   And it came to pass when Jesus had said these words, he spake unto his disciples, one by one, saying unto them: What is it that ye desire of me, after that I am gone to the Father?

   And they all spake, save it were three, saying: We desire that after we have lived unto the age of man, that our ministry, wherein thou hast called us, may have an end, that we may speedily come unto thee in thy kingdom.

   And he said unto them: Blessed are ye because ye desired this thing of me; therefore, after that ye are seventy and two years old ye shall come unto me in my kingdom; and with me ye shall find rest.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכְּדַבְּרוֹke/dab/be/ROwhen he spokeאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themוַיִּפֶןvay/YI/fenand he turnedאֶל־הַשְּׁלֹשָׁהel-hash/she/lo/SHAunto the threeוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themמַה־תִּרְצוּma-tir/TSUwhat will youאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEI should doלָכֶםla/KHEMto youבְּלֶכְתִּיbe/lekh/TIwhen I am goneאֶל־הָאָב׃el-Ha/AVunto the Father

   And when he had spoken unto them, he turned himself unto the three, and said unto them: What will ye that I should do unto you, when I am gone unto the Father?

   וַיִּתְעַצְּבוּvay/yit/ats/tse/VUand they sorrowedבְּלִבָּםbe/lib/BAMin their heartsכִּי־לֹאki-lofor notהֵעֵזּוּhe/ez/ZUthey durstלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERto speakאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto himאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe thingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichחָפְצוּ׃cha/fe/TSUthey desired

   And they sorrowed in their hearts, for they durst not speak unto him the thing which they desired.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowאֶת־מַחְשְׁבוֹתֵיכֶםet-mach/she/vo/te/KHEMyour thoughtsוַחֲפַצְתֶּםva/cha/fats/TEMand you desiredבַּדָּבָרbad/da/VARthe thingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichחָפַץcha/FATSdesiredמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/niof meיוֹחָנָןYo/cha/NANJohnיְדִידִיye/di/DImy belovedאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהָיָהha/YAwasעִמִּיim/MIwith meבַּעֲבוֹדָתִיba/a/vo/da/TIin my ministryבְּטֶרֶםbe/TE/rembeforeנִשֵּׂאתִיnis/se/TII was lifted upבִּידֵיbi/DEby the handsהַיְּהוּדִים׃hay/Ye/hu/DIMof the Jews

   And he said unto them: Behold, I know your thoughts, and ye have desired the thing which John, my beloved, who was with me in my ministry, before that I was lifted up by the Jews, desired of me.

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeמְאֻשָּׁרִיםme/ush/sha/RIMblessedאַתֶּםat/TEMyou areיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreכִּי־לֹאki-lofor notתִטְעֲמוּtit/a/MUshall you tasteמָוֶתMA/vetof deathלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverכִּי־אִםki-imbutתִּחְיוּtich/YUyou shall liveלִרְאוֹתlir/OTto beholdאֶת־כׇּל־מַעֲשֵׂיet-kol-ma/a/SEall the doingsהָאָבha/AVof the Fatherלִבְנֵי־הָאָדָםliv/NE-ha/a/DAMunto the children of menעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHEReven untilיִמָּלְאוּyim/ma/le/Ube fulfilledכׇל־הַדְּבָרִיםkhol-had/de/va/RIMall thingsכִּרְצוֹןkir/TSONaccording to the willהָאָבha/AVof the Fatherבְּבוֹאִיbe/vo/Iwhen I shall comeבִכְבוֹדִיvikh/vo/DIin my gloryעִם־כֹּחוֹתim-ko/CHOTwith the powersהַשָּׁמָיִם׃hash/sha/MA/yimof the heavens

   Therefore, more blessed are ye, for ye shall never taste of death; but ye shall live to behold all the doings of the Father unto the children of men, even until all things shall be fulfilled according to the will of the Father, when I shall come in my glory with the powers of heaven.

