   And it came to pass that after I, Nephi, had been carried away in the Spirit, and seen all these things, I returned to the tent of my father.

   And it came to pass that I beheld my brethren, and they were disputing one with another concerning the things which my father had spoken unto them.

   For he truly spake many great things unto them, which were hard to be understood, save a man should inquire of the Lord; and they being hard in their hearts, therefore they did not look unto the Lord as they ought.

   And now I, Nephi, was grieved because of the hardness of their hearts, and also, because of the things which I had seen, and knew they must unavoidably come to pass because of the great wickedness of the children of men.

   And it came to pass that I was overcome because of my afflictions, for I considered that mine afflictions were great above all, because of the destruction of my people, for I had beheld their fall.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהִתְחַזְּקִיhit/chaz/ze/KII received strengthוָאֹמַרva/o/MARthat I spokeאֶל־אַחַיel-a/CHAYunto my brethrenוָאֲבַקֵּשׁva/a/vak/KESHdesiringלָדַעַתla/DA/atto knowמֵהֶםme/HEMof themסִבַּתsib/BATthe causeרִיבָם׃ri/VAMof their disputations

   And it came to pass that after I had received strength I spake unto my brethren, desiring to know of them the cause of their disputations.

   וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdלֹאlonotנוּכַלnu/KHALwe cannotלְהָבִיןle/ha/VINunderstandאֶת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe wordsאָבִינוּa/VI/nuof our fatherעַל־עַנְפֵיal-an/FEconcerning the branchesהַזַּיִתhaz/ZA/yitof the olive treeהָרִאשׁוֹנִיםha/ri/sho/NIMthe naturalוְגַםve/GAMand alsoעַל־הַגּוֹיִם׃al-Hag/go/YIMconcerning the Gentiles

   And they said: Behold, we cannot understand the words which our father hath spoken concerning the natural branches of the olive tree, and also concerning the Gentiles.

   וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themהַדְרַשְׁתֶּםhad/rash/TEMhave you inquiredמֵאֵתme/ETofיְהוָה׃AdonaiAdonai

   And I said unto them: Have ye inquired of the Lord?

   וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלַיe/LAYunto meלֹאlonotדָרָשְׁנוּda/ra/she/NUwe haveכִּיkiforאֵיןenthere is notיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiמוֹדִיעַmo/DI/amaking knownלָנוּLA/nuunto usדָּבָרda/VARthingכָּזֶה׃ka/ZEsuch

   And they said unto me: We have not; for the Lord maketh no such thing known unto us.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themאֵיכָהe/KHAhow is it thatלֹאloyou do notתִשְׁמְרוּtish/me/RUkeepאֶת־מִצְוֹתet-mits/VOTthe commandmentsיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiוְאֵיכָהve/e/KHAand how is it thatתֹּאבְדוּto/ve/DUyou will perishבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofקְשִׁיke/SHIthe hardnessלְבַבְכֶם׃le/vav/KHEMof your hearts

    Behold, I said unto them: How is it that ye do not keep the commandments of the Lord? How is it that ye will perish, because of the hardness of your hearts?

    הֲלֹאha/LOdo you notתִזְכְּרוּtiz/ke/RUrememberאֶת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe wordsיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאִם־לֹאim-loif you will notתַקְשׁוּtak/SHUhardenלְבַבְכֶםle/vav/KHEMyour heartsוּשְׁאַלְתֶּםu/she/al/TEMand askמֵאִתִּיme/it/TIof Meבֶאֱמוּנָהve/e/mu/NAin faithמַאֲמִינִיםma/a/mi/NIMbelievingכִּיkithatתְקַבְּלוּte/kab/be/LUyou shall receiveבִּשְׁקֹדbish/KODwith diligenceלִשְׁמֹרlish/MORin keepingמִצְוֹתַיmits/vo/TAYMy commandmentsאָכֵןa/KHENsurelyיִגָּלוּyig/ga/LUshall be made knownלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/EL/lethese

