   וַיּוֹסֶףvay/YO/sefand did moreשְׁמוּאֵלShe/mu/ELSamuelהַלָּמָנִיhal/LA/ma/nithe Lamaniteלְהִתְנַבֵּאle/hit/nab/BEto prophesyדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsרַבִּיםrab/BIMa great manyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־יוּכְלוּlo-yukh/LUthey cannotלְהִכָּתֵב׃le/hik/ka/TEVbe written

   And now it came to pass that Samuel, the Lamanite, did prophesy a great many more things which cannot be written.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֶתֵּןet/TENI giveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouאוֹתota signכִּי־עוֹדki-odfor moreחָמֵשׁcha/MESHfiveשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsתָּבֹאנָהta/VO/nacomesוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאַחֲרֵיהֶןa/cha/re/HENthenיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeבֶּן־אֱלֹהִיםben-E/lo/HIMthe Son of Godלִגְאֹלlig/OLto redeemאֶת־כׇּל־הַמַּאֲמִינִיםet-kol-ham/ma/a/mi/NIMall those who shall believeבִּשְׁמוֹ׃bish/MOon his name

   And behold, he said unto them: Behold, I give unto you a sign; for five years more cometh, and behold, then cometh the Son of God to redeem all those who shall believe on his name.

   וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdזֶהzethisהָאוֹתha/OTthe signאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֶתֵּןet/TENwill I giveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouבְּעֵתbe/ETat the timeבּוֹאוֹbo/Oof his comingכִּיkiforיִהְיוּyih/YUthere shall beאוֹרוֹתo/ROTlightsגְּדוֹלִיםge/do/LIMgreatבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin heavenעַד־כִּיad-kiinsomuch thatבַּלַּיְלָהbal/LAY/lain the nightלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeבּוֹאוֹbo/Ohis comingלֹא־יֶחְשַׁךְlo-yech/SHAKHthere shall be no darknessוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEto the eyesבְּנֵי־הָאָדָםbe/NE-ha/a/DAMof the children of menכְּיוֹם׃ke/YOMas day

   And behold, this will I give unto you for a sign at the time of his coming; for behold, there shall be great lights in heaven, insomuch that in the night before he cometh there shall be no darkness, insomuch that it shall appear unto man as if it was day.

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand there shall beיוֹםyoma dayוָלַיְלָהva/LAY/laand a nightוְיוֹםve/YOMand a dayכְּיוֹםke/YOMas if it were dayאֶחָדe/CHADoneכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERas ifאֵיןenthere were noלַיְלָהLAY/lanightוְזֶהve/ZEand thisלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youהָאוֹתha/OTfor a signכִּיkiforתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou shall knowאֶת־זְרֹחַet-ze/RO/achof the risingהַשֶּׁמֶשׁhash/SHE/meshof the sunוְגַםve/GAMand alsoאֶת־בּוֹאוֹet-bo/Oof its settingוְיָדֹעַve/ya/DO/aof a suretyיֵדְעוּyed/Uthey shall knowכִּיkithatיוֹמַיִםyo/MA/yimtwo daysוְלַיְלָהve/LAY/laand a nightהֵםhemthey areאַךְakhneverthelessהַלַּיְלָהhal/LAY/lathe nightלֹא־יֶחְשַׁךְlo-yech/SHAKHshall not be darkenedוְהוּאve/HUand it shall beהַלַּיְלָהhal/LAY/lathe nightלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהִוָּלְדוֹ׃hiv/va/le/DOhe is born

   Therefore, there shall be one day and a night and a day, as if it were one day and there were no night; and this shall be unto you for a sign; for ye shall know of the rising of the sun and also of its setting; therefore they shall know of a surety that there shall be two days and a night; nevertheless the night shall not be darkened; and it shall be the night before he is born.

   וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdיֵרָאֶהye/ra/Ethere shall appearכּוֹכָבko/KHAVa starחָדָשׁcha/DASHnewאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאlonotרְאִיתֶםre/i/TEMyou beheldכָּמוֹהוּka/mo/HUsuch an oneמֵעוֹלָםme/o/LAMeverוְגַם־זֶהve/GAM-zeand this alsoיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלְאוֹת׃le/OTa sign

   And behold, there shall a new star arise, such an one as ye never have beheld; and this also shall be a sign unto you.

   וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdלֹאlonotזֶהzethisבִּלְבָדbil/VADis allכִּיkiforיִהְיוּyih/YUthere shall beאֹתוֹתo/TOTsignsוּמוֹפְתִיםu/mof/TIMand wondersרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyבַּשָּׁמָיִם׃bash/sha/MA/yimin heaven

   And behold this is not all, there shall be many signs and wonders in heaven.

7. 7

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beכִּיkithatתִשְׁתּוֹמְמוּtish/tom/MUyou shall be amazedכֻלְּכֶםkhul/le/KHEMallוְתִתְמְהוּve/tit/me/HUand wonderעַד־כִּיad-kiinsomuch thatתִפְּלוּtip/pe/LUyou shall fallאָרְצָה׃AR/tsato the earth

   And it shall come to pass that ye shall all be amazed, and wonder, insomuch that ye shall fall to the earth.

8. 8

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beכׇּל־הַמַּאֲמִיןkol-ham/ma/a/MINwhosoever shall believeבְּבֶן־אֱלֹהִיםbe/VEN-e/lo/HIMon the Son of Godיִחְיֶהyich/YEthe same shall liveחַיֵּיchay/YElifeעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeverlasting

   And it shall come to pass that whosoever shall believe on the Son of God, the same shall have everlasting life.

   וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdכֹהkhothusצִוַּנִיtsiv/VA/nicommanded meיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiבְּיַדbe/YADby the handמַלְאָכוֹmal/a/KHOof his angelלָבוֹאla/VOthat I should comeוּלְהַגִּידu/le/hag/GIDand tellלָכֶםla/KHEMyouאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe thingהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdצִוַּנִיtsiv/VA/nihe commanded meלְהִתְנַבֵּאle/hit/nab/BEthat I should prophesyאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMunto youאַףafyeaאָמַרa/MARhe saidאֵלַיe/LAYunto meקְרָאke/RAcryאֶל־הָעָםel-ha/AMunto the peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisשׁוּבוּSHU/vurepentוּפַנּוּu/fan/NUand prepareדֶּרֶךְDE/rekhthe wayיְהוָה׃Adonaiof Adonai

   And behold, thus hath the Lord commanded me, by his angel, that I should come and tell this thing unto you; yea, he hath commanded that I should prophesy these things unto you; yea, he hath said unto me: Cry unto this people, repent and prepare the way of the Lord.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowיַעַןYA/anbecauseכִּיkithatלָמָנִיLA/Ma/nia Lamaniteאֲנִיa/NII amוָאֲדַבֵּרva/a/dab/BERand spokeאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMunto youאֶת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe wordsיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichצִוָּנִיtsiv/VA/nicommanded meוּבַעֲבוּרu/va/a/VURand becauseכִּיkiof thatקָשִׁיםka/SHIMhardהָיוּha/YUit wasעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMagainst youתִּכְעֲסוּtikh/a/SUyou are angryעָלַיa/LAYwith meוּתְבַקְשׁוּu/te/vak/SHUand seekלְהַשְׁמִידֵנִיle/hash/mi/de/NIto destroy meוַתְּגָרְשׁוּנִיvat/te/ga/re/SHU/niand cast me outמִתּוֹכְכֶם׃mit/tokh/KHEMfrom among you

    And now, because I am a Lamanite, and have spoken unto you the words which the Lord hath commanded me, and because it was hard against you, ye are angry with me and do seek to destroy me, and have cast me out from among you.

