   And now, behold, my brethren, I have spoken unto you, according as the Spirit hath constrained me; wherefore, I know that they must surely come to pass.

   וְהַדְּבָרִיםve/had/de/va/RIMand the thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִכָּתְבוּyik/ka/te/VUshall be writtenמִן־הַסֵּפֶרmin-has/SE/ferout of the bookיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beיְקָרִיםye/ka/RIMof worthמְאֹדme/ODgreatלִבְנֵי־הָאָדָםliv/NE-ha/a/DAMunto the children of menוְאַףve/AFandכִּיkiespeciallyלְזַרְעֵנוּle/zar/e/NUunto our seedאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהוּאhuisשְׁאֵרִיתshe/e/RITa remnantבֵּית־יִשְׂרָאֵל׃bet-Yis/ra/ELof the house of Israel

   And the things which shall be written out of the book shall be of great worth unto the children of men, and especially unto our seed, which is a remnant of the house of Israel.

   כִּיkiforיִהְיֶהyih/YEit shall beבַיּוֹם־הַהוּאvay/YOM-ha/HUin that dayקְהִלּוֹתke/hil/LOTchurchesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich areנִבְנוּniv/NUbuilt upוְלֹאve/LOand notלַיהוָהla-Adonaiunto Adonaiכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenיֹאמַרyo/MARshall sayאִישׁishoneאֶל־רֵעֵהוּel-re/E/huto the otherהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIאֲנִיa/NIIלַיהוָהla-Adonaiam Adonai'sוְיֹאמַרve/yo/MARand shall sayהָאַחֵרha/a/CHERthe othersאֲנִיa/NIIאֲנִיa/NIIלַיהוָהla-Adonaiam Adonai'sוְכֵןve/KHENand thusיֹאמְרוּyo/me/RUthey shall sayכׇּל־בּוֹנֵיkol-bo/NEevery one that built upהַקְּהִלּוֹתhak/ke/hil/LOTthe churchesוְלֹאve/LOand notלַיהוָה׃la-Adonaiunto Adonai

   For it shall come to pass in that day that the churches which are built up, and not unto the Lord, when the one shall say unto the other: Behold, I, I am the Lord’s; and the others shall say: I, I am the Lord’s; and thus shall every one say that hath built up churches, and not unto the Lord—

   וְרָבוּve/ra/VUand they shall contendאִישׁishoneבְּרֵעֵהוּbe/re/E/huwith anotherוְרָבוּve/ra/VUand shall contendכֹהֲנֵיהֶםkho/ha/ne/HEMtheir priestsאִישׁishoneבְּרֵעֵהוּbe/re/E/huwith anotherוְיוֹרוּve/yo/RUand they shall teachבְּלִמּוּדָםbe/lim/mu/DAMwith their learningוִיכַחֲשׁוּvi/kha/cha/SHUand they shall denyאֶת־רוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁet-RU/ach-hak/KO/deshthe Holy Ghostהַנֹּתֵןhan/no/TENwhich givesאֹמֶר׃O/merutterance

   And they shall contend one with another; and their priests shall contend one with another, and they shall teach with their learning, and deny the Holy Ghost, which giveth utterance.

   וִיכַחֲשׁוּvi/kha/cha/SHUand they denyאֶת־כֹּחַet-KO/achthe powerאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godקְדוֹשׁ־יִשְׂרָאֵלke/DOSH-Yis/ra/ELthe Holy One of Israelוְיֹאמְרוּve/yo/me/RUand they sayאֶל־הָעָםel-ha/AMunto the peopleהַקְשִׁיבוּhak/SHI/vuhearkenאֵלֵינוּe/LE/nuunto usוְשִׁמְעוּve/shim/Uand hear youמִצְוָתֵנוּmits/va/te/NUour preceptכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֵיןenthere is noאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayכִּיkiforיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiוְהַגּוֹאֵלve/hag/Go/ELand the Redeemerעָשָׂהa/SAdidמְלַאכְתּוֹme/lakh/TOhis workוְנָתַןve/na/TANand he gaveכֹּחוֹko/CHOhis powerלָאָדָם׃la/a/DAMunto men

   And they deny the power of God, the Holy One of Israel; and they say unto the people: Hearken unto us, and hear ye our precept; for behold there is no God today, for the Lord and the Redeemer hath done his work, and he hath given his power unto men;