    Do ye not remember the things which the Lord hath said?—If ye will not harden your hearts, and ask me in faith, believing that ye shall receive, with diligence in keeping my commandments, surely these things shall be made known unto you.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI sayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youבְּרוּחַbe/RU/achby the SpiritיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich wasבְּאָבִינוּbe/a/VI/nuin our fatherנִמְשַׁלnim/SHALwas comparedבֵּית־יִשְׂרָאֵלbet-Yis/ra/ELthe house of Israelלְעֵץle/ETSunto a treeזַיִתZA/yitof oliveוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהֲלֹאha/LOare we notנִגְדַּעְנוּnig/da/NUbroken offמִבֵּיתmib/BETfrom the houseיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELof Israelוַהֲלֹאva/ha/LOand are notעָנָףa/NAFa branchאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweמִבֵּיתmib/BETof the houseיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELof Israel

    Behold, I say unto you, that the house of Israel was compared unto an olive tree, by the Spirit of the Lord which was in our father; and behold are we not broken off from the house of Israel, and are we not a branch of the house of Israel?

    And now, the thing which our father meaneth concerning the grafting in of the natural branches through the fulness of the Gentiles, is, that in the latter days, when our seed shall have dwindled in unbelief, yea, for the space of many years, and many generations after the Messiah shall be manifested in body unto the children of men, then shall the fulness of the gospel of the Messiah come unto the Gentiles, and from the Gentiles unto the remnant of our seed—

    וּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand at the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatיֵדְעוּyed/Ushall knowשְׁאֵרִיתshe/e/RITthe remnantזַרְעֵנוּzar/e/NUof our seedכִּיkithatמִבֵּיתmib/BETof the houseיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELof IsraelהֵמָּהHEM/mathey areוְעַםve/AMand the peopleבְּרִיתbe/RITof the covenantיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiוְאָזve/AZand thenיֵדְעוּyed/Ushall they knowוְיַכִּירוּve/yak/ki/RUand come to the knowledgeאֶת־אֲבוֹתֵיהֶםet-a/vo/te/HEMof their forefathersוְאֶת־בְּשׂוֹרַתve/ET-be/so/RATand also the gospelגּוֹאֲלָםGo/a/LAMof their Redeemerאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנְתָנָהּne/ta/NAHe ministeredלַאֲבוֹתֵיהֶםla/a/vo/te/HEMunto their fathersלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeיַכִּירוּyak/ki/RUthey shall come to the knowledgeאֶת־גּוֹאֲלָםet-Go/a/LAMof their Redeemerוְאֶת־יְסוֹדֵיve/ET-ye/so/DEand the very pointsתּוֹרָתוֹto/ra/TOof His doctrineלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיֵדְעוּyed/Uthey may knowאֵיךְekhhowלָבוֹאla/VOto comeאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto Himוּלְהִוָּשֵׁעַ׃u/le/hiv/va/SHE/aand be saved

    And at that day shall the remnant of our seed know that they are of the house of Israel, and that they are the covenant people of the Lord; and then shall they know and come to the knowledge of their forefathers, and also to the knowledge of the gospel of their Redeemer, which was ministered unto their fathers by him; wherefore, they shall come to the knowledge of their Redeemer and the very points of his doctrine, that they may know how to come unto him and be saved.

    וְאָזve/AZand thenבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMat the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatהֲלֹאha/LOwill they notיִשְׂמְחוּyis/me/CHUrejoiceוִיהַלְלוּvi/hal/LUand give praiseאֶת־אֵלet-elunto the Godעוֹלָםo/LAMeverlastingאֱלֹהֵיהֶםe/lo/he/HEMtheir Godצוּרָםtsu/RAMtheir rockוִישׁוּעָתָםvi/shu/a/TAMand their salvationאַףafyeaבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMat the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatהֲלֹאha/LOwill they notיְקַבְּלוּye/kab/be/LUreceiveעֹזozthe strengthוּמָזוֹןu/ma/ZONand nourishmentמִגֶּפֶןmig/GE/fenfrom the vineהָאֱמֶתha/e/METthe trueאַףafyeaהֲלֹאha/LOwill they notיָבֹאוּya/VO/ucomeאֶל־מִכְלְאַתel-mikh/le/ATunto the foldאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godהָאֱמֶת׃ha/e/METthe true

    And then at that day will they not rejoice and give praise unto their everlasting God, their rock and their salvation? Yea, at that day, will they not receive the strength and nourishment from the true vine? Yea, will they not come unto the true fold of God?

