   But, behold, in the last days, or in the days of the Gentiles—yea, behold all the nations of the Gentiles and also the Jews, both those who shall come upon this land and those who shall be upon other lands, yea, even upon all the lands of the earth, behold, they will be drunken with iniquity and all manner of abominations—

   And when that day shall come they shall be visited of the Lord of Hosts, with thunder and with earthquake, and with a great noise, and with storm, and with tempest, and with the flame of devouring fire.

   And all the nations that fight against Zion, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision; yea, it shall be unto them, even as unto a hungry man which dreameth, and behold he eateth but he awaketh and his soul is empty; or like unto a thirsty man which dreameth, and behold he drinketh but he awaketh and behold he is faint, and his soul hath appetite; yea, even so shall the multitude of all the nations be that fight against Mount Zion.

   כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdכׇּל־פֹּעֲלֵיkol-PO/a/leall you that doאָוֶןA/veniniquityהִתְמַהְמְהוּhit/mah/me/HUstay yourselvesוְהִתְפַּלְּאוּve/hit/pal/le/Uand wonderכִּיkiforתִזְעֲקוּtiz/a/KUyou shall cry outוּתְיֵלִילוּu/te/ye/li/LUand cryאַףafyeaתִּשְׁכְּרוּtish/ke/RUyou shall be drunkenוְלֹאve/LObut notמִיַּיִןmiy/YA/yinwith wineתָּנוּעוּta/nu/Uyou shall staggerוְלֹאve/LObut notמִשֵּׁכָר׃mish/she/KHARwith strong drink

   For behold, all ye that doeth iniquity, stay yourselves and wonder, for ye shall cry out, and cry; yea, ye shall be drunken but not with wine, ye shall stagger but not with strong drink.

   For behold, the Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep. For behold, ye have closed your eyes, and ye have rejected the prophets; and your rulers, and the seers hath he covered because of your iniquity.

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beכִּיkithatיָבִיאya/VIshall bring forthיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youאֶת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe wordsסֵפֶרSE/ferof a bookוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand they shall beדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe wordsהַנִּרְדָּמִים׃han/nir/da/MIMof those who slumbered

   And it shall come to pass that the Lord God shall bring forth unto you the words of a book, and they shall be the words of them which have slumbered.

7. 7

   וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהַסֵּפֶרhas/SE/ferthe bookחָתוּםcha/TUMshall be sealedוּבַסֵּפֶרu/vas/SE/ferand in the bookחָזוֹןcha/ZONis a revelationמֵאֵתme/ETfromאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodמֵרֵאשִׁיתme/re/SHITfrom the beginningהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMof the worldוְעַד־אַחֲרִיתוֹ׃ve/AD-a/cha/ri/TOunto the ending thereof

   And behold the book shall be sealed; and in the book shall be a revelation from God, from the beginning of the world to the ending thereof.

8. 8

   לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהַחֲתוּמִיםha/cha/tu/MIMwhich are sealed upלֹאloshall notיִנָּתְנוּyin/na/te/NUbe deliveredהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהַחֲתוּמִיםha/cha/tu/MIMwhich are sealed upבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the dayרִשְׁעַתrish/ATof the wickednessהָעָםha/AMof the peopleוְתוֹעֲבוֹתָיוve/to/a/vo/TAYVand his abominationsלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeיִצָּפֵןyits/tsa/FENshall be keptהַסֵּפֶרhas/SE/ferthe bookמֵהֶם׃me/HEMfrom them

   Wherefore, because of the things which are sealed up, the things which are sealed shall not be delivered in the day of the wickedness and abominations of the people. Wherefore the book shall be kept from them.

9. 9

   וְהַסֵּפֶרve/has/SE/ferbut the bookיִנָּתֵןyin/na/TENshall be deliveredלְאִישׁle/ISHunto a manוְהוּאve/HUand heיִתֵּןyit/TENshall deliverאֶת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe wordsהַסֵּפֶרhas/SE/ferof the bookאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהֵםhemareדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe wordsהַנִּרְדָּמִיםhan/nir/da/MIMof those who slumberedבֶּעָפָרbe/a/FARin the dustוְהוּאve/HUand heיִתֵּןyit/TENshall deliverאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseלְאַחֵר׃le/a/CHERunto another

   But the book shall be delivered unto a man, and he shall deliver the words of the book, which are the words of those who have slumbered in the dust, and he shall deliver these words unto another;

