   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאֲדַבֵּרa/dab/BERI speakעַל־הַטְּבִילָהal-hat/te/vi/LAconcerning baptismהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdזְקֵנִיםze/ke/NIMeldersוְכֹהֲנִיםve/kho/ha/NIMand priestsוּמוֹרִיםu/mo/RIMand teachersנִטְבְּלוּnit/be/LUwere baptizedוְלֹאve/LOand notנִטְבְּלוּnit/be/LUbaptizedעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERsaveהֵבִיאוּhe/VI/uthey brought forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitנָכוֹןna/KHONmeetכִּיkithatנְכוֹנִיםne/kho/NIMworthyהֵםhemthey areלָהּ׃laof it

   And now I speak concerning baptism. Behold, elders, priests, and teachers were baptized; and they were not baptized save they brought forth fruit meet that they were worthy of it.

   וְגַםve/GAMand alsoלֹאlonotקִבְּלוּkib/be/LUdid they receiveאִישׁishanyלַטְּבִילָהlat/te/vi/LAunto baptismעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERsaveבָּאוּBA/uthey cameבְּלֵב־נִשְׁבָּרbe/LEV-nish/BARwith a broken heartוְרוּחַve/RU/achand a spiritנִדְכָּהnid/KAcontriteוַיָּעִידוּvay/ya/I/duand they witnessedלַקָּהָלlak/ka/HALunto the churchכִּיkithatשָׁבוּSHA/vuthey repentedבֶּאֱמֶתbe/e/METtrulyמִכׇּלmik/KOLof allחַטֹּאתֵיהֶם׃chat/to/te/HEMtheir sins

   Neither did they receive any unto baptism save they came forth with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, and witnessed unto the church that they truly repented of all their sins.

   וְלֹאve/LOand noneקִבְּלוּkib/be/LUdid they receiveאִישׁishanyלַטְּבִילָהlat/te/vi/LAunto baptismעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERsaveנָשְׂאוּna/se/Uthey tookעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themאֶת־שֵׁםet-shemthe nameהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achof Christבַּהֲכִינָםba/ha/khi/NAMhaving a determinationלְעׇבְדוֹle/ov/DOto serve Himעַד־הַקֵּץ׃ad-hak/KETSuntil the end

   And none were received unto baptism save they took upon them the name of Christ, having a determination to serve him to the end.

   And after they had been received unto baptism, and were wrought upon and cleansed by the power of the Holy Ghost, they were numbered among the people of the church of Christ; and their names were taken, that they might be remembered and nourished by the good word of God, to keep them in the right way, to keep them continually watchful unto prayer, relying alone upon the merits of Christ, who was the author and the finisher of their faith.

   וְהַקָּהָלve/hak/ka/HALand the churchנִקְהֲלוּnik/ha/LUmetיַחַדYA/chadtogetherפְּעָמִיםpe/a/MIMat timesרַבּוֹתrab/BOTfrequentלָצוּםla/TSUMto fastוּלְהִתְפַּלֵּלu/le/hit/pal/LELand to prayוּלְדַבֵּרu/le/dab/BERand to speakאִישׁishoneאֶל־רֵעֵהוּel-re/E/huwith anotherעַל־טוֹבal-tovconcerning the welfareנַפְשׁוֹתָם׃naf/sho/TAMof their souls

   And the church did meet together oft, to fast and to pray, and to speak one with another concerning the welfare of their souls.

   וַיִּקָּהֲלוּvay/yik/ka/ha/LUand they metיַחַדYA/chadtogetherפְּעָמִיםpe/a/MIMat timesרַבּוֹתrab/BOTfrequentלֶאֱכֹלle/e/KHOLto partakeלֶחֶםLE/chemof breadוָיַיִןva/YA/yinand wineלְזִכְרוֹןle/zikh/RONin remembranceהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONof the Lordיֵשׁוּעַ׃Ye/SHU/aJesus

   And they did meet together oft to partake of bread and wine, in remembrance of the Lord Jesus.

   וַיִּשְׁמְרוּvay/yish/me/RUand they observedמְאֹדme/ODstrictlyפֶּןpenthat notיִהְיֶהyih/YEthere beעָוֹןa/VONiniquityבְּתוֹכָםbe/to/KHAMamong themוּמִיu/MIand whosoאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנִמְצָאnim/TSAwas foundעֹשֶׂהo/SEcommittingעָוֹןa/VONiniquityוּשְׁלֹשָׁהu/she/lo/SHAand threeעֵדִיםe/DIMwitnessesמִן־הַקָּהָלmin-hak/ka/HALof the churchהִרְשִׁיעוּהוּhir/shi/u/HUcondemned himלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהַזְּקֵנִיםhaz/ze/ke/NIMthe eldersוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loand if notשָׁבוּSHA/vuthey repentedוְלֹאve/LOand notהִתְוַדּוּhit/vad/DUconfessedנִמְחוּnim/CHUwere blotted outשְׁמוֹתָםshe/mo/TAMtheir namesוְלֹאve/LOand notנִמְנוּnim/NUwere numberedבְּעַםbe/AMamong the peopleהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achof Christ

   And they were strict to observe that there should be no iniquity among them; and whoso was found to commit iniquity, and three witnesses of the church did condemn them before the elders, and if they repented not, and confessed not, their names were blotted out, and they were not numbered among the people of Christ.

   But as oft as they repented and sought forgiveness, with real intent, they were forgiven.

   וַיְנַהֲלוּvay/na/ha/LUand they conductedאֶת־אֲסֵפוֹתֵיהֶםet-a/se/fo/te/HEMtheir meetingsבַּקָּהָלbak/ka/HALby the churchכְּפִיke/FIaccording toמַעֲשֵׂיma/a/SEthe workingsהָרוּחַha/RU/achof the Spiritוּבְכֹחַu/ve/KHO/achand by the powerרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁRU/ach-Hak/KO/deshof the Holy Ghostכִּיkiforכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasהוֹבִילָםho/vi/LAMled themכֹּחַKO/achthe powerרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁRU/ach-Hak/KO/deshof the Holy Ghostאִםimwhetherלִדְרֹשׁlid/ROSHto preachאוֹoorלְהַזְהִירle/haz/HIRto exhortאוֹoorלְהִתְפַּלֵּלle/hit/pal/LELto prayאוֹoorלְהִתְחַנֵּןle/hit/chan/NENto supplicateאוֹoorלְזַמֵּרle/zam/MERto singכֵּןkeneven soנַעֲשָׂה׃na/a/SAit was done

   And their meetings were conducted by the church after the manner of the workings of the Spirit, and by the power of the Holy Ghost; for as the power of the Holy Ghost led them whether to preach, or to exhort, or to pray, or to supplicate, or to sing, even so it was done.
