   For behold, I say unto you that I have beheld that many generations shall pass away, and there shall be great wars and contentions among my people.

   And after the Messiah shall come there shall be signs given unto my people of his birth, and also of his death and resurrection; and great and terrible shall that day be unto the wicked, for they shall perish; and they perish because they cast out the prophets, and the saints, and stone them, and slay them; wherefore the cry of the blood of the saints shall ascend up to God from the ground against them.

   לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeכׇּל־הַגֵּאִיםkol-hag/ge/IMall who are proudוְעֹשֵׂיve/o/SEand that doרֶשַׁעRE/shawickedlyיִשְׂרְפֵםyis/re/FEMshall burn them upהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַבָּאhab/BAthat comesנְאֻם־יְהוָהne/UM-Adonaisaith AdonaiצְבָאוֹתTse/va/OTof Hostsכִּיkiforיִהְיוּyih/YUthey shall beכַקַּשׁ׃khak/KASHas stubble

   Wherefore, all those who are proud, and that do wickedly, the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of Hosts, for they shall be as stubble.

   וְהֹרְגֵיve/hor/GEand those who killהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMthe prophetsוְהַקְּדוֹשִׁיםve/hak/ke/do/SHIMand the saintsתִּבְלָעֵםtiv/la/EMshall swallow them upתְּהוֹםte/HOMthe depthsהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthנְאֻם־יְהוָהne/UM-Adonaisaith AdonaiצְבָאוֹתTse/va/OTof Hostsוִיכַסּוּםvi/khas/SUMand shall cover themהָרִיםha/RIMmountainsוְסוּפוֹתve/su/FOTand whirlwindsיִשָּׂאוּםyis/sa/UMshall carry them awayוּבִנְיָנִיםu/vin/ya/NIMand buildingsיִפְּלוּyip/pe/LUshall fallעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themוְדִכְּאוּםve/dik/ke/UMand crush themלִרְסִיסִיםlir/si/SIMto piecesוְיִטְחָנוּםve/yit/cha/NUMand grind themלְאָבָק׃le/a/VAKto powder

   And they that kill the prophets, and the saints, the depths of the earth shall swallow them up, saith the Lord of Hosts; and mountains shall cover them, and whirlwinds shall carry them away, and buildings shall fall upon them and crush them to pieces and grind them to powder.

   וְנִפְקְדוּve/nif/ke/DUand they shall be visitedבִּרְעָמִיםbir/a/MIMwith thunderingsוּבְרָקִיםu/ve/ra/KIMand lightningsוּרְעָשִׁיםu/re/a/SHIMand earthquakesוְכׇל־מִינֵיve/KHOL-mi/NEand all mannerחֳרָבוֹתcho/ra/VOTof destructionsכִּיkiforתִבְעַרtiv/ARshall be kindledאֵשׁeshthe fireחֲרוֹןcha/RONof the angerיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiבָּםbamagainst themוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand they shall beכַקַּשׁkhak/KASHas stubbleיְכַלֵּםye/khal/LEMshall consume themהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַבָּאhab/BAthat comesנְאֻם־יְהוָהne/UM-Adonaisaith Adonaiצְבָאוֹת׃Tse/va/OTof Hosts

   And they shall be visited with thunderings, and lightnings, and earthquakes, and all manner of destructions, for the fire of the anger of the Lord shall be kindled against them, and they shall be as stubble, and the day that cometh shall consume them, saith the Lord of Hosts.

   O the pain, and the anguish of my soul for the loss of the slain of my people! For I, Nephi, have seen it, and it well nigh consumeth me before the presence of the Lord; but I must cry unto my God: Thy ways are just.

   אַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַצַּדִּיקִיםhats/tsad/di/KIMthe righteousהַמַּקְשִׁיבִיםham/mak/shi/VIMthat hearkenלְדִבְרֵיle/div/REunto the wordsהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMof the prophetsוְלֹאve/LOand notיַשְׁחִיתוּםyash/chi/TUMdestroy themכִּי־אִםki-imbutמְצַפִּיםme/tsap/PIMlook forwardלַמָּשִׁיחַlam/Ma/SHI/achunto Christבְּלֵב־נָכוֹןbe/LEV-na/KHONwith steadfastnessלָאוֹתוֹתla/o/TOTfor the signsהַנִּתָּנִיםhan/nit/ta/NIMwhich are givenעַלalnotwithstandingכׇּל־רְדִיפָהkol-re/di/FAall persecutionהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהֵםhemthey are theyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאlonotיֹאבֵדוּ׃yo/VE/duthey shall perish

   But behold, the righteous that hearken unto the words of the prophets, and destroy them not, but look forward unto Christ with steadfastness for the signs which are given, notwithstanding all persecution—behold, they are they which shall not perish.

   אַךְakhbutיֵרָאֶהye/ra/Eshall appearבֶּן־צְדָקָה־לָהֶםben-Tse/da/KA-la/HEMthe Son of Righteousnessוְרָפָאve/RA/faand he shall healאוֹתָםo/TAMthemוְהָיָה־לָהֶםve/ha/YA-la/HEMand they shall haveשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceעִמּוֹim/MOwith himעַדaduntilעֲבֹרa/VORshall have passed awayשְׁלֹשָׁהshe/lo/SHAthreeדוֹרוֹתdo/ROTgenerationsוְיַעַבְרוּve/ya/av/RUand shall have passed awayרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyמִן־הַדּוֹרmin-had/DORof the generationהָרְבִיעִיha/re/vi/Ithe fourthבִּצְדָקָה׃bits/da/KAin righteousness

   But the Son of Righteousness shall appear unto them; and he shall heal them, and they shall have peace with him, until three generations shall have passed away, and many of the fourth generation shall have passed away in righteousness.

    וְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterעֲבֹרa/VORthe passingהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMof the thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeשֶׁבֶרSHE/verdestructionמַהֵרma/HERa speedyעַל־עַמִּיal-am/MIunto my peopleכִּיkiforעַלalnotwithstandingמַכְאוֹבmakh/OVthe painsנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHIof my soulרָאִיתִיra/I/tiI saw itלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowכִּיkithatהָיֹהha/YOit shallיִהְיֶהyih/YEbeוְהִתְמַכְּרוּve/hit/mak/ke/RUand sold themselvesחִנָּםchin/NAMfor naughtכִּיkiforבִגְמוּלvig/MULas the rewardגַּאֲוָתָםga/a/va/TAMof their prideוְסִכְלוּתָםve/sikh/lu/TAMand their foolishnessיִקְצְרוּyik/tse/RUthey shall reapשֶׁבֶרSHE/verdestructionכִּיkiforנִכְנְעוּnikh/ne/Uthey yieldלַשָּׂטָןlas/sa/TANto the devilוַיִּבְחֲרוּvay/yiv/cha/RUand choseמַעֲשֵׂיma/a/SEworksחֹשֶׁךְCHO/shekhof darknessמֵאוֹרme/ORrather than lightלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeיָרֹדya/RODmustיֵרְדוּyer/DUthey go downשְׁאוֹלָה׃she/O/lato hell

    And when these things have passed away a speedy destruction cometh unto my people; for, notwithstanding the pains of my soul, I have seen it; wherefore, I know that it shall come to pass; and they sell themselves for naught; for, for the reward of their pride and their foolishness they shall reap destruction; for because they yield unto the devil and choose works of darkness rather than light, therefore they must go down to hell.

