   And again, my brethren, I would cite your minds forward to the time when the Lord God gave these commandments unto his children; and I would that ye should remember that the Lord God ordained priests, after his holy order, which was after the order of his Son, to teach these things unto the people.

   וְהַכֹּהֲנִיםve/hak/ko/ha/NIMand the priestsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseהׇעׇמְדוּho/om/DUwere ordainedעַל־דִּבְרָתִיal-div/ra/TIafter the orderבְּנוֹbe/NOof His Sonבְּדֶרֶךְbe/DE/rekhin a mannerאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבָּהּbatherebyיֵדְעוּyed/Umight knowהָעָםha/AMthe peopleלְהַבִּיטle/hab/BITto look forwardאֶל־בְּנוֹel-Be/NOunto His Sonלִגְאֻלָּה׃lig/ul/LAfor redemption

   And those priests were ordained after the order of his Son, in a manner that thereby the people might know in what manner to look forward to his Son for redemption.

   And this is the manner after which they were ordained—being called and prepared from the foundation of the world according to the foreknowledge of God, on account of their exceeding faith and good works; in the first place being left to choose good or evil; therefore they having chosen good, and exercising exceedingly great faith, are called with a holy calling, yea, with that holy calling which was prepared with, and according to, a preparatory redemption for such.

   And thus they have been called to this holy calling on account of their faith, while others would reject the Spirit of God on account of the hardness of their hearts and blindness of their minds, while, if it had not been for this they might have had as great privilege as their brethren.

   Or in fine, in the first place they were on the same standing with their brethren; thus this holy calling being prepared from the foundation of the world for such as would not harden their hearts, being in and through the atonement of the Only Begotten Son, who was prepared—

   וַיִּקָּרְאוּvay/yik/ka/re/Uand being calledבִּקְרִיאַתbik/ri/ATwith the callingהַקֹּדֶשׁhak/KO/deshof holyהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוַיׇּעׇמְדוּvay/yo/om/DUand ordainedלַכְּהֻנָּהlak/ke/hun/NAunto the priesthoodהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAthe highעַל־פִּיal-piaccording toדִּבְרַתdiv/RATthe orderאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godהַקְּדוֹשָׁהhak/ke/do/SHAthe holyלְהוֹרֹתle/ho/ROTto teachמִצְוֹתָיוmits/vo/TAYVHis commandmentsלִבְנֵי־הָאָדָםliv/NE-ha/a/DAMunto the children of menלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיָבֹאוּya/VO/umight enterגַם־הֵםgam-hemthey alsoאֶל־מְנוּחָתוֹ׃el-me/nu/cha/TOinto His rest

   And thus being called by this holy calling, and ordained unto the high priesthood of the holy order of God, to teach his commandments unto the children of men, that they also might enter into his rest—

   וְהַכְּהֻנָּהve/hak/ke/hun/NAand the priesthoodהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAthe highהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisעַל־דִּבְרָתִיal-div/ra/TIbeing after the orderבְּנוֹbe/NOof His Sonאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהַדִּבְרָהhad/div/RAorderהָיְתָהha/ye/TAwasמִמּוֹסְדוֹתmim/mos/DOTfrom the foundationהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMof the worldאוֹoorבִדְבָרִיםvid/va/RIMin wordsאֲחֵרִיםa/che/RIMotherבְּלִיbe/LIwithoutרֵאשִׁיתre/SHITbeginningיָמִיםya/MIMof daysוְקֵץve/KETSor endשָׁנִיםsha/NIMof yearsמוּכָנָהmu/kha/NAbeing preparedמֵעוֹלָםme/o/LAMfrom eternityוְעַד־עוֹלָםve/AD-o/LAMto all eternityכְּדַעַתke/DA/atas to the knowledgeאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godמֵרֹאשׁme/ROSHfrom the beginningאֶת־כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִים׃et-kol-had/de/va/RIMof all things

   This high priesthood being after the order of his Son, which order was from the foundation of the world; or in other words, being without beginning of days or end of years, being prepared from eternity to all eternity, according to his foreknowledge of all things—