11. 11

    וּשְׁמַעְתֶּםu/she/ma/TEMand you shall hearאֶת־דְּבָרַיet-de/va/RAYmy wordsכִּיkiforעַל־כֵּןal-kenfor this intentעָלִיתִיa/LI/tihave I come upעַל־חוֹמַתal-cho/MATupon the wallsהָעִירha/IRof the cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתִּשְׁמְעוּtish/me/Uyou might hearוְתֵדְעוּve/ted/Uand knowאֶת־מִשְׁפְּטֵיet-mish/pe/TEthe judgmentsאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godהָעֹמְדִיםha/om/DIMwhich do awaitעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMyouבַּעֲוֹנֹתֵיכֶםba/a/vo/no/te/KHEMbecause of your iniquitiesוְגַםve/GAMand alsoלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou might knowאֶת־חֻקֵּיet-chuk/KEthe conditionsהַתְּשׁוּבָה׃hat/te/shu/VAof repentance

    And ye shall hear my words, for, for this intent have I come up upon the walls of this city, that ye might hear and know of the judgments of God which do await you because of your iniquities, and also that ye might know the conditions of repentance;

12. 12

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou might knowאֶת־בּוֹאet-bothe comingיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aof JesusהַמָּשִׁיחַHam/ma/SHI/achChristבֶּן־אֱלֹהִיםben-E/lo/HIMthe Son of GodאֲבִיA/VIthe Fatherהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimof heavenוְהָאָרֶץve/ha/A/retsand of earthיוֹצֵרYo/TSERthe Creatorהַכֹּלhak/KOLof all thingsמֵרֵאשִׁיתme/re/SHITfrom the beginningוּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand thatתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou might knowאֶת־אֹתוֹתet-o/TOTthe signsבּוֹאוֹbo/Oof his comingלְמַעַןle/MA/anto the intent thatתַּאֲמִינוּta/a/MI/nuyou might believeבִּשְׁמוֹ׃bish/MOon his name

    And also that ye might know of the coming of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and of earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning; and that ye might know of the signs of his coming, to the intent that ye might believe on his name.

13. 13

    וְאִם־תַּאֲמִינוּve/IM-ta/a/MI/nuand if you believeבִּשְׁמוֹbish/MOon his nameתָּשׁוּבוּta/SHU/vuyou will repentמִכׇּל־חַטֹּאתֵיכֶםmik/KOL-chat/to/te/KHEMof all your sinsוּבָזֶהu/va/ZEthat therebyיְכֻפְּרוּye/khup/pe/RUthey may be remittedלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youבְּצִדְקָתוֹ׃be/tsid/ka/TOthrough his merits

    And if ye believe on his name ye will repent of all your sins, that thereby ye may have a remission of them through his merits.

14. 14

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdעוֹדodagainאוֹתota signאַחֵרa/CHERanotherאֶתֵּןet/TENI giveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouאַףafyeaאוֹתota signמוֹתוֹ׃mo/TOof his death

    And behold, again, another sign I give unto you, yea, a sign of his death.

15. 15

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdמוֹתmotsurelyיָמוּתya/MUThe must dieלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתָּבֹאta/VOmay comeהַיְשׁוּעָהhay/shu/Asalvationאַףafyeaעָלָיוa/LAYVit behooves himוְנָכוֹןve/na/KHONand becomes expedientכִּיkithatיָמוּתya/MUThe diesלְהָבִיאle/ha/VIto bring to passתְּקוּמַתte/ku/MATthe resurrectionהַמֵּתִיםham/me/TIMof the deadלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיוּבְאוּyuv/Umay be broughtבְּנֵי־הָאָדָםbe/NE-ha/a/DAMmenלִפְנֵיlif/NEinto the presenceיְהוָה׃Adonaiof Adonai

    For behold, he surely must die that salvation may come; yea, it behooveth him and becometh expedient that he dieth, to bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, that thereby men may be brought into the presence of the Lord.

    אַףafyeaהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַמָּוֶתham/MA/vetthe deathהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisיָבִיאya/VIbrings to passאֶת־הַתְּקוּמָהet-hat/te/ku/MAthe resurrectionוְיִגְאַלve/yig/ALand redeemsאֶת־כׇּל־בְּנֵיet-kol-be/NEall the childrenהָאָדָםha/a/DAMof menמִן־הַמָּוֶתmin-ham/MA/vetfrom the deathהָרִאשׁוֹןha/ri/SHONfirstהוּאhuthatמוֹתmotthe deathהָרוּחַha/RU/achof the spiritכִּיkiforכׇל־בְּנֵיkhol-be/NEall the childrenהָאָדָםha/a/DAMof menבִּנְפֹלbin/FOLby the fallאָדָםA/DAMof Adamנִכְרְתוּnikh/re/TUbeing cut offמִלִּפְנֵיmil/lif/NEfrom the presenceיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiוַיֵּחָשְׁבוּvay/ye/cha/she/VUare consideredכַּמֵּתִיםkam/me/TIMas deadגַּםgambothבְּדִבְרֵיbe/div/REas to thingsהַגְּוִיָּהhag/ge/viy/YAtemporalגַּםgamandבְּדִבְרֵיbe/div/REto thingsהָרוּחַ׃ha/RU/achspiritual

    Yea, behold, this death bringeth to pass the resurrection, and redeemeth all mankind from the first death—that spiritual death; for all mankind, by the fall of Adam being cut off from the presence of the Lord, are considered as dead, both as to things temporal and to things spiritual.

    אַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdתְּקוּמַתte/ku/MATthe resurrectionהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achof Christתִּגְאַלtig/ALredeemsאֶת־בְּנֵיet-be/NEthe childrenהָאָדָםha/a/DAMof menאַףafyeaאֶת־כׇּל־בְּנֵיet-kol-be/NEeven all the childrenהָאָדָםha/a/DAMof menוּתְשִׁיבֵםu/te/shi/VEMand brings them backלִפְנֵיlif/NEinto the presenceיְהוָה׃Adonaiof Adonai

    But behold, the resurrection of Christ redeemeth mankind, yea, even all mankind, and bringeth them back into the presence of the Lord.

18. 18

    וְגַםve/GAMyea andתָּבִיאta/VIit brings to passאֶת־חֹקet-chokthe conditionהַתְּשׁוּבָהhat/te/shu/VAof repentanceכִּיkithatכׇּל־הַשָּׁבkol-hash/SHAVwhosoever repentsלֹא־יִכָּרֵתlo-yik/ka/RETthe same is not hewn downוְלֹאve/LOand notיֻשְׁלַךְyush/LAKHcastלָאֵשׁla/ESHinto the fireאַךְakhbutכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרkol-a/SHERwhosoeverלֹא־יָשׁוּבlo-ya/SHUVrepents notיִכָּרֵתyik/ka/RETis hewn downוְיֻשְׁלַךְve/yush/LAKHand castלָאֵשׁla/ESHinto the fireוּבָאu/VAand there comesעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainמוֹתmotthe deathהָרוּחַha/RU/achof the spiritהוּאhuit isהַמָּוֶתham/MA/vetthe deathהַשֵּׁנִיhash/she/NIthe secondכִּיkiforיִכָּרְתוּyik/ka/re/TUthey are cut offשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainמִדִּבְרֵיmid/div/REas to things pertaining toהַצֶּדֶק׃hats/TSE/dekrighteousness

    Yea, and it bringeth to pass the condition of repentance, that whosoever repenteth the same is not hewn down and cast into the fire; but whosoever repenteth not is hewn down and cast into the fire; and there cometh upon them again a spiritual death, yea, a second death, for they are cut off again as to things pertaining to righteousness.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeשׁוּבוּSHU/vurepentשׁוּבוּSHU/vurepentפֶּןpenlestבְּדַעְתְּכֶםbe/da/te/KHEMby knowingאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוּבְלֹאu/ve/LOand notעֲשׂוֹתָםa/so/TAMdoing themתָּבִיאוּta/VI/uyou shall bringעַל־נַפְשְׁכֶםal-naf/she/KHEMupon yourselvesאָשָׁםa/SHAMcondemnationוְתוּרְדוּve/tur/DUand you are brought downאֶל־הַמָּוֶתel-ham/MA/vetunto the deathהַשֵּׁנִיhash/she/NIsecondהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Therefore repent ye, repent ye, lest by knowing these things and not doing them ye shall suffer yourselves to come under condemnation, and ye are brought down unto this second death.