11. 11

    כִּי־לֹאki-lofor notיָדוֹןya/DONwill striveרוּחַRU/achthe SpiritיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiעִם־הָאָדָםim-ha/a/DAMwith manלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverוְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand whenיֶחְדַּלyech/DALceasesלָרִיבla/RIVto striveעִמּוֹim/MOwith himאָזazthenיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeשֶׁבֶרSHE/verdestructionמַהֵרma/HERspeedyוְזֶהve/ZEand thisמַכְאִיבmakh/IVgrievesנַפְשִׁי׃naf/SHImy soul

    For the Spirit of the Lord will not always strive with man. And when the Spirit ceaseth to strive with man then cometh speedy destruction, and this grieveth my soul.

12. 12

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand asדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI spokeעַל־הוֹכָחַתal-ho/kha/CHATconcerning the convincingהַיְּהוּדִיםhay/Ye/hu/DIMof the JewsכִּיkithatיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהוּאhuisהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Christהָיֹהha/YOit must needsיִהְיֶהyih/YEbeכִּיkithatיוּכְחוּyukh/CHUbe convincedגַּםgamalsoהַגּוֹיִםhag/Go/YIMthe GentilesכִּיkithatיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהוּאhuisהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe ChristאֵלelGodעוֹלָם׃O/LAMthe Eternal

    And as I spake concerning the convincing of the Jews, that Jesus is the very Christ, it must needs be that the Gentiles be convinced also that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God;

13. 13

    וְיִתְגַּלֶּהve/yit/gal/LEand shall manifest himselfלְכׇל־הַמַּאֲמִינִיםle/KHOL-ham/ma/a/mi/NIMunto all who believeבּוֹboin himבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achby the powerרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁRU/ach-Hak/KO/deshof the Holy Ghostאַףafyeaלְכׇל־גּוֹיle/KHOL-goyunto every nationוּמִשְׁפָּחָהu/mish/pa/CHAand kindredוְלָשׁוֹןve/la/SHONand tongueוָעָםva/AMand peopleעֹשֶׂהo/SEworkingנִפְלָאוֹתnif/la/OTmiraclesגְּדוֹלוֹתge/do/LOTmightyוְאוֹתוֹתve/o/TOTand signsוּמוֹפְתִיםu/mof/TIMand wondersבִּבְנֵיbiv/NEamong the childrenהָאָדָםha/a/DAMof menכְּפִיke/FIaccording toאֱמוּנָתָם׃e/mu/na/TAMtheir faith

    And that he manifesteth himself unto all those who believe in him, by the power of the Holy Ghost; yea, unto every nation, kindred, tongue, and people, working mighty miracles, signs, and wonders, among the children of men according to their faith.

14. 14

    אַךְakhbutהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iנִבָּאnib/BAprophesyלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youעַל־הַיָּמִיםal-hay/ya/MIMconcerning the daysהָאַחֲרוֹנִיםha/a/cha/ro/NIMlastעַל־הַיָּמִיםal-hay/ya/MIMconcerning the daysאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenיוֹצִיאyo/TSIshall bring forthיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseלִבְנֵי־הָאָדָם׃liv/NE-ha/a/DAMunto the children of men

    But behold, I prophesy unto you concerning the last days; concerning the days when the Lord God shall bring these things forth unto the children of men.

15. 15

    אַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterדְּעֹךְde/OKHshall have dwindledזַרְעִיzar/Imy seedוְזֶרַעve/ZE/raand the seedאַחַיa/CHAYof my brethrenבְּאֵיןbe/ENwithoutאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithוְהֻכּוּve/huk/KUand shall have been smittenבִּידֵיbi/DEby the handsהַגּוֹיִםhag/Go/YIMof the Gentilesאַףafyeaאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterחֲנוֹתcha/NOTshall have campedיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMagainst themמִסָּבִיבmis/sa/VIVround aboutוְצָרve/TSARand shall have laid siegeעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMagainst themבְּמֻצָּבbe/muts/TSAVwith a mountוְהֵקִיםve/he/KIMand raisedעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMagainst themמְצֻרוֹתme/tsu/ROTfortsוְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterהוּרְדָםhur/DAMthey are brought downשָׁפָלsha/FALlowבֶּעָפָרbe/a/FARin the dustעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERuntilאֵינָםe/NAMthey are no moreאַךְakhyetיִכָּתְבוּyik/ka/te/VUshall be writtenדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe wordsהַצַּדִּיקִיםhats/tsad/di/KIMof the righteousוְתִשָּׁמַעְנָהve/tish/sha/ma/NAand shall be heardתְּפִלּוֹתte/fil/LOTthe prayersהַנֶּאֱמָנִיםhan/ne/e/ma/NIMof the faithfulוְכׇל־הַדֹּעֲכִיםve/KHOL-had/do/a/KHIMand all who dwindledבְּאֵיןbe/ENwithoutאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithלֹאlonotיִשָּׁכְחוּ׃yish/sha/khe/CHUshall they be forgotten

