   And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto Moses, saying: Behold, I reveal unto you concerning this heaven, and this earth; write the words which I speak. I am the Beginning and the End, the Almighty God; by mine Only Begotten I created these things; yea, in the beginning I created the heaven, and the earth upon which thou standest.

   And the earth was without form, and void; and I caused darkness to come up upon the face of the deep; and my Spirit moved upon the face of the water; for I am God.

   And I, God, said: Let there be light; and there was light.

   And I, God, saw the light; and that light was good. And I, God, divided the light from the darkness.

   And I, God, called the light Day; and the darkness, I called Night; and this I did by the word of my power, and it was done as I spake; and the evening and the morning were the first day.

   וָאֹסֶףva/O/sefand againוָאֹמַרva/o/MARsaidאֲנִיa/NIIאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodיְהִיye/HIlet there beרָקִיעַra/KI/aa firmamentבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe waterוַיְהִי־כֵןvay/HI-khenand it was soכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI spakeוָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidיַבְדֵּלyav/DELlet it divideבֵּיןbenbetweenמַיִםMA/yimthe watersלָמָיִםla/MA/yimfrom the watersוַיְהִי־כֵן׃vay/HI-khenand it was done

   And again, I, God, said: Let there be a firmament in the midst of the water, and it was so, even as I spake; and I said: Let it divide the waters from the waters; and it was done;

   And I, God, made the firmament and divided the waters, yea, the great waters under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament, and it was so even as I spake.

   And I, God, called the firmament Heaven; and the evening and the morning were the second day.

   וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand saidאֲנִיa/NIIאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodיִקָּווּyik/ka/VUlet be gathered togetherהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersמִתַּחַתmit/TA/chatunderהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavenאֶל־מָקוֹםel-ma/KOMunto placeאֶחָדe/CHADoneוַיְהִי־כֵןvay/HI-khenand it was soוָאֹמַרva/o/MARand saidאֲנִיa/NIIאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodתְּהִיte/HIlet there beיַבָּשָׁהyab/ba/SHAdry landוַיְהִי־כֵן׃vay/HI-khenand it was so

   And I, God, said: Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and it was so; and I, God, said: Let there be dry land; and it was so.

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodקָרָאתִיka/RA/ticalledלַיַּבָּשָׁהlay/yab/ba/SHAthe dry landאֶרֶץE/retsEarthוּלְמִקְוֵהu/le/mik/VEand the gathering togetherהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimof the watersקָרָאתִיka/RA/ticalled IיָםYamthe Seaוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodרָאִיתִיra/I/tisawכִּיkithatכׇל־אֲשֶׁרkhol-a/SHERall things whichעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI madeטוֹב׃tovwere good

    And I, God, called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters, called I the Sea; and I, God, saw that all things which I had made were good.

    וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand saidאֲנִיa/NIIאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodתַּדְשֵׁאtad/SHElet bring forthהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthדֶּשֶׁאDE/shegrassעֵשֶׂבE/sevthe herbמַזְרִיעַmaz/RI/ayieldingזֶרַעZE/raseedעֵץetsthe treeפְּרִיpe/RIof fruitעֹשֶׂהo/SEyieldingפְּרִיpe/RIfruitלְמִינוֹle/mi/NOafter his kindוְעֵץve/ETSand the treeעֹשֶׂהo/SEyieldingפְּרִיpe/RIfruitאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseזַרְעוֹ־בוֹzar/O-voseed should be in itselfעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retsupon the earthוַיְהִי־כֵןvay/HI-khenand it was soכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asדִּבַּרְתִּי׃dib/BAR/tiI spake

    And I, God, said: Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, the fruit tree yielding fruit, after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed should be in itself upon the earth, and it was so even as I spake.

    וַתּוֹצֵאvat/to/TSEand brought forthהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthדֶּשֶׁאDE/shegrassכׇּל־עֵשֶׂבkol-E/sevevery herbמַזְרִיעַmaz/RI/ayieldingזֶרַעZE/raseedלְמִינֵהוּle/mi/NE/huafter his kindוְעֵץve/ETSand the treeעֹשֶׂה־פְּרִיo/SE-pe/RIyielding fruitאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseזַרְעוֹ־בוֹzar/O-voseed should be in itselfלְמִינֵהוּle/mi/NE/huafter his kindוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodרָאִיתִיra/I/tisawכִּיkithatכׇל־אֲשֶׁרkhol-a/SHERall things whichעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI madeטוֹב׃tovwere good

    And the earth brought forth grass, every herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed should be in itself, after his kind; and I, God, saw that all things which I had made were good;

    וַיְהִי־עֶרֶבvay/HI-E/revand there was eveningוַיְהִי־בֹקֶרvay/HI-VO/kerand there was morningיוֹםyomdayשְׁלִישִׁי׃she/li/SHIthe third

    And the evening and the morning were the third day.