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI sayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youכֵּןkenyeaיִזָּכְרוּyiz/za/khe/RUshall they be rememberedשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHamongבֵּית־יִשְׂרָאֵלbet-Yis/ra/ELthe house of Israelוְיֻרְכְּבוּve/yur/ke/VUand shall be grafted inהֶעָנָףhe/a/NAFthe branchהָרִאשׁוֹןha/ri/SHONthe naturalמֵעֵץ־זַיִתme/ETS-ZA/yitof the olive treeאֶל־עֵץ־זַיִתel-ets-ZA/yitinto the olive treeהָאֱמֶת׃ha/e/METthe true

    Behold, I say unto you, Yea; they shall be remembered again among the house of Israel; they shall be grafted in, being a natural branch of the olive tree, into the true olive tree.

    וְזֶהve/ZEand this isפִּתְרוֹןpit/RONwhat meansדְּבַרde/VARthe wordאָבִינוּa/VI/nuof our fatherכִּיkithatלֹאlonotיִהְיֶהyih/YEit will beהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARitעַד־אַחֲרֵיad-a/cha/REuntil afterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיְפִיצוּםye/fi/TSUMscatter themהַגּוֹיִםhag/Go/YIMthe Gentilesוּבְיַדu/ve/YADand by wayהַגּוֹיִםhag/Go/YIMof the Gentilesיָבוֹאya/VOit shall comeלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיַרְאֶהyar/Emay showיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֶת־כֹּחוֹet-ko/CHOHis powerלַגּוֹיִםlag/Go/YIMunto the Gentilesכִּיkiforעַל־כֵּןal-kenthe very cause thatיִמְאָסוּהוּyim/a/su/HUhe shall be rejectedהַיְּהוּדִיםhay/Ye/hu/DIMof the Jewsאוֹoorבֵּיתbetof the houseיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELof Israel

    And this is what our father meaneth; and he meaneth that it will not come to pass until after they are scattered by the Gentiles; and he meaneth that it shall come by way of the Gentiles, that the Lord may show his power unto the Gentiles, for the very cause that he shall be rejected of the Jews, or of the house of Israel.

    Wherefore, our father hath not spoken of our seed alone, but also of all the house of Israel, pointing to the covenant which should be fulfilled in the latter days; which covenant the Lord made to our father Abraham, saying: In thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

    וָאֲדַבְּרָהva/a/dab/be/RAand I spokeאֲנִיa/NIIנֶפִיNE/fiNephiאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themהַרְבֵּהhar/BEmuchעַל־הַדְּבָרִיםal-had/de/va/RIMconcerning the thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוְאַףve/AFyeaדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI spokeעַל־שׁוּבal-shuvconcerning the restorationהַיְּהוּדִיםhay/Ye/hu/DIMof the Jewsבְּאַחֲרִיתbe/a/cha/RITin the latterהַיָּמִים׃hay/ya/MIMdays

    And it came to pass that I, Nephi, spake much unto them concerning these things; yea, I spake unto them concerning the restoration of the Jews in the latter days.

    And I did rehearse unto them the words of Isaiah, who spake concerning the restoration of the Jews, or of the house of Israel; and after they were restored they should no more be confounded, neither should they be scattered again. And it came to pass that I did speak many words unto my brethren, that they were pacified and did humble themselves before the Lord.

    וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainאֵלַיe/LAYunto meמַה־פִּתְרוֹןma-pit/RONwhat meansהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe thingהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichרָאָהra/Asawאָבִינוּa/VI/nuour fatherבַּחֲלוֹםba/cha/LOMin a dreamמַה־פִּתְרוֹןma-pit/RONwhat meansהָעֵץha/ETSthe treeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichרָאָה׃ra/Ahe saw

    And it came to pass that they did speak unto me again, saying: What meaneth this thing which our father saw in a dream? What meaneth the tree which he saw?

22. 22

    וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themהוּאhuit wasדְּמוּתde/MUTa representationעֵץetsof the treeהַחַיִּים׃ha/chay/YIMof life

    And I said unto them: It was a representation of the tree of life.

    וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלַיe/LAYunto meמַה־פִּתְרוֹןma-pit/RONwhat meansמַעֲקֵהma/a/KEthe rodהַבַּרְזֶלhab/bar/ZELof ironאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichרָאָהra/Asawאָבִינוּa/VI/nuour fatherהַמּוֹלִיךְham/mo/LIKHthat ledאֶל־הָעֵץ׃el-ha/ETSto the tree

    And they said unto me: What meaneth the rod of iron which our father saw, that led to the tree?

    וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themדְּבַר־אֱלֹהִיםde/VAR-e/lo/HIMthe word of Godהוּאhuit wasוְכׇל־הַשֹּׁמֵעַve/KHOL-hash/sho/ME/aand whoso would hearkenלִדְבַרlid/VARunto the wordהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMof Godוּמַחֲזִיקu/ma/cha/ZIKand would hold fastבּוֹbounto itלֹאloneverיֹאבַדyo/VADwould perishלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverוְלֹאve/LOneitherיִגְבְּרוּyig/be/RUcould overpowerעָלָיוa/LAYVthemמַסּוֹתmas/SOTthe temptationsהַשָּׂטָןhas/sa/TANof the adversaryוְחִצָּיוve/chits/TSAYVand his dartsהַבֹּעֲרִיםhab/bo/a/RIMthe fieryלְעַוְּרוֹle/av/ve/ROunto blindnessוּלְהוֹלִיכוֹu/le/ho/li/KHOto lead them awayאֶלeltoהַשַּׁחַת׃hash/SHA/chatdestruction

    And I said unto them that it was the word of God; and whoso would hearken unto the word of God, and would hold fast unto it, they would never perish; neither could the temptations and the fiery darts of the adversary overpower them unto blindness, to lead them away to destruction.

25. 25

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeהִזְהַרְתִּיםhiz/har/TIMI exhorted themאֲנִיa/NIIנֶפִיNE/fiNephiלְהַקְשִׁיבle/hak/SHIVto give heedלִדְבַרlid/VARunto the wordיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiאַףafyeaבְּכׇל־תַּעֲצֻמוֹתbe/KHOL-ta/a/tsu/MOTwith all the energiesנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHIof my soulוּבְכׇל־מְאֹדִיu/ve/KHOL-me/o/DIand with all the faculty which I possessedהִזְהַרְתִּיםhiz/har/TIMI exhorted themלְהַקְשִׁיבle/hak/SHIVthat they would give heedלִדְבַרlid/VARto the wordאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godוְלִזְכֹּרve/liz/KORand rememberלִשְׁמֹרlish/MORto keepאֶת־מִצְוֹתָיוet-mits/vo/TAYVHis commandmentsתָּמִידta/MIDalwaysבַּכֹּל׃bak/KOLin all things

    Wherefore, I, Nephi, did exhort them to give heed unto the word of the Lord; yea, I did exhort them with all the energies of my soul, and with all the faculty which I possessed, that they would give heed to the word of God and remember to keep his commandments always in all things.

    And they said unto me: What meaneth the river of water which our father saw?

27. 27

    וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themטֻמְאָהtum/Afilthinessהֵםhemwasהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe waterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichרָאָהra/Asawאָבִיa/VImy fatherוְכֹהve/KHOand so muchשָׁקַעsha/KAwas swallowed upלִבּוֹlib/BOhis mindבִּדְבָרִיםbid/va/RIMin thingsאֲחֵרִיםa/che/RIMotherעַד־כִּיad-kithatלֹאlonotרָאָהra/Ahe beheldאֶת־טֻמְאַתet-tum/ATthe filthinessהַמָּיִם׃ham/MA/yimof the water

    And I said unto them that the water which my father saw was filthiness; and so much was his mind swallowed up in other things that he beheld not the filthiness of the water.

28. 28

    וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themהוּאhuit wasתְּהוֹםte/HOMa gulfנוֹרָאָהno/ra/Aawfulהַמַּבְדִּילָהham/mav/di/LAwhich separatedבֵּיןbenbetweenהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMthe wickedוּבֵיןu/VENandעֵץetsthe treeהַחַיִּיםha/chay/YIMof lifeוּבֵיןu/VENand alsoקְדוֹשֵׁיke/do/SHEthe saintsאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMof God

    And I said unto them that it was an awful gulf, which separated the wicked from the tree of life, and also from the saints of God.

