   And now when the king had heard these words, he said unto his priests: Away with this fellow, and slay him; for what have we to do with him, for he is mad.

   וַיִּגְּשׁוּvay/yig/ge/SHUand they came forthוַיְבַקְשׁוּvay/vak/SHUand soughtלִשְׁלֹחַlish/LO/achto layבּוֹboupon himיָדyadhandsוַיַּעֲמֹדvay/ya/a/MODand he withstoodלִפְנֵיהֶםlif/ne/HEMbefore themוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMunto them

   And they stood forth and attempted to lay their hands on him; but he withstood them, and said unto them:

   Touch me not, for God shall smite you if ye lay your hands upon me, for I have not delivered the message which the Lord sent me to deliver; neither have I told you that which ye requested that I should tell; therefore, God will not suffer that I shall be destroyed at this time.

   אַךְakhbutעָלַיa/LAYupon me isלְהַשְׁלִיםle/hash/LIMto fulfillאֶת־הַמִּצְוֹתet-ham/mits/VOTthe commandmentsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichצִוַּנִיtsiv/VA/nicommanded meאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוְעַלve/ALand becauseכִּיkithatהִגַּדְתִּיhig/GAD/tiI toldלָכֶםla/KHEMyouאֱמֶתe/METthe truthקְצַפְתֶּםke/tsaf/TEMyou are wrothעָלָיa/LAYwith meוְעוֹדve/ODand againעַלalbecauseכִּי־דִבַּרְתִּיki-dib/BAR/tithat I spokeדְּבַר־אֱלֹהִיםde/VAR-e/lo/HIMthe word of Godשְׁפַטְתֶּםshe/fat/TEMyou judgedאֹתִיo/TImeלִמְשֻׁגָּע׃lim/shug/GAthat I am mad

   But I must fulfil the commandments wherewith God has commanded me; and because I have told you the truth ye are angry with me. And again, because I have spoken the word of God ye have judged me that I am mad.

   Now it came to pass after Abinadi had spoken these words that the people of king Noah durst not lay their hands on him, for the Spirit of the Lord was upon him; and his face shone with exceeding luster, even as Moses’ did while in the mount of Sinai, while speaking with the Lord.

   וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand he spokeבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achwith powerוּבְשִׁלְטוֹןu/ve/shil/TONand authorityמֵאֵתme/ETfromאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוַיּוֹסֶףvay/YO/sefand he continuedלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERto speakלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And he spake with power and authority from God; and he continued his words, saying:

   הִנְּכֶםhin/ne/KHEMbehold youרֹאִיםro/IMseeכִּיkithatאֵיןenthere is noבְּיֶדְכֶםbe/yed/KHEMin your powerלַהֲמִיתֵנִיla/ha/mi/TE/nito slay meלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאֲכַלֶּהa/khal/LEI shall finishאֶת־מַשָּׂאִיet-mas/sa/Imy messageוְגַם־רֹאֶהve/GAM-ro/Eand also perceiveאֲנִיa/NIIכִּיkithatיַכְאִיבyakh/IVit shall painלִבְּכֶםlib/be/KHEMyour heartsכִּיkibecauseאַגִּידag/GIDI tellלָכֶםla/KHEMyouאֱמֶתe/METthe truthעַלalconcerningעֲוֹנֹתֵיכֶם׃a/vo/no/te/KHEMyour iniquities

   Ye see that ye have not power to slay me, therefore I finish my message. Yea, and I perceive that it cuts you to your hearts because I tell you the truth concerning your iniquities.

8. 8

   וְגַםve/GAMand alsoדְּבָרַיde/va/RAYmy wordsמְמַלְּאִיםme/mal/le/IMfillאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouפֶּלֶאPE/lewith wonderוְתִמָּהוֹןve/tim/ma/HONand amazementוָכַעַס׃va/KHA/asand with anger

   Yea, and my words fill you with wonder and amazement, and with anger.

9. 9

   אַךְakhbutאֲכַלֶּהa/khal/LEI shall finishאֶת־מַשָּׂאִיet-mas/sa/Imy messageוְאַחֲרֵי־כֵןve/a/cha/RE-khenand thenאַחַתa/CHAToneהִיאhiit isלִיlito meאָנָהA/nawhitherאֵלֵךְe/LEKHI shall goאִםimifאִוָּשֵׁעַ׃iv/va/SHE/aI be saved

   But I finish my message; and then it matters not whither I go, if it so be that I am saved.

