1. 1

   וְיָצָאve/ya/TSAand shall come forthחֹטֶרCHO/tera rodמִגֵּזַעmig/GE/zaout of the stemיִשָׁיYi/SHAYof Jesseוְנֵצֶרve/NE/tserand a branchמִשׇּׁרָשָׁיוmish/sho/ra/SHAYVfrom his rootsיִפְרֶה׃yif/REshall grow

   And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots.

2. 2

   וְנָחָהve/na/CHAand shall restעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himרוּחַRU/achthe SpiritיְהוָהAdonaiof AdonaiרוּחַRU/achthe spiritחׇכְמָהchokh/MAof wisdomוּבִינָהu/vi/NAand understandingרוּחַRU/achthe spiritעֵצָהe/TSAof counselוּגְבוּרָהu/ge/vu/RAand mightרוּחַRU/achthe spiritדַּעַתDA/atof knowledgeוְיִרְאַתve/yir/ATand of the fearיְהוָה׃Adonaiof Adonai

   And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

3. 3

   וַהֲרִיחוֹva/ha/ri/CHOand shall make him of quick understandingבְּיִרְאַתbe/yir/ATin the fearיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiוְלֹא־לְמַרְאֵהve/LO-le/mar/Eand not after the sightעֵינָיוe/NAYVof his eyesיִשְׁפּוֹטyish/POTshall he judgeוְלֹא־לְמִשְׁמַעve/LO-le/mish/MAneither after the hearingאׇזְנָיוoz/NAYVof his earsיוֹכִיחַ׃yo/KHI/achshall he reprove

   And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears.

4. 4

   וְשָׁפַטve/sha/FATand he shall judgeבְּצֶדֶקbe/TSE/dekwith righteousnessדַּלִּיםdal/LIMthe poorוְהוֹכִיחַve/ho/KHI/achand shall reproveבְּמִישׁוֹרbe/mi/SHORwith equityלְעַנְוֵי־אָרֶץle/an/VE-A/retsfor the meek of the earthוְהִכָּה־אֶרֶץve/hik/KA-E/retsand he shall smite the earthבְּשֵׁבֶטbe/SHE/vetwith the rodפִּיוpivof his mouthוּבְרוּחַu/ve/RU/achand with the breathשְׂפָתָיוse/fa/TAYVof his lipsיָמִיתya/MITshall he slayרָשָׁע׃ra/SHAthe wicked

   But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand shall beצֶדֶקTSE/dekrighteousnessאֵזוֹרe/ZORthe girdleמׇתְנָיוmot/NAYVof his loinsוְהָאֱמוּנָהve/ha/e/mu/NAand faithfulnessאֵזוֹרe/ZORthe girdleחֲלָצָיו׃cha/la/TSAYVof his reins

   And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

6. 6

   וְגָרve/GARalso shall dwellזְאֵבze/EVthe wolfעִם־כֶּבֶשׂim-KE/veswith the lambוְנָמֵרve/na/MERand the leopardעִם־גְּדִיim-ge/DIwith the kidיִרְבָּץyir/BATSshall lie downוְעֵגֶלve/E/geland the calfוּכְפִירu/khe/FIRand the young lionוּמְרִיאu/me/RIand fatlingיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherוְנַעַרve/NA/arand a childקָטֹןka/TONlittleנֹהֵגno/HEGshall leadבָּם׃bamthem

   The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the calf and the young lion and fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

   וּפָרָהu/fa/RAand the cowוָדֹבva/DOVand the bearתִּרְעֶינָהtir/E/nashall feedיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherיִרְבְּצוּyir/be/TSUshall lie downיַלְדֵיהֶןyal/de/HENtheir young onesוְאַרְיֵהve/ar/YEand the lionכַּבָּקָרkab/ba/KARlike the oxיֹאכַל־תֶּבֶן׃yo/KHAL-TE/venshall eat straw

   And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

8. 8

   וְשִׁעֲשַׁעve/shi/a/SHAand shall playיוֹנֵקyo/NEKthe sucking childעַל־חֻרal-churon the holeפָּתֶןPA/tenof the aspוְעַל־מְאוּרַתve/AL-me/u/RATand on the denצִפְעוֹנִיtsif/o/NIof the cockatrice'sגָּמוּלga/MULthe weaned childיָדוֹya/DOhis handהָדָה׃ha/DAshall put

   And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’s den.

9. 9

   לֹא־יָרֵעוּlo-ya/RE/uthey shall not hurtוְלֹא־יַשְׁחִיתוּve/LO-yash/CHI/tunor destroyבְּכׇל־הַרbe/KHOL-harin all mountainקׇדְשִׁיkod/SHImy holyכִּי־מָלְאָהki-ma/le/Afor shall be fullהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthדֵּעָהde/Aof the knowledgeאֶת־יְהוָהet-Adonaiof Adonaiכַּמַּיִםkam/MA/yimas the watersלַיָּםlay/YAMthe seaמְכַסִּים׃me/khas/SIMcover

   They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

10. 10

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand there shall beבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatשֹׁרֶשׁSHO/resha rootיִשַׁיYi/SHAYof Jesseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעֹמֵדo/MEDshall standלְנֵסle/NESfor an ensignעַמִּיםam/MIMof the peopleאֵלָיוe/LAYVto itגּוֹיִםGo/YIMthe Gentilesיִדְרֹשׁוּyid/RO/shushall seekוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand shall beמְנֻחָתוֹme/nu/cha/TOhis restכָּבוֹד׃ka/VODglorious

    And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek; and his rest shall be glorious.