29. 29

    וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themהוּאhuit wasדְּמוּתde/MUTa representationהַשְּׁאוֹלhash/she/OLof that hellהַנּוֹרָאhan/no/RAthe awfulאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאָמַרa/MARsaidאֵלַיe/LAYunto meהַמַּלְאָךְham/mal/AKHthe angelמוּכָןmu/KHANis preparedהוּאhuitלָרְשָׁעִים׃la/re/sha/IMfor the wicked

    And I said unto them that it was a representation of that awful hell, which the angel said unto me was prepared for the wicked.

30. 30

    וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themגַּם־זֹאתgam-zotalsoרָאָהra/Asawאָבִינוּa/VI/nuour fatherכִּיkithatגַּםgamalsoצֶדֶקTSE/dekthe justiceאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godמַבְדִּילmav/DILdividedבֵּיןbenbetweenהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMthe wickedוּבֵיןu/VENandהַצַּדִּיקִיםhats/tsad/di/KIMthe righteousוְאוֹרוֹve/o/ROand the brightness thereofכְּאוֹרke/ORwas like unto the brightnessאֵשׁeshof a fireלוֹהֶטֶתlo/HE/tetflamingהָעוֹלָהha/o/LAwhich ascends upאֶל־אֱלֹהִיםel-e/lo/HIMunto Godלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverוָעֶדva/EDand everוְאֵין־לוֹve/EN-loand has noקֵץ׃ketsend

    And I said unto them that our father also saw that the justice of God did also divide the wicked from the righteous; and the brightness thereof was like unto the brightness of a flaming fire, which ascendeth up unto God forever and ever, and hath no end.

31. 31

    וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלַיe/LAYunto meהֲיִסּוּרֵיha/yis/su/REdoes the tormentהַגְּוִיָּהhag/ge/viy/YAof the bodyבִּימֵיbi/MEin the daysהַנִּסָּיוֹןhan/nis/sa/YONof probationפִּתְרוֹןpit/RONmeanהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe thingהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאוֹoorאַחֲרִיתa/cha/RITthe final stateהַנֶּפֶשׁhan/NE/feshof the soulאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterמוֹתmotthe deathגְּוִיַּתge/viy/YATof the bodyהַבָּשָׂרhab/ba/SARtemporalאוֹoorעַל־דִּבְרֵיal-div/REof the thingsהַבָּשָׂרhab/ba/SARwhich are temporalיְדַבֵּר׃ye/dab/BERdoes it speak

    And they said unto me: Doth this thing mean the torment of the body in the days of probation, or doth it mean the final state of the soul after the death of the temporal body, or doth it speak of the things which are temporal?

32. 32

    וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themדְּמוּתde/MUTa representationהוּאhuit wasלְדִבְרֵיle/div/REof thingsהַבָּשָׂרhab/ba/SARtemporalוְהָרוּחַve/ha/RU/achand spiritualגַּם־יָחַדgam-YA/chadbothכִּיkiforיָבוֹאya/VOshould comeהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayוְנִשְׁפְּטוּve/nish/pe/TUthat they must be judgedעַל־מַעֲשֵׂיהֶםal-ma/a/se/HEMof their worksאַףafyea, evenעַל־הַמַּעֲשִׂיםal-ham/ma/a/SIMthe worksאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעָשׂוּa/SUwere doneבִּגְוִיַּתbig/viy/YATby the bodyהַבָּשָׂרhab/ba/SARtemporalבִּימֵיbi/MEin the daysנִסְיוֹנָם׃nis/yo/NAMof their probation

    And it came to pass that I said unto them that it was a representation of things both temporal and spiritual; for the day should come that they must be judged of their works, yea, even the works which were done by the temporal body in their days of probation.