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youעַל־אוֹתal-otconcerning a signאַחֵרa/CHERanotherאוֹתota signמוֹתוֹmo/TOof his deathהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִסְבֹּלyis/BOLhe shall sufferמָוֶתMA/vetdeathיֶחְשַׁךְyech/SHAKHshall be darkenedהַשֶּׁמֶשׁhash/SHE/meshthe sunוְיִמְנַעve/yim/NAand refuse to giveאוֹרוֹo/ROhis lightמִכֶּםmik/KEMfrom youוְגַםve/GAMand alsoהַיָּרֵחַhay/ya/RE/achthe moonוְהַכּוֹכָבִיםve/hak/ko/kha/VIMand the starsוְלֹא־יִהְיֶהve/LO-yih/YEand there shall be noאוֹרorlightעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the landהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלְמִן־הָעֵתle/MIN-ha/ETeven from the timeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִסְבֹּלyis/BOLhe shall sufferמָוֶתMA/vetdeathשְׁלֹשֶׁתshe/LO/shetfor the space of threeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysעַד־עֵתad-etto the time thatקוּמוֹku/MOhe shall rise againמִן־הַמֵּתִים׃min-ham/me/TIMfrom the dead

    But behold, as I said unto you concerning another sign, a sign of his death, behold, in that day that he shall suffer death the sun shall be darkened and refuse to give his light unto you; and also the moon and the stars; and there shall be no light upon the face of this land, even from the time that he shall suffer death, for the space of three days, to the time that he shall rise again from the dead.

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beבְּעֵתbe/ETat the timeצֵאתtsetthat he shall yield upנַפְשׁוֹnaf/SHOhis ghostוְהָיוּve/ha/YUthere shall beקוֹלוֹתko/LOTthunderingsוּבְרָקִיםu/ve/ra/KIMand lightningsשָׁעוֹתsha/OThoursרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyוְתִרְעַשׁve/tir/ASHand shall shakeוְתִרְעַדve/tir/ADand trembleהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthוְהַצּוּרִיםve/hats/tsu/RIMand the rocksאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the landהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichמֵעַלme/ALaboveהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthוּמִתַּחַתu/mit/TA/chatand beneathאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיְדַעְתֶּםye/da/TEMyou knowכַּיּוֹםkay/YOMat this timeכִּיkithatחֲזָקִיםcha/za/KIMsolidהֵמָּהHEM/maareאוֹoorרֻבָּםrub/BAMthe more part of itגּוּשׁgusha solid massאֶחָדe/CHADoneיִבָּקֵעוּ׃yib/ba/ke/Ushall be broken up

    Yea, at the time that he shall yield up the ghost there shall be thunderings and lightnings for the space of many hours, and the earth shall shake and tremble; and the rocks which are upon the face of this earth, which are both above the earth and beneath, which ye know at this time are solid, or the more part of it is one solid mass, shall be broken up;

22. 22

    הֵןhenyeaיִבָּקְעוּyib/ba/ke/Uthey shall be rentלִשְׁנַיִםlish/NA/yimin twainוְיִמָּצְאוּve/yim/ma/tse/Uand they shall be foundמֵאָזme/AZeverוָהָלְאָהva/HAL/aafterבִּנְקִיקִיםbin/ki/KIMin seamsוּבְקִיעִיםu/ve/ki/IMand in cracksוּשְׁבָרִיםu/she/va/RIMand in broken fragmentsעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceכׇל־הָאָרֶץkhol-ha/A/retsof the whole earthגַּםgambothמֵעַלme/ALaboveהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthוְגַםve/GAMandמִתַּחַת׃mit/TA/chatbeneath

    Yea, they shall be rent in twain, and shall ever after be found in seams and in cracks, and in broken fragments upon the face of the whole earth, yea, both above the earth and beneath.