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdשִׁמְעוּshim/Uhearken youלְמִצְוָתִיle/mits/va/TIunto my preceptאִם־יֹאמְרוּim-yo/me/RUif they shall sayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingנַעֲשָׂהna/a/SAthere is wroughtמוֹפֵתmo/FETa miracleבְּיַד־יְהוָהbe/YAD-Adonaiby the hand of Adonaiאַל־תַּאֲמִינוּal-ta/a/MI/nudo not believeבוֹvoitכִּיkiforהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthis dayאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuhe is notאֵלela Godנִפְלָאוֹתnif/la/OTof miraclesכִּי־עָשָׂהki-a/SAhe didמְלַאכְתּוֹ׃me/lakh/TOhis work

   Behold, hearken ye unto my precept; if they shall say there is a miracle wrought by the hand of the Lord, believe it not; for this day he is not a God of miracles; he hath done his work.

   וְאַףve/AFyea andיִהְיוּyih/YUthere shall beרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיֹאמְרוּyo/me/RUwhich shall sayאִכְלוּikh/LUeatוּשְׁתוּu/she/TUand drinkוְשִׂמְחוּve/sim/CHUand be merryכִּיkiforמָחָרma/CHARtomorrowנָמוּתna/MUTwe dieוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beטוֹבtovwellלָנוּ׃LA/nuwith us

   Yea, and there shall be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die; and it shall be well with us.

   וְגַםve/GAMand alsoיִהְיוּyih/YUthere shall beרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיֹאמְרוּyo/me/RUwhich shall sayאִכְלוּikh/LUeatוּשְׁתוּu/she/TUand drinkוְשִׂמְחוּve/sim/CHUand be merryאַךְakhneverthelessיְראוּyer/Ufearאֶת־אֱלֹהִיםet-e/lo/HIMGodוְהוּאve/HUand heיַצְדִּיקyats/DIKwill justifyבַּעֲשׂוֹתba/a/SOTin committingחַטָּאתchat/TATa sinקְטַנָּהke/tan/NAlittleאַףafyeaכַּזְּבוּkaz/ze/VUlieמְעַטme/ATa littleעִקְבוּik/VUtake the advantageאִישׁishof oneבִּדְבָרָיוbid/va/RAYVbecause of his wordsכְּרוּke/RUdigבוֹרvora pitלְרֵעֲךָle/re/a/KHAfor your neighborאֵיןenthere is noרָעָהra/Aharmבָּזֶהba/ZEin thisוַעֲשׂוּva/a/SUand doכׇּל־אֵלֶּהkol-EL/leall theseכִּיkiforמָחָרma/CHARtomorrowנָמוּתna/MUTwe dieוְאִםve/IMand ifנֶאְשַׁםne/SHAMit so be that we are guiltyיַכֵּנוּyak/ke/NUwill beat usאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodבְּמַכּוֹתbe/mak/KOTwith stripesמְעַטּוֹתme/at/TOTa fewוּבְאַחֲרִיתu/ve/a/cha/RITand at lastנִוָּשַׁעniv/va/SHAwe shall be savedבְּמַלְכוּתbe/mal/KHUTin the kingdomהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMof God

   And there shall also be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry; nevertheless, fear God—he will justify in committing a little sin; yea, lie a little, take the advantage of one because of his words, dig a pit for thy neighbor; there is no harm in this; and do all these things, for tomorrow we die; and if it so be that we are guilty, God will beat us with a few stripes, and at last we shall be saved in the kingdom of God.

9. 9

   וְאַףve/AFyea andיִהְיוּyih/YUthere shall beרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיוֹרוּyo/RUwhich shall teachכַּדֶּרֶךְkad/DE/rekhafter mannerהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisתּוֹרוֹתto/ROTdoctrinesשֶׁקֶרSHE/kerfalseוְהֶבֶלve/HE/veland vainוְסִכְלוּתve/sikh/LUTand foolishוְגָבַהּve/ga/VAand shall be puffed upלְבָבָםle/va/VAMin their heartsוְיַעֲמִיקוּve/ya/a/mi/KUand they shall seek deepלְהַסְתִּירle/has/TIRto hideעֲצָתָםa/tsa/TAMtheir counselsמֵיְהוָהme-Adonaifrom Adonaiוְיִהְיוּve/yih/YUand shall beמַעֲשֵׂיהֶםma/a/se/HEMtheir worksבַחֹשֶׁךְ׃va/CHO/shekhin the dark

   Yea, and there shall be many which shall teach after this manner, false and vain and foolish doctrines, and shall be puffed up in their hearts, and shall seek deep to hide their counsels from the Lord; and their works shall be in the dark.