   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהׇעׇמְדוּho/om/DUthey were ordainedכַּדֶּרֶךְkad/DE/rekhafter the mannerהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisנִקְרְאוּnik/re/Ubeing calledבִּקְרִיאַתbik/ri/ATwith a callingקֹדֶשׁKO/deshof holyוְהׇעׇמְדוּve/ho/om/DUand ordainedבְּחֻקַּתbe/chuk/KATwith an ordinanceקֹדֶשׁKO/deshholyוַיִּשְׂאוּvay/yis/Uand takingעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themאֶת־הַכְּהֻנָּהet-hak/ke/hun/NAthe priesthoodהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAthe highלַדִּבְרָהlad/div/RAof the orderהַקְּדוֹשָׁהhak/ke/do/SHAthe holyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהַקְּרִיאָהhak/ke/ri/Acallingוְהַחֹקve/ha/CHOKand ordinanceוְהַכְּהֻנָּהve/hak/ke/hun/NAand the priesthoodהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAthe highבְּלִיbe/LIis withoutרֵאשִׁיתre/SHITbeginningוְקֵץ׃ve/KETSor end

   Now they were ordained after this manner—being called with a holy calling, and ordained with a holy ordinance, and taking upon them the high priesthood of the holy order, which calling, and ordinance, and high priesthood, is without beginning or end—

   וַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand thus they becomeלְכֹהֲנִיםle/kho/ha/NIMpriestsגְּדוֹלִיםge/do/LIMhighלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverעַל־דִּבְרָתִיal-div/ra/TIafter the orderהַבֵּןhab/BENof the Sonהַיָּחִידhay/Ya/CHIDthe Only Begottenלָאָבla/AVof the Fatherאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho isבְּלִיbe/LIwithoutרֵאשִׁיתre/SHITbeginningיָמִיםya/MIMof daysוְקֵץve/KETSor endשָׁנִיםsha/NIMof yearsהַמָּלֵאham/ma/LEbeing fullחֵןchenof graceוָצֶדֶקva/TSE/dekand equityוֶאֱמֶתve/e/METand truthוְכֵןve/KHENand thusהוּאhuit isאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

   Thus they become high priests forever, after the order of the Son, the Only Begotten of the Father, who is without beginning of days or end of years, who is full of grace, equity, and truth. And thus it is. Amen.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI saidעַל־דִּבְרַתal-div/RATconcerning the orderהַקֹּדֶשׁhak/KO/deshof holyאוֹoorהַכְּהֻנָּהhak/ke/hun/NAthe priesthoodהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAthe highהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyהׇעׇמְדוּho/om/DUwere ordainedוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand becameלְכֹהֲנִיםle/kho/ha/NIMpriestsגְּדוֹלִיםge/do/LIMhighלֵאלֹהִיםle/lo/HIMof Godוַיְהִיvay/HIand it wasבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURon account ofאֱמוּנָתָםe/mu/na/TAMtheir faithהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAexceedingוּתְשׁוּבָתָםu/te/shu/va/TAMand repentanceוְצִדְקָתָםve/tsid/ka/TAMand their righteousnessלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodבְּבׇחֳרָםbe/vo/cho/RAMthey choosingלָשׁוּבla/SHUVto repentוְלַעֲשׂוֹתve/la/a/SOTand workצְדָקָהtse/da/KArighteousnessמִלֶּאֱבֹד׃mil/le/e/VODrather than to perish

    Now, as I said concerning the holy order, or this high priesthood, there were many who were ordained and became high priests of God; and it was on account of their exceeding faith and repentance, and their righteousness before God, they choosing to repent and work righteousness rather than to perish;

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeנִקְרְאוּnik/re/Uthey were calledעַל־פִּיal-piafterהַדִּבְרָהhad/div/RAthe orderהַקְּדוֹשָׁהhak/ke/do/SHAthe holyהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוַיִּתְקַדְּשׁוּvay/yit/kad/de/SHUand were sanctifiedוַיִּלְבְּנוּvay/yil/be/NUand were washed whiteבִגְדֵיהֶםvig/de/HEMtheir garmentsבְּדַםbe/DAMthrough the bloodהַשֶּׂה׃has/SEof the Lamb

    Therefore they were called after this holy order, and were sanctified, and their garments were washed white through the blood of the Lamb.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהִתְקַדְּשָׁםhit/kad/de/SHAMbeing sanctifiedבְּרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁbe/RU/ach-hak/KO/deshby the Holy Ghostוְהׇלְבְּנוּve/hol/be/NUhaving been made whiteבִגְדֵיהֶםvig/de/HEMtheir garmentsבִּהְיוֹתָםbih/yo/TAMbeingטְהוֹרִיםte/ho/RIMpureוּתְמִימִיםu/te/mi/MIMand spotlessלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלֹא־יָכְלוּlo-ya/khe/LUthey could notלִרְאוֹתlir/OTlook uponחַטָּאתchat/TATsinבִּלְתִּיbil/TIsave it wereבְתוֹעֵבָהve/to/e/VAwith abhorrenceוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand there wereרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyאַף־רַבִּיםaf-rab/BIMyea manyמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatטָהֲרוּta/ha/RUwere made pureוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand enteredאֶל־מְנוּחַתel-me/nu/CHATinto the restיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiאֱלֹהֵיהֶם׃e/lo/he/HEMtheir God

    Now they, after being sanctified by the Holy Ghost, having their garments made white, being pure and spotless before God, could not look upon sin save it were with abhorrence; and there were many, exceedingly great many, who were made pure and entered into the rest of the Lord their God.