    After my seed and the seed of my brethren shall have dwindled in unbelief, and shall have been smitten by the Gentiles; yea, after the Lord God shall have camped against them round about, and shall have laid siege against them with a mount, and raised forts against them; and after they shall have been brought down low in the dust, even that they are not, yet the words of the righteous shall be written, and the prayers of the faithful shall be heard, and all those who have dwindled in unbelief shall not be forgotten.

    כִּיkiforיְדַבְּרוּye/dab/be/RUthey shall speakהַנִּשְׁמָדִיםhan/nish/ma/DIMthose who shall be destroyedאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themמִן־הָאֲדָמָהmin-ha/a/da/MAout of the groundוְיִשְׁפַּלve/yish/PALand shall be lowשִׂיחָםsi/CHAMtheir speechמִן־הֶעָפָרmin-he/a/FARout of the dustוְקוֹלָםve/ko/LAMand their voiceכְּבַעַל־אוֹבke/VA/al-ovas one who has a familiar spiritכִּיkiforיִתֵּןyit/TENshall giveיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלוֹlounto himכֹּחַKO/achpowerלְלַחֵשׁle/la/CHESHto whisperעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMconcerning themכְּמוֹke/MOeven as it wereמִן־הָאֲדָמָהmin-ha/a/da/MAout of the groundוְיִלְחַשׁve/yil/CHASHand shall whisperשִׂיחָםsi/CHAMtheir speechמִן־הֶעָפָר׃min-he/a/FARout of the dust

    For those who shall be destroyed shall speak unto them out of the ground, and their speech shall be low out of the dust, and their voice shall be as one that hath a familiar spirit; for the Lord God will give unto him power, that he may whisper concerning them, even as it were out of the ground; and their speech shall whisper out of the dust.

    כִּי־כֹהki-khofor thusאָמַרa/MARsaithיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodיִכְתְּבוּyikh/te/VUthey shall writeהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיֵעָשׂוּye/a/SUshall be doneבְתוֹכָםve/to/KHAMamong themוְנִכְתְּבוּve/nikh/te/VUand they shall be writtenוְנֶחְתְּמוּve/nech/te/MUand sealed upבְּסֵפֶרbe/SE/ferin a bookוְהַדֹּעֲכִיםve/had/do/a/KHIMand those who dwindledבְּאֵיןbe/ENwithoutאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithלֹא־יִהְיוּlo-yih/YUshall not haveלָהֶםla/HEMthemכִּיkiforמְבַקְשִׁיםme/vak/SHIMthey seekלְהַשְׁחִיתle/hash/CHITto destroyדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe thingsאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMof God

    For thus saith the Lord God: They shall write the things which shall be done among them, and they shall be written and sealed up in a book, and those who have dwindled in unbelief shall not have them, for they seek to destroy the things of God.