    אַךְakhbutזֹאתzotthis muchאַגִּידag/GIDI tellלָכֶםla/KHEMyouכִּיkithatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתַּעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou doלִיlito meאַחֲרֵי־כֵןa/cha/RE-khenafter thisיִהְיֶהyih/YEit shall beלְאוֹתle/OTfor a typeוּלְצֵלu/le/TSELand a shadowלַדְּבָרִיםlad/de/va/RIMof thingsהַבָּאִים׃hab/ba/IMwhich are to come

    But this much I tell you, what you do with me, after this, shall be as a type and a shadow of things which are to come.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאֶקְרָאek/RAI will readלִפְנֵיכֶםlif/ne/KHEMunto youאֶת־יֶתֶרet-YE/terthe restמִצְוֹת־אֱלֹהִיםmits/VOT-e/lo/HIMof the commandments of Godכִּיkiforרֹאֶהro/Eperceiveאֲנִיa/NIIכִּי־לֹאki-lothat notנִכְתְּבוּnikh/te/VUthey are writtenבִּלְבַבְכֶםbil/vav/KHEMin your heartsרֹאֶהro/Eperceiveאֲנִיa/NIIכִּיkithatלְמַדְתֶּםle/mad/TEMyou learnedוְהוֹרֵיתֶםve/ho/re/TEMand taughtעָוֹןa/VONiniquityרֹבrovmostיְמֵיכֶם׃ye/me/KHEMof your days

    And now I read unto you the remainder of the commandments of God, for I perceive that they are not written in your hearts; I perceive that ye have studied and taught iniquity the most part of your lives.

12. 12

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowזִכְרוּzikh/RUrememberכִּיkithatאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלֹא־תַעֲשֶׂהlo-ta/a/SEyou shall not makeלְךָle/KHAunto youפֶסֶלFE/selany graven imageוְכׇל־תְּמוּנָהve/KHOL-te/mu/NAor any likenessאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof that whichבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin heavenמִמַּעַלmim/MA/alaboveוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERor thatבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the earthמִתָּחַתmit/TA/chatbeneathוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERor thatבַּמַּיִםbam/MA/yimin the waterמִתַּחַתmit/TA/chatunderלָאָרֶץ׃la/A/retsthe earth

    And now, ye remember that I said unto you: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of things which are in heaven above, or which are in the earth beneath, or which are in the water under the earth.

    וְגַםve/GAMand againלֹא־תִשְׁתַּחֲוֶהlo-tish/ta/cha/VEshall not bow down yourselfלָהֶםla/HEMunto themוְלֹאve/LOnorתׇעׇבְדֵםto/ov/DEMserve themכִּיkiforאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godאֵלela Godקַנָּאkan/NAjealousפֹּקֵדpo/KEDvisitingעֲוֹןa/VONthe iniquityאָבוֹתa/VOTof the fathersעַל־בָּנִיםal-ba/NIMupon the childrenעַל־שִׁלֵּשִׁיםal-shil/le/SHIMupon the thirdוְעַל־רִבֵּעִיםve/AL-rib/be/IMand fourth generationלְשֹׂנְאָי׃le/son/AYof them that hate Me

    And again: Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them; for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquities of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generations of them that hate me;

14. 14

    וְעֹשֶׂהve/O/seand showingחֶסֶדCHE/sedmercyלַאֲלָפִיםla/a/la/FIMunto thousandsלְאֹהֲבַיle/o/ha/VAYof them that love Meוּלְשֹׁמְרֵיu/le/shom/REand to those who keepמִצְוֹתָי׃mits/vo/TAYMy commandments

    And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

15. 15

    לֹאloyou shall notתִשָּׂאtis/SAtakeאֶת־שֵׁם־יְהוָהet-Shem-Adonaithe name of Adonaiאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godלַשָּׁוְאlash/SHAVin vainכִּי־לֹאki-lofor notיְנַקֶּהye/nak/KEshall hold guiltlessיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־יִשָּׂאet-a/SHER-yis/SAhim that takesאֶת־שְׁמוֹet-she/MOHis nameלַשָּׁוְא׃lash/SHAVin vain

    Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

16. 16

    זָכוֹרza/KHORrememberאֶת־יוֹםet-yomthe dayהַשַּׁבָּתhash/shab/BATthe sabbathלְקַדְּשׁוֹ׃le/kad/de/SHOto keep it holy

    Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

17. 17

    שֵׁשֶׁת־יָמִיםSHE/shet-ya/MIMsix daysתַּעֲבֹדta/a/VODshall you laborוְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand doכׇּל־מְלַאכְתֶּךָ׃kol-me/lakh/TE/khaall your work

    Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work;

18. 18

    וְיוֹםve/YOMand dayהַשְּׁבִיעִיhash/she/vi/Ithe seventhשַׁבָּתshab/BATthe sabbathלַיהוָהla-Adonaiof Adonaiאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godלֹא־תַעֲשֶׂהlo-ta/a/SEyou shall not doכׇל־מְלָאכָהkhol-me/la/KHAany workאַתָּהat/TAyouוּבִנְךָu/vin/KHAnor your sonוּבִתֶּךָu/vit/TE/khanor your daughterעַבְדְּךָav/de/KHAyour manservantוַאֲמָתְךָva/a/ma/te/KHAnor your maidservantוּבְהֶמְתֶּךָu/ve/hem/TE/khanor your cattleוְגֵרְךָve/ger/KHAnor your strangerאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ׃bish/a/RE/khawithin your gates

    But the seventh day, the sabbath of the Lord thy God, thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates;

19. 19

    כִּיkiforשֵׁשֶׁת־יָמִיםSHE/shet-ya/MIMin six daysעָשָׂהa/SAmadeיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֶת־הַשָּׁמַיִםet-hash/sha/MA/yimheavenוְאֶת־הָאָרֶץve/ET-ha/A/retsand the earthאֶת־הַיָּםet-hay/YAMthe seaוְאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּםve/ET-kol-a/SHER-bamand all that in themעַל־כֵּןal-kenwhereforeבֵּרַךְbe/RAKHblessedיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֶת־יוֹםet-yomthe dayהַשַּׁבָּתhash/shab/BATthe sabbathוַיְקַדְּשֵׁהוּ׃vay/kad/de/SHE/huand hallowed it

    For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is; wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

20. 20

    כַּבֵּדkab/BEDhonorאֶת־אָבִיךָet-a/VI/khayour fatherוְאֶת־אִמֶּךָve/ET-im/ME/khaand your motherלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיַאֲרִיכוּןya/a/ri/KHUNmay be longיָמֶיךָya/ME/khayour daysעַלaluponהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAthe landאֲשֶׁר־יְהוָהa/SHER-Adonaiwhich Adonaiאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godנֹתֵןno/TENgivesלָךְ׃lakhyou

    Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

21. 21

    לֹאloyou shall notתִּרְצָח׃tir/TSACHkill

    Thou shalt not kill.

22. 22

    לֹאloyou shall notתִּנְאָףtin/AFcommit adulteryלֹאloyou shall notתִּגְנֹב׃tig/NOVsteal

    Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou shalt not steal.

23. 23

    לֹא־תַעֲנֶהlo-ta/a/NEyou shall not bearבְרֵעֲךָve/re/a/KHAagainst your neighborעֵדedwitnessשָׁקֶר׃SHA/kerfalse

    Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

24. 24

    לֹא־תַחְמֹדlo-tach/MODyou shall not covetבֵּיתbetthe houseרֵעֶךָre/E/khaof your neighborלֹא־תַחְמֹדlo-tach/MODyou shall not covetאֵשֶׁתE/shetthe wifeרֵעֶךָre/E/khaof your neighborוְעַבְדּוֹve/av/DOnor his manservantוַאֲמָתוֹva/a/ma/TOnor his maidservantוְשׁוֹרוֹve/sho/ROnor his oxוַחֲמֹרוֹva/cha/mo/ROnor his assוְכֹלve/KHOLnor anythingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלְרֵעֶךָ׃le/re/E/khayour neighbor's

    Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor’s.

25. 25

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכְּכַלּוֹתke/khal/LOTwhen made an endאֲבִינָדִיA/VI/na/diof Abinadiאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe sayingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themהֲלִמַּדְתֶּםha/lim/mad/TEMhave you taughtאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלִשְׁמֹרlish/MORto keepוְלַעֲשׂוֹתve/la/a/SOTand doאֶת־כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִיםet-kol-had/de/va/RIMall the thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִשְׁמְרוּyish/me/RUthey shall keepאֶת־הַמִּצְוֹתet-ham/mits/VOTthe commandmentsהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/EL/lethese

    And it came to pass that after Abinadi had made an end of these sayings that he said unto them: Have ye taught this people that they should observe to do all these things for to keep these commandments?