13. 13

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאַחַיa/CHAYmy brethrenחָפַצְתִּיcha/FATS/tiI wouldכִּיkithatתִכָּנְעוּtik/ka/ne/Ushould humble yourselvesלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוְתָבִיאוּve/ta/VI/uand bring forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitרָאוּיra/UYmeetלַתְּשׁוּבָהlat/te/shu/VAfor repentanceלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתָּבֹאוּta/VO/uyou may enterגַם־אַתֶּםgam-at/TEMyou alsoאֶל־הַמְּנוּחָהel-ham/me/nu/CHAinto the restהַהִיא׃ha/HIthat

    And now, my brethren, I would that ye should humble yourselves before God, and bring forth fruit meet for repentance, that ye may also enter into that rest.

14. 14

    הֵןhenyeaהִכָּנְעוּhik/ka/ne/Uhumble yourselvesכָּעָםka/AMeven as the peopleבִּימֵיbi/MEin the daysמַלְכִּי־צֶדֶקmal/KI-TSE/dekof Melchizedekאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהָיָהha/YAwasגַם־הוּאgam-hualsoכֹּהֵןko/HENa priestגָּדוֹלga/DOLhighעַל־פִּיal-piafterהַדִּבְרָהhad/div/RAthe same orderהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whichדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI spokeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoגַם־הוּאgam-hualsoנָשָׂאna/SAtookעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himאֶת־הַכְּהֻנָּהet-hak/ke/hun/NAthe priesthoodהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAthe highלְעוֹלָם׃le/o/LAMforever

    Yea, humble yourselves even as the people in the days of Melchizedek, who was also a high priest after this same order which I have spoken, who also took upon him the high priesthood forever.

15. 15

    וְהוּאve/HUand it wasמַלְכִּי־צֶדֶקMal/KI-TSE/dekMelchizedekהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthis sameאֲשֶׁרa/SHERunto whomנָתַן־לוֹna/TAN-lopaidאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamמַעֲשֵׂרma/a/SERtithesאַףafyeaאָבִינוּa/VI/nuour fatherאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamנָתַןna/TANpaidמַעֲשֵׂרma/a/SERa tenthמִכֹּלmik/KOLof allאֲשֶׁר־לוֹ׃a/SHER-lothat he possessed

    And it was this same Melchizedek to whom Abraham paid tithes; yea, even our father Abraham paid tithes of one-tenth part of all he possessed.

    וְהַחֻקּוֹתve/ha/chuk/KOTnow the ordinancesהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseנִתְּנוּnit/te/NUwere givenבַּדֶּרֶךְbad/DE/rekhafter the mannerהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלְמַעַןle/MA/anthat therebyיַבִּיטוּyab/BI/tumight look forwardהָעָםha/AMthe peopleאֶל־בֶּן־אֱלֹהִיםel-Ben-e/lo/HIMon the Son of Godבִּהְיוֹתוֹbih/yo/TOit beingכִּדְמוּתkid/MUTa typeדִּבְרָתוֹdiv/ra/TOof His orderאוֹoorבִּהְיוֹתוֹbih/yo/TOit beingדִּבְרָתוֹdiv/ra/TOHis orderוְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיַבִּיטוּyab/BI/tuthey might look forwardאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto Himלִסְלִיחַתlis/li/CHATfor a remissionחַטֹּאתָםchat/to/TAMof their sinsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיָבֹאוּya/VO/uthey might enterאֶל־מְנוּחַתel-me/nu/CHATinto the restיְהוָה׃Adonaiof Adonai

    Now these ordinances were given after this manner, that thereby the people might look forward on the Son of God, it being a type of his order, or it being his order, and this that they might look forward to him for a remission of their sins, that they might enter into the rest of the Lord.