   וְלֹאve/LOand notתִסְבְּלוּtis/be/LUshall you endureחֶבְלֵיchev/LEthe painsמָוֶתMA/vetof deathלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverאַךְakhbutבְּבוֹאִיbe/vo/Iwhen I shall comeבִכְבוֹדִיvikh/vo/DIin my gloryתֵּהָפְכוּte/ha/fe/KHUyou shall be changedכְּהֶרֶףke/HE/refin the twinklingעַיִןA/yinof an eyeמִתְּמוּתָהmit/te/mu/TAfrom mortalityלְאַל־מָוֶתle/AL-MA/vetto immortalityוְאָזve/AZand thenתְּבֹרְכוּte/vor/KHUshall you be blessedבְּמַלְכוּתbe/mal/KHUTin the kingdomאָבִי׃A/VIof my Father

   And ye shall never endure the pains of death; but when I shall come in my glory ye shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye from mortality to immortality; and then shall ye be blessed in the kingdom of my Father.

   וְעוֹדve/ODand againלֹא־יִהְיֶהlo-yih/YEshall not beלָכֶםla/KHEMto youכְּאֵבke/EVpainבְּשִׁבְתְּכֶםbe/shiv/te/KHEMwhile you shall dwellבַּבָּשָׂרbab/ba/SARin the fleshוְלֹאve/LOneitherעֶצֶבE/tsevsorrowזוּלַתzu/LATsave it beעַל־חַטֹּאתal-chat/TOTfor the sinsהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMof the worldוְכׇל־זֹאתve/KHOL-zotand all thisאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEwill I doבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe thingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichחֲפַצְתֶּםcha/fats/TEMyou desiredמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/niof meכִּיkiforחֲפַצְתֶּםcha/fats/TEMyou desiredלְהָבִיאle/ha/VIto bringנַפְשׁוֹתnaf/SHOTthe soulsבְּנֵי־הָאָדָםbe/NE-ha/a/DAMof the children of menאֵלַיe/LAYunto meכׇּל־עוֹדkol-odwhileיַעֲמֹדya/a/MODshall standהָעוֹלָם׃ha/o/LAMthe world

   And again, ye shall not have pain while ye shall dwell in the flesh, neither sorrow save it be for the sins of the world; and all this will I do because of the thing which ye have desired of me, for ye have desired that ye might bring the souls of men unto me, while the world shall stand.

    וּבַעֲבוּרu/va/a/VURand becauseזֹאתzotof thisיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beלָכֶםla/KHEMto youמְלֹאme/LOfulnessשִׂמְחָהsim/CHAof joyוִישַׁבְתֶּםvi/shav/TEMand you shall sit downבְּמַלְכוּתbe/mal/KHUTin the kingdomאָבִיA/VIof my Fatherאַףafyeaתִּמָּלֵאtim/ma/LEshall be fullשִׂמְחַתְכֶםsim/chat/KHEMyour joyכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asנָתַן־לִיna/TAN-ligave meהָאָבha/AVthe Fatherמְלֹאme/LOfulnessשִׂמְחָהsim/CHAof joyוִהְיִיתֶםvih/yi/TEMand you shall beכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asאֲנִיa/NII amוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand I amכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asהָאָבha/AVthe Fatherוְהָאָבve/Ha/AVand the Fatherוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֶחָד׃e/CHADare one

    And for this cause ye shall have fulness of joy; and ye shall sit down in the kingdom of my Father; yea, your joy shall be full, even as the Father hath given me fulness of joy; and ye shall be even as I am, and I am even as the Father; and the Father and I are one;

11. 11

    וְרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁve/RU/ach-hak/KO/deshand the Holy Ghostמֵעִידme/IDbears recordעַל־הָאָבal-Ha/AVof the Fatherוְעָלַיve/a/LAYand of meוְיִתֵּןve/yit/TENand givesהָאָבha/AVthe Fatherאֶת־רוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁet-RU/ach-hak/KO/deshthe Holy Ghostלִבְנֵי־הָאָדָםliv/NE-ha/a/DAMunto the children of menבַּעֲבוּרִי׃ba/a/vu/RIbecause of me