10. 10

    וְיִזְעַקve/yiz/AKand shall cryדַּם־הַקְּדוֹשִׁיםdam-hak/ke/do/SHIMthe blood of the saintsמִן־הָאֲדָמָהmin-ha/a/da/MAfrom the groundעֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMagainst them

    And the blood of the saints shall cry from the ground against them.

11. 11

    הֵןhenyeaסָרוּSA/ruthey wentכֻלָּםkhul/LAMall of themמִן־הַדֶּרֶךְmin-had/DE/rekhout of the wayנִשְׁחָתוּ׃nish/cha/TUthey became corrupted

    Yea, they have all gone out of the way; they have become corrupted.

12. 12

    בַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofהַגַּאֲוָהhag/ga/a/VAprideוּבַעֲבוּרu/va/a/VURand becauseמוֹרֵיmo/REof teachersשֶׁקֶרSHE/kerfalseוְתוֹרַתve/to/RATand doctrineשֶׁקֶרSHE/kerfalseנִשְׁחֲתוּnish/cha/TUbecame corruptedקְהִלּוֹתֵיהֶםke/hil/lo/te/HEMtheir churchesוּקְהִלּוֹתֵיהֶםu/ke/hil/lo/te/HEMand their churchesמִתְנַשְּׂאוֹתmit/nas/se/OTare lifted upבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofגַּאֲוָתָםga/a/va/TAMprideגָּבְהוּ׃ga/ve/HUthey are puffed up

    Because of pride, and because of false teachers, and false doctrine, their churches have become corrupted, and their churches are lifted up; because of pride they are puffed up.

    גּוֹזְלִיםgoz/LIMthey robאֶת־הָעֲנִיִּיםet-ha/a/niy/YIMthe poorבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofמִקְדְּשֵׁיהֶםmik/de/she/HEMtheir sanctuariesהַיָּפִיםhay/ya/FIMfineגּוֹזְלִיםgoz/LIMthey robאֶת־הָעֲנִיִּיםet-ha/a/niy/YIMthe poorבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofבִּגְדֵיהֶםbig/de/HEMtheir clothingהַיָּפִיםhay/ya/FIMfineוְרוֹדְפִיםve/rod/FIMand they persecuteאֶת־הָעֲנָוִיםet-ha/a/na/VIMthe meekוְעַנְוֵי־לֵבve/an/VE-levand the poor in heartכִּיkibecauseבְגַאֲוָתָםve/ga/a/va/TAMin their prideגָּבְהוּ׃ga/ve/HUthey are puffed up

    They rob the poor because of their fine sanctuaries; they rob the poor because of their fine clothing; and they persecute the meek and the poor in heart, because in their pride they are puffed up.

    נוֹשְׂאִיםnos/IMthey wearעֹרֶףO/refneckקָשֶׁהka/SHEstiffוְרֹאשׁve/ROSHand headרָםramhighוְאַףve/AFyea andבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofגַּאֲוָהga/a/VAprideוָרֶשַׁעva/RE/shaand wickednessוְתוֹעֵבוֹתve/to/e/VOTand abominationsוּזְנוּנִיםu/ze/nu/NIMand whoredomsתָּעוּta/Uwent astrayכֻלָּםkhul/LAMallבִּלְתִּיbil/TIsave it beאִם־מְעַטִּיםim-me/at/TIMa fewהַהֹלְכִיםha/hol/KHIMwho are the followersבַּעֲנָוָהba/a/na/VAhumbleאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REofהַמָּשִׁיחַHam/ma/SHI/achChristאַךְakhneverthelessגַּם־הֵםgam-hemtheyנִמְשָׁכִיםnim/sha/KHIMare ledפְּעָמִיםpe/a/MIMin instancesרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyלִתְעוֹתlit/OTthat they errכִּיkibecauseלֻמְּדוּlum/me/DUthey are taughtבְּמִצְוֹתbe/mits/VOTby the preceptsאֲנָשִׁים׃a/na/SHIMof men

    They wear stiff necks and high heads; yea, and because of pride, and wickedness, and abominations, and whoredoms, they have all gone astray save it be a few, who are the humble followers of Christ; nevertheless, they are led, that in many instances they do err because they are taught by the precepts of men.