18. 18

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasנִשְׁמְדוּnish/me/DUhave been destroyedהַנִּשְׁמָדִיםhan/nish/ma/DIMthose who have been destroyedמַהֵרma/HERspeedilyוַהֲמוֹןva/ha/MONand the multitudeעָרִיצֵיהֶםa/ri/tse/HEMof their terrible onesכְּמוֹץke/MOTSas chaffעֹבֵרo/VERthat passes awayאַףafyeaכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saithיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוְהָיָהve/ha/YAit shall beכְרֶגַעkhe/RE/gaat an instantפִּתְאֹם׃pit/OMsuddenly

    Wherefore, as those who have been destroyed have been destroyed speedily; and the multitude of their terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away—yea, thus saith the Lord God: It shall be at an instant, suddenly—

19. 19

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beכִּיkithatיֻכּוּyuk/KUthey shall be smittenהַדֹּעֲכִיםhad/do/a/KHIMthose who dwindledבְּאֵיןbe/ENwithoutאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithבְּיַדbe/YADby the handהַגּוֹיִם׃hag/Go/YIMof the Gentiles

    And it shall come to pass, that those who have dwindled in unbelief shall be smitten by the hand of the Gentiles.

    וְהַגּוֹיִםve/hag/Go/YIMand the Gentilesנִשָּׂאִיםnis/sa/IMare lifted upבְּגַאֲוַתbe/ga/a/VATin the prideעֵינֵיהֶםe/ne/HEMof their eyesוְכָשְׁלוּve/kha/she/LUand stumbledמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofגֹּדֶלGO/delthe greatnessמִכְשׁוֹלָםmikh/sho/LAMof their stumbling blockכִּיkithatבָנוּVA/nuthey built upקְהִלּוֹתke/hil/LOTchurchesרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyאַךְakhneverthelessיַשְׁפִּילוּyash/pi/LUthey put downכֹּחַKO/achthe powerאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godוְנִפְלְאוֹתָיוve/nif/le/o/TAYVand his miraclesוּמַטִּיפִיםu/mat/ti/FIMand preach upלְנַפְשָׁםle/naf/SHAMunto themselvesחׇכְמָתָםchokh/ma/TAMtheir own wisdomוְלִמּוּדָםve/lim/mu/DAMand their own learningלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatבֶּצַעBE/tsathey may get gainוְלִטְחֹןve/lit/CHONand to grindפְּנֵיpe/NEthe faceהָעֲנִיִּים׃ha/a/niy/YIMof the poor

    And the Gentiles are lifted up in the pride of their eyes, and have stumbled, because of the greatness of their stumbling block, that they have built up many churches; nevertheless, they put down the power and miracles of God, and preach up unto themselves their own wisdom and their own learning, that they may get gain and grind upon the face of the poor.

21. 21

    וְיֵשׁve/YESHand there areקְהִלּוֹתke/hil/LOTchurchesרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyהַמְּבִיאוֹתham/me/vi/OTwhich causeקִנְאוֹתkin/OTenvyingsוּמְרִיבוֹתu/me/ri/VOTand strifesוְשִׂנְאָה׃ve/sin/Aand malice

    And there are many churches built up which cause envyings, and strifes, and malice.

22. 22

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoקִשְׁרֵיkish/REcombinationsסֵתֶרSE/tersecretאַףafevenכִּימֵיki/MEas in timesקֶדֶםKE/demof oldכְּקִשְׁרֵיke/kish/REaccording to the combinationsהַשָּׂטָןhas/sa/TANof the devilכִּי־הוּאki-hufor he isיוֹסֵדyo/SEDthe founderכׇּל־אֵלֶּהkol-EL/leof all these thingsאַףafyeaיוֹסֵדyo/SEDthe founderהָרֶצַחha/RE/tsachof murderוּמַעֲשֵׂיu/ma/a/SEand worksחֹשֶׁךְCHO/shekhof darknessוְאַףve/AFyea andמוֹלִיכָםmo/li/KHAMhe leads themבְּצַוָּארָםbe/tsav/va/RAMby their necksבְּחֶבֶלbe/CHE/velwith a cordפִּשְׁתִּיםpish/TIMof flaxעַדaduntilאֱסֹרe/SORhe bindsאוֹתָםo/TAMthemבַּחֲבָלָיוba/cha/va/LAYVwith his cordsהַחֲזָקִיםha/cha/za/KIMthe strongלְעוֹלָם׃le/o/LAMforever

    And there are also secret combinations, even as in times of old, according to the combinations of the devil, for he is the founder of all these things; yea, the founder of murder, and works of darkness; yea, and he leadeth them by the neck with a flaxen cord, until he bindeth them with his strong cords forever.