14. 14

    וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand saidאֲנִיa/NIIאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodיְהִיye/HIlet there beמְאֹרֹתme/o/ROTlightsבִּרְקִיעַbir/KI/ain the firmamentהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimof the heavenלְהַבְדִּילle/hav/DILto divideבֵּיןbenbetweenהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayוּבֵיןu/VENfromהַלָּיְלָהhal/LAY/lathe nightוְיִהְיוּve/yih/YUand let them beלְאֹתֹתle/o/TOTfor signsוּלְמוֹעֲדִיםu/le/mo/a/DIMand for seasonsוּלְיָמִיםu/le/ya/MIMand for daysוּלְשָׁנִים׃u/le/sha/NIMand for years

    And I, God, said: Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven, to divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and for years;

    וְיִהְיוּve/yih/YUand let them beלִמְאוֹרֹתlim/o/ROTfor lightsבִּרְקִיעַbir/KI/ain the firmamentהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimof the heavenלְהָאִירle/ha/IRto give lightעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retsupon the earthוַיְהִי־כֵן׃vay/HI-khenand it was so

    And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth; and it was so.

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/timadeאֶת־שְׁנֵיet-she/NEtwoהַמְּאֹרֹתham/me/o/ROTlightsהַגְּדֹלִיםhag/ge/do/LIMgreatאֶת־הַמָּאוֹרet-ham/ma/ORthe lightהַגָּדֹלhag/ga/DOLgreaterלְמֶמְשֶׁלֶתle/mem/SHE/letto ruleהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayוְאֶת־הַמָּאוֹרve/ET-ham/ma/ORand the lightהַקָּטֹןhak/ka/TONlesserלְמֶמְשֶׁלֶתle/mem/SHE/letto ruleהַלַּיְלָהhal/LAY/lathe nightהַגָּדֹלhag/ga/DOLthe greaterהוּאhuit wasהַשֶּׁמֶשׁhash/SHE/meshthe sunוְהַקָּטֹןve/hak/ka/TONand the lesserהוּאhuit wasהַיָּרֵחַhay/ya/RE/achthe moonוְגַםve/GAMand alsoאֶת־הַכּוֹכָבִיםet-hak/ko/kha/VIMthe starsעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI madeכִּדְבָרִי׃kid/va/RIeven according to my word

    And I, God, made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night, and the greater light was the sun, and the lesser light was the moon; and the stars also were made even according to my word.

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tisetאֹתָםo/TAMthemבִּרְקִיעַbir/KI/ain the firmamentהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimof the heavenלְהָאִירle/ha/IRto give lightעַל־הָאָרֶץ׃al-ha/A/retsupon the earth

    And I, God, set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18. 18

    וְהַשֶּׁמֶשׁve/hash/SHE/meshand the sunלִמְשֹׁלlim/SHOLto ruleבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMover the dayוְהַיָּרֵחַve/hay/ya/RE/achand the moonלִמְשֹׁלlim/SHOLto ruleבַּלַּיְלָהbal/LAY/laover the nightוּלְהַבְדִּילu/le/hav/DILand to divideבֵּיןbenbetweenהָאוֹרha/ORthe lightוּבֵיןu/VENfromהַחֹשֶׁךְha/CHO/shekhthe darknessוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodרָאִיתִיra/I/tisawכִּיkithatכׇל־אֲשֶׁרkhol-a/SHERall things whichעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI madeטוֹב׃tovwere good

    And the sun to rule over the day, and the moon to rule over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness; and I, God, saw that all things which I had made were good;

    וַיְהִי־עֶרֶבvay/HI-E/revand there was eveningוַיְהִי־בֹקֶרvay/HI-VO/kerand there was morningיוֹםyomdayרְבִיעִי׃re/vi/Ithe fourth

    And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

20. 20

    וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand saidאֲנִיa/NIIאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodיִשְׁרְצוּyish/re/TSUlet bring forth abundantlyהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersשֶׁרֶץSHE/retsthe moving creatureנֶפֶשׁNE/fesha soulחַיָּהchay/YAlivingוְעוֹףve/OFand fowlיְעוֹפֵףye/o/FEFwhich may flyעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retsabove the earthעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceרְקִיעַre/KI/aof firmamentהַשָּׁמָיִם׃hash/sha/MA/yimof the heaven

    And I, God, said: Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl which may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodבָּרָאתִיba/RA/ticreatedאֶת־הַתַּנִּינִםet-hat/tan/ni/NIMwhalesהַגְּדֹלִיםhag/ge/do/LIMgreatוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־נֶפֶשׁkol-NE/feshevery creatureהַחַיָּהha/chay/YAlivingהָרֹמֶשֶׂתha/ro/ME/setthat movethאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichשָׁרְצוּsha/re/TSUbrought forth abundantlyהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersלְמִינֵהֶםle/mi/ne/HEMafter their kindוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־עוֹףkol-ofevery fowlכָּנָףka/NAFwingedלְמִינֵהוּle/mi/NE/huafter his kindוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodרָאִיתִיra/I/tisawכִּיkithatכׇל־אֲשֶׁרkhol-a/SHERall things whichבָּרָאתִיba/RA/tiI createdטוֹב׃tovwere good

    And I, God, created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind; and I, God, saw that all things which I had created were good.