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdיִהְיוּyih/YUthere shall beסְעָרוֹתse/a/ROTtempestsגְּדוֹלוֹתge/do/LOTgreatוְהָרִיםve/ha/RIMand mountainsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyיֻשְׁפְּלוּyush/pe/LUlaid lowכַּבִּקְעָהkab/bik/Alike unto a valleyוּמְקוֹמוֹתu/me/ko/MOTand placesרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyהַנִּקְרָאִיםhan/nik/ra/IMwhich are calledכַּיּוֹםkay/YOMnowבְּקָעוֹתbe/ka/OTvalleysיִהְיוּyih/YUwhich shall becomeלְהָרִיםle/ha/RIMmountainsגְּבֹהִיםge/vo/HIMhighמְאֹד׃me/ODexceedingly

    And behold, there shall be great tempests, and there shall be many mountains laid low, like unto a valley, and there shall be many places which are now called valleys which shall become mountains, whose height is great.

24. 24

    וּמְסִלּוֹתu/me/sil/LOTand highwaysרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyתִּשָּׁבַרְנָהtish/sha/VAR/nashall be broken upוְעָרִיםve/a/RIMand citiesרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyתִּהְיֶינָהtih/YE/nashall becomeלִשְׁמָמָה׃lish/ma/MAdesolate

    And many highways shall be broken up, and many cities shall become desolate.

25. 25

    וּקְבָרִיםu/ke/va/RIMand gravesרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyיִפָּתְחוּyip/pa/te/CHUshall be openedוְיַעֲלוּve/ya/a/LUand shall yield upרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyמִמֵּתֵיהֶםmim/me/te/HEMof their deadוּקְדוֹשִׁיםu/ke/do/SHIMand saintsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyיֵרָאוּye/ra/Ushall appearלְרַבִּים׃le/rab/BIMto many

    And many graves shall be opened, and shall yield up many of their dead; and many saints shall appear unto many.

26. 26

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdכֹהkhothusדִּבֶּרdib/BERspokeאֵלַיe/LAYunto meהַמַּלְאָךְham/mal/AKHthe angelכִּיkiforאָמַרa/MARhe saidאֵלַיe/LAYunto meאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִהְיוּyih/YUthere should beקוֹלוֹתko/LOTthunderingsוּבְרָקִיםu/ve/ra/KIMand lightningsשָׁעוֹתsha/OThoursרַבּוֹת׃rab/BOTmany

    And behold, thus hath the angel spoken unto me; for he said unto me that there should be thunderings and lightnings for the space of many hours.

27. 27

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלַיe/LAYunto meכִּיkithatבְּעוֹדbe/ODwhileהַקּוֹלוֹתhak/ko/LOTthe thunderוְהַבְּרָקִיםve/hab/be/ra/KIMand the lightningוְהַסְּעָרָהve/has/se/a/RAand the tempestיִהְיוּyih/YUshould beהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוְחֹשֶׁךְve/CHO/shekhand that darknessיְכַסֶּהye/khas/SEshould coverאֶת־פְּנֵיet-pe/NEthe faceכׇל־הָאָרֶץkhol-ha/A/retsof the whole earthשְׁלֹשֶׁתshe/LO/shetfor the space of threeיָמִים׃ya/MIMdays

    And he said unto me that while the thunder and the lightning lasted, and the tempest, that these things should be, and that darkness should cover the face of the whole earth for the space of three days.

28. 28

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלַיe/LAYunto meהַמַּלְאָךְham/mal/AKHthe angelכִּי־רַבִּיםki-rab/BIMthat manyיִרְאוּyir/Ushall seeדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsגְּדוֹלִיםge/do/LIMgreaterמֵאֵלֶּהme/EL/lethan theseלְמַעַןle/MA/anto the intent thatיַאֲמִינוּya/a/MI/nuthey might believeכִּיkithatהָאֹתוֹתha/o/TOTthe signsוְהַמּוֹפְתִיםve/ham/mof/TIMand the wondersהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseיִהְיוּyih/YUshould beעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceכׇל־הָאָרֶץkhol-ha/A/retsof all the landהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלְמַעַןle/MA/anto the intent thatלֹא־תִהְיֶהlo-tih/YEthere should be noסִבָּהsib/BAcauseלְמַעַלle/MA/alfor unbeliefבִּבְנֵיbiv/NEamong the childrenהָאָדָם׃ha/a/DAMof men