23. 23

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאַחַיa/CHAYmy brethrenהָאֲהוּבִיםha/a/hu/VIMbelovedאֹמַרo/MARI sayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youכִּי־לֹאki-lothat notיִפְעַלyif/ALworksיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodבַּחֹשֶׁךְ׃ba/CHO/shekhin darkness

    For behold, my beloved brethren, I say unto you that the Lord God worketh not in darkness.

24. 24

    לֹאlonotיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEhe doesדָבָרda/VARanythingכִּי־אִםki-imsave it beלְטוֹבַתle/to/VATfor the benefitהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMof the worldכִּיkiforאֹהֵבo/HEVlovesהוּאhuheאֶת־הָעוֹלָםet-ha/o/LAMthe worldאַףafevenעַד־כִּיad-kithatיִתֵּןyit/TENhe lays downאֶת־נַפְשׁוֹet-naf/SHOhis own lifeלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִמְשֹׁךְyim/SHOKHhe may drawכׇּל־אָדָםkol-a/DAMall menאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto himלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeלֹא־יְצַוֶּהlo-ye/tsav/VEhe commands notלְאִישׁle/ISHanyלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TInot toלָקַחַתla/KA/chatpartakeמִיְּשׁוּעָתוֹ׃miy/ye/shu/a/TOof his salvation

    He doeth not anything save it be for the benefit of the world; for he loveth the world, even that he layeth down his own life that he may draw all men unto him. Wherefore, he commandeth none that they shall not partake of his salvation.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהֲיִקְרָאha/yik/RAdoes he cryלְאִישׁle/ISHunto anyלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingסוּרsurdepartמֵעָלַיme/a/LAYfrom meהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֹמַרo/MARI sayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלֹאlonoכִּי־אִםki-imbutיֹאמַרyo/MARhe saithבֹּאוּBO/ucomeאֵלַיe/LAYunto meכׇּל־אַפְסֵיkol-af/SEall you endsאָרֶץA/retsof the earthקְנוּke/NUbuyחָלָבcha/LAVmilkוּדְבַשׁu/de/VASHand honeyבְּלֹאbe/LOwithoutכֶסֶףKHE/sefmoneyוּבְלֹאu/ve/LOand withoutמְחִיר׃me/CHIRprice

    Behold, doth he cry unto any, saying: Depart from me? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; but he saith: Come unto me all ye ends of the earth, buy milk and honey, without money and without price.

26. 26

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהֲצִוָּהha/tsiv/VAhas he commandedאִישׁishanyלָצֵאתla/TSETthat they should departמִבָּתֵּי־קָהָלmib/bat/TE-ka/HALout of the synagoguesאוֹoorמִבָּתֵּיmib/bat/TEout of the housesמִקְדָּשׁmik/DASHof worshipהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֹמַרo/MARI sayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלֹא׃lono

    Behold, hath he commanded any that they should depart out of the synagogues, or out of the houses of worship? Behold, I say unto you, Nay.