26. 26

    אֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלֹאlonayכִּי־אִםki-imfor ifכֵּןkensoלֹא־שָׁלַחlo-sha/LACHwould not sentיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֹתִיo/TImeלָבֹאla/VOto come forthוּלְהִנָּבֵאu/le/hin/na/VEand to prophesyרָעָהra/Aevilעַל־הָעָםal-ha/AMconcerning the peopleהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    I say unto you, Nay; for if ye had, the Lord would not have caused me to come forth and to prophesy evil concerning this people.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאֲמַרְתֶּםa/mar/TEMyou saidכִּיkithatתָּבֹאta/VOcomesהַיְשׁוּעָהhay/shu/Asalvationבְּתוֹרַתbe/to/RATby the lawמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEof Mosesאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youכִּיkithat it isנָכוֹןna/KHONexpedientלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youלִשְׁמֹרlish/MORto keepאֶת־תּוֹרַתet-to/RATthe lawמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEof Mosesעַד־עַתָּהad-at/TAas yetאַךְakhbutאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youכִּיkithatיָבֹאya/VOshall comeיוֹםyoma dayוְלֹא־יִהְיֶהve/LO-yih/YEand it shall not beעוֹדodmoreנָכוֹןna/KHONexpedientלִשְׁמֹרlish/MORto keepאֶת־תּוֹרַתet-to/RATthe lawמֹשֶׁה׃Mo/SHEof Moses

    And now ye have said that salvation cometh by the law of Moses. I say unto you that it is expedient that ye should keep the law of Moses as yet; but I say unto you, that the time shall come when it shall no more be expedient to keep the law of Moses.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand moreoverאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youכִּי־לֹאki-lothat notתָבֹאta/VOdoes comeהַיְשׁוּעָהhay/shu/Asalvationבַּתּוֹרָהbat/to/RAby the lawלְבַדָּהּle/vad/DAaloneוְלוּלֵיve/lu/LEand were it not forהַכַּפָּרָהhak/kap/pa/RAthe atonementאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEshall makeאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodהוּאhuHimselfלְחַטֹּאתle/chat/TOTfor the sinsעַמּוֹam/MOof His peopleוַעֲוֹנוֹתֵיהֶםva/a/vo/no/te/HEMand their iniquitiesכִּיkithatאָזazthenאָבֹדa/VODperishיֹאבְדוּyo/ve/DUthey must unavoidably perishאַףafevenעִם־תּוֹרַתim-to/RATwith the lawמֹשֶׁה׃Mo/SHEof Moses

    And moreover, I say unto you, that salvation doth not come by the law alone; and were it not for the atonement, which God himself shall make for the sins and iniquities of his people, that they must unavoidably perish, notwithstanding the law of Moses.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youכִּיkithatנָכוֹןna/KHONexpedientהָיָהha/YAwasלָתֵתla/TETto giveתּוֹרָהto/RAa lawלִבְנֵיliv/NEto the childrenיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELof Israelאַףafyea evenתּוֹרָהto/RAa lawחֲזָקָהcha/za/KAstrictמְאֹדme/ODveryכִּיkiforעַם־קְשֵׁה־עֹרֶףam-ke/SHE-O/refa stiffnecked peopleהֵמָּהHEM/mathey wereמְמַהֲרִיםme/ma/ha/RIMquickלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doרָעָהra/Aevilוּמְאַחֲרִיםu/me/a/cha/RIMand slowלִזְכֹּרliz/KORto rememberאֶת־יְהוָהet-AdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהֵיהֶם׃e/lo/he/HEMtheir God

    And now I say unto you that it was expedient that there should be a law given to the children of Israel, yea, even a very strict law; for they were a stiffnecked people, quick to do iniquity, and slow to remember the Lord their God;

    עַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAwas givenלָהֶםla/HEMthemתּוֹרָהto/RAa lawאַףafyeaתּוֹרַתto/RATa lawמַעֲשִׂיםma/a/SIMof performancesוְחֻקִּיםve/chuk/KIMand of ordinancesתּוֹרָהto/RAa lawאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִשְׁמְרוּyish/me/RUthey shall keepמְאֹדme/ODstrictlyיוֹםyomdayיוֹםyomby dayלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִזְכְּרוּyiz/ke/RUthey may rememberאֶת־אֱלֹהִיםet-e/lo/HIMGodוּמִשְׁמַרְתָּםu/mish/mar/TAMand their dutyאֵלָיו׃e/LAYVunto Him

    Therefore there was a law given them, yea, a law of performances and of ordinances, a law which they were to observe strictly from day to day, to keep them in remembrance of God and their duty towards him.