    הוֹיhoyOהַחֲכָמִיםha/cha/kha/MIMthe wiseוְהַלְּמוּדִיםve/hal/le/mu/DIMand the learnedוְהָעֲשִׁירִיםve/ha/a/shi/RIMand the richהַגְּבֹהִיםhag/ge/vo/HIMthat are puffed upבְּגַאֲוַתbe/ga/a/VATin the prideלִבָּםlib/BAMof their heartsוְכׇל־מוֹרֵיve/KHOL-mo/REand all those who preachשֶׁקֶרSHE/kerfalse doctrinesוְכׇל־הַזּוֹנִיםve/KHOL-haz/zo/NIMand all who commit whoredomsוּמְעַקְּשֵׁיu/me/ak/ke/SHEand pervertדֶּרֶךְDE/rekhthe wayיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiהַיְשָׁרָהhay/sha/RAthe rightהוֹיhoywoהוֹיhoywoהוֹיhoywoלָהֶםla/HEMbe unto themנְאֻם־יְהוָהne/UM-Adonaisaith AdonaiאֵלelGodשַׁדַּיShad/DAYAlmightyכִּיkiforיוּטְלוּyut/LUthey shall be thrust downשְׁאוֹלָה׃she/O/lato hell

    O the wise, and the learned, and the rich, that are puffed up in the pride of their hearts, and all those who preach false doctrines, and all those who commit whoredoms, and pervert the right way of the Lord, wo, wo, wo be unto them, saith the Lord God Almighty, for they shall be thrust down to hell!

    הוֹיhoywoלַמַּטִּיםlam/mat/TIMunto them that turn asideהַיָּשָׁרhay/ya/SHARthe justבְּדִבְרֵיbe/div/REfor a thingתֹהוּTO/huof naughtוּמְגַדְּפִיםu/me/gad/de/FIMand revile againstאֶת־הַטּוֹבet-hat/TOVthat which is goodוְאֹמְרִיםve/om/RIMand sayכִּיkithatאֵין־בּוֹen-boit is of noמוֹעִילmo/ILworthכִּיkiforיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeיוֹםyomthe dayוְיִפְקֹדve/yif/KODthat will visitיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodמְהֵרָהme/he/RAspeedilyאֶת־יֹשְׁבֵיet-yosh/VEthe inhabitantsהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthוּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand in dayהַהוּאha/HUthatכִּמְלֹאתkim/LOTthat they are fully ripe inעֲוֹנָםa/vo/NAMtheir iniquityיֹאבֵדוּ׃yo/VE/duthey shall perish

    Wo unto them that turn aside the just for a thing of naught and revile against that which is good, and say that it is of no worth! For the day shall come that the Lord God will speedily visit the inhabitants of the earth; and in that day that they are fully ripe in iniquity they shall perish.

17. 17

    אַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאִם־יָשׁוּבוּim-ya/SHU/vuif they shall repentיֹשְׁבֵיyosh/VEthe inhabitantsהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthמֵרָעָתָםme/ra/a/TAMof their wickednessוְתוֹעֲבוֹתֵיהֶםve/to/a/vo/te/HEMand their abominationsלֹאlonotיִשָּׁמְדוּyish/sha/me/DUthey shall be destroyedנְאֻם־יְהוָהne/UM-Adonaisaith Adonaiצְבָאוֹת׃Tse/va/OTof Hosts

    But behold, if the inhabitants of the earth shall repent of their wickedness and abominations they shall not be destroyed, saith the Lord of Hosts.

18. 18

    אַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהָעֵדָהha/e/DAthe churchהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAgreatוְהַנִּתְעֶבֶתve/han/nit/E/vetand abominableזוֹנַתzo/NATthe whoreכׇּל־הָאָרֶץkol-ha/A/retsof all the earthנָפוֹלna/FOLmustתִּפּוֹלtip/POLtumbleאַרְצָהAR/tsato the earthוּגְדוֹלָהu/ge/do/LAand greatתִּהְיֶהtih/YEmust beמַפַּלְתָּהּ׃map/pal/TAthe fall thereof

    But behold, that great and abominable church, the whore of all the earth, must tumble to the earth, and great must be the fall thereof.