    וּמַלְכִּי־צֶדֶקu/Mal/KI-TSE/deknow Melchizedekהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisהָיָהha/YAwasמֶלֶךְME/lekha kingעַל־אֶרֶץal-E/retsover the landשָׁלֵםSha/LEMof Salemוְעַמּוֹve/am/MOand his peopleחָזְקוּcha/ze/KUwaxed strongבְּעָוֹןbe/a/VONin iniquityוְתוֹעֵבָהve/to/e/VAand abominationאַףafyeaכֻּלָּםkul/LAMthey allתָּעוּta/Uwent astrayוַיִּמָּלְאוּvay/yim/ma/le/Uthey were fullכׇל־רֶשַׁע׃khol-RE/shaof all manner of wickedness

    Now this Melchizedek was a king over the land of Salem; and his people had waxed strong in iniquity and abomination; yea, they had all gone astray; they were full of all manner of wickedness;

    But Melchizedek having exercised mighty faith, and received the office of the high priesthood according to the holy order of God, did preach repentance unto his people. And behold, they did repent; and Melchizedek did establish peace in the land in his days; therefore he was called the prince of peace, for he was the king of Salem; and he did reign under his father.

    Now, there were many before him, and also there were many afterwards, but none were greater; therefore, of him they have more particularly made mention.

20. 20

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאֵין־לִיen-liI need notלְהַרְבּוֹתle/har/BOTrehearseבַּדָּבָרbad/da/VARthe matterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhatדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI saidדַּיdaymay sufficeהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַכְּתוּבִיםhak/ke/tu/VIMthe scripturesלִפְנֵיכֶםlif/ne/KHEMare before youאִם־תְּעַוְּתוּim-te/av/ve/TUif you will wrestאוֹתָםo/TAMthemוְהָיָהve/ha/YAit shall beלְשַׁחֶתְכֶם׃le/sha/chet/KHEMto your own destruction

    Now I need not rehearse the matter; what I have said may suffice. Behold, the scriptures are before you; if ye will wrest them it shall be to your own destruction.

21. 21

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכְּכַלּוֹתke/khal/LOTwhen made an endאַלְמָאAL/maAlmaלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERof speakingאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themוַיִּפְרֹשׂvay/yif/ROSthat he stretched forthיָדוֹya/DOhis handאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand criedבְּקוֹלbe/KOLwith a voiceגָּדוֹלga/DOLmightyלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingעַתָּהat/TAnow isעֵתetthe timeלָשׁוּבla/SHUVto repentכִּיkiforקָרַבka/RAVdraws nighיוֹםyomthe dayהַיְשׁוּעָה׃hay/shu/Aof salvation

    And now it came to pass that when Alma had said these words unto them, he stretched forth his hand unto them and cried with a mighty voice, saying: Now is the time to repent, for the day of salvation draweth nigh;

    הֵןhenyeaוְקוֹלve/KOLand the voiceיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiבְּפִיbe/FIby the mouthמַלְאָכָיוmal/a/KHAYVof his angelsמַשְׁמִיעַmash/MI/adeclaresזֹאתzotitלְכׇל־הַגּוֹיִםle/KHOL-hag/go/YIMunto all nationsאַףafyeaמַשְׁמִיעַmash/MI/adeclaresלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיֶהyih/YEmay comeלָהֶםla/HEMunto themבְּשׂוֹרַתbe/so/RATglad tidingsשִׂמְחָהsim/CHAof joyגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatאַףafyeaמַשְׁמִיעַmash/MI/asoundsאֶת־הַבְּשׂוֹרָהet-hab/be/so/RAthe glad tidingsהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revamongכׇּל־עַמּוֹkol-am/MOall His peopleוְגַםve/GAMand alsoלַנְּפוֹצִיםlan/ne/fo/TSIMunto the scatteredעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAof the earthעַל־כֵּןal-kenwhereforeבָּאוּBA/uthey cameאֵלֵינוּ׃e/LE/nuunto us

    Yea, and the voice of the Lord, by the mouth of angels, doth declare it unto all nations; yea, doth declare it, that they may have glad tidings of great joy; yea, and he doth sound these glad tidings among all his people, yea, even to them that are scattered abroad upon the face of the earth; wherefore they have come unto us.

