    וּבְעִנְיַןnow-concerningמַתְּנוֹתthe-gifts-ofהָרוּחַthe-Spiritאֶחָיbrethrenלֹא־אֲכַחֵדI-would-not-hideמִכֶּםfrom-youדָּבָר׃anything

    Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

    הֲלֹאknow-youיְדַעְתֶּםnotכִּיthatלְפָנִיםin-time-pastגּוֹיִםGentilesהֱיִיתֶםyou-wereוְאַחֲרֵיafterהָאֱלִילִיםthe-idolsהָאִלְּמִיםdumbהוּבַלְתֶּםyou-were-carriedוְגַםeven-asנִמְשַׁכְתֶּם׃you-were-led

    Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

    לָכֵןwhereforeאוֹדִיעI-give-to-understandאֶתְכֶםyouכִּיthatאֵיןnoאִישׁmanדֹּבֵרspeakingבְּרוּחַby-the-Spirit-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodוְיֹאמַרcallethלְיֵשׁוּעַJesusחֵרֶםaccursedוְגַםand-alsoלֹאnoיִקְרָאcan-sayאִישׁmanלְיֵשׁוּעַJesusאָדוֹןis-Lordבִּלְתִּיbutאִם־בְּרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁ׃by-the-Holy-Ghost

    Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

    וְהַמַּתָּנוֹתnow-the-giftsשֹׁנוֹתare-diverseאֲבָלbutאֶחָדoneהוּאisהָרוּחַ׃the-Spirit

    Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

  5. 5

    וְשֹׁנִיםand-diverse-areהַשִּׁמּוּשִׁיםthe-administrationsוְאֶחָדbut-oneהוּאisהָאָדוֹן׃the-Lord

    And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

  6. 6

    וְהַפְּעֻלּוֹתand-the-operationsשֹׁנוֹתare-diverseאֲבָלbutהָאֱלֹהִיםGodאֶחָדis-the-sameוְהוּאwhichהַפֹּעֵלworkethאֶת־הַכֹּלallבַּכֹּל׃in-all

    And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

    וּלְכׇל־אִישׁbut-to-every-manוָאִישׁand-manנִתְּנָהis-givenהִתְגַּלּוּתthe-manifestation-ofהָרוּחַthe-Spiritלְהוֹעִיל׃to-profit-withal

    But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

    כִּיforהָאֶחָדto-oneנִתַּן־לוֹis-givenעַל־יְדֵיbyהָרוּחַthe-Spiritדִּבּוּרthe-word-ofהַחׇכְמָהwisdomוּלְאַחַרto-anotherדִּבּוּרthe-word-ofהַדַּעַתknowledgeכְּפִיbyהָרוּחַthe-Spiritהַהוּא׃same

    For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

    לְאַחֵרto-anotherהָאֱמוּנָהfaithבָּרוּחַby-the-Spiritהַהוּאsameוּלְאַחֵרand-to-anotherמַתְּנוֹתthe-gifts-ofהָרְפֻאוֹתhealingבָּרוּחַby-the-Spiritהַהוּא׃same

    To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

    וּלְאַחֵרto-anotherלִפְעֹלthe-working-ofגְּבוּרוֹתmiraclesוּלְאַחֵרto-anotherנְבוּאָהprophecyוּלְאַחֵרto-anotherלְהַבְחִיןthe-discerningבֵּיןofהָרוּחוֹתspiritsוּלְאַחֵרto-anotherמִינֵיdivers-kinds-ofלְשֹׁנוֹתtonguesוּלְאַחֵרto-anotherבִּאוּרthe-interpretation-ofלְשֹׁנוֹת׃tongues

    To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

  11. 11

    וְכׇל־אֵלֶּהbut-all-theseיִפְעַלworkethהָרוּחַthe-Spiritהָאֶחָדthe-oneהַהוּאselfsameהַחֹלֵקdividingלְאִישׁto-every-manכִּרְצוֹנוֹ׃as-he-will

