   בְּנִיbe/NImy sonהַטֵּהhat/TEinclineאׇזְנְךָoz/ne/KHAyour earלִדְבָרָיlid/va/RAYto my wordsכִּיkiforנִשְׁבַּעnish/BAswearאֲנִיa/NIIלְךָle/KHAunto youכִּיkithatכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERinasmuch asתִּשְׁמֹרtish/MORyou shall keepאֶת־מִצְוֹתet-mits/VOTthe commandmentsאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godתַּצְלִיחַtats/LI/achyou shall prosperבָּאָרֶץ׃ba/A/retsin the land

   My son, give ear to my words; for I swear unto you, that inasmuch as ye shall keep the commandments of God ye shall prosper in the land.

   וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iמְבַקֵּשׁme/vak/KESHwouldכִּיkithatתַעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou should doכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI didבְּזׇכְרִיbe/zokh/RIin rememberingאֶת־שְׁבִיet-she/VIthe captivityאֲבוֹתֵינוּa/vo/TE/nuof our fathersכִּיkiforהָיוּha/YUthey wereבְּעַבְדוּתbe/av/DUTin bondageוְאֵיןve/ENand there was noמוֹשִׁיעַmo/SHI/adelivererלָהֶםla/HEMfor themכִּי־אִםki-imsave it wasאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe GodאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMof Abrahamוֵאלֹהֵיve/lo/HEand the GodיִצְחָקYits/CHAKof Isaacוֵאלֹהֵיve/lo/HEand the GodיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVof Jacobוְהַצֵּלve/hats/TSELand surelyהִצִּילָםhits/tsi/LAMhe delivered themמִצָּרָתָם׃mits/tsa/ra/TAMin their afflictions

   I would that ye should do as I have done, in remembering the captivity of our fathers; for they were in bondage, and none could deliver them except it was the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; and he surely did deliver them in their afflictions.

   And now, O my son Helaman, behold, thou art in thy youth, and therefore, I beseech of thee that thou wilt hear my words and learn of me; for I do know that whosoever shall put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall be lifted up at the last day.

   וְאַלve/ALand do notתַּחְשֹׁבtach/SHOVsupposeכִּיkithatיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowמִנַּפְשִׁיmin/naf/SHIof myselfלֹאlonotמִן־הָעוֹלָםmin-ha/o/LAMof the worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisכִּי־אִםki-imbutמִןminofהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe spiritלֹאlonotמִלֵּבmil/LEVof the heartהַבָּשָׂרhab/ba/SARof the fleshכִּי־אִםki-imbutמֵאֱלֹהִים׃me/e/lo/HIMof God

   And I would not that ye think that I know of myself—not of the temporal but of the spiritual, not of the carnal mind but of God.

   וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEnow beholdאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלְךָle/KHAunto youלוּלֵאlu/LEif notנוֹלַדְתִּיno/lad/TII had been bornלֵאלֹהִיםle/lo/HIMof Godלֹא־יָדַעְתִּיlo-ya/DA/tiI should not knewאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאַךְakhbutהוֹדִיעַho/DI/amade knownלִיliunto meאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodבְּפִיbe/FIby the mouthמַלְאָכוֹmal/a/KHOof his angelהַקָּדוֹשׁhak/ka/DOSHholyוְלֹאve/LOand notבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofצִדְקָתִי׃tsid/ka/TImy righteousness

   Now, behold, I say unto you, if I had not been born of God I should not have known these things; but God has, by the mouth of his holy angel, made these things known unto me, not of any worthiness of myself;

   כִּיkiforהָלַכְתִּיha/LAKH/tiI went aboutעִם־בְּנֵיim-be/NEwith the sonsמוֹשִׁיָּהMo/SHIY/yaof Mosiahלְהַשְׁחִיתle/hash/CHITto destroyאֶת־עֲדַתet-a/DATthe churchאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEbut beholdשָׁלַחsha/LACHsentאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־מַלְאָכוֹet-mal/a/KHOhis angelהַקָּדוֹשׁhak/ka/DOSHholyלַעֲצֹרla/a/TSORto stopאֹתָנוּo/TA/nuusבַּדָּרֶךְ׃bad/DA/rekhby the way

   For I went about with the sons of Mosiah, seeking to destroy the church of God; but behold, God sent his holy angel to stop us by the way.

   וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdדִּבֶּרdib/BERhe spokeאֵלֵינוּe/LE/nuunto usכְּקוֹלke/KOLas the voiceרַעַםRA/amof thunderוַתִּרְעַשׁvat/tir/ASHand trembledכׇּלkolthe wholeהָאָרֶץha/A/retsearthתַּחַתTA/chatbeneathרַגְלֵינוּrag/LE/nuour feetוַנִּפֹּלvan/nip/POLand we fellכֻּלָּנוּkul/LA/nuall of usאַרְצָהAR/tsato the earthכִּיkiforנָפְלָהna/fe/LAfellעָלֵינוּa/LE/nuupon usאֵימַתE/matthe fearיְהוָה׃Adonaiof Adonai

   And behold, he spake unto us, as it were the voice of thunder, and the whole earth did tremble beneath our feet; and we all fell to the earth, for the fear of the Lord came upon us.

   וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEbut beholdאָמַרa/MARsaidהַקּוֹלhak/KOLthe voiceאֵלַיe/LAYunto meקוּםkumariseוָאָקוּםva/a/KUMand I aroseוָאֶעֱמֹדva/e/e/MODand stood upוָאֵרֶאva/E/reand beheldאֶת־הַמַּלְאָךְ׃et-ham/mal/AKHthe angel

   But behold, the voice said unto me: Arise. And I arose and stood up, and beheld the angel.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֵלַיe/LAYunto meאִםimifתַּחְפֹּץtach/POTSyou desireלְהַשְׁחִיתle/hash/CHITto destroyאֶת־נַפְשְׁךָet-naf/she/KHAyourselfאַל־תּוֹסֶףal-TO/sefdo not any moreלְבַקֵּשׁle/vak/KESHseekלְהַשְׁחִיתle/hash/CHITto destroyאֶת־עֲדַתet-a/DATthe churchאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMof God

   And he said unto me: If thou wilt of thyself be destroyed, seek no more to destroy the church of God.

    וָאֶפֹּלva/ep/POLand I fellאַרְצָהAR/tsato the earthוַיְהִיvay/HIand it wasשְׁלֹשָׁהshe/lo/SHAthreeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysוּשְׁלֹשָׁהu/she/lo/SHAand threeלֵילוֹתle/LOTnightsלֹא־יָכֹלְתִּיlo-ya/KHOL/tiI could notלִפְתֹּחַlif/TO/achopenאֶת־פִּיet-pimy mouthוְלֹא־הָיָהve/LO-HA/yaneither was thereלִיliunto meכֹחַKHO/achstrengthבְּאֵבָרָי׃be/e/va/RAYin my limbs

    And it came to pass that I fell to the earth; and it was for the space of three days and three nights that I could not open my mouth, neither had I the use of my limbs.

    וַיּוֹסֶףvay/YO/sefand againהַמַּלְאָךְham/mal/AKHthe angelלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERspokeאֵלַיe/LAYunto meדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMwordsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Uheardאַחַיa/CHAYmy brethrenוַאֲנִיva/a/NIbut Iלֹאlonotשָׁמַעְתִּיםsha/ma/TIMdid I hear themכִּיkiforבְּשׇׁמְעִיbe/shom/Iwhen I heardאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsאִםimifתַּחְפֹּץtach/POTSyou desireלְהַשְׁחִיתle/hash/CHITto destroyאֶת־נַפְשְׁךָet-naf/she/KHAyourselfאַל־תּוֹסֶףal-TO/sefdo not any moreלְבַקֵּשׁle/vak/KESHseekלְהַשְׁחִיתle/hash/CHITto destroyאֶת־עֲדַתet-a/DATthe churchאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godהֻכֵּיתִיhuk/KE/tiI was struckבְּפַחַדbe/FA/chadwith fearוּבְתִמָּהוֹןu/ve/tim/ma/HONand amazementגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatפֶּןpenlestאֶשָּׁמֵדesh/sha/MEDI should be destroyedוָאֶפֹּלva/ep/POLand I fellאַרְצָהAR/tsato the earthוְלֹאve/LOand notשָׁמַעְתִּיsha/MA/tiI heardעוֹד׃odany more

    And the angel spake more things unto me, which were heard by my brethren, but I did not hear them; for when I heard the words—If thou wilt be destroyed of thyself, seek no more to destroy the church of God—I was struck with such great fear and amazement lest perhaps I should be destroyed, that I fell to the earth and I did hear no more.