    כִּיkiforרָעֹשׁra/OSHmustתִּרְעַשׁtir/ASHshakeמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdomהַשָּׂטָןhas/sa/TANof the devilוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand they whichלוֹlobelong to itהִתְעוֹרֵרhit/o/RERmust needsיִתְעוֹרְרוּyit/or/RUbe stirred upלִתְשׁוּבָהlit/shu/VAunto repentanceאוֹoorיֹאחֲזֵםyo/cha/ZEMwill grasp themהַשָּׂטָןhas/sa/TANthe devilבְּמוֹסְרוֹתָיוbe/mos/ro/TAYVwith his chainsאֲשֶׁר־לְעוֹלָםa/SHER-le/o/LAMeverlastingוְיִתְעוֹרְרוּve/yit/or/RUand they be stirred upלְכַעַסle/KHA/asto angerוְיֹאבֵדוּ׃ve/yo/VE/duand perish

    For the kingdom of the devil must shake, and they which belong to it must needs be stirred up unto repentance, or the devil will grasp them with his everlasting chains, and they be stirred up to anger, and perish;

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMat dayהַהוּאha/HUthatיִזְעַףyiz/AFshall he rageבִּלְבַבbil/VAVin the heartsבְּנֵי־הָאָדָםbe/NE-ha/a/DAMof the children of menוִיעוֹרְרֵםvi/or/REMand stir them upלִכְעֹסlikh/OSto angerעַל־הַטּוֹב׃al-hat/TOVagainst that which is good

    For behold, at that day shall he rage in the hearts of the children of men, and stir them up to anger against that which is good.

21. 21

    וַאֲחֵרִיםva/a/che/RIMand othersיַרְגִּיעַyar/GI/awill he pacifyוִיפַתֵּםvi/fat/TEMand lull them awayבְּבִטְחוֹןbe/vit/CHONinto securityבָּשָׂרba/SARcarnalלֵאמֹרle/MORthat they will sayהַכֹּלhak/KOLallשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMis wellבְּצִיּוֹןbe/Tsiy/YONin ZionאַףafyeaצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONZionמַצְלַחַתmats/LA/chatprospersהַכֹּלhak/KOLallשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMis wellוְכֵןve/KHENand thusיְרַמֶּהye/ram/MEcheatsהַשָּׂטָןhas/sa/TANthe devilאֶת־נַפְשָׁםet-naf/SHAMtheir soulsוּמוֹלִיכָםu/mo/li/KHAMand leads them awayבְּנַחַתbe/NA/chatcarefully downשְׁאוֹלָה׃she/O/lato hell

    And others will he pacify, and lull them away into carnal security, that they will say: All is well in Zion; yea, Zion prospereth, all is well—and thus the devil cheateth their souls, and leadeth them away carefully down to hell.

22. 22

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאֲחֵרִיםa/che/RIMothersיַחֲלִיקya/cha/LIKhe flatters awayוְיֹאמַרve/yo/MARand tellsלָהֶםla/HEMthemכִּיkithatאֵיןenthere is noשְׁאוֹלshe/OLhellוְאָמַרve/a/MARand he saithלָהֶםla/HEMunto themאֵינֶנִּיe/NEN/niI am notשָׂטָןsa/TANa devilוְאֵיןve/ENfor there is noשָׂטָןsa/TANdevilוְכֵןve/KHENand thusיִלְחַשׁyil/CHASHhe whispersבְּאׇזְנֵיהֶםbe/oz/ne/HEMin their earsעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERuntilיֹאחֲזֵםyo/cha/ZEMhe grasps themבְּמוֹסְרוֹתָיוbe/mos/ro/TAYVwith his chainsהַנּוֹרָאוֹתhan/no/ra/OTthe awfulאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֵיןenthere is noמֵהֶןme/HENfrom whenceמָנוֹס׃ma/NOSdeliverance

    And behold, others he flattereth away, and telleth them there is no hell; and he saith unto them: I am no devil, for there is none—and thus he whispereth in their ears, until he grasps them with his awful chains, from whence there is no deliverance.