    And the Holy Ghost beareth record of the Father and me; and the Father giveth the Holy Ghost unto the children of men, because of me.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכְּדַבֵּרke/dab/BERwhen spokeיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוַיִּגַּעvay/yig/GAand he touchedבְּאֶצְבָּעוֹbe/ets/ba/Owith his fingerבְּכֻלָּםbe/khul/LAMevery one of themמִלְּבַדmil/le/VADsave it wereהַשְּׁלֹשָׁהhash/she/lo/SHAthe threeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִשָּׁאֲרוּyish/sha/a/RUwere to tarryוְאָזve/AZand thenהָלַךְ׃ha/LAKHhe departed

    And it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words, he touched every one of them with his finger save it were the three who were to tarry, and then he departed.

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdנִפְתְּחוּnif/te/CHUwere openedהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוַיִּנָּשְׂאוּvay/yin/na/se/Uand they were caught upהַשָּׁמַיְמָהhash/sha/MAY/mainto heavenוַיִּרְאוּvay/yir/Uand they sawוַיִּשְׁמְעוּvay/yish/me/Uand they heardדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאlonotנִתָּןnit/TANwas givenלְדַבֵּר׃le/dab/BERto utter

    And behold, the heavens were opened, and they were caught up into heaven, and saw and heard unspeakable things.

14. 14

    וַיֵּאָסֵרvay/ye/a/SERand it was forbiddenעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMthemלְהַבִּיעַle/hab/BI/ato utterוְגַםve/GAMand alsoלֹאlonotנִתַּןnit/TANwas givenלָהֶםla/HEMthemכֹּחַKO/achpowerלְהַבִּיעַle/hab/BI/ato utterאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichרָאוּra/Uthey sawוְשָׁמְעוּ׃ve/sha/me/Uand heard

    And it was forbidden them that they should utter; neither was it given unto them power that they could utter the things which they saw and heard;

15. 15

    וְאִםve/IMand whetherבַּגְּוִיָּהbag/ge/viy/YAin the bodyאוֹoorמִחוּץmi/CHUTSoutלַגְּוִיָּהlag/ge/viy/YAof the bodyהָיוּha/YUthey wereלֹא־יָכְלוּlo-ya/khe/LUcould notלְהַגִּידle/hag/GIDto tellכִּיkiforנִרְאָהnir/Ait did seemלָהֶםla/HEMunto themכְּהֵהָפְכָםke/he/ha/fe/KHAMlike a transfiguration of themאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנֶהֶפְכוּne/hef/KHUthey were changedמִגְּוִיַּתmig/ge/viy/YATfrom the bodyהַבָּשָׂרhab/ba/SARof the fleshהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלִבְלִי־מוּתliv/LI-mutinto an immortal stateלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיוּכְלוּyukh/LUthey couldלִרְאוֹתlir/OTto beholdאֶת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe thingsהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMof God

    And whether they were in the body or out of the body, they could not tell; for it did seem unto them like a transfiguration of them, that they were changed from this body of flesh into an immortal state, that they could behold the things of God.

    אַךְakhbutשָׁבוּSHA/vuthey did againלְשָׁרֵתle/sha/RETministerעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthוְאַךְve/AKHneverthelessלֹאlonotשֵׁרְתוּsher/TUthey ministeredמִן־הַדְּבָרִיםmin-had/de/va/RIMof the thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Uthey heardוְרָאוּve/ra/Uand seenבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofהַמִּצְוָהham/mits/VAthe commandmentאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAwas givenלָהֶםla/HEMthemבַּשָּׁמָיִם׃bash/sha/MA/yimin heaven

    But it came to pass that they did again minister upon the face of the earth; nevertheless they did not minister of the things which they had heard and seen, because of the commandment which was given them in heaven.