23. 23

    וַיִּוָּדְעוּvay/yiv/va/de/Uand they are made knownלָנוּLA/nuunto usבִּדְבָרִיםbid/va/RIMin termsנְכוֹחִיםne/kho/CHIMplainלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatנָבִיןna/VINwe may understandלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIthat we cannotנִשְׁגֶּהnish/GEerrוְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofהֱיוֹתֵנוּhe/yo/TE/nuour beingנוֹדְדִיםnod/DIMwanderersבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin a landנׇכְרִיָּהnokh/riy/YAstrangeעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeחֶסֶדCHE/sedfavorרַב־לָנוּrav-LA/nuis great unto usכִּיkiforהֻשְׁמְעָהhush/me/Aare soundedלָנוּLA/nuunto usהַבְּשׂוֹרָהhab/be/so/RAthe glad tidingsהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisבְּכׇל־חֶלְקֵיbe/KHOL-chel/KEin every partכַרְמֵנוּ׃khar/me/NUof our vineyard

    And they are made known unto us in plain terms, that we may understand, that we cannot err; and this because of our being wanderers in a strange land; therefore, we are thus highly favored, for we have these glad tidings declared unto us in all parts of our vineyard.

24. 24

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdמַלְאָכִיםmal/a/KHIMangelsמַשְׁמִיעִיםmash/mi/IMdeclareזֹאתzotitלְרַבִּיםle/rab/BIMunto manyבָּעֵתba/ETat the timeהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisבְּאַרְצֵנוּbe/ar/TSE/nuin our landוְזֹאתve/ZOTand this isלְהָכִיןle/ha/KHINfor the purpose of preparingאֶת־לְבַבet-le/VAVthe heartsבְּנֵי־הָאָדָםbe/NE-ha/a/DAMof the children of menלְקַבֵּלle/kab/BELto receiveאֶת־דְּבָרוֹet-de/va/ROHis wordבְּעֵתbe/ETat the timeבּוֹאוֹbo/Oof His comingבִּכְבוֹדוֹ׃bikh/vo/DOin His glory

    For behold, angels are declaring it unto many at this time in our land; and this is for the purpose of preparing the hearts of the children of men to receive his word at the time of his coming in his glory.

25. 25

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowרַקrakonlyמְחַכִּיםme/chak/KIMwaitאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/ato hearאֶת־בְּשׂוֹרַתet-be/so/RATthe tidingsהַגִּילָהhag/gi/LAof joyמִפִּיmip/PIby the mouthמַלְאָכִיםmal/a/KHIMof angelsעַל־בּוֹאוֹal-bo/Oof His comingכִּיkiforבוֹאvosurelyיָבוֹאya/VOcomesהַמּוֹעֵדham/mo/EDthe appointed timeלֹא־יָדַעְנוּlo-ya/DA/nuwe know notמָתָיma/TAYhow soonמִי־יִתֵּןmi-yit/TENO thatוְהָיָהve/ha/YAit might beבְיָמַיve/ya/MAYin my dayאַךְakhbutאִם־יִקְדַּםim-yik/DAMlet it be soonerאוֹoorיְאַחֵרye/a/CHERlaterבּוֹboin itאֶשְׂמָח׃es/MACHI will rejoice

    And now we only wait to hear the joyful news declared unto us by the mouth of angels, of his coming; for the time cometh, we know not how soon. Would to God that it might be in my day; but let it be sooner or later, in it I will rejoice.

26. 26

    וְנוֹדַעve/no/DAand it shall be made knownלַצַּדִּיקִיםlats/tsad/di/KIMunto justוְלַקְּדוֹשִׁיםve/lak/ke/do/SHIMand holyמִפִּיmip/PIby the mouthמַלְאָכִיםmal/a/KHIMof angelsבְּעֵתbe/ETat the timeבּוֹאוֹbo/Oof His comingלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִמָּלְאוּyim/ma/le/Umight be fulfilledדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe wordsאֲבוֹתֵינוּa/vo/TE/nuof our fathersכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERaccording asדִּבְּרוּdib/be/RUthey spokeעָלָיוa/LAYVconcerning Himכְּרוּחַke/RU/achaccording to the spiritהַנְּבוּאָהhan/ne/vu/Aof prophecyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבָּם׃bamwas in them

    And it shall be made known unto just and holy men, by the mouth of angels, at the time of his coming, that the words of our fathers may be fulfilled, according to that which they have spoken concerning him, which was according to the spirit of prophecy which was in them.