27. 27

    הֲצִוָּהha/tsiv/VAhas he commandedאִישׁishanyלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TInot toלָקַחַתla/KA/chatpartakeמִיְּשׁוּעָתוֹmiy/ye/shu/a/TOof his salvationהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֹמַרo/MARI sayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלֹאlonoכִּיkiforנְתָנָהּne/ta/NAhe gave itחִנָּםchin/NAMfreeלְכׇל־אָדָםle/KHOL-a/DAMunto all menוְצִוָּהve/tsiv/VAand he commandedעַמּוֹam/MOhis peopleלְהַטּוֹתle/hat/TOTthat they should persuadeכׇּל־אָדָםkol-a/DAMall menלִתְשׁוּבָה׃lit/shu/VAto repentance

    Hath he commanded any that they should not partake of his salvation? Behold I say unto you, Nay; but he hath given it free for all men; and he hath commanded his people that they should persuade all men to repentance.

28. 28

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהֲצִוָּהha/tsiv/VAcommandedיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאִישׁishanyלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TInot toלָקַחַתla/KA/chatpartake ofמִטּוּבוֹmit/tu/VOfrom his goodnessהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֹמַרo/MARI sayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלֹאlonoכִּיkiforלְכׇל־אָדָםle/KHOL-a/DAMto all menהַמִּשְׁפָּטham/mish/PATthe privilegeאִישׁishoneכְּרֵעֵהוּke/re/E/hulike unto the otherוְאֵיןve/ENand noneמָנוּעַ׃ma/NU/aare forbidden

    Behold, hath the Lord commanded any that they should not partake of his goodness? Behold I say unto you, Nay; but all men are privileged the one like unto the other, and none are forbidden.

29. 29

    צִוָּהtsiv/VAhe commandsכִּי־לֹאki-lothat notתִהְיֶהtih/YEbeכְּהֻנַּת־שָׁוְאke/hun/NAT-shavpriestcraftsכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdכְּהֻנַּת־שָׁוְאke/hun/NAT-shavpriestcraftsהִיאhiareאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיַטִּיפוּyat/ti/FUpreachאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenוְיָשִׂימוּve/ya/SI/muand set upאֶת־נַפְשָׁםet-naf/SHAMthemselvesלְאוֹרle/ORfor a lightלָעוֹלָםla/o/LAMto the worldלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatבֶּצַעBE/tsathey may get gainוּתְהִלַּתu/te/hil/LATand the praiseהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMof the worldאַךְakhbutלֹאlonotיִדְרְשׁוּyid/re/SHUthey seekטוֹבַתto/VATthe welfareצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONof Zion

    He commandeth that there shall be no priestcrafts; for, behold, priestcrafts are that men preach and set themselves up for a light unto the world, that they may get gain and praise of the world; but they seek not the welfare of Zion.

30. 30

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָסַרa/SARforbadeיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiזֹאתzotthis thingלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeנָתַןna/TANgaveיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodמִצְוָהmits/VAa commandmentכִּיkithatיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beלְכׇל־אָדָםle/KHOL-a/DAMunto all menחֶסֶדCHE/sedcharityוְהַחֶסֶדve/ha/CHE/sedwhich charityהוּאhuisאַהֲבָהa/ha/VAloveוּבִלְתִּיu/vil/TIand exceptאִם־יִהְיֶה־לָהֶםim-yih/YE-la/HEMthey should haveחֶסֶדCHE/sedcharityאַיִןA/yinnothingהֵמָּהHEM/mathey areלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאִם־יֵשׁim-yeshif should haveלָהֶםla/HEMunto themחֶסֶדCHE/sedcharityלֹאlonotיַנִּיחוּyan/NI/chuthey would sufferהָעֹבֵדha/o/VEDthe laborerבְּצִיּוֹןbe/Tsiy/YONin Zionלַאֲבֹד׃la/a/VODto perish

    Behold, the Lord hath forbidden this thing; wherefore, the Lord God hath given a commandment that all men should have charity, which charity is love. And except they should have charity they were nothing. Wherefore, if they should have charity they would not suffer the laborer in Zion to perish.