17. 17

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאִםimifבְּנֵיbe/NEsonsתְמוּתָהte/mu/TAof mortalityאוֹoorבְּנֵיbe/NEsonsאַל־מָוֶתal-MA/vetof immortalityהָיוּha/YUthey wereמִיּוֹםmiy/YOMfrom the dayהֵהָפְכָםhe/ha/fe/KHAMof their transfigurationלֹאlonotיָדַעְתִּי׃ya/DA/tiI know

    And now, whether they were mortal or immortal, from the day of their transfiguration, I know not;

18. 18

    אַךְakhbutזֹאתzotthis muchיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowכַּסֵּפֶרkas/SE/feraccording to the recordאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנִתַּןnit/TANhas been givenכִּיkithatהָלְכוּha/le/KHUthey went forthעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the landוַיְשָׁרְתוּvay/sha/re/TUand ministeredלְכׇל־הָעָםle/KHOL-ha/AMto all the peopleוַיְחַבְּרוּvay/chab/be/RUand unitingרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyלַקְּהִלָּהlak/ke/hil/LAto the churchכְּכׇלke/KHOLas manyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasהֶאֱמִינוּhe/e/MI/nuwould believeבְּהַטָּפָתָםbe/hat/ta/fa/TAMin their preachingוַיַּטְבִּילוּםvay/yat/bi/LUMbaptizing themוְכׇל־הַנִּטְבָּלִיםve/KHOL-han/nit/ba/LIMand as many as were baptizedקִבְּלוּkib/be/LUreceivedאֶת־רוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁ׃et-RU/ach-hak/KO/deshthe Holy Ghost

    But this much I know, according to the record which hath been given—they did go forth upon the face of the land, and did minister unto all the people, uniting as many to the church as would believe in their preaching; baptizing them, and as many as were baptized did receive the Holy Ghost.

    וַיֻּשְׁלְכוּvay/yush/le/KHUand they were castלַכֶּלֶאlak/KE/leinto prisonבִּידֵיbi/DEby the handsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof them whoלֹא־הָיוּlo-ha/YUdid not belongמִן־הַקְּהִלָּהmin-hak/ke/hil/LAof the churchוְלֹאve/LOand notיָכְלוּya/khe/LUcouldבָּתֵּיbat/TEthe housesהַכֶּלֶאhak/KE/leof the prisonלַעֲצֹרla/a/TSORto holdאוֹתָםo/TAMthemכִּיkiforנִבְקְעוּniv/ke/Uthey were rentלִשְׁנַיִם׃lish/NA/yimin twain

    And they were cast into prison by them who did not belong to the church. And the prisons could not hold them, for they were rent in twain.

    וַיֻּשְׁלְכוּvay/yush/le/KHUand they were castאָרְצָהAR/tsainto the earthאַךְakhbutהִכּוּhik/KUthey smoteאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe earthבִּדְבַרbid/VARby the wordהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMof Godעַד־כִּיad-kiinsomuch thatבְכֹחוֹve/kho/CHOby his powerנִצְּלוּnits/tse/LUthey were deliveredמִמַּעֲמַקֵּיmim/ma/a/mak/KEout of the depthsהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthוְלָכֵןve/la/KHENand thereforeלֹא־יָכְלוּlo-ya/khe/LUcould notלַחְפֹּרlach/PORto digבּוֹרוֹתbo/ROTpitsרַבִּיםrab/BIMsufficientלַעֲצֹרla/a/TSORto holdאוֹתָם׃o/TAMthem

    And they were cast down into the earth; but they did smite the earth with the word of God, insomuch that by his power they were delivered out of the depths of the earth; and therefore they could not dig pits sufficient to hold them.

21. 21

    וּשְׁלֹשׁu/she/LOSHand threeפְּעָמִיםpe/a/MIMtimesהֻשְׁלְכוּhush/le/KHUwere they castלְתוֹךְle/TOKHintoהַכִּבְשָׁןhak/kiv/SHANa furnaceוְלֹאve/LOand notנִזּוֹקוּ׃niz/zo/KUwere they harmed

    And thrice they were cast into a furnace and received no harm.