10. 10

    אַךְakhbutאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsהַחֲתוּמִיםha/cha/tu/MIMwhich are sealedלֹא־יִתֵּןlo-yit/TENhe shall not deliverוְגַםve/GAMneitherאֶת־הַסֵּפֶרet-has/SE/ferthe bookלֹא־יִתֵּןlo-yit/TENshall he deliverכִּיkiforיֵחָתֵםye/cha/TEMshall be sealedהַסֵּפֶרhas/SE/ferthe bookבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achby the powerאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godוְהֶחָזוֹןve/he/cha/ZONand the revelationהֶחָתוּםhe/cha/TUMwhich was sealedיִשָּׁמֵרyish/sha/MERshall be keptבַּסֵּפֶרbas/SE/ferin the bookעַד־עֵת־רְצוֹןad-et-re/TSONuntil the own due timeיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיֵצְאוּyets/Uthey may come forthכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיְגַלּוּye/gal/LUthey revealכׇּל־דָּבָרkol-da/VARall thingsמִמּוֹסְדוֹתmim/mos/DOTfrom the foundationהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMof the worldוְעַד־אַחֲרִיתוֹ׃ve/AD-a/cha/ri/TOunto the end thereof

    But the words which are sealed he shall not deliver, neither shall he deliver the book. For the book shall be sealed by the power of God, and the revelation which was sealed shall be kept in the book until the own due time of the Lord, that they may come forth; for behold, they reveal all things from the foundation of the world unto the end thereof.

11. 11

    וְיָבוֹאve/ya/VOand comesיוֹםyomthe dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִקָּרְאוּyik/ka/re/Ushall be readדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe wordsהַסֵּפֶרhas/SE/ferof the bookהַחֲתוּמִיםha/cha/tu/MIMwhich were sealedעַל־גַּגּוֹתal-gag/GOTupon the housetopsוְנִקְרְאוּve/nik/re/Uand they shall be readבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achby the powerהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achof Christוְיִגָּלֶהve/yig/ga/LEand shall be revealedכׇל־דָּבָרkhol-da/VARall thingsלִבְנֵי־הָאָדָםliv/NE-ha/a/DAMunto the children of menאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהָיָהha/YAever have beenבֵּיןbenamongבְּנֵי־הָאָדָםbe/NE-ha/a/DAMthe children of menוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand whichיִהְיֶהyih/YEever will beעַד־קְצֵהad-ke/TSEeven unto the endהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsof the earth

    And the day cometh that the words of the book which were sealed shall be read upon the house tops; and they shall be read by the power of Christ; and all things shall be revealed unto the children of men which ever have been among the children of men, and which ever will be even unto the end of the earth.

12. 12

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenיִנָּתֵןyin/na/TENshall be deliveredהַסֵּפֶרhas/SE/ferthe bookלָאִישׁla/ISHunto the manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whomדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI spokeיִסָּתֵרyis/sa/TERshall be hidהַסֵּפֶרhas/SE/ferthe bookמֵעֵינֵיme/e/NEfrom the eyesהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMof the worldוְלֹא־יִרְאוּהוּve/LO-yir/u/HUand shall not behold itעֵינַיִםe/NA/yimthe eyes of anyבִּלְתִּיbil/TIsave it beאִם־שְׁלֹשָׁהim-she/lo/SHAthat threeעֵדִיםe/DIMwitnessesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִרְאוּהוּyir/u/HUshall behold itבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achby the powerאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godמִלְּבַדmil/le/VADbesidesהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִנָּתֵןyin/na/TENshall be deliveredלוֹlounto himהַסֵּפֶרhas/SE/ferthe bookוְיָעִידוּve/ya/i/DUand they shall testifyעַל־אֱמֶתal-e/METto the truthהַסֵּפֶרhas/SE/ferof the bookוְהַדְּבָרִיםve/had/de/va/RIMand the thingsאֲשֶׁר־בּוֹ׃a/SHER-bowhich therein

    Wherefore, at that day when the book shall be delivered unto the man of whom I have spoken, the book shall be hid from the eyes of the world, that the eyes of none shall behold it save it be that three witnesses shall behold it, by the power of God, besides him to whom the book shall be delivered; and they shall testify to the truth of the book and the things therein.