11. 11

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatיוֹסִיףyo/SIFshall set againאֲדֹנָיA/do/NAYAdonaiשֵׁנִיתshe/NITthe second timeיָדוֹya/DOhis handלִקְנוֹתlik/NOTto recoverאֶת־שְׁאָרet-she/ARthe remnantעַמּוֹam/MOof his peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִשָּׁאֵרyish/sha/ERshall be leftמֵאַשּׁוּרme/Ash/SHURfrom Assyriaוּמִמִּצְרַיִםu/Mim/mits/RA/yimand from Egyptוּמִפַּתְרוֹסu/Mip/pat/ROSand from Pathrosוּמִכּוּשׁu/Mik/KUSHand from Cushוּמֵעֵילָםu/Me/e/LAMand from Elamוּמִשִּׁנְעָרu/Mish/shin/ARand from Shinarוּמֵחֲמָתu/Me/cha/MATand from Hamathוּמֵאִיֵּיu/me/iy/YEand from the islandsהַיָּם׃hay/YAMof the sea

    And it shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

12. 12

    וְנָשָׂא־נֵסve/na/SA-nesand he shall set up an ensignלַגּוֹיִםlag/go/YIMfor the nationsוְאָסַףve/a/SAFand shall assembleנִדְחֵיnid/CHEthe outcastsיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELof Israelוּנְפֻצוֹתu/ne/fu/TSOTand the dispersedיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAof Judahיְקַבֵּץye/kab/BETSgather togetherמֵאַרְבַּעme/ar/BAfrom the fourכַּנְפוֹתkan/FOTcornersהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsof the earth

    And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

13. 13

    וְסָרָהve/SA/raalso shall departקִנְאַתkin/ATthe envyאֶפְרַיִםEf/RA/yimof Ephraimוְצֹרְרֵיve/tsor/REand the adversariesיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAof Judahיִכָּרֵתוּyik/ka/RE/tushall be cut offאֶפְרַיִםEf/RA/yimEphraimלֹא־יְקַנֵּאlo-ye/kan/NEshall not envyאֶת־יְהוּדָהet-Ye/hu/DAJudahוִיהוּדָהVi/hu/DAand Judahלֹא־יָצֹרlo-ya/TSORshall not vexאֶת־אֶפְרָיִם׃et-Ef/RA/yimEphraim

    The envy of Ephraim also shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

14. 14

    וְעָפוּve/a/FUbut they shall flyבְכָתֵףve/kha/TEFupon the shouldersפְּלִשְׁתִּיםPe/lish/TIMof the PhilistinesיָמָּהYAM/mawestwardיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherיָבֹזּוּya/VOZ/zuthey shall spoilאֶת־בְּנֵי־קֶדֶםet-be/NE-KE/demthe children of the eastאֱדוֹםE/DOMEdomוּמוֹאָבu/Mo/AVand Moabמִשְׁלוֹחַmish/LO/achthey shall layיָדָםya/DAMtheir handוּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the childrenעַמּוֹןAm/MONof Ammonמִשְׁמַעְתָּם׃mish/ma/TAMshall obey them

    But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines towards the west; they shall spoil them of the east together; they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.

15. 15

    וְהֶחֱרִיםve/he/che/RIMand shall utterly destroyיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֵת־לְשׁוֹןet-le/SHONthe tongueיָם־מִצְרַיִםyam-Mits/RA/yimof the Egyptian seaוְהֵנִיףve/he/NIFand shall shakeיָדוֹya/DOhis handעַל־הַנָּהָרal-han/na/HARover the riverבַּעְיָםba/YAMwith mightyרוּחוֹru/CHOhis windוְהִכָּהוּve/hik/KA/huand shall smite itלְשִׁבְעָהle/shiv/Ainto sevenנְחָלִיםne/cha/LIMstreamsוְהִדְרִיךְve/hid/RIKHand make men go overבַּנְּעָלִים׃ban/ne/a/LIMdry shod

    And the Lord shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind he shall shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dry shod.

16. 16

    וְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand there shall beמְסִלָּהme/sil/LAa highwayלִשְׁאָרlish/ARfor the remnantעַמּוֹam/MOof his peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִשָּׁאֵרyish/sha/ERshall be leftמֵאַשּׁוּרme/Ash/SHURfrom Assyriaכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERlike as itהָיְתָהha/ye/TAwasלְיִשְׂרָאֵלle/Yis/ra/ELto Israelבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the dayעֲלֹתוֹa/lo/TOthat he came upמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsout of the landמִצְרָיִם׃Mits/RA/yimof Egypt

    And there shall be a highway for the remnant of his people which shall be left, from Assyria, like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.