22. 22

    וּפַעֲמַיִםu/fa/a/MA/yimand twiceהֻשְׁלְכוּhush/le/KHUwere they castלִמְעוֹנַתlim/o/NATinto the denחַיּוֹתchay/YOTof beastsטָרֶףTA/refof preyוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdשִׂחֲקוּsi/cha/KUthey did playעִם־הַחַיּוֹתim-ha/chay/YOTwith the beastsכְּיֶלֶדke/YE/ledas a childעִם־טָלֶהim-ta/LEwith a lambיוֹנֵקyo/NEKsucklingוְלֹאve/LOand notנִזּוֹקוּ׃niz/zo/KUwere they harmed

    And twice were they cast into a den of wild beasts; and behold they did play with the beasts as a child with a suckling lamb, and received no harm.

    וְכָכָהve/KHA/khaand thusהָלְכוּha/le/KHUdid they go forthבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revamongכׇּל־עַםkol-amall the peopleנֶפִיNE/fiof Nephiוַיַּטִּיפוּvay/yat/ti/FUand preachedאֶת־בְּשׂוֹרַתet-be/so/RATthe gospelהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achof Christלְכׇל־הָעָםle/KHOL-ha/AMto all the peopleעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the landוַיָּשׁוּבוּvay/ya/SHU/vuand they were convertedאֶל־הָאָדוֹןel-ha/a/DONto the Lordוַיִּתְחַבְּרוּvay/yit/chab/be/RUand were unitedעִם־קְהִלַּתim-ke/hil/LATwith the churchהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achof Christוְכֵןve/KHENand thusבֹּרַךְbo/RAKHwas blessedהָעָםha/AMthe peopleבַּדּוֹרbad/DORin the generationהַהוּאha/HUthatכִּדְבַרkid/VARaccording to the wordיֵשׁוּעַ׃Ye/SHU/aof Jesus

    And it came to pass that thus they did go forth among all the people of Nephi, and did preach the gospel of Christ unto all people upon the face of the land; and they were converted unto the Lord, and were united unto the church of Christ, and thus the people of that generation were blessed, according to the word of Jesus.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאֲנִיa/NIIמוֹרְמוֹןMOR/monMormonמְכַלֶּהme/khal/LEmake an endלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERto speakעַל־הַדְּבָרִיםal-had/de/va/RIMconcerning the thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseלְעֵת׃le/ETfor a time

    And now I, Mormon, make an end of speaking concerning these things for a time.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdעָמַדְתִּיa/MAD/tiI was aboutלִכְתֹּבlikh/TOVto writeאֶת־שְׁמוֹתet-she/MOTthe namesאֵלֶּהEL/leof thoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹאlonotיִטְעֲמוּyit/a/MUwere to tasteמָוֶתMA/vetof deathלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverאַךְakhbutאָסַרa/SARforbadeיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeלֹאlonotאֶכְתְּבֵםekh/te/VEMI write themכִּיkiforנִסְתָּרִיםnis/ta/RIMhidהֵםhemare theyמִן־הָעוֹלָם׃min-ha/o/LAMfrom the world

    Behold, I was about to write the names of those who were never to taste of death, but the Lord forbade; therefore I write them not, for they are hid from the world.

26. 26

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdרָאִיתִיra/I/tiI sawאוֹתָםo/TAMthemוְהֵםve/HEMand theyשֵׁרְתוּsher/TUministeredלִי׃lito me

    But behold, I have seen them, and they have ministered unto me.

27. 27

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdיִהְיוּyih/YUthey shall beבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revamongהַגּוֹיִםhag/Go/YIMthe Gentilesוְהַגּוֹיִםve/hag/Go/YIMand the Gentilesלֹאlonotיֵדְעוּם׃yed/UMknow them

    And behold they will be among the Gentiles, and the Gentiles shall know them not.

28. 28

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoיִהְיוּyih/YUthey shall beבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revamongהַיְּהוּדִיםhay/Ye/hu/DIMthe Jewsוְהַיְּהוּדִיםve/hay/Ye/hu/DIMand the Jewsלֹאlonotיֵדְעוּם׃yed/UMknow them

    They will also be among the Jews, and the Jews shall know them not.

