמִדַּתand-asהָאֶחָדthe-oneשֶׁהוּאwho-isשֶׁל־עָפָרearthyכֵּןsoמִדַּתalso-areכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרall-they-who-areשֶׁל־עָפָרearthyהֵםtheyוּכְמִדַּתand-asהָאֶחָדthe-oneשֶׁהוּאwho-isשֶׁל־הַשָּׁמַיִםheavenlyכֵּןsoמִדַּתalso-areכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרall-they-who-areשֶׁל־הַשָּׁמָיִםheavenlyהֵם׃they

    As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

49. 49

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרand-asלָבַשְׁנוּwe-have-borneצֶלֶםthe-image-ofהָאָדָםthe-manשֶׁהוּאwho-isשֶׁל־עָפָרearthyכֵּןsoנִלְבַּשׁwe-shall-bearגַּם־צֶלֶםalso-the-image-ofהָאָדָםthe-manשֶׁהוּאwho-isשֶׁל־הַשָּׁמָיִם׃heavenly

    And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

50. 50

    וְזֹאתnow-thisאֲנִיIאֹמֵרsayאַחַיbrethrenכִּי־בָשָׂרthat-fleshוָדָםand-bloodלֹא־יוּכַלcannotלָרֶשֶׁתinheritאֶת־מַלְכוּתthe-kingdom-ofהָאֱלֹהִיםGodוַאֲשֶׁרand-that-whichיִכְלֶהcorruptethלֹאnotיִירַשׁinheritאֵת־אֲשֶׁרthat-whichלֹא־יִכְלֶה׃corrupteth-not

    Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51. 51

    הִנֵּהbeholdסוֹדa-mysteryאֲגַלֶּהI-shewלָכֶםyouאֲנַחְנוּweלֹאnotכֻלָּנוּallנִישַׁןshall-sleep-inהַמָּוֶתdeathאֲבָלbutכֻּלָּנוּwe-allנִתְחַלָּף׃shall-be-changed

    Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52. 52

    בְּרֶגַעin-a-momentאֶחָדoneכְּהֶרֶףin-the-twinkling-ofעַיִןan-eyeכִּתְקֹעַat-the-sounding-ofהַשּׁוֹפָרthe-trumpהָאַחֲרוֹןlastכִּיforיִתָּקַעshall-soundבַּשּׁוֹפָרthe-trumpetוְהַמֵּתִיםand-the-deadיִחְיוּshall-be-raisedבְּלִיwithoutכִלָּיוֹןcorruptionוַאֲנַחְנוּand-weנִתְחַלָּף׃shall-be-changed

    In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53. 53

    כִּיforמַה־שֶּׁעַתָּהthat-which-nowסוֹפוֹtendsלְכִלָּיוֹןto-corruptionיִלְבַּשׁmust-put-onאַל־כִּלָּיוֹןincorruptionוּמַה־שֶּׁעַתָּהand-that-which-nowסוֹפוֹtendsלָמוּתto-dieיִלְבַּשׁmust-put-onאַל־מָוֶת׃immortality

    For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54. 54

    וּמַה־שֶּׁעַתָּהso-when-that-which-nowסוֹפוֹtendsלְכִלָּיוֹןto-corruptionכְּשֶׁיִּלְבַּשׁshall-have-put-onאַל־כִּלָּיוֹןincorruptionוּמַה־שֶּׁעַתָּהand-when-that-which-nowסוֹפוֹtendsלַמָּוֶתto-deathכְּשֶׁיִּלְבַּשׁshall-have-put-onאַל־מָוֶתimmortalityאָזthenיָבֹאshall-be-brought-to-passדְּבַר־הַכָּתוּבthe-saying-that-is-writtenבֻּלַּעis-swallowed-upהַמָּוֶתdeathלָנֶצַח׃in-victory

    So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

55. 55

    אַיֵּהwhere-isעָקְצְךָyour-stingהַמָּוֶתO-deathאַיֵּהwhere-isנִצְחוֹנֵךְyour-victoryשְׁאוֹל׃O-grave

    O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

56. 56

    עֹקֶץthe-sting-ofהַמָּוֶתdeathהוּאisהַחֵטְאsinוְכֹחַand-the-strength-ofהַחֵטְאsinהִיאisהַתּוֹרָה׃the-law

    The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

57. 57

    אֲבָלbutתּוֹדוֹתthanks-beלֵאלֹהִיםto-Godאֲשֶׁרwhichנָתַן־לָנוּgiveth-usהַנִּצָּחוֹןthe-victoryעַל־יְדֵיthroughאֲדֹנֵינוּour-LordיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃Christ

    But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58. 58

    עַל־כֵּןthereforeאַחַיbrethrenחֲבִיבַיmy-belovedהִתְכּוֹנֲנוּbe-you-stedfastבַּל־תִּמּוֹטוּunmoveableוְהַעְדִּיפוּaboundingבְכׇל־עֵתalwaysבְּמַעֲשֵׂהin-the-work-ofאֲדֹנֵינוּour-Lordמִפְּנֵיforasmuch-asשֶׁיֹּדְעִיםthat-knowאַתֶּםyouכִּי־לֹאthat-notלָרִיקin-vainעֲמַלְכֶםyour-laborבַּאֲדֹנֵינוּ׃in-the-Lord

    Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