    וַיְעַנּוּנִיvay/an/nu/NIand I was racked withעִנּוּיֵיin/nu/YEtormentעוֹלָםo/LAMeternalכִּיkiforנֶחֶרְשָׁהne/cher/SHAwas harrowed upנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulעַד־מְאֹדad-me/ODexceedinglyוְנֶעֶכְרָהve/ne/ekh/RAand rackedבְּכׇלbe/KHOLwith allחַטֹּאתָי׃chat/to/TAYmy sins

    But I was racked with eternal torment, for my soul was harrowed up to the greatest degree and racked with all my sins.

    הֵןhenyeaזָכַרְתִּיza/KHAR/tiI rememberedאֶת־כׇּלet-kolallחַטֹּאתַיchat/to/TAYmy sinsוַעֲוֹנוֹתַיva/a/vo/no/TAYand iniquitiesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבַּעֲבוּרָםba/a/vu/RAMbecause of themעֻנֵּיתִיun/NE/tiI was tormentedבְּחֶבְלֵיbe/chev/LEwith the painsשְׁאוֹלshe/OLof hellהֵןhenyeaוָאֵרֶאva/E/reI sawכִּיkithatמָרַדְתִּיma/rad/TII rebelledבֵאלֹהַיve/lo/HAYagainst my Godוְלֹאve/LOand notשָׁמַרְתִּיsha/MAR/tiI keptאֶת־מִצְוֹתָיוet-mits/vo/TAYVhis commandmentsהַקְּדוֹשׁוֹת׃hak/ke/do/SHOTholy

    Yea, I did remember all my sins and iniquities, for which I was tormented with the pains of hell; yea, I saw that I had rebelled against my God, and that I had not kept his holy commandments.

    הֵןhenyeaהָרַגְתִּיha/RAG/tiI murderedרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyמִבָּנָיוmib/ba/NAYVof his childrenאוֹoorיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreנָכוֹןna/KHONrightlyהוֹבַלְתִּיםho/val/TIMled them awayלַשַּׁחַתlash/SHA/chatunto destructionאַףafyeaגָּדְלוּga/de/LUwere greatעֲוֹנוֹתַיa/vo/no/TAYmy iniquitiesעַד־מְאֹדad-me/ODso exceedinglyוּבְחׇשְׁבִיu/ve/chosh/VIand in my thinkingלָבוֹאla/VOto comeלִפְנֵיlif/NEinto the presenceאֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYof my Godנֶעֶכְרָהne/ekh/RArackedנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulבְּאֵימָהbe/e/MAwith horrorאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאlonotתִסָּפֵר׃tis/sa/FERcould be told

    Yea, and I had murdered many of his children, or rather led them away unto destruction; yea, and in fine so great had been my iniquities, that the very thought of coming into the presence of my God did rack my soul with inexpressible horror.

    הוֹיhoyohאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tisaid Iמִי־יִתֵּןmi-yit/TENO thatוְאֶנָּדֶהve/en/na/DEand I would be banishedוְאֶכָּחֵדve/ek/ka/CHEDand become extinctגַּםgambothנֶפֶשׁNE/feshsoulגַּםgamandגוּףgufbodyלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIthat I might notאוּבָאu/VAbe broughtלַעֲמֹדla/a/MODto standלִפְנֵיlif/NEin the presenceאֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYof my Godלְהִשָּׁפֵטle/hish/sha/FETto be judgedעַלalofמַעֲשָׂי׃ma/a/SAYmy deeds

    Oh, thought I, that I could be banished and become extinct both soul and body, that I might not be brought to stand in the presence of my God, to be judged of my deeds.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowשְׁלֹשָׁהshe/lo/SHAthreeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysוּשְׁלֹשָׁהu/she/lo/SHAand threeלֵילוֹתle/LOTnightsנֶעְכַּרְתִּיne/kar/TIwas I rackedבְּחֶבְלֵיbe/chev/LEwith the painsנֶפֶשׁNE/feshof a soulנִדַּחַת׃nid/DA/chatdamned