29. 29

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenיִרְאֶהyir/EseesיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiלְנָכוֹןle/na/KHONfitבְּחׇכְמָתוֹbe/chokh/ma/TOin his wisdomוְהֵםve/HEMand theyיְשָׁרְתוּye/sha/re/TUshall ministerלְכׇל־שִׁבְטֵיle/KHOL-shiv/TEunto all the tribesיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELof Israelהַנְּפוֹצִיםhan/ne/fo/TSIMwho are scatteredוּלְכׇל־הַגּוֹיִםu/le/KHOL-hag/go/YIMand unto all nationsוְהַמִּשְׁפָּחוֹתve/ham/mish/pa/CHOTand kindredsוְהַלְּשֹׁנוֹתve/hal/le/sho/NOTand tonguesוְהָעַמִּיםve/ha/am/MIMand peopleוְיָבִיאוּve/ya/VI/uand shall bringמֵהֶםme/HEMout of themנְפָשׁוֹתne/fa/SHOTsoulsרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyאֶל־יֵשׁוּעַel-Ye/SHU/ato Jesusלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִמָּלֵאyim/MA/lemay be fulfilledחֶפְצָםchef/TSAMtheir desireוְגַםve/GAMand alsoבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofכֹּחַKO/achthe powerאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godהַמּוֹכִיחַham/mo/KHI/achconvincingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isבָּם׃bamin them

    And it shall come to pass, when the Lord seeth fit in his wisdom that they shall minister unto all the scattered tribes of Israel, and unto all nations, kindreds, tongues and people, and shall bring out of them unto Jesus many souls, that their desire may be fulfilled, and also because of the convincing power of God which is in them.

30. 30

    וְהֵםve/HEMand theyכְּמַלְאֲכֵיke/mal/a/KHEas the angelsהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMof Godוְאִםve/IMand ifיִתְפַּלְלוּyit/pal/LUthey shall prayאֶל־הָאָבel-Ha/AVunto the Fatherבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMin the nameיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aof Jesusיוּכְלוּyukh/LUthey canלְהֵרָאוֹתle/he/ra/OTto show themselvesלְכׇל־אָדָםle/KHOL-a/DAMunto whatsoever manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasיֵרָאֶהye/ra/Eit seemsלָהֶםla/HEMthemטוֹב׃tovgood

    And they are as the angels of God, and if they shall pray unto the Father in the name of Jesus they can show themselves unto whatsoever man it seemeth them good.

31. 31

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeמַעֲשִׂיםma/a/SIMworksגְּדוֹלִיםge/do/LIMgreatוְנִפְלָאִיםve/nif/la/IMand marvelousיֵעָשׂוּye/a/SUshall be wroughtעַל־יָדָםal-ya/DAMby themלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLthe greatוְהַבָּאve/hab/BAand comingכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenיַעַמְדוּya/am/DUshall standכׇּל־הָעַמִּיםkol-ha/am/MIMall peopleלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeכִּסֵּא־מִשְׁפַּטkis/SE-mish/PATthe judgment seatהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achof Christ

    Therefore, great and marvelous works shall be wrought by them, before the great and coming day when all people must surely stand before the judgment-seat of Christ;

32. 32

    הֵןhenyeaגַּםgamevenבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revamongהַגּוֹיִםhag/Go/YIMthe Gentilesיֵעָשֶׂהye/a/SEshall there beמַעֲשֶׂהma/a/SEa workגָדוֹלga/DOLgreatוְנִפְלָאve/nif/LAand marvelousעַל־יָדָםal-ya/DAMby themלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיוֹםyomthe dayהַמִּשְׁפָּטham/mish/PATof the judgmentהַהוּא׃ha/HUthat

    Yea even among the Gentiles shall there be a great and marvelous work wrought by them, before that judgment day.