27. 27

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאַחַיa/CHAYmy brethrenחֶפְצִיchef/TSII wishמִקְּרַבmik/ke/RAVfrom the inmost partלִבִּיlib/BIof my heartאַףafyeaבִּדְאָגָהbid/a/GAwith anxietyגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatעַד־מַכְאוֹבad-makh/OVeven unto painכִּיkithatתַקְשִׁיבוּtak/shi/VUyou would hearkenלִדְבָרַיlid/va/RAYunto my wordsוְתַשְׁלִיכוּve/tash/li/KHUand cast offחַטֹּאתֵיכֶםchat/to/te/KHEMyour sinsוְאַל־תְּאַחֲרוּve/AL-te/a/cha/RUand not procrastinateאֶת־יוֹםet-yomthe dayתְּשׁוּבַתְכֶם׃te/shu/vat/KHEMof your repentance

    And now, my brethren, I wish from the inmost part of my heart, yea, with great anxiety even unto pain, that ye would hearken unto my words, and cast off your sins, and not procrastinate the day of your repentance;

28. 28

    כִּי־אִםki-imbutתִּכָּנְעוּtik/ka/ne/Uwill humble yourselvesלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiוְתִקְרְאוּve/tik/re/Uand callבִּשְׁמוֹbish/MOon His nameהַקָּדוֹשׁhak/ka/DOSHholyוְתִשְׁמְרוּve/tish/me/RUand watchוְתִתְפַּלְלוּve/tit/pal/LUand prayתָּמִידta/MIDcontinuallyלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹאlonotתְנֻסּוּte/nus/SUyou may be temptedיוֹתֵרyo/TERabove that whichמִכֹּחֲכֶםmik/ko/cha/KHEMyou can bearוְכֵןve/KHENand thusתוּבְלוּtuv/LUledבְּרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁbe/RU/ach-hak/KO/deshby the Holy Spiritוִהְיִיתֶםvih/yi/TEMbecomingעֲנָוִיםa/na/VIMhumbleוּשְׁפָלִיםu/she/fa/LIMmeekוְנִכְנָעִיםve/nikh/na/IMsubmissiveאֲרִיכֵיa/ri/KHEpatientרוּחַRU/achof spiritמְלֵאִיםme/le/IMfullאַהֲבָהa/ha/VAof loveוְכׇל־אֹרֶךְve/KHOL-O/rekhand all the long-sufferingאַפַּיִם׃ap/PA/yimof anger

    But that ye would humble yourselves before the Lord, and call on his holy name, and watch and pray continually, that ye may not be tempted above that which ye can bear, and thus be led by the Holy Spirit, becoming humble, meek, submissive, patient, full of love and all long-suffering;

29. 29

    בֹּטְחִיםbot/CHIMhaving faithבַּיהוָהba-Adonaion Adonaiמְיַחֲלִיםme/ya/cha/LIMhaving a hopeלְחַיֵּיle/chay/YEfor lifeעוֹלָםo/LAMeternalנֹשְׂאִיםnos/IMhavingאַהֲבַתa/ha/VATthe loveאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godתָּמִידta/MIDalwaysבִּלְבַבְכֶםbil/vav/KHEMin your heartsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתִּנָּשְׂאוּtin/na/se/Uyou may be lifted upבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMat the dayהָאַחֲרוֹןha/a/cha/RONthe lastוְתָבֹאוּve/ta/VO/uand enterאֶל־מְנוּחָתוֹ׃el-me/nu/cha/TOinto His rest

    Having faith on the Lord; having a hope that ye shall receive eternal life; having the love of God always in your hearts, that ye may be lifted up at the last day and enter into his rest.

30. 30

    וְיִתֵּןve/yit/TENand may grantלָכֶםla/KHEMyouיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiתְּשׁוּבָהte/shu/VArepentanceלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹא־תוֹרִידוּlo-to/ri/DUyou may not bring downחֲרוֹנוֹcha/ro/NOhis wrathעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMupon youלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹאlonotתֵאָסְרוּte/a/se/RUyou may be bound downבְּכַבְלֵיbe/khav/LEby the chainsשְׁאוֹלshe/OLof hellלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹאlonotתִסְבְּלוּtis/be/LUyou may sufferאֶת־הַמָּוֶתet-ham/MA/vetthe deathהַשֵּׁנִי׃hash/she/NIthe second

    And may the Lord grant unto you repentance, that ye may not bring down his wrath upon you, that ye may not be bound down by the chains of hell, that ye may not suffer the second death.

31. 31

    וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeאַלְמָאAL/maAlmaדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMwordsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyעוֹדodmoreאֶל־הָעָםel-ha/AMunto the peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־נִכְתְּבוּlo-nikh/te/VUare not writtenבַּסֵּפֶרbas/SE/ferin the bookהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    And Alma spake many more words unto the people, which are not written in this book.