    And now, for three days and for three nights was I racked, even with the pains of a damned soul.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedבְּעוֹדִיbe/o/DIas I wasמְעֻנֶּהme/un/NErackedבְּעִנּוּיִיםbe/in/nu/YIMwith tormentוְנֶחֱרָשׁve/ne/che/RASHand harrowed upבְּזִכְרוֹןbe/zikh/RONby the memoryחַטֹּאתַיchat/to/TAYof my sinsהָרַבּוֹתha/rab/BOTmanyוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEbeholdזָכַרְתִּיza/KHAR/tiI rememberedגַםgamalsoאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthatשָׁמַעְתִּיsha/MA/tiI heardאָבִיa/VImy fatherמִתְנַבֵּאmit/nab/BEprophesyאֶל־הָעָםel-ha/AMunto the peopleעַל־בּוֹאal-boconcerning the comingיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aof JesusהַמָּשִׁיחַHam/ma/SHI/achChristבֶּן־אֱלֹהִיםben-E/lo/HIMa Son of Godלְכַפֵּרle/khap/PERto atoneעַל־חַטֹּאתal-chat/TOTfor the sinsהָעוֹלָם׃ha/o/LAMof the world

    And it came to pass that as I was thus racked with torment, while I was harrowed up by the memory of my many sins, behold, I remembered also to have heard my father prophesy unto the people concerning the coming of one Jesus Christ, a Son of God, to atone for the sins of the world.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאָחֲזָהa/cha/ZAcaught holdמַחֲשַׁבְתִּיma/cha/shav/TImy mindבַּדָּבָרbad/da/VARupon the thoughtהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוָאֶזְעַקva/ez/AKI criedבְּלִבִּיbe/lib/BIwithin my heartהוֹיhoyOיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusבֶּן־אֱלֹהִיםben-E/lo/HIMSon of Godחׇנֵּנִיchon/NE/nihave mercy on meאֲנִיa/NIIאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho amבִּמְרוֹרַתbim/ro/RATin the gallרוֹשׁroshof bitternessאֲנִיa/NIIוּמֻקָּףu/muk/KAFand am encircled aboutבְּכַבְלֵיbe/khav/LEby the chainsמָוֶתMA/vetof deathעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeverlasting

    Now, as my mind caught hold upon this thought, I cried within my heart: O Jesus, thou Son of God, have mercy on me, who am in the gall of bitterness, and am encircled about by the everlasting chains of death.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבְּחׇשְׁבִיbe/chosh/VIwhen I thoughtזֹאתzotthisלֹאlonotזָכַרְתִּיza/KHAR/tidid I rememberעוֹדodany moreאֶת־מַכְאוֹבַיet-makh/o/VAYmy painsאַףafyeaלֹאlonotנֶחֱרַשְׁתִּיne/che/rash/TII was harrowed upעוֹדodany moreבְּזִכְרוֹןbe/zikh/RONby the memoryחַטֹּאתָי׃chat/to/TAYof my sins

    And now, behold, when I thought this, I could remember my pains no more; yea, I was harrowed up by the memory of my sins no more.

20. 20

    וְהוֹיve/HOYand ohמֶהmewhatשִׂמְחָהsim/CHAjoyוּמֶהu/MEand whatאוֹרorlightנִפְלָאnif/LAmarvelousרָאִיתִיra/I/tidid I beholdאַףafyeaמָלְאָהma/le/Awas filledנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulשִׂמְחָהsim/CHAwith joyגְּדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasגָּדַלga/DALwas greatמַכְאוֹבִי׃makh/o/VImy pain

    And oh, what joy, and what marvelous light I did behold; yea, my soul was filled with joy as exceeding as was my pain!

    הֵןhenyeaאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלְךָle/KHAunto youבְּנִיbe/NImy sonכִּיkithatאֵין־דָּבָרen-da/VARthere could be nothingחַדchadexquisiteוּמַרu/MARand bitterכְּמַכְאוֹבָיke/makh/o/VAYas were my painsהֵןhenyeaוְשֵׁנִיתve/she/NITand againאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלְךָle/KHAunto youבְּנִיbe/NImy sonכִּיkithatמִנֶּגֶדmin/NE/gedon the other handאֵין־דָּבָרen-da/VARthere can be nothingחַדchadexquisiteוּמָתוֹקu/ma/TOKand sweetכְּשִׂמְחָתִי׃ke/sim/cha/TIas was my joy

    Yea, I say unto you, my son, that there could be nothing so exquisite and so bitter as were my pains. Yea, and again I say unto you, my son, that on the other hand, there can be nothing so exquisite and sweet as was my joy.

    Yea, methought I saw, even as our father Lehi saw, God sitting upon his throne, surrounded with numberless concourses of angels, in the attitude of singing and praising their God; yea, and my soul did long to be there.

23. 23

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEbut beholdשָׁבוּSHA/vureturnedאֵבָרַיe/va/RAYmy limbsלְאֵיתָנָםle/e/ta/NAMto their strengthוָאָקוּםva/a/KUMand I stoodעַלaluponרַגְלַיrag/LAYmy feetוָאַגִּדva/ag/GIDand manifestedלָעָםla/AMunto the peopleכִּיkithatנוֹלַדְתִּיno/lad/TII had been bornלֵאלֹהִים׃le/lo/HIMof God

    But behold, my limbs did receive their strength again, and I stood upon my feet, and did manifest unto the people that I had been born of God.

    Yea, and from that time even until now, I have labored without ceasing, that I might bring souls unto repentance; that I might bring them to taste of the exceeding joy of which I did taste; that they might also be born of God, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

    Yea, and now behold, O my son, the Lord doth give me exceedingly great joy in the fruit of my labors;

26. 26

    כִּיkiforבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנִתַּןnit/TANwas givenלִיlimeהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdנוֹלְדוּnol/DUhave been bornרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyלֵאלֹהִיםle/lo/HIMof Godוַיִּטְעֲמוּvay/yit/a/MUand tastedכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasטָעַמְתִּיta/AM/tiI tastedוַיִּרְאוּvay/yir/Uand sawעַיִןA/yineyeבְּעַיִןbe/A/yinto eyeכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasרָאִיתִיra/I/tiI sawלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeיָדְעוּya/de/Uthey knowאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowוְדַעְתִּיve/da/TIand my knowledgeמֵאֱלֹהִיםme/e/lo/HIMof Godהִיא׃hiis

    For because of the word which he has imparted unto me, behold, many have been born of God, and have tasted as I have tasted, and have seen eye to eye as I have seen; therefore they do know of these things of which I have spoken, as I do know; and the knowledge which I have is of God.

27. 27

    וְנִסְמַכְתִּיve/nis/MAKH/tiand I have been supportedבְּכׇלbe/KHOLin everyנִסָּיוֹןnis/sa/YONtrialוְצָרָהve/tsa/RAand troubleאַףafyeaבְּכׇלbe/KHOLin allמִינֵיmi/NEmannerעֳנִיo/NIof afflictionאַףafyeaאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodהִצִּילֵנִיhits/tsi/le/NIdelivered meמִבֵּיתmib/BETfromהַכֶּלֶאhak/KE/leprisonוּמִכְּבָלִיםu/mik/ke/va/LIMand from bondsוּמִמָּוֶתu/mim/MA/vetand from deathהֵןhenyeaוָאָשִׂיםva/a/SIMand I putבּוֹboin himמִבְטַחִיmiv/ta/CHImy trustוְעוֹדve/ODand stillיַצִּילֵנִי׃yats/tsi/LE/nihe will deliver me

    And I have been supported under trials and troubles of every kind, yea, and in all manner of afflictions; yea, God has delivered me from prison, and from bonds, and from death; yea, and I do put my trust in him, and he will still deliver me.

