   אִם־בִּלְשֹׁנוֹתim-bil/sho/NOTif with the tongues ofאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenוּמַלְאָכִיםu/mal/a/KHIMand angelsאֲדַבֵּרa/dab/BERI speakוְאֵין־לִיve/EN-liand I have noחֶסֶדCHE/sedcharityהָיִיתִיha/YI/tiI have becomeכִּנְחֹשֶׁתkin/CHO/shetas bronzeהֹמָהho/MAsoundingאוֹoorכְּצִלְצַלke/tsil/TSALas a cymbal ofתְּרוּעָה׃te/ru/Aa blast

   Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

   וְאִםve/IMand ifתִּהְיֶה־לִּיtih/YE-liI haveנְבוּאָהne/vu/Aprophecyוְאֵדַעve/e/DAand I knowכׇּל־הַסּוֹדוֹתkol-has/so/DOTall the secretsוְכׇל־הַדָּעַתve/KHOL-had/DA/atand all knowledgeוְאִםve/IMand ifתִּהְיֶה־לִּיtih/YE-liI haveכׇּל־הָאֱמוּנָהkol-ha/e/mu/NAall faithעַדadso asלְהַעְתִּיקle/ha/TIKto moveהָרִיםha/RIMmountainsמִמְּקוֹמָםmim/me/ko/MAMfrom their placeוְאֵין־לִיve/EN-liand I have noחֶסֶדCHE/sedcharityאֵינֶנִּיe/NEN/niI am notמְאוּמָה׃me/U/maanything

   And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

   וְאִם־אֲחַלֵּקve/IM-a/chal/LEKand if I divideאֶת־כׇּל־הוֹנִיet-kol-ho/NIall my wealthלְהַאֲכִילle/ha/a/KHILto feedאֶבְיוֹנִיםev/yo/NIMthe poorוְאִם־אֶתֵּןve/IM-et/TENand if I giveאֶת־גּוּפִיet-gu/FImy bodyלִשְׂרֵפָהlis/re/FAto burningוְאֵין־לִיve/EN-liand I have noחֶסֶדCHE/sedcharityכׇּל־זֹאתkol-zotall thisלֹאlonotתוֹעִילֵנִי׃to/i/le/NIprofits me

   And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

   הַחֶסֶדha/CHE/sedcharityמַאֲרִיךְma/a/RIKHlengthensאַףafangerוּמֵטִיבu/me/TIVand does goodהַחֶסֶדha/CHE/sedcharityלֹאlonotיְקַנֵּאye/kan/NEis jealousהַחֶסֶדha/CHE/sedcharityלֹאlonotיִתְפָּאֵרyit/pa/ERboastsוְלֹאve/LOand notיִתְרוֹמֵם׃yit/ro/MEMis puffed up

   Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

   לֹאlonotיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEdoesדְּבַר־תִּפְלָהde/VAR-tif/LAan unseemly thingלֹא־יְבַקֵּשׁlo-ye/vak/KESHdoes not seekאֶת־אֲשֶׁר־לוֹet-a/SHER-lowhat is its ownלֹאlonotיִתְקַצֵּףyit/kats/TSEFis provokedמְהֵרָהme/he/RAquicklyלֹאlonoיַחְשֹׁבyach/SHOVthinksרָעָה׃ra/Aevil

   Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

   לֹאlonotיִשְׂמַחyis/MACHrejoicesבָּעַוְלָהba/av/LAin unrighteousnessאַךְakhbutיִשְׂמַחyis/MACHrejoicesבָּאֱמֶת׃ba/e/METin the truth

   Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

   יִשָּׂאyis/SAbearsכֹלkholallיַאֲמִיןya/a/MINbelievesכֹּלkolallיְקַוֶּהye/kav/VEhopesכֹלkholallיִסְבֹּלyis/BOLenduresכֹּל׃kolall

   Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8. 8

   הַחֶסֶדha/CHE/sedcharityלֹאlonotיִכָּשֵׁלyik/ka/SHELstumblesלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverאֲבָלa/VALbutאִם־נְבוּאוֹתim-ne/vu/OTwhether propheciesתִּכָּשַׁלְנָהtik/ka/shal/NAthey will stumbleאִם־לְשֹׁנוֹתim-le/sho/NOTwhether tonguesתֶּחְדַּלְנָהtech/dal/NAthey will ceaseאִם־דַּעַתim-DA/atwhether knowledgeתִּכְלֶה׃tikh/LEit will end

   Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

   כִּיkiforלְמִקְצָתle/mik/TSATin partאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweיֹדְעִיםyod/IMknowוּלְמִקְצָתu/le/mik/TSATand in partאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweנִבְּאִים׃nib/be/IMprophesy

   For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10. 10

    וּכְבוֹאu/khe/VOand when comesהַתָּמִיםhat/ta/MIMthe perfectאָזazthenעָבוֹרa/VORpassיַעֲבֹרya/a/VORwill passאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat which isלְמִקְצָת׃le/mik/TSATin part

    But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

    כַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenהָיִיתִיha/YI/tiI wasיֶלֶדYE/leda childכַּיֶּלֶדkay/YE/ledas a childדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI spokeכַּיֶּלֶדkay/YE/ledas a childהָגִיתִיha/GI/tiI meditatedכַּיֶּלֶדkay/YE/ledas a childחָשָׁבְתִּיcha/shav/TII thoughtוְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand whenהָיִיתִיha/YI/tiI becameלְאִישׁle/ISHa manהֲסִירֹתִיha/si/ro/TII put awayדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe things ofהַיַּלְדוּת׃hay/yal/DUTchildhood

    When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12. 12

    כִּיkiforכָעֵתkha/ETnowמַבִּיטִיםmab/bi/TIMlookאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweבְּמַרְאָהbe/mar/Ain a mirrorוּבְחִידוֹתu/ve/chi/DOTand in riddlesוְאָזve/AZand thenפָּנִיםpa/NIMfaceאֶל־פָּנִיםel-pa/NIMto faceכָּעֵתka/ETnowיוֹדֵעַyo/DE/aknowאֲנִיa/NIIלְמִקְצָתle/mik/TSATin partוְאָזve/AZand thenאֵדַעe/DAI will knowכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasגַּםgamalsoנוֹדַעְתִּי׃no/DA/tiI am known

    For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13. 13

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowשְׁלֹשׁ־אֵלֶּהshe/LOSH-EL/lethese threeתַעֲמֹדְנָהta/a/mod/NAremainהָאֱמוּנָהha/e/mu/NAfaithוְהַתִּקְוָהve/hat/tik/VAand hopeוְהַחֶסֶדve/ha/CHE/sedand charityאַךְakhbutהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLthe greatestמֵהֶןme/HENof themהוּאhuisהַחֶסֶד׃ha/CHE/sedcharity

    And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