13. 13

    וְאֵיןve/ENand there is noneאַחֵרa/CHERotherאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִרְאֶהyir/Eshall viewאוֹתוֹo/TOitבִּלְתִּיbil/TIsave it beאִם־מְתֵיim-me/TEmenמְעַטme/ATa fewכִּרְצוֹןkir/TSONaccording to the willאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godלָשֵׂאתla/SETto bearעֵדוּתe/DUTtestimonyדְּבָרוֹde/va/ROof his wordלִבְנֵי־הָאָדָםliv/NE-ha/a/DAMunto the children of menכִּיkiforאָמַרa/MARsaidיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodכִּיkithatדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe wordsהַנֶּאֱמָנִיםhan/ne/e/ma/NIMof the faithfulיְדַבְּרוּye/dab/be/RUshould speakכְּמוֹke/MOas if it wereמִן־הַמֵּתִים׃min-ham/me/TIMfrom the dead

    And there is none other which shall view it, save it be a few according to the will of God, to bear testimony of his word unto the children of men; for the Lord God hath said that the words of the faithful should speak as if it were from the dead.

14. 14

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeיוֹסִיףyo/SIFwill proceedיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלְהוֹצִיאle/ho/TSIto bring forthאֶת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe wordsהַסֵּפֶרhas/SE/ferof the bookוּבְפִיu/ve/FIand in the mouthעֵדִיםe/DIMof witnessesרַבִּיםrab/BIMas manyכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיִישַׁרyi/SHARshall seem goodבְּעֵינָיוbe/e/NAYVin his eyesיָקִיםya/KIMwill he establishאֶת־דְּבָרוֹet-de/va/ROhis wordוְאוֹיve/OYand wo beלְמֹאֵסle/mo/ESunto him that rejectsדְּבַר־אֱלֹהִים׃de/VAR-e/lo/HIMthe word of God

    Wherefore, the Lord God will proceed to bring forth the words of the book; and in the mouth of as many witnesses as seemeth him good will he establish his word; and wo be unto him that rejecteth the word of God!

15. 15

    אַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beכִּיkithatיֹאמַרyo/MARshall sayיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERunto him to whomיִתֵּן־לוֹyit/TEN-lohe shall deliverהַסֵּפֶרhas/SE/ferthe bookקַחkachtakeאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאloare notנֶחְתְּמוּnech/te/MUsealedוּתְנֵםu/te/NEMand deliver themלְאַחֵרle/a/CHERto anotherלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיַרְאֵםyar/EMhe may show themלֶחָכָםle/cha/KHAMunto the learnedלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingקְרָא־נָאke/RA-naread I pray youזֶהzethisוְאָמַרve/a/MARand shall sayהֶחָכָםhe/cha/KHAMthe learnedהָבֵאha/VEbringהֵנָּהHEN/nahitherהַסֵּפֶרhas/SE/ferthe bookוְאֶקְרָאֵם׃ve/ek/ra/EMand I will read them

    But behold, it shall come to pass that the Lord God shall say unto him to whom he shall deliver the book: Take these words which are not sealed and deliver them to another, that he may show them unto the learned, saying: Read this, I pray thee. And the learned shall say: Bring hither the book, and I will read them.

16. 16

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofכְבוֹדkhe/VODthe gloryהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMof the worldוּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand to getבֶּצַעBE/tsagainיֹאמְרוּyo/me/RUwill they sayזֹאתzotthisוְלֹאve/LOand notלִכְבוֹדlikh/VODfor the gloryאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMof God

    And now, because of the glory of the world and to get gain will they say this, and not for the glory of God.

17. 17

    וְאָמַרve/a/MARand shall sayהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manלֹאlonotאוּכַלu/KHALI canלְהָבִיאle/ha/VIto bringאֶת־הַסֵּפֶרet-has/SE/ferthe bookכִּיkiforחָתוּםcha/TUMis sealedהוּא׃huit

    And the man shall say: I cannot bring the book, for it is sealed.

18. 18

    וְאָזve/AZthenיֹאמַרyo/MARshall sayהֶחָכָםhe/cha/KHAMthe learnedלֹאlonotאוּכַלu/KHALI canלִקְרֹאlik/ROto readאֹתוֹ׃o/TOit

    Then shall the learned say: I cannot read it.