33. 33

    וְאִםve/IMand ifהָיוּha/YUthere wereלָכֶםla/KHEMto youכׇּל־הַכְּתוּבִיםkol-hak/ke/tu/VIMall the scripturesהַמְסַפְּרִיםham/sap/pe/RIMwhich give an accountאֶת־כׇּל־מַעֲשֵׂיet-kol-ma/a/SEof all the worksהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achof Christהַנִּפְלָאִיםhan/nif/la/IMthe marvelousיְדַעְתֶּםye/da/TEMyou would knowכְּדִבְרֵיke/div/REaccording to the wordsהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achof Christכִּיkithatהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseבּוֹאbosurelyיָבוֹאוּ׃ya/VO/umust come

    And if ye had all the scriptures which give an account of all the marvelous works of Christ, ye would, according to the words of Christ, know that these things must surely come.

34. 34

    וְאוֹיve/OYand wo beלְמִיle/MIunto himאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹאlonotיַקְשִׁיבyak/SHIVwill hearkenלְדִבְרֵיle/div/REunto the wordsיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aof Jesusוְגַםve/GAMand alsoלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERto them whomבָּחַרba/CHARhe choseוְשָׁלַחve/sha/LACHand sentבֵּינֵיהֶםbe/ne/HEMamong themכִּיkiforמִיmiwhosoאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹאlonotיְקַבֵּלye/kab/BELreceivesאֶת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe wordsיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aof Jesusוְדִבְרֵיve/div/REand the wordsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof those whomשָׁלַחsha/LACHhe sentלֹאlonotיְקַבֵּלye/kab/BELreceivesאוֹתוֹo/TOhimוְלָכֵןve/la/KHENand thereforeלֹאlonotיְקַבְּלֵםye/kab/be/LEMwill he receive themבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMat the dayהָאַחֲרוֹן׃ha/a/cha/RONthe last

    And wo be unto him that will not hearken unto the words of Jesus, and also to them whom he hath chosen and sent among them; for whoso receiveth not the words of Jesus and the words of those whom he hath sent receiveth not him; and therefore he will not receive them at the last day;

35. 35

    וְטוֹבve/TOVand betterהָיָהha/YAit would beלָהֶםla/HEMunto themאִם־לֹאim-loif notנוֹלְדוּnol/DUthey had been bornכִּיkiforהֲתַחְשְׁבוּha/tach/she/VUdo you supposeכִּיkithatתוּכְלוּtukh/LUyou canלְהִמָּלֵטle/him/ma/LETescapeמִצֶּדֶקmits/TSE/dekthe justiceאֵלelof Godאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomהִכְעִיסוּהוּhikh/i/su/HUthey offendedוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand whoנִרְמַסnir/MAShas been trampledתַּחַתTA/chatunderרַגְלֵיrag/LEfeetאָדָםa/DAMof menלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתָּבוֹאta/VOmight comeהַיְשׁוּעָה׃hay/shu/Asalvation

    And it would be better for them if they had not been born. For do ye suppose that ye can get rid of the justice of an offended God, who hath been trampled under feet of men, that thereby salvation might come?

36. 36

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI spokeעַל־אֵלֶּהal-EL/leconcerning thoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomבָּחַרba/CHARchoseיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאַףafyeaגַּםgamevenהַשְּׁלֹשָׁהhash/she/lo/SHAthe threeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנִשְּׂאוּnis/se/Uwere caught upהַשָּׁמַיְמָהhash/sha/MAY/mainto the heavensכִּי־לֹאki-lothat notיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knewאִם־טָהֲרוּim-ta/ha/RUwhether they were cleansedמִתְּמוּתָהmit/te/mu/TAfrom mortalityלְאַל־מָוֶת׃le/AL-MA/vetunto immortality

    And now behold, as I spake concerning those whom the Lord hath chosen, yea, even three who were caught up into the heavens, that I knew not whether they were cleansed from mortality to immortality—

37. 37

    אַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdמֵאָזme/AZsinceכָּתַבְתִּיka/TAV/tiI wroteדָּרַשְׁתִּיda/RASH/tiI inquiredמֵאֵתme/ETofיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiוְהוּאve/HUand heהוֹדִיעַho/DI/amade knownלִיlito meכִּיkithatנָכוֹןna/KHONneedfulהָיָהha/YAwasלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto workתְּמוּרָהte/mu/RAa changeבִּגְוִיָּתָםbig/viy/ya/TAMupon their bodiesוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loor elseהָיָהha/YAit needs beעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMthat they mustלִטְעֹםlit/OMtasteמָוֶת׃MA/vetof death

