   And now, it came to pass that after Abinadi had spoken these words he stretched forth his hand and said: The time shall come when all shall see the salvation of the Lord; when every nation, kindred, tongue, and people shall see eye to eye and shall confess before God that his judgments are just.

   וְאָזve/AZand thenיֻשְׁלְכוּyush/le/KHUshall be cast outהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMthe wickedוְיֵשׁve/YESHand there shall beלָהֶםla/HEMunto themלְהֵילִילle/he/LILcause to howlוְלִבְכּוֹתve/liv/KOTand weepוּלְקוֹנֵןu/le/ko/NENand wailוְלַחֲרֹקve/la/cha/ROKand gnashשֵׁןshentheir teethוְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisכִּי־לֹאki-lobecause notשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Uthey hearkenedלְקוֹלle/KOLunto the voiceיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeלֹאlonotיִגְאָלֵםyig/a/LEMshall redeem themיְהוָה׃AdonaiAdonai

   And then shall the wicked be cast out, and they shall have cause to howl, and weep, and wail, and gnash their teeth; and this because they would not hearken unto the voice of the Lord; therefore the Lord redeemeth them not.

   כִּיkiforבָשָׂרva/SARcarnalוְשֵׁדִיִּיםve/she/diy/YIMand devilishהֵמָּהHEM/mathey areוְהַשָּׂטָןve/has/sa/TANand the devilמוֹשֵׁלmo/SHELhas powerבָּםbamover themהוּאhuhe isהַנָּחָשׁhan/na/CHASHthe serpentהַקַּדְמוֹנִיhak/kad/mo/NIoldאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהִשִּׁיאhish/SHIbeguiledאֶת־אָבִינוּet-a/VI/nuour fatherוְאִמֵּנוּve/im/me/NUand motherהָרִאשֹׁנִיםha/ri/sho/NIMthe firstוַיָּבֵאvay/ya/VEwhich was the causeאֶת־נְפִילָתָםet-ne/fi/la/TAMof their fallוַיְהִיvay/HIand becameכׇּל־הָאָדָםkol-ha/a/DAMall mankindבָּשָׂרba/SARcarnalוְתַאֲוָנִיִּיםve/ta/a/va/niy/YIMsensualוְשֵׁדִיִּיםve/she/diy/YIMand devilishיֹדְעֵיyod/Eknowingטוֹבtovgoodוָרָעva/RAand evilנִכְנָעִיםnikh/na/IMsubjecting themselvesלַשָּׂטָן׃las/sa/TANto the devil

   For they are carnal and devilish, and the devil has power over them; yea, even that old serpent that did beguile our first parents, which was the cause of their fall; which was the cause of all mankind becoming carnal, sensual, devilish, knowing evil from good, subjecting themselves to the devil.

4. 4

   וְכֵןve/KHENand thusכׇּל־הָאָדָםkol-ha/a/DAMall mankindאֹבֵדo/VEDwere lostוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאֲבֵדַתa/ve/DATwith a lossאֵין־קֵץen-ketsendlessהָיוּha/YUwould have beenאֹבְדִיםov/DIMlostלוּלֵאlu/LEwere it not thatגָּאַלga/ALredeemedאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־עַמּוֹet-am/MOHis peopleמֵאׇבְדָםme/ov/DAMfrom their lostוּנְפִילָתָם׃u/ne/fi/la/TAMand fallen state

   Thus all mankind were lost; and behold, they would have been endlessly lost were it not that God redeemed his people from their lost and fallen state.

   אַךְakhbutזִכְרוּzikh/RUrememberכִּיkithatהַמַּחֲזִיקham/ma/cha/ZIKhe that persistsבְּיֵצֶרbe/YE/tserin the inclinationבְּשָׂרוֹbe/sa/ROof his fleshוְהֹלֵךְve/ho/LEKHand goes onבְּדַרְכֵיbe/dar/KHEin the waysחֵטְאchetof sinוּמֶרִיu/ME/riand rebellionבֵּאלֹהִיםbe/lo/HIMagainst Godיִשָּׁאֵרyish/sha/ERhe shall remainבִּנְפִילָתוֹbin/fi/la/TOin his fallen stateוְלַשָּׂטָןve/las/sa/TANand the devil hasכׇּל־כֹּחַkol-KO/achall powerעָלָיוa/LAYVover himוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand he isכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERas thoughלֹא־נַעֲשָׂהlo-na/a/SAthere had been noפְדוּתfe/DUTredemptionבִּהְיוֹתוֹbih/yo/TObeingאוֹיֵבo/YEVan enemyלֵאלֹהִיםle/lo/HIMto Godוְגַםve/GAMand alsoהַשָּׂטָןhas/sa/TANthe devilאוֹיֵבo/YEVis an enemyלֵאלֹהִים׃le/lo/HIMto God