19. 19

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeיִתֵּןyit/TENwill deliverיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainאֶת־הַסֵּפֶרet-has/SE/ferthe bookוְאֶת־דְּבָרָיוve/ET-de/va/RAYVand the words thereofלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERunto him whoלֹאlois notלָמַדla/MADlearnedוְאָמַרve/a/MARand shall sayהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹאlois notלָמַדla/MADlearnedלֹאloI am notלָמַדְתִּי׃la/MAD/tilearned

    Wherefore it shall come to pass, that the Lord God will deliver again the book and the words thereof to him that is not learned; and the man that is not learned shall say: I am not learned.

20. 20

    וְאָזve/AZthenיֹאמַרyo/MARshall sayיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto himהֶחָכָםhe/cha/KHAMthe learnedלֹאlonotיִקְרָאֵםyik/ra/EMshall he read themכִּיkiforמָאֲסוּma/a/SUthey rejectedבָםvamthemוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iיָכוֹלya/KHOLam ableלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doאֶת־מַעֲשַׂיet-ma/a/SAYmy own workלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeתִּקְרָאtik/RAyou shall readאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֶתֵּןet/TENI shall giveלָךְ׃lakhyou

    Then shall the Lord God say unto him: The learned shall not read them, for they have rejected them, and I am able to do mine own work; wherefore thou shalt read the words which I shall give unto thee.

21. 21

    אַל־תִּגַּעal-tig/GAtouch notבַּדְּבָרִיםbad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהַחֲתוּמִיםha/cha/tu/MIMwhich are sealedכִּיkiforאוֹצִיאֵםo/tsi/EMI will bring them forthבְּעִתִּיbe/it/TIin my own due timeכִּיkiforאַרְאֶהar/EI will showלִבְנֵי־הָאָדָםliv/NE-ha/a/DAMunto the children of menכִּיkithatיָכוֹלya/KHOLam ableאֲנִיa/NIIלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doאֶת־מַעֲשַׂי׃et-ma/a/SAYmy own work

    Touch not the things which are sealed, for I will bring them forth in mine own due time; for I will show unto the children of men that I am able to do mine own work.

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenקָרָאתָka/RA/tayou readאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichצִוִּיתִיךָtsiv/vi/TI/khaI commanded youוְהִשַּׂגְתָּve/his/sag/TAand you obtainedאֶת־הָעֵדִיםet-ha/e/DIMthe witnessesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהִבְטַחְתִּיhiv/tach/TII promisedלְךָle/KHAyouאָזazthenתַּחְתֹּםtach/TOMshall you seal upאֶת־הַסֵּפֶרet-has/SE/ferthe bookשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainוְתַצְפִּינֵהוּve/tats/pi/ne/HUand hide it upלִיliunto meלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאֶשְׁמֹרesh/MORI may preserveאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאloyou have notקָרָאתָka/RA/tareadעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERuntilאֶרְאֶהer/EI shall seeטוֹבtovfitבְּחׇכְמָתִיbe/chokh/ma/TIin my own wisdomלְגַלּוֹתle/gal/LOTto revealכׇּל־דָּבָרkol-da/VARall thingsלִבְנֵי־הָאָדָם׃liv/NE-ha/a/DAMunto the children of men

    Wherefore, when thou hast read the words which I have commanded thee, and obtained the witnesses which I have promised unto thee, then shalt thou seal up the book again, and hide it up unto me, that I may preserve the words which thou hast not read, until I shall see fit in mine own wisdom to reveal all things unto the children of men.

23. 23

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NII amאֵלelGodוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand I amאֵלelGodהַנִּפְלָאוֹתhan/nif/la/OTof miraclesוְאַרְאֶהve/ar/Eand I will showלָעוֹלָםla/o/LAMunto the worldכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amהוּאhuthe sameאֶתְמוֹלet/MOLyesterdayהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayוּלְעוֹלָםu/le/o/LAMand foreverוְלֹאve/LOand notאֶפְעַלef/ALI workבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revamongבְּנֵי־הָאָדָםbe/NE-ha/a/DAMthe children of menכִּי־אִםki-imsave it beלְפִיle/FIaccording toאֱמוּנָתָם׃e/mu/na/TAMtheir faith

    For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles; and I will show unto the world that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and I work not among the children of men save it be according to their faith.