    But behold, since I wrote, I have inquired of the Lord, and he hath made it manifest unto me that there must needs be a change wrought upon their bodies, or else it needs be that they must taste of death;

38. 38

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹאlonotיִטְעֲמוּyit/a/MUthey should tasteמָוֶתMA/vetdeathנֶעֶשְׂתָהne/es/TAthere was wroughtתְּמוּרָהte/mu/RAa changeבִּגְוִיָּתָםbig/viy/ya/TAMupon their bodiesלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹאlonotיִסְבְּלוּyis/be/LUthey should sufferכְּאֵבke/EVpainוְעֶצֶבve/E/tsevnor sorrowזוּלַתzu/LATsave it beעַל־חַטֹּאתal-chat/TOTfor the sinsהָעוֹלָם׃ha/o/LAMof the world

    Therefore, that they might not taste of death there was a change wrought upon their bodies, that they might not suffer pain nor sorrow save it were for the sins of the world.

39. 39

    וְהַתְּמוּרָהve/hat/te/mu/RAnow the changeהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלֹא־הָיְתָהlo-ha/ye/TAwas notשָׁוָהSHA/vaequalלַתְּמוּרָהlat/te/mu/RAto the changeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall take placeבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהָאַחֲרוֹןha/a/cha/RONthe lastאַךְakhbutנֶעֶשְׂתָהne/es/TAthere was wroughtבָהֶםva/HEMupon themתְּמוּרָהte/mu/RAa changeעַד־כִּיad-kiinsomuch thatלֹא־הָיָהlo-ha/YAthere was noלַשָּׂטָןlas/Sa/TANto SatanכֹּחַKO/achpowerעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themוְלֹא־יָכֹלve/LO-ya/KHOLthat he could notלְנַסּוֹתָםle/nas/so/TAMto tempt themוְהִתְקַדְּשׁוּve/hit/kad/de/SHUand they were sanctifiedבַבָּשָׂרvab/ba/SARin the fleshעַד־כִּיad-kithatהָיוּha/YUthey wereקְדוֹשִׁיםke/do/SHIMholyוְכֹחוֹתve/kho/CHOTand the powersהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthלֹא־יָכְלוּlo-ya/khe/LUcould notלַעֲצֹרla/a/TSORto holdאוֹתָם׃o/TAMthem

    Now this change was not equal to that which shall take place at the last day; but there was a change wrought upon them, insomuch that Satan could have no power over them, that he could not tempt them; and they were sanctified in the flesh, that they were holy, and that the powers of the earth could not hold them.

40. 40

    וּבַמַּצָּבu/vam/mats/TSAVand in the stateהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMthey wereלְהִשָּׁאֵרle/hish/sha/ERto remainעַד־יוֹםad-yomuntil the dayמִשְׁפַּטmish/PATof the judgmentהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achof Christוּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand at the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatיְקַבְּלוּye/kab/be/LUthey shall receiveתְּמוּרָהte/mu/RAa changeגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreוְיִתְקַבְּלוּve/yit/kab/be/LUand be receivedאֶל־מַלְכוּתel-mal/KHUTto the kingdomהָאָבha/AVof the Fatherלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TInot toצֵאתtsetgo outעוֹדodany moreכִּי־אִםki-imbutלָשֶׁבֶתla/SHE/vetto dwellעִם־הָאֱלֹהִיםim-ha/e/lo/HIMwith Godלְעוֹלָמִיםle/o/la/MIMeternallyבַּשָּׁמָיִם׃bash/sha/MA/yimin the heavens

    And in this state they were to remain until the judgment day of Christ; and at that day they were to receive a greater change, and to be received into the kingdom of the Father to go no more out, but to dwell with God eternally in the heavens.