28. 28

    וְיָדַעְתִּיve/ya/DA/tiand I knowכִּיkithatיְקִימֵנִיye/ki/me/NIhe will raise me upבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMat the dayהָאַחֲרוֹןha/a/cha/RONthe lastלָשֶׁבֶתla/SHE/vetto dwellעִמּוֹim/MOwith himבְּכָבוֹדbe/kha/VODin gloryהֵןhenyeaוַאֲהַלְלֶנּוּva/a/hal/LEN/nuand I will praise himלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverכִּיkiforהוֹצִיאho/TSIhe broughtאֶת־אֲבוֹתֵינוּet-a/vo/TE/nuour fathersמִמִּצְרַיִםmim/Mits/RA/yimout of Egyptוַיְבַלַּעvay/val/LAand swallowed upאֶת־הַמִּצְרִיםet-Ham/mits/RIMthe Egyptiansבְּיַםbe/YAMin the SeaסוּףSufRedוַיַּנְחֵםvay/yan/CHEMand he led themבִּגְבוּרָתוֹbig/vu/ra/TOby his powerאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsinto the landהַהַבְטָחָהha/hav/ta/CHAof promiseהֵןhenyeaהִצִּילָםhits/tsi/LAMhe delivered themמֵעַבְדוּתme/av/DUTout of bondageוּמִשְּׁבִיu/mish/she/VIand captivityמִפַּעַםmip/PA/amfrom timeלְפָעַם׃le/fa/AMto time

    And I know that he will raise me up at the last day, to dwell with him in glory; yea, and I will praise him forever, for he has brought our fathers out of Egypt, and he has swallowed up the Egyptians in the Red Sea; and he led them by his power into the promised land; yea, and he has delivered them out of bondage and captivity from time to time.

29. 29

    הֵןhenyeaוְגַםve/GAMand alsoהוֹצִיאho/TSIhe broughtאֶת־אֲבוֹתֵינוּet-a/vo/TE/nuour fathersמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsout of the landיְרוּשָׁלַיִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimof Jerusalemוְגַםve/GAMand alsoבִּגְבוּרַתbig/vu/RATby the powerעוֹלָםo/LAMeverlastingהִצִּילָםhits/tsi/LAMhe delivered themמֵעַבְדוּתme/av/DUTout of bondageוּמִשְּׁבִיu/mish/she/VIand captivityמִפַּעַםmip/PA/amfrom timeלְפָעַםle/fa/AMto timeעַד־הַיּוֹםad-hay/YOMeven to the dayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוָאֶזְכֹּרva/ez/KORand I rememberedתָּמִידta/MIDalwaysאֶת־שִׁבְיָםet-shiv/YAMtheir captivityהֵןhenyeaוְגַםve/GAMand alsoאַתָּהat/TAyouתִּזְכֹּרtiz/KORshould rememberכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI didאֶת־שִׁבְיָם׃et-shiv/YAMtheir captivity

    Yea, and he has also brought our fathers out of the land of Jerusalem; and he has also, by his everlasting power, delivered them out of bondage and captivity, from time to time even down to the present day; and I have always retained in remembrance their captivity; yea, and ye also ought to retain in remembrance, as I have done, their captivity.

30. 30

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEbut beholdבְּנִיbe/NImy sonאֵיןennotזֹאתzotthis isהַכֹּלhak/KOLallכִּיkiforעָלֶיךָa/LE/khayou oughtלָדַעַתla/DA/atto knowכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowכִּיkithatכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERinasmuch asתִּשְׁמֹרtish/MORyou shall keepאֶת־מִצְוֹתet-mits/VOTthe commandmentsאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godתַּצְלִיחַtats/LI/achyou shall prosperבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landוְגַםve/GAMand alsoעָלֶיךָa/LE/khayou oughtלָדַעַתla/DA/atto knowכִּיkithatכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERinasmuch asלֹאlonotתִשְׁמֹרtish/MORyou will keepאֶת־מִצְוֹתet-mits/VOTthe commandmentsאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godתִּכָּרֵתtik/ka/RETyou shall be cut offמִלְּפָנָיוmil/le/fa/NAYVfrom his presenceוְזֶהve/ZEand this isכִּדְבָרוֹ׃kid/va/ROaccording to his word

    But behold, my son, this is not all; for ye ought to know as I do know, that inasmuch as ye shall keep the commandments of God ye shall prosper in the land; and ye ought to know also, that inasmuch as ye will not keep the commandments of God ye shall be cut off from his presence. Now this is according to his word.