24. 24

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beעוֹדodagainכִּיkithatיֹאמַרyo/MARshall sayיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERunto him whoיִקְרָאyik/RAshall readאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִנָּתְנוּyin/na/te/NUshall be deliveredלוֹ׃lounto him

    And again it shall come to pass that the Lord shall say unto him that shall read the words that shall be delivered him:

25. 25

    יַעַןYA/anforasmuch asכִּיkibecauseנִגְּשׁוּnig/ge/SHUdraw nearהָעָם־הַזֶּהha/AM-haz/ZEthis peopleבְּפִיהֶםbe/fi/HEMwith their mouthוּבְשִׂפְתֵיהֶםu/ve/sif/te/HEMand with their lipsכִּבְּדוּנִיkib/be/DU/nihonor meוְלִבָּםve/lib/BAMbut their heartsרִחֲקוּri/cha/KUremoved farמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/nifrom meוַתְּהִיvat/te/HIand isיִרְאָתָםyir/a/TAMtheir fear towardאֹתִיo/TImeמִצְוַתmits/VATby the preceptsאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMof menמְלֻמָּדָה׃me/lum/ma/DAis taught

    Forasmuch as this people draw near unto me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their hearts far from me, and their fear towards me is taught by the precepts of men—

26. 26

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאוֹסִיףo/SIFI will proceedלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doפֶּלֶאPE/lea marvelous workבָּעָםba/AMamong the peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאַףafyeaהַפְלֵאhaf/LEa marvelous workוָפֶלֶאva/FE/leand a wonderוְאָבְדָהve/a/ve/DAand shall perishחׇכְמַתchokh/MATthe wisdomחַכְמֵיהֶםchakh/me/HEMof their wiseוּמְלֻמְּדֵיהֶםu/me/lum/me/de/HEMand their learnedוּבִינַתu/vi/NATand the understandingנְבוֹנֵיהֶםne/vo/ne/HEMof their prudentתִּסְתַּתָּר׃tis/tat/TARshall be hid

    Therefore, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, yea, a marvelous work and a wonder, for the wisdom of their wise and learned shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent shall be hid.

27. 27

    וְאוֹיve/OYand wo untoלַמַּעֲמִיקִיםlam/ma/a/mi/KIMthem that seek deepלַסְתִּירlas/TIRto hideעֵצָהe/TSAtheir counselמֵיְהוָהme-Adonaifrom Adonaiוּמַעֲשֵׂיהֶםu/ma/a/se/HEMand their worksבַּמַּחְשָׁךְbam/mach/SHAKHare in the darkוְאָמְרוּve/a/me/RUand they sayמִיmiwhoרֹאֵנוּro/E/nusees usוּמִיu/MIand whoיוֹדְעֵנוּyod/E/nuknows usוְגַםve/GAMand alsoאָמְרוּa/me/RUthey sayאָכֵןa/KHENsurelyהַפְכְּכֶםhaf/ke/KHEMyour turning of things upside downכְּחֹמֶרke/CHO/meras the clayהַיֹּצֵרhay/yo/TSERof the potterיֵחָשֵׁבye/cha/SHEVshall be esteemedאַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאַרְאֶהar/EI will showלָהֶםla/HEMthemנְאֻם־יְהוָהne/UM-Adonaisaith AdonaiצְבָאוֹתTse/va/OTof Hostsכִּיkithatיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowאֶת־כׇּל־מַעֲשֵׂיהֶםet-kol-ma/a/se/HEMall their worksהֲיֹאמַרha/yo/MARshall sayמַעֲשֶׂהma/a/SEthe workלְעֹשֵׂהוּle/o/SE/huof him that made itלֹאlonotעָשָׂנִיa/SA/nihe made meאוֹoorיֹאמַרyo/MARshall sayיֵצֶרYE/tserthe thing framedלְיוֹצְרוֹle/yots/ROof him that framed itלֹאlohe had noהֵבִין׃he/VINunderstanding

    And wo unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord! And their works are in the dark; and they say: Who seeth us, and who knoweth us? And they also say: Surely, your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay. But behold, I will show unto them, saith the Lord of Hosts, that I know all their works. For shall the work say of him that made it, he made me not? Or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, he had no understanding?

28. 28

    אַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָמַרa/MARsaithיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiצְבָאוֹתTse/va/OTof Hostsאַרְאֶהar/EI will showלִבְנֵי־הָאָדָםliv/NE-ha/a/DAMunto the children of menכִּי־עוֹדki-odthat it is yetמְעַטme/ATa littleמִזְעָרmiz/ARa very little whileוְשָׁבve/SHAVand shall be turnedלְבָנוֹןLe/va/NONLebanonלְכַרְמֶלle/khar/MELinto a fruitful fieldוְהַכַּרְמֶלve/hak/kar/MELand the fruitful fieldלַיַּעַרlay/YA/aras a forestיֵחָשֵׁב׃ye/cha/SHEVshall be esteemed

    But behold, saith the Lord of Hosts: I will show unto the children of men that it is yet a very little while and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field; and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest.