31. 31

    אַךְakhbutיַעֲבֹדya/a/VODshall laborהָעֹבֵדha/o/VEDthe laborerבְּצִיּוֹןbe/Tsiy/YONin Zionלְמַעַןle/MA/anforצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONZionכִּי־אִםki-imfor ifיַעַבְדוּya/av/DUthey shall laborלְמַעַןle/MA/anforכֶּסֶףKE/sefmoneyיֹאבֵדוּ׃yo/VE/duthey shall perish

    But the laborer in Zion shall labor for Zion; for if they labor for money they shall perish.

32. 32

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodכִּי־לֹאki-lonot toיִרְצְחוּyir/tse/CHUmurderכִּי־לֹאki-lonot toיְכַזְּבוּye/khaz/ze/VUlieכִּי־לֹאki-lonot toיִגְנֹבוּyig/no/VUstealכִּי־לֹאki-lonot toיִשָּׂאוּyis/SA/utakeשֵׁםshemthe nameיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiאֱלֹהֵיהֶםe/lo/he/HEMtheir Godלַשָּׁוְאlash/SHAVin vainכִּי־לֹאki-lonot toיְקַנְּאוּye/kan/ne/Uenvyכִּי־לֹאki-lonot toתִהְיֶהtih/YEbeלָהֶםla/HEMunto themשִׂנְאָהsin/Amaliceכִּי־לֹאki-lonot toיָרִיבוּya/ri/VUcontendאִישׁishoneבְּרֵעֵהוּbe/re/E/huwith anotherכִּי־לֹאki-lonot toיִזְנוּyiz/NUcommit whoredomsוְכִי־לֹאve/KHI-loand not toיַעֲשׂוּya/a/SUdoכׇל־אֵלֶּהkhol-EL/leany of these thingsכִּי־יֹאבַדki-yo/VADfor shall perishכׇּל־הָעֹשֶׂה׃kol-ha/o/SEwhoso does them

    And again, the Lord God hath commanded that men should not murder; that they should not lie; that they should not steal; that they should not take the name of the Lord their God in vain; that they should not envy; that they should not have malice; that they should not contend one with another; that they should not commit whoredoms; and that they should do none of these things; for whoso doeth them shall perish.

33. 33

    כִּיkiforאֵיןenthere is noאַחַתa/CHAToneמֵהָרָעוֹתme/ha/ra/OTof iniquitiesהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseבָּאָהba/Acomeמֵאֵתme/ETfromיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiכִּיkiforעֹשֶׂהo/SEhe doesהַטּוֹבhat/TOVthat which is goodבִּבְנֵיbiv/NEamong the childrenהָאָדָםha/a/DAMof menוְלֹאve/LOand notיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEhe doesדָבָרda/VARnothingבִּלְתִּיbil/TIsaveאִם־בָּרוּרim-ba/RURit be plainלִבְנֵי־הָאָדָםliv/NE-ha/a/DAMunto the children of menוְקֹרֵאve/ko/REand he invitesלְכֻלָּםle/khul/LAMthem allלָבוֹאla/VOto comeאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto himוְלָקַחַתve/la/KA/chatand partake ofמִטּוּבוֹmit/tu/VOfrom his goodnessוְלֹאve/LOand notיִמְנַעyim/NAhe deniesמֵאִישׁme/ISHnoneהַבָּאhab/BAthat comesאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto himשָׁחוֹרsha/CHORblackוְלָבָןve/la/VANand whiteעֶבֶדE/vedbondוְחׇפְשִׁיve/chof/SHIand freeזָכָרza/KHARmaleוּנְקֵבָהu/ne/ke/VAand femaleוְזוֹכֵרve/zo/KHERand he remembersהַגּוֹיִםhag/go/YIMthe heathenוְהַכֹּלve/hak/KOLand allשָׁוִיםsha/VIMare alikeלִפְנֵיlif/NEuntoאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodגַּם־יְהוּדִיgam-Ye/hu/DIboth Jewוְגַם־גּוֹי׃ve/GAM-goyand Gentile

    For none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile.
