   כִּיforמַלְכִּי־צֶדֶקMelchizedekזֶהthisהֻסְמַךְwas-ordainedלְכֹהֵןa-priestעַל־דִּבְרָתִיafter-the-order-ofבֶּן־הָאֱלֹהִיםthe-Son-of-Godאֲשֶׁרwhichהַדִּבְרָהorderהָיְתָהwasבְּאֵין־אָבwithout-fatherבְּאֵין־אֵםwithout-motherבְּאֵיןwithoutיַחַשׂdescentוּלְיָמֶיהָof-daysאֵיןhaving-neitherתְּחִלָּהbeginningוּלְחַיֶּיהָof-lifeאֵיןnorסוֹףendוְכׇל־הַמֻּסְמָכִיםand-all-those-who-are-ordainedלַכְּהֻנָּהunto-the-priesthoodהַזֹּאתthisנִדְמוּare-made-likeלְבֶן־הָאֱלֹהִיםunto-the-Son-of-Godעֹמְדִיםabidingכֹּהֲנִיםa-priestלָנֶצַח׃continually

   For this Melchizedek was ordained a priest after the order of the Son of God, which order was without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life. And all those who are ordained unto this priesthood are made like unto the Son of God, abiding a priest continually.

   כִּיforהַתּוֹרָהthe-lawנִתְּנָהwas-administeredבְּלֹאwithoutשְׁבוּעָהan-oathוְלֹא־הִשְׁלִימָהand-made-not-perfectדָּבָרnothingכִּי־אִםbutהָיְתָהwasלְהָבִיאthe-bringing-in-ofתִּקְוָהa-hopeטוֹבָהbetterיוֹתֵרmoreבִּלְבַדonlyאֲשֶׁרbyבָּהּthe-whichנִקְרַבwe-draw-nighלֵאלֹהִים׃unto-God

   For the law was administered without an oath and made nothing perfect, but was only the bringing in of a better hope; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

   וּכְפִיinasmuchאֲשֶׁרasהַכֹּהֵןthe-priestהַגָּדוֹלhighהַזֶּהthisלֹאnotהָיָהwasבְּלֹאwithoutשְׁבוּעָהan-oathכֵּןby-so-muchנַעֲשָׂהwas-madeיֵשׁוּעַJesusעָרֵבthe-suretyלִבְרִיתof-a-testamentטוֹבָהbetterיוֹתֵר׃more

   Inasmuch as this high priest was not without an oath, by so much was Jesus made the surety of a better testament.