29. 29

    וְשָׁמְעוּve/sha/me/Uand shall hearבַיּוֹם־הַהוּאvay/YOM-ha/HUin that dayהַחֵרְשִׁיםha/cher/SHIMthe deafדִּבְרֵי־סֵפֶרdiv/RE-SE/ferthe words of the bookוּמֵאֹפֶלu/me/O/feland out of obscurityוּמֵחֹשֶׁךְu/me/CHO/shekhand out of darknessעֵינֵיe/NEthe eyesעִוְרִיםiv/RIMof the blindתִּרְאֶינָה׃tir/E/nathey shall see

    And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness.

30. 30

    וְיָסְפוּve/ya/se/FUand shall increaseעֲנָוִיםa/na/VIMthe meekבַּיהוָהba-Adonaiin Adonaiשִׂמְחָהsim/CHAtheir joyוְאֶבְיוֹנֵיve/ev/yo/NEand the poor amongאָדָםa/DAMmenבִּקְדוֹשׁBik/DOSHin the Holy OneיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELof Israelיָגִילוּ׃ya/GI/lushall rejoice

    And the meek also shall increase, and their joy shall be in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

31. 31

    כִּי־אָכֵןki-a/KHENfor assuredlyחַי־יְהוָהchay-Adonaias Adonai livesיִרְאוּyir/Uthey shall seeכִּי־אָפֵסki-a/FESthat is brought to naughtעָרִיץa/RITSthe terrible oneוְכָלָהve/kha/LAand is consumedלֵץletsthe scornerוְנִכְרְתוּve/nikh/re/TUare cut offכׇּל־שֹׁקְדֵיkol-SHOK/deall that watch forאָוֶן׃A/veniniquity

    For assuredly as the Lord liveth they shall see that the terrible one is brought to naught, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off;

32. 32

    מַחֲטִיאֵיma/cha/ti/Ethey that make an offenderאָדָםa/DAMa manבְּדָבָרbe/da/VARfor a wordוְלַמּוֹכִיחַve/lam/mo/KHI/achand for him who reprovesבַּשַּׁעַרbash/SHA/arin the gateיְקֹשׁוּןye/ko/SHUNlay a snareוַיַּטּוּvay/yat/TUand turn asideבַתֹּהוּvat/TO/hufor a thing of naughtצַדִּיק׃tsad/DIKthe just

    And they that make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of naught.

33. 33

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saithיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoפָּדָהpa/DAredeemedאֶת־אַבְרָהָםet-Av/ra/HAMAbrahamאֶל־בֵּיתel-betconcerning the houseיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVof Jacobלֹא־עַתָּהlo-at/TAnot nowיֵבוֹשׁye/VOSHshall be ashamedיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobוְלֹא־עַתָּהve/LO-at/TAneither nowפָּנָיוpa/NAYVshall his faceיֶחֱוָרוּ׃ye/che/VA/ruwax pale

    Therefore, thus saith the Lord, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob: Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.

34. 34

    אַךְakhbutבִּרְאֹתוֹbir/o/TOwhen he seesיְלָדָיוye/la/DAYVhis childrenמַעֲשֵׂהma/a/SEthe workיָדַיya/DAYof my handsבְּקִרְבּוֹbe/kir/BOin the midst of himיַקְדִּישׁוּyak/DI/shuthey shall sanctifyשְׁמִיshe/MImy nameוְהִקְדִּישׁוּve/hik/DI/shuand sanctifyאֶת־קְדוֹשׁet-Ke/DOSHthe Holy OneיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVof Jacobוְאֶת־אֱלֹהֵיve/ET-e/lo/HEand the GodיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELof Israelיַעֲרִיצוּ׃ya/a/RI/tsushall fear

    But when he seeth his children, the work of my hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.

35. 35

    וְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Ushall come toתֹעֵי־רוּחַto/E-RU/achthey also that erred in spiritבִּינָהbi/NAunderstandingוְרוֹגְנִיםve/rog/NIMand they who murmuredיִלְמְדוּ־לֶקַח׃yil/me/DU-LE/kachshall learn doctrine

    They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.