    But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

  12. 12

    כִּיforכַּאֲשֶׁרasהַגּוּףthe-bodyאֶחָדis-oneוּבוֹand-hathאֵבָרִיםmembersהַרְבֵּהmanyוְכׇל־אֵבָרֵיand-all-the-members-ofהַגּוּףthe-bodyאַףthoughכִּי־רַבִּיםmanyהֵםthey-beכֻּלָּםallגּוּףbodyאֶחָדoneכֵּןsoגַּםalsoהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃is-Christ

    For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

    כִּיforבְּרוּחַby-the-Spiritאֶחָדoneנִטְבַּלְנוּare-baptizedכֻלָּנוּwe-allלְגוּףinto-bodyאֶחָדoneאִם־יְהוּדִיםwhether-Jewsוְאִם־יְוָנִיםor-Greeksאִם־עֲבָדִיםwhether-bondוְאִם־בְּנֵיor-sons-ofחוֹרִיןfreeוְכֻלָּנוּand-allלְרוּחַinto-Spiritאֶחָדoneהָשְׁקִינוּ׃we-have-been-made-to-drink

    For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

  14. 14

    כִּיforגַם־הַגּוּףthe-body-alsoלֹאnotאֵבָרmemberאֶחָדoneהוּאisכִּיbutאִםratherרַבִּים׃many

    For the body is not one member, but many.

  15. 15

    אִם־תֹּאמַרif-shall-sayהָרֶגֶלthe-footלֹאnotיָדthe-handאֲנִיI-amעַל־כֵּןthereforeאֵינֶנִּיI-am-notמִן־הַגּוּףof-the-bodyהֲלָזֹאתis-it-for-thisלֹאnotמִן־הַגּוּףof-the-bodyהִיא׃it

    If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

  16. 16

    וְאִם־תֹּאמַרand-if-shall-sayהָאֹזֶןthe-earלֹאnotעַיִןthe-eyeאֲנִיI-amעַל־כֵּןthereforeאֵינֶנִּיI-am-notמִן־הַגּוּףof-the-bodyהֲלָזֹאתis-it-for-thisלֹאnotמִן־הַגּוּףof-the-bodyהִיא׃it

    And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

  17. 17

    אִם־הַגּוּףif-the-bodyכֻּלּוֹwholeיִהְיֶהwereעַיִןan-eyeאַיֵּהwhere-wereהַשָּׁמַעthe-hearingוְאִם־כֻּלּוֹand-if-the-wholeשֶׁמַעwere-hearingאַיֵּהwhere-wereהָרֵיחַ׃the-smelling

    If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

  18. 18

    וְעַתָּהbut-nowהָאֱלֹהִיםGodשָׁתhath-setאֶת־הָאֵבָרִיםthe-membersכׇּל־אֶחָדeachוְאֶחָדand-everyמֵהֶםof-themבַּגּוּףin-the-bodyכְּפִיasרְצוֹנוֹ׃it-hath-pleased-him

    But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

  19. 19

    וְאִלּוּ־הָיוּand-if-wereכֻלָּםallאֵבָרmemberאֶחָדoneאַיֵּהwhere-wereהַגּוּף׃the-body

    And if they were all one member, where were the body?

  20. 20

    הִנֵּהbut-nowרַבִּיםmanyהֵםare-theyהָאֵבָרִיםthe-membersוְהַגּוּףyet-the-bodyאֶחָד׃one

    But now are they many members, yet but one body.

  21. 21

    הָעַיִןthe-eyeלֹא־תוּכַלcannotדַּבֵּרsayאֶל־הַיָּדunto-the-handלֵאמֹרsayingלֹאI-have-noאֶצְטָרֵךְneedלָךְof-youוְגַם־הָרֹאשׁnor-again-the-headלֹא־יוּכַלcannotדַּבֵּרsayאֶל־הָרַגְלַיִםto-the-feetלֵאמֹרsayingלֹאI-have-noאֶצְטָרֵךְneedלָכֶן׃of-you

    And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

  22. 22

    כִּיnayלְהֶפֶךְmuch-moreאֵבָרֵיthe-members-ofהַגּוּףthe-bodyהַנִּרְאִיםwhich-seemרָפִיםmore-feebleצְרִיכִיםwe-have-need-ofאֲנוּweלָהֶםthemבְּיוֹתֵר׃the-more

    Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

  23. 23

    וְהַנִּרְאִיםand-those-which-seemלָנוּto-usנִקְלִיםless-honorableבַּגּוּףin-the-bodyאֹתָםtheseנַלְבִּישׁwe-clothe-withיֶתֶרmore-abundantכָּבוֹדhonorוַאֲשֶׁרand-that-which-isלְבשֶׁתuncomelyלָנוּto-usמַרְבִּיםwe-bestow-moreאֲנַחְנוּweאֶת־עֶדְיָם׃its-adornment

    And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

  24. 24

    כִּיforהָאֵבָרִיםthe-membersהַהֲגוּנִיםcomelyאֲשֶׁרwhichבָּנוּin-usאֵיןhave-noצֹרֶךְneedלָתֵתto-giveכָּבוֹדhonorלָהֶםthemוְכֵןbut-soמָזַגhath-temperedהָאֱלֹהִיםGodאֶת־הַגּוּףthe-bodyלָתֵתhaving-givenכָּבוֹדhonorיוֹתֵרmore-abundantלַגָּרוּעַ׃to-that-which-lacked

    For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:

  25. 25

    כְּדֵיthatשֶׁלּא־תִהְיֶהthere-should-be-noמַחֲלֹקֶתschismבַּגּוּףin-the-bodyכִּיbutאִם־יִדְאֲגוּthat-should-careכׇל־הָאֵבָרִיםall-the-membersיַחַדtogetherזֶהoneלָזֶה׃for-another

    That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

  26. 26

    וְאִם־יִכְאַבand-whether-sufferאֵבָרmemberאֶחָדoneיִכְאֲבוּsufferאִתּוֹwith-itכׇּל־הָאֵבָרִיםall-the-membersוְאִם־יְכֻבַּדor-be-honoredאֵבָרmemberאֶחָדoneיִשְׂמְחוּrejoiceאִתּוֹwith-itכׇּל־הָאֵבָרִים׃all-the-members

    And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

  27. 27

    וְאַתֶּםnow-youגּוּףthe-body-ofהַמָּשִׁיחַChristאַתֶּםareוְאֵבָרָיוand-his-membersכׇּל־אֶחָדeachלְפִיaccording-toחֶלְקוֹ׃his-part

    Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

  28. 28

    וּמֵהֶםand-someשָׂםhath-setהָאֱלֹהִיםGodבַּקָּהָלin-the-churchרִאשׁוֹנָהfirstלִשְׁלִיחִיםapostlesוְשֵׁנִיתsecondarilyלִנְבִיאִיםprophetsוּשְׁלִישִׁיתthirdlyלִמְלַמְּדִיםteachersוַיִּתֵּןthen-gave-heגְּבוּרוֹתmiraclesאַף־מַתְּנוֹתthen-the-gifts-ofהָרְפֻאוֹתhealingsוּתְמִיכוֹתhelpsוְהַנְהָגוֹתgovernmentsוּמִינֵיand-divers-kinds-ofלְשֹׁנוֹת׃tongues

    And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

  29. 29

    הֲכֻלָּםare-allשְׁלִיחִיםapostlesאִם־כֻּלָּםare-allנְבִיאִיםprophetsאוֹareכֻלָּםallמְלַמְּדִיםteachersהֲכֻלָּםare-allעֹשֵׂיworkers-ofגְבוּרוֹת׃miracles

    Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

  30. 30

    הַלְכֻלָּםhave-allמַתְּנוֹתthe-gifts-ofרְפֻאוֹתhealingהֲכֻלָּםdo-allמְדַבְּרִיםspeakבִּלְשֹׁנוֹתwith-tonguesהֲכֻלָּםdo-allמְבָאֲרֵיinterpretלְשֹׁנוֹת׃tongues

    Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

  31. 31

    וְאַתֶּםbut-youהִשְׁתַּדְּלוּcovet-earnestlyלְהַשִּׂיגto-obtainהַמַּתָּנוֹתthe-giftsהַטּוֹבוֹתthe-bestבְּיוֹתֵרof-allוַאֲנִיand-yetהִנְנִיIמוֹרֶהshewאֶתְכֶםyouדֶּרֶךְa-wayנַעֲלָהmore-excellentעַל־כֻּלָּנָה׃than-all

    But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