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodבֵּרַכְתִּיbe/RAKH/tiblessedאֹתָםo/TAMthemלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingפְּרוּpe/RUbe fruitfulוּרְבוּu/re/VUand multiplyוּמִלְאוּu/mil/Uand fillאֶת־הַמַּיִםet-ham/MA/yimthe watersבַּיָּםbay/YAMin the seaוְהָעוֹףve/ha/OFand let fowlיִרֶבyi/REVmultiplyבָּאָרֶץ׃ba/A/retsin the earth

    And I, God, blessed them, saying: Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the sea; and let fowl multiply in the earth;

23. 23

    וַיְהִי־עֶרֶבvay/HI-E/revand there was eveningוַיְהִי־בֹקֶרvay/HI-VO/kerand there was morningיוֹםyomdayחֲמִישִׁי׃cha/mi/SHIthe fifth

    And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

    וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand saidאֲנִיa/NIIאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodתּוֹצֵאto/TSElet bring forthהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthנֶפֶשׁNE/feshthe creatureחַיָּהchay/YAlivingלְמִינָהּle/mi/NAafter his kindבְּהֵמָהbe/he/MAcattleוָרֶמֶשׂva/RE/mesand creeping thingsוְחַיְתוֹ־אֶרֶץve/chay/TO-E/retsand beasts of the earthלְמִינָהּle/mi/NAafter their kindוַיְהִי־כֵן׃vay/HI-khenand it was so

    And I, God, said: Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping things, and beasts of the earth after their kind, and it was so;

    And I, God, made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and cattle after their kind, and everything which creepeth upon the earth after his kind; and I, God, saw that all these things were good.

    And I, God, said unto mine Only Begotten, which was with me from the beginning: Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and it was so. And I, God, said: Let them have dominion over the fishes of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

    And I, God, created man in mine own image, in the image of mine Only Begotten created I him; male and female created I them.

    And I, God, blessed them, and said unto them: Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

    וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand saidאֲנִיa/NIIאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶל־הָאָדָםel-ha/a/DAMunto manהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouאֶת־כׇּל־עֵשֶׂבet-kol-E/sevevery herbזֹרֵעַzo/RE/abearingזֶרַעZE/raseedאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceכׇל־הָאָרֶץkhol-ha/A/retsof all the earthוְאֶת־כׇּל־הָעֵץve/ET-kol-ha/ETSand every treeאֲשֶׁר־בּוֹa/SHER-boin the whichפְרִי־עֵץfe/RI-etsthe fruit of a treeזֹרֵעַzo/RE/ayieldingזָרַעZA/raseedלָכֶםla/KHEMto youיִהְיֶהyih/YEit shall beלְאׇכְלָה׃le/okh/LAfor meat

    And I, God, said unto man: Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree in the which shall be the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30. 30

    וּלְכׇל־חַיַּתu/le/KHOL-chay/YATand to every beastהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthוּלְכׇל־עוֹףu/le/KHOL-ofand to every fowlהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimof the airוּלְכֹלu/le/KHOLand to every thingרוֹמֵשׂro/MESthat creepethעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retsupon the earthאֲשֶׁר־בּוֹa/SHER-bowhereinאֲנִיa/NIIנֹתֵןno/TENgrantחַיִּיםchay/YIMlifeיִנָּתֵןyin/na/TENthere shall be givenכׇּל־עֵשֶׂבkol-E/sevevery herbטָהוֹרta/HORcleanלְאׇכְלָהle/okh/LAfor meatוַיְהִי־כֵןvay/HI-khenand it was soכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asדִּבַּרְתִּי׃dib/BAR/tiI spake

    And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein I grant life, there shall be given every clean herb for meat; and it was so, even as I spake.

31. 31

    וָאֵרֶאva/E/reand sawאֲנִיa/NIIאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁרet-kol-a/SHERevery thing thatעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI madeוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdכׇל־אֲשֶׁרkhol-a/SHERall things whichעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI madeטוֹבtovwere goodמְאֹדme/ODveryוַיְהִי־עֶרֶבvay/HI-E/revand there was eveningוַיְהִי־בֹקֶרvay/HI-VO/kerand there was morningיוֹםyomdayהַשִּׁשִּׁי׃hash/shish/SHIthe sixth

    And I, God, saw everything that I had made, and, behold, all things which I had made were very good; and the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