33. 33

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאִם־יָמוּתוּim-ya/MU/tuif they should dieבְּרִשְׁעָתָםbe/rish/a/TAMin their wickednessגַּםgamalsoמִדִּבְרֵיmid/div/REas to the thingsהָרוּחַha/RU/achwhich are spiritualאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich areלַצְּדָקָהlats/tse/da/KApertaining to righteousnessיֻשְׁלָכוּyush/LA/khuthey must be cast offוְעַל־כֵּןve/AL-kenwhereforeיוּבְאוּyuv/Uthey must be broughtלַעֲמֹדla/a/MODto standלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלְהִשָּׁפֵטle/hish/sha/FETto be judgedעַל־מַעֲשֵׂיהֶםal-ma/a/se/HEMof their worksוְאִם־טֻמְאָהve/IM-tum/Aand if filthinessמַעֲשֵׂיהֶםma/a/se/HEMtheir works have beenטְמֵאִיםte/me/IMfilthyהֵםhemthey must needs beוְאִם־טְמֵאִיםve/IM-te/me/IMand if filthyהֵםhemthey beלֹא־יוּכְלוּlo-yukh/LUit must needs be that they cannotלָשֶׁבֶתla/SHE/vetdwellבְּמַלְכוּתbe/mal/KHUTin the kingdomהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMof Godוְאִם־כֵּןve/IM-kenif soטְמֵאָהte/me/Amust be filthyגַםgamalsoמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdomהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMof God

    Wherefore, if they should die in their wickedness they must be cast off also, as to the things which are spiritual, which are pertaining to righteousness; wherefore, they must be brought to stand before God, to be judged of their works; and if their works have been filthiness they must needs be filthy; and if they be filthy it must needs be that they cannot dwell in the kingdom of God; if so, the kingdom of God must be filthy also.

34. 34

    אַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI sayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלֹאlonotטְמֵאָהte/me/Ais filthyמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdomהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMof Godוְכׇל־טָמֵאve/KHOL-ta/MEand any unclean thingלֹאlocannotיָבוֹאya/VOenterבְּמַלְכוּתbe/mal/KHUTinto the kingdomהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMof Godלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeהָכֵןha/KHENthere must needsיוּכַןyu/KHANbe preparedמְקוֹםme/KOMa placeטֻמְאָהtum/Aof filthinessלַטָּמֵא׃lat/ta/MEfor that which is filthy

    But behold, I say unto you, the kingdom of God is not filthy, and there cannot any unclean thing enter into the kingdom of God; wherefore there must needs be a place of filthiness prepared for that which is filthy.

35. 35

    וְיֵשׁve/YESHand there isמָקוֹםma/KOMa placeמוּכָןmu/KHANpreparedאַףafyeaהוּאhuevenהַשְּׁאוֹלhash/she/OLthat hellהַנּוֹרָאhan/no/RAthe awfulאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whichדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI spokeעָלָיוa/LAYVconcerning itוְהַשָּׂטָןve/has/sa/TANand the devilמְכִינוֹme/khi/NOis the preparator of itלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeזֹאתzotthis isאַחֲרִיתa/cha/RITthe final stateנַפְשׁוֹתnaf/SHOTof the soulsבְּנֵי־הָאָדָםbe/NE-ha/a/DAMof menלָשֶׁבֶתla/SHE/vetto dwellבְּמַלְכוּתbe/mal/KHUTin the kingdomהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMof Godאוֹoorלְהִשָּׁלֵךְle/hish/sha/LEKHto be cast outמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofהַצֶּדֶקhats/TSE/dekthat justiceאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whichדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI spokeעָלָיו׃a/LAYVconcerning it

    And there is a place prepared, yea, even that awful hell of which I have spoken, and the devil is the preparator of it; wherefore the final state of the souls of men is to dwell in the kingdom of God, or to be cast out because of that justice of which I have spoken.

36. 36

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeנִדְּחוּnid/de/CHUare rejectedהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMthe wickedמִן־הַצַּדִּיקִיםmin-hats/tsad/di/KIMfrom the righteousוְגַםve/GAMand alsoמֵעֵץme/ETSfrom the treeהַחַיִּיםha/chay/YIMof lifeהַהוּאha/HUthatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseפִּרְיוֹpir/YOfruit isיָקָרya/KARmost preciousוְנֶחְמָדve/nech/MADand most desirableמִכׇּל־פְּרִיmik/KOL-pe/RIabove all other fruitsוְאַףve/AFyea, andגָּדוֹלga/DOLthe greatestהוּאhuit isמִכׇּל־מַתְּנוֹתmik/KOL-mat/te/NOTof all the giftsאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godוְכֹהve/KHOand thusדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI spokeאֶל־אַחַיel-a/CHAYunto my brethrenאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    Wherefore, the wicked are rejected from the righteous, and also from that tree of life, whose fruit is most precious and most desirable above all other fruits; yea, and it is the greatest of all the gifts of God. And thus I spake unto my brethren. Amen.