31. 31

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youכִּיkithatכׇל־הַדְּבָרִיםkhol-had/de/va/RIMall the thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseהָיוּha/YUwereלְאוֹתוֹתle/o/TOTtypesלַדְּבָרִיםlad/de/va/RIMof thingsהַבָּאִים׃hab/ba/IMwhich were to come

    But behold, I say unto you, that all these things were types of things to come.

32. 32

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהַהֵבִינוּha/he/VI/nudid they understandאֶת־הַתּוֹרָהet-hat/to/RAthe lawאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלֹאlonayלֹא־הֵבִינוּlo-he/VI/nuthey did not understandכֻלָּםkhul/LAMall of themאֶת־הַתּוֹרָהet-hat/to/RAthe lawוְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofקְשִׁיke/SHIthe hardnessלִבָּםlib/BAMof their heartsכִּי־לֹאki-lofor notהֵבִינוּhe/VI/nuthey understoodכִּי־לֹאki-lothat notיוּכַלyu/KHALcanאָדָםa/DAMmanלְהִוָּשֵׁעַle/hiv/va/SHE/abe savedבִּלְתִּיbil/TIexceptבִּגְאֻלַּתbig/ul/LATthrough the redemptionאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMof God

    And now, did they understand the law? I say unto you, Nay, they did not all understand the law; and this because of the hardness of their hearts; for they understood not that there could not any man be saved except it were through the redemption of God.

33. 33

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהֲלֹאha/LOdid notנִבָּאnib/BAprophesyמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesלָהֶםla/HEMunto themעַל־בּוֹאal-boof the comingהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achof the Messiahוְכִיve/KHIand thatיִגְאַלyig/ALwould redeemאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־עַמּוֹet-am/MOHis peopleהֵןhenyeaוְגַםve/GAMand evenכׇּל־הַנְּבִיאִיםkol-han/ne/vi/IMall the prophetsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנִבְּאוּnib/be/Uprophesiedמֵאָזme/AZsinceהוּסְדָהhus/DAwas foundedתֵּבֵלte/VELthe worldהֲלֹאha/LOhave they notדִבְּרוּdib/be/RUspokenמְעַטme/ATsomewhatאוֹoorהַרְבֵּהhar/BEmuchעַל־הַדְּבָרִיםal-had/de/va/RIMconcerning the thingsהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/EL/lethese

    For behold, did not Moses prophesy unto them concerning the coming of the Messiah, and that God should redeem his people? Yea, and even all the prophets who have prophesied ever since the world began—have they not spoken more or less concerning these things?

34. 34

    הֲלֹאha/LOhave they notאָמְרוּa/me/RUsaidכִּיkithatיֵרֵדye/REDwould come downאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodהוּאhuHimselfבֵּיןbenamongבְּנֵי־הָאָדָםbe/NE-ha/a/DAMthe children of menוְיִלְבַּשׁve/yil/BASHand shall take upon Himצוּרַתtsu/RATthe formאָדָםa/DAMof manוְיֵלֵךְve/ye/LEKHand shall go forthבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achwith powerגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsof the earth

    Have they not said that God himself should come down among the children of men, and take upon him the form of man, and go forth in mighty power upon the face of the earth?

35. 35

    הֲלֹאha/LOhave they notגַם־אָמְרוּgam-a/me/RUalso saidכִּיkithatיָבִיאya/VIHe would bringתְחִיַּתte/chiy/YATthe resurrectionהַמֵּתִיםham/me/TIMof the deadוְכִיve/KHIand thatהוּאhuHe Himselfיִנָּגֵשׂyin/na/GESshould be oppressedוְיֵעָנֶה׃ve/ye/a/NEand afflicted

    Yea, and have they not said also that he should bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, and that he, himself, should be oppressed and afflicted?