    And the angel said unto me that many shall see greater things than these, to the intent that they might believe that these signs and these wonders should come to pass upon all the face of this land, to the intent that there should be no cause for unbelief among the children of men—

29. 29

    וְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatכׇּל־הֶחָפֵץkol-he/cha/FETSwhosoever willלְהַאֲמִיןle/ha/a/MINbelieveיִוָּשַׁעyiv/va/SHAmight be savedוְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרve/KHOL-a/SHERand that whosoeverלֹא־יַאֲמִיןlo-ya/a/MINwill not believeיָבוֹאya/VOmight comeעָלָיוa/LAYVupon themמִשְׁפַּט־צֶדֶקmish/PAT-TSE/deka righteous judgmentוְאִםve/IMand ifיֶאְשְׁמוּye/she/MUthey are condemnedיָבִיאוּya/VI/uthey bringעַל־נַפְשָׁםal-naf/SHAMupon themselvesאֶת־אַשְׁמָתָם׃et-ash/ma/TAMtheir own condemnation

    And this to the intent that whosoever will believe might be saved, and that whosoever will not believe, a righteous judgment might come upon them; and also if they are condemned they bring upon themselves their own condemnation.

30. 30

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowזִכְרוּzikh/RUrememberזִכְרוּzikh/RUrememberאַחַיa/CHAYmy brethrenכִּיkithatכׇל־הָאֹבֵדkhol-ha/o/VEDwhosoever perishesאֹבֵדo/VEDperishesלְנַפְשׁוֹle/naf/SHOunto himselfוְכׇל־הָעֹשֶׂהve/KHOL-ha/o/SEand whosoever doesעָוֹןa/VONiniquityעֹשֶׂהo/SEdoes itלְנַפְשׁוֹle/naf/SHOunto himselfכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdחׇפְשִׁיםchof/SHIMfreeאַתֶּםat/TEMyou areנִתַּןnit/TANit is permittedלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלִפְעֹלlif/OLto actלְנַפְשְׁכֶםle/naf/she/KHEMfor yourselvesכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdנָתַןna/TANgaveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodדַּעַתDA/ata knowledgeוַיַּעַשְׂכֶםvay/ya/as/KHEMand he made youחׇפְשִׁים׃chof/SHIMfree

    And now remember, remember, my brethren, that whosoever perisheth, perisheth unto himself; and whosoever doeth iniquity, doeth it unto himself; for behold, ye are free; ye are permitted to act for yourselves; for behold, God hath given unto you a knowledge and he hath made you free.

31. 31

    נָתַןna/TANhe gaveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouלָדַעַתla/DA/atthat you might knowטוֹבtovgoodמֵרָעme/RAfrom evilוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand he gaveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouלִבְחֹרliv/CHORthat you might chooseבַּחַיִּיםba/chay/YIMlifeאוֹoorבַמָּוֶתvam/MA/vetdeathוְתוּכְלוּve/tukh/LUand you canלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTdoהַטּוֹבhat/TOVgoodוְתוּשְׁבוּve/tush/VUand be restoredאֶל־הַטּוֹבel-hat/TOVunto that which is goodאוֹoorיוּשַׁבYU/shavrestoredלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youהַטּוֹבhat/TOVthat which is goodאוֹoorתַעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou can doהָרָעha/RAevilוְיוּשַׁבve/YU/shavand restoredלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youהָרָע׃ha/RAthat which is evil

    He hath given unto you that ye might know good from evil, and he hath given unto you that ye might choose life or death; and ye can do good and be restored unto that which is good, or have that which is good restored unto you; or ye can do evil, and have that which is evil restored unto you.