   But remember that he that persists in his own carnal nature, and goes on in the ways of sin and rebellion against God, remaineth in his fallen state and the devil hath all power over him. Therefore he is as though there was no redemption made, being an enemy to God; and also is the devil an enemy to God.

6. 6

   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowלוּלֵאlu/LEwere it not thatבָּאbacameהַמָּשִׁיחַHam/ma/SHI/achChristלָעוֹלָםla/o/LAMinto the worldבְּדַבְּרוֹbe/dab/be/ROspeakingעַל־הָעֲתִידוֹתal-ha/a/ti/DOTof things to comeכְּמוֹke/MOas thoughבָּאוּBA/uthey cameכְּבָרke/VARalreadyלֹא־הָיְתָהlo-ha/ye/TAthere could have been noפְדוּת׃fe/DUTredemption

   And now if Christ had not come into the world, speaking of things to come as though they had already come, there could have been no redemption.

7. 7

   וְלוּלֵאve/lu/LEand were it not thatקָםkamroseהַמָּשִׁיחַHam/ma/SHI/achChristמִן־הַמֵּתִיםmin-ham/me/TIMfrom the deadאוֹoorנִתֵּקnit/TEKbrokenאֶת־מוֹסְרוֹתet-mos/ROTthe bandsהַמָּוֶתham/MA/vetof deathלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIthat notהֱיוֹתhe/YOTshould haveנִצָּחוֹןnits/tsa/CHONvictoryלַקֶּבֶרlak/KE/verto the graveוּלְבִלְתִּיu/le/vil/TIand that notהֱיוֹתhe/YOTshould haveעֹקֶץO/ketsstingלַמָּוֶתlam/MA/vetto deathלֹא־הָיְתָהlo-ha/ye/TAthere could have been noתְקוּמָה׃te/ku/MAresurrection

   And if Christ had not risen from the dead, or have broken the bands of death that the grave should have no victory, and that death should have no sting, there could have been no resurrection.

8. 8

   אַךְakhbutיֵשׁyeshthere isתְּקוּמָהte/ku/MAa resurrectionלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאֵיןenthere is noנִצָּחוֹןnits/tsa/CHONvictoryלַקֶּבֶרlak/KE/verto the graveוְעֹקֶץve/O/ketsand the stingהַמָּוֶתham/MA/vetof deathנִבְלָעniv/LAis swallowed upבַּמָּשִׁיחַ׃bam/Ma/SHI/achin Christ

   But there is a resurrection, therefore the grave hath no victory, and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ.

9. 9

   הוּאhuHe isאוֹרorthe lightהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMof the worldוְחַיָּיוve/chay/YAYVand its lifeאַףafyeaאוֹרora lightאֵין־קֵץen-ketsendlessאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־יֶחְשַׁךְlo-yech/SHAKHcan never be darkenedוְגַםve/GAMyea and alsoחַיֵּיchay/YEa lifeאֵין־קֵץen-ketsendlessאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֵין־מָוֶתen-MA/vetthere is no deathעוֹד׃odmore

   He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless, that can never be darkened; yea, and also a life which is endless, that there can be no more death.

10. 10

    אַףafevenהַבָּשָׂרhab/ba/SARthe mortalהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisיִלְבַּשׁyil/BASHshall put onאַל־מָוֶתal-MA/vetimmortalityוְהַכָּלָהve/hak/ka/LAand the corruptionהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisתִּלְבַּשׁtil/BASHshall put onאַל־כִּלָּיוֹןal-kil/la/YONincorruptionוְיוּבְאוּve/yuv/Uand shall be broughtלַעֲמֹדla/a/MODto standלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeכִּסֵּאkis/SEthe barדִיןdinof judgmentאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godלְהִשָּׁפֵטle/hish/sha/FETto be judgedלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVby Himכְּמַעֲשֵׂיהֶםke/ma/a/se/HEMaccording to their worksאִם־טוֹבִיםim-to/VIMwhether they be goodוְאִם־רָעִים׃ve/IM-ra/IMor whether they be evil