    הֵןhenyeaנִתְפְּשׂוּnit/pe/SUthey are graspedבַּמָּוֶתbam/MA/vetwith deathוּבִשְׁאוֹלu/vish/OLand in hellוְהַמָּוֶתve/ham/MA/vetand deathוּשְׁאוֹלu/she/OLand hellוְהַשָּׂטָןve/has/sa/TANand the devilוְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרve/KHOL-a/SHERand all whoנִתְפְּשׂוּnit/pe/SUare seizedבָםvamtherewithעָמֹדa/MODmustיַעַמְדוּya/am/DUstandלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeכִּסֵּאkis/SEthe throneאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godוְנִשְׁפְּטוּve/nish/pe/TUand shall be judgedכְּמַעֲשֵׂיהֶםke/ma/a/se/HEMaccording to their worksוּמִשָּׁםu/mish/SHAMand from thenceהָלֹךְha/LOKHmustיֵלְכוּyel/KHUthey goאֶל־הַמָּקוֹםel-ham/ma/KOMunto the placeהַמּוּכָןham/mu/KHANpreparedלָהֶםla/HEMfor themאֶל־אֲגַםel-a/GAMeven a lakeהָאֵשׁha/ESHof the fireוְהַגׇּפְרִיתve/hag/gof/RITand the brimstoneאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isעֹנֶשׁO/neshtormentאֵין־קֵץ׃en-ketsendless

    Yea, they are grasped with death, and hell; and death, and hell, and the devil, and all that have been seized therewith must stand before the throne of God, and be judged according to their works, from whence they must go into the place prepared for them, even a lake of fire and brimstone, which is endless torment.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהוֹיhoywo beלַשַּׁאֲנָןlash/sha/a/NANunto him that is at easeבְּצִיּוֹן׃be/Tsiy/YONin Zion

    Therefore, wo be unto him that is at ease in Zion!

25. 25

    הוֹיhoywo beלַקּוֹרֵאlak/ko/REunto him that criesהַכֹּלhak/KOLallשָׁלוֹם׃sha/LOMis well

    Wo be unto him that crieth: All is well!

26. 26

    הֵןhenyeaהוֹיhoywo beלַשֹּׁמֵעַlash/sho/ME/aunto him that hearkensלְמִצְוַתle/mits/VATunto the preceptsאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMof menוּמְכַחֵשׁu/me/kha/CHESHand deniesבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achthe powerאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godוּבְמַתַּתu/ve/mat/TATand the giftרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁ׃RU/ach-Hak/KO/deshof the Holy Ghost

    Yea, wo be unto him that hearkeneth unto the precepts of men, and denieth the power of God, and the gift of the Holy Ghost!

27. 27

    הֵןhenyeaהוֹיhoywo beלָאֹמֵרla/o/MERunto him that saithקִבַּלְנוּkib/bal/NUwe receivedוְלֹאve/LOand notנֶחְסַרnech/SARwe needעוֹד׃odmore

    Yea, wo be unto him that saith: We have received, and we need no more!

28. 28

    וְסוֹףve/SOFand the endדָּבָרda/VARof the matterהוֹיhoywoלְכׇל־הַחֲרֵדִיםle/KHOL-ha/cha/re/DIMunto all those who trembleוְהַכּוֹעֲסִיםve/hak/ko/a/SIMand are angryמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofאֱמֶתe/METthe truthאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיְקַבְּלֶנָּהye/kab/be/len/NAreceives itהַבָּנוּיhab/ba/NUYhe that is builtעַל־הַצּוּרal-hats/TSURupon the rockבְּשִׂמְחָהbe/sim/CHAwith gladnessוְיֶחֱרַדve/ye/che/RADtremblesהַבָּנוּיhab/ba/NUYhe that is builtעַל־יְסוֹדal-ye/SODupon a foundationחוֹלcholsandyפֶּן־יִפּוֹל׃pen-yip/POLlest he shall fall

    And in fine, wo unto all those who tremble, and are angry because of the truth of God! For behold, he that is built upon the rock receiveth it with gladness; and he that is built upon a sandy foundation trembleth lest he shall fall.

