1. 18

   אָזthenאָמְרוּsaidהַפְּרוּשִׁיםthe-Phariseesאֵלָיוunto-himמַדּוּעַwhyלֹאwill-you-notתְּקַבְּלֵנוּreceive-usבִּטְבִילָתֵנוּwith-our-baptismהֲלֹאseeingשׁוֹמְרִיםkeepאֲנַחְנוּweאֶת־כׇּלthe-wholeהַתּוֹרָה׃the-law

   Then said the Pharisees unto him, Why will ye not receive us with our baptism, seeing we keep the whole law?

2. 19

   וַיֹּאמֶרbut-saidיֵשׁוּעַJesusלָהֶםunto-themלֹאnotשׁוֹמְרִיםkeepאַתֶּםyouאֶת־הַתּוֹרָהthe-lawלוּifשְׁמַרְתֶּםyou-had-keptאֶת־הַתּוֹרָהthe-lawקִבַּלְתֶּםyou-would-have-receivedאוֹתִיmeכִּיforאָנֹכִיI-amהוּאheאֲשֶׁרwhoנָתַןgaveאֶת־הַתּוֹרָה׃the-law

   But Jesus said unto them, Ye keep not the law. If ye had kept the law, ye would have received me, for I am he who gave the law.

3. 20

   אֵינֶנִּיI-am-notמְקַבֵּלreceivingאֶתְכֶםyouבִּטְבִילַתְכֶםwith-your-baptismכִּיbecauseלֹאnotתוֹעִילit-profitethלָכֶםyouמְאוּמָה׃nothing

   I receive not you with your baptism, because it profiteth you nothing.

4. 21

   כִּיforכַּאֲשֶׁרwhenהֶחָדָשׁthat-which-is-newבָּאis-comeהַיָּשָׁןthe-oldמוּכָןis-readyלָסוּר׃to-be-put-away

   For when that which is new is come, the old is ready to be put away.