    Even this mortal shall put on immortality, and this corruption shall put on incorruption, and shall be brought to stand before the bar of God, to be judged of him according to their works whether they be good or whether they be evil—

11. 11

    אִם־טוֹבִיםim-to/VIMif they be goodלִתְקוּמַתlit/ku/MATto the resurrectionחַיֵּיchay/YEof lifeאֵין־קֵץen-ketsof endlessוְשִׂמְחָהve/sim/CHAand happinessוְאִם־רָעִיםve/IM-ra/IMand if they be evilלִתְקוּמַתlit/ku/MATto the resurrectionדִּיןdinof damnationאֵין־קֵץen-ketsendlessבְּהִמָּסְרָםbe/him/ma/se/RAMbeing delivered upלַשָּׂטָןlas/sa/TANto the devilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהִכְנִיעָםhikh/ni/AMsubjected themוְהוּאve/HUand this isהַדִּין׃had/DINthe damnation

    If they be good, to the resurrection of endless life and happiness; and if they be evil, to the resurrection of endless damnation, being delivered up to the devil, who hath subjected them, which is damnation—

    הָלְכוּha/le/KHUthey wentאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterרְצוֹןre/TSONthe willבְּשָׂרָםbe/sa/RAMof their fleshוְתַאֲוָתָםve/ta/a/va/TAMand desiresוְלֹא־קָרְאוּve/LO-ka/re/Uand called notאֶל־יְהוָהel-Adonaiupon Adonaiבְּעוֹדbe/ODwhile yetזְרוֹעוֹתze/ro/OTthe armsהַחֶסֶדha/CHE/sedof mercyנְטוּיוֹתne/tu/YOTwere extendedאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMtowards themכִּיkiforזְרוֹעוֹתze/ro/OTthe armsהַחֶסֶדha/CHE/sedof mercyנְטוּיוֹתne/tu/YOTwere extendedאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMtowards themוְלֹאve/LOand notאָבוּa/VUthey wouldהֻזְהֲרוּhuz/ha/RUbeing warnedמֵעֲוֹנוֹתֵיהֶםme/a/vo/no/te/HEMof their iniquitiesוְעוֹדve/ODand againלֹא־סָרוּlo-SA/ruthey did not departמֵהֶםme/HEMfrom themוַיְצֻוּוּvay/tsuv/VUand they were commandedלָשׁוּבla/SHUVto repentוְלֹא־שָׁבוּ׃ve/LO-SHA/vuand yet they did not repent

    Having gone according to their own carnal wills and desires; having never called upon the Lord while the arms of mercy were extended towards them; for the arms of mercy were extended towards them, and they would not; they being warned of their iniquities and yet they would not depart from them; and they were commanded to repent and yet they would not repent.

13. 13

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהֲלֹאha/LOought notעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMyouלִרְעֹדlir/ODto trembleוְלָשׁוּבve/la/SHUVand repentמֵחַטֹּאתֵיכֶםme/chat/to/te/KHEMof your sinsוְלִזְכֹּרve/liz/KORand to rememberכִּיkithatרַקrakonlyבַּמָּשִׁיחַbam/Ma/SHI/achin Christוּבַעֲדוֹu/va/a/DOand through Himתִּוָּשְׁעוּ׃tiv/va/she/Ucan you be saved

    And now, ought ye not to tremble and repent of your sins, and remember that only in and through Christ ye can be saved?

14. 14

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאִם־תּוֹרוּim-to/RUif you teachאֶת־תּוֹרַתet-to/RATthe lawמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEof Mosesהוֹרוּho/RUteachגַםgamalsoכִּיkithatצֵלtsela shadowהִיאhiit isלַדְּבָרִיםlad/de/va/RIMof things whichהַבָּאִים׃hab/ba/IMare to come

    Therefore, if ye teach the law of Moses, also teach that it is a shadow of those things which are to come—

15. 15

    הוֹרוּho/RUteachכִּיkithatהַגְּאֻלָּהhag/ge/ul/LAredemptionבָּאָהba/Acomesבַּמָּשִׁיחַbam/Ma/SHI/achthrough Christהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהוּאhuisאֲבִיA/VIthe FatherעוֹלָםO/LAMof Eternalאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    Teach them that redemption cometh through Christ the Lord, who is the very Eternal Father. Amen.