29. 29

    הוֹיhoywo beלָאֹמֵרla/o/MERunto him that shall sayקִבַּלְנוּkib/bal/NUwe receivedאֶת־דְּבַרet-de/VARthe wordאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godוְלֹאve/LOand notנֶחְסַרnech/SARwe needעוֹדodmoreמִדְּבַרmid/de/VARof the wordאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godכִּיkiforיֶשׁ־לָנוּyesh-LA/nuwe haveדַי׃dayenough

    Wo be unto him that shall say: We have received the word of God, and we need no more of the word of God, for we have enough!

30. 30

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saithיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶתֵּןet/TENI will giveלִבְנֵי־הָאָדָםliv/NE-ha/a/DAMunto the children of menקַוkavlineלָקָוla/KAVupon lineצַוtsavpreceptלָצָוla/TSAVupon preceptזְעֵירze/ERa littleשָׁםshamthereזְעֵירze/ERa littleשָׁםshamthereוְאַשְׁרֵיve/ash/REand blessed areהַשֹּׁמְעִיםhash/shom/IMthose who hearkenלְמִצְוֹתַיle/mits/vo/TAYunto my preceptsוּמַטִּיםu/mat/TIMand lendאֹזֶןO/zenan earלַעֲצָתִיla/a/tsa/TIunto my counselכִּיkiforיִלְמְדוּyil/me/DUthey shall learnחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomכִּיkiforלַמְקַבֵּלlam/kab/BELunto him that receivesאֶתֵּןet/TENI will giveעוֹדodmoreוּמֵהָאֹמְרִיםu/me/ha/om/RIMand from them that shall sayיֶשׁ־לָנוּyesh-LA/nuwe haveדַיdayenoughיִלָּקַחyil/la/KACHshall be taken awayגַּםgamevenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat whichלָהֶם׃la/HEMunto them

    For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more; and from them that shall say, We have enough, from them shall be taken away even that which they have.

31. 31

    אָרוּרa/RURcursed isהַבּוֹטֵחַhab/bo/TE/achhe that puts his trustבָּאָדָםba/a/DAMin manוְשָׂםve/SAMor makesבָּשָׂרba/SARfleshזְרֹעוֹze/ro/Ohis armוְשֹׁמֵעַve/sho/ME/aor shall hearkenלְמִצְוֹתle/mits/VOTunto the preceptsאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMof menבִּלְתִּיbil/TIsaveאִם־נִתְּנוּim-nit/te/NUtheir precepts shall be givenבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achby the powerרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁ׃RU/ach-Hak/KO/deshof the Holy Ghost

    Cursed is he that putteth his trust in man, or maketh flesh his arm, or shall hearken unto the precepts of men, save their precepts shall be given by the power of the Holy Ghost.

32. 32

    הוֹיhoywo beלַגּוֹיִםlag/Go/YIMunto the Gentilesנְאֻם־יְהוָהne/UM-Adonaisaith Adonaiאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEGodצְבָאוֹתTse/va/OTof Hostsכִּיkiforאַף־כִּיaf-kinotwithstandingאַטֶּהat/TEI shall lengthen outזְרוֹעִיze/ro/Imy armאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themיוֹםyomfrom dayיוֹםyomto dayיְכַחֲשׁוּye/kha/cha/SHUthey will denyבִיvimeאַךְakhneverthelessאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEI will beחֶסֶדCHE/sedmercifulעִמָּםim/MAMunto themנְאֻם־יְהוָהne/UM-Adonaisaith Adonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאִם־יָשׁוּבוּim-ya/SHU/vuif they will repentוְיָבֹאוּve/ya/VO/uand comeאֵלַיe/LAYunto meכִּיkiforזְרוֹעִיze/ro/Imy armנְטוּיָהne/tu/YAis lengthened outכׇּל־הַיּוֹםkol-hay/YOMall the day longנְאֻם־יְהוָהne/UM-Adonaisaith Adonaiאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEGodצְבָאוֹת׃Tse/va/OTof Hosts

    Wo be unto the Gentiles, saith the Lord God of Hosts! For notwithstanding I shall lengthen out mine arm unto them from day to day, they will deny me; nevertheless, I will be merciful unto them, saith the Lord God, if they will repent and come unto me; for mine arm is lengthened out all the day long, saith the Lord God of Hosts.
