Zechariah 9 זְכַרְיָה פרק ט׳

1. 1

   מַשָּׂאmas/SAthe burden ofדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofחַדְרָךְChad/RAKHHadrachוְדַמֶּשֶׂקve/Dam/ME/sekand Damascusמְנֻחָתוֹme/nu/cha/TOshall be its restכִּיkiwhenלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaitoward the LORDעֵיןenthe eyes ofאָדָםa/DAMmanוְכֹלve/KHOLand of allשִׁבְטֵיshiv/TEthe tribes ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   The burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD.

2. 2

   וְגַם־חֲמָתve/GAM-cha/MATand Hamath alsoתִּגְבׇּל־בָּהּtig/BOL-bashall border therebyצֹרTsorTyreוְצִידוֹןve/Tsi/DONand Zidonכִּיkithoughחׇכְמָהchokh/MAshe be wiseמְאֹד׃me/ODexceedingly

   And Hamath also shall border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very wise.

3. 3

   וַתִּבֶןvat/TI/venand builtצֹרTsorTyreמָצוֹרma/TSORa strongholdלָהּlafor herselfוַתִּצְבׇּר־כֶּסֶףvat/tits/BOR-KE/sefand heaped up silverכֶּעָפָרke/a/FARlike the dustוְחָרוּץve/cha/RUTSand fine goldכְּטִיטke/TITas the mire ofחוּצוֹת׃chu/TSOTthe streets

   And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.

4. 4

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe Lordיוֹרִשֶׁנָּהyo/ri/SHEN/nawill cast her outוְהִכָּהve/hik/KAand He will smiteבַיָּםvay/YAMin the seaחֵילָהּche/LAher powerוְהִיאve/HIand sheבָּאֵשׁba/ESHwith fireתֵּאָכֵל׃te/a/KHELshall be devoured

   Behold, the Lord will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.

   תֵּרֶאTE/reshall see itאַשְׁקְלוֹןAsh/ke/LONAshkelonוְתִירָאve/ti/RAand fearוְעַזָּהve/Az/ZAand Gazaוְתָחִילve/ta/CHILand shall writheמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyוְעֶקְרוֹןve/Ek/RONand Ekronכִּי־הֹבִישׁki-ho/VISHfor is put to shameמֶבָּטָהּmeb/ba/TAher expectationוְאָבַדve/a/VADand shall perishמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe kingמֵעַזָּהme/Az/ZAfrom Gazaוְאַשְׁקְלוֹןve/Ash/ke/LONand Ashkelonלֹאlonotתֵשֵׁב׃te/SHEVshall be inhabited

   Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.

6. 6

   וְיָשַׁבve/ya/SHAVand shall dwellמַמְזֵרmam/ZERa bastardבְּאַשְׁדּוֹדbe/Ash/DODin Ashdodוְהִכְרַתִּיve/hikh/rat/TIand I will cut offגְּאוֹןge/ONthe pride ofפְּלִשְׁתִּים׃Pe/lish/TIMthe Philistines

   And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.

7. 7

   וַהֲסִרֹתִיva/ha/si/ro/TIand I will removeדָמָיוda/MAYVhis bloodמִפִּיוmip/PIVfrom his mouthוְשִׁקֻּצָיוve/shik/ku/TSAYVand his abominationsמִבֵּיןmib/BENfrom betweenשִׁנָּיוshin/NAYVhis teethוְנִשְׁאַרve/nish/ARbut shall remainגַּם־הוּאgam-huhe alsoלֵאלֹהֵינוּle/lo/HE/nufor our Godוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand he shall beכְּאַלֻּףke/al/LUFlike a chiefבִּיהוּדָהbI/hu/DAin Judahוְעֶקְרוֹןve/Ek/RONand Ekronכִּיבוּסִי׃Ki/vu/SIas a Jebusite

   And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.

8. 8

   וְחָנִיתִיve/cha/NI/tiand I will encampלְבֵיתִיle/ve/TIabout my houseמִצָּבָהmits/tsa/VAbecause of the armyמֵעֹבֵרme/o/VERbecause of him that passes byוּמִשָּׁבu/mish/SHAVand because of him that returnsוְלֹא־יַעֲבֹרve/LO-ya/a/VORand shall not pass throughעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMthemעוֹדodany moreנֹגֵשׂno/GESan oppressorכִּיkiforעַתָּהat/TAnowרָאִיתִיra/I/tihave I seenבְעֵינָי׃ve/e/NAYwith my eyes

   And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.

   Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

    וְהִכְרַתִּי־רֶכֶבve/hikh/rat/TI-RE/khevand I will cut off the chariotמֵאֶפְרַיִםme/Ef/RA/yimof Ephraimוְסוּסve/SUSand the horseמִירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםmI/ru/sha/LA/yimfrom Jerusalemוְנִכְרְתָהve/nikh/re/TAand shall be cut offקֶשֶׁתKE/shetthe bow ofמִלְחָמָהmil/cha/MAbattleוְדִבֶּרve/dib/BERand He shall speakשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceלַגּוֹיִםlag/go/YIMto the nationsוּמׇשְׁלוֹu/mosh/LOand His dominionמִיָּםmiy/YAMfrom seaעַד־יָםad-yamto seaוּמִנָּהָרu/min/na/HARand from the riverעַד־אַפְסֵי־אָרֶץ׃ad-af/SE-A/retsto the ends of the earth

    And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.

    גַּם־אַתְּgam-attas for you alsoבְּדַם־בְּרִיתֵךְbe/DAM-be/ri/TEKHby the blood of your covenantשִׁלַּחְתִּיshil/LACH/tiI have sent forthאֲסִירַיִךְa/si/RA/yikhyour prisonersמִבּוֹרmib/BORout of the pitאֵיןenwherein is noמַיִםMA/yimwaterבּוֹ׃boin it

    As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.

12. 12

    שׁוּבוּSHU/vuturnלְבִצָּרוֹןle/vits/tsa/RONto the strongholdאֲסִירֵיa/si/REyou prisoners ofהַתִּקְוָהhat/tik/VAhopeגַּם־הַיּוֹםgam-hay/YOMeven todayמַגִּידmag/GIDI declareמִשְׁנֶהmish/NEdoubleאָשִׁיבa/SHIVwill I renderלָךְ׃lakhto you

    Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;

    כִּי־דָרַכְתִּיki-da/RAKH/tifor I have bentלִיlifor meיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahקֶשֶׁתKE/shetas a bowמִלֵּאתִיmil/LE/tiI have filled it withאֶפְרַיִםEf/RA/yimEphraimוְעוֹרַרְתִּיve/o/rar/TIand I will raise upבָנַיִךְva/NA/yikhyour sonsצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONO Zionעַל־בָּנַיִךְal-ba/NA/yikhagainst your sonsיָוָןYa/VANO Greeceוְשַׂמְתִּיךְve/sam/TIKHand I will make youכְּחֶרֶבke/CHE/revas the sword ofגִּבּוֹר׃gib/BORa mighty man

    When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.

14. 14

    וַיהֹוָהve-Adonaiand the LORDעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMover themיֵרָאֶהye/ra/Eshall be seenוְיָצָאve/ya/TSAand shall come forthכַבָּרָקkhab/ba/RAKas the lightningחִצּוֹchits/TSOHis arrowוַאדֹנָיva/do/NAYand the LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODבַּשּׁוֹפָרbash/sho/FARthe shofarיִתְקָעyit/KAshall blowוְהָלַךְve/ha/LAKHand shall goבְּסַעֲרוֹתbe/sa/a/ROTwith whirlwinds ofתֵּימָן׃te/MANthe south

    And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.

15. 15

    יְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsיָגֵןya/GENshall defendעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMthemוְאָכְלוּve/a/khe/LUand they shall devourוְכָבְשׁוּve/kha/ve/SHUand subdueאַבְנֵי־קֶלַעav/NE-KE/lathe sling stonesוְשָׁתוּve/sha/TUand they shall drinkהָמוּha/MUand make a noiseכְּמוֹ־יָיִןke/MO-YA/yinas through wineוּמָלְאוּu/ma/le/Uand they shall be filledכַּמִּזְרָקkam/miz/RAKlike the bowlsכְּזָוִיּוֹתke/za/viy/YOTas the corners ofמִזְבֵּחַ׃miz/BE/achan altar

    The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.

16. 16

    וְהוֹשִׁיעָםve/ho/shi/AMand shall save themיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיהֶםe/lo/he/HEMtheir Godבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatכְּצֹאןke/TSONas the flock ofעַמּוֹam/MOHis peopleכִּיkiforאַבְנֵי־נֵזֶרav/NE-NE/zerthe stones of a crownמִתְנוֹסְסוֹתmit/nos/SOTlifted up as an ensignעַל־אַדְמָתוֹ׃al-ad/ma/TOupon His land

    And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.

17. 17

    כִּיkiforמַה־טּוּבוֹma-tu/VOhow great is His goodnessוּמַה־יׇּפְיוֹu/MA-yof/YOand how great is His beautyדָּגָןda/GANgrainבַּחוּרִיםba/chu/RIMthe young menוְתִירוֹשׁve/ti/ROSHand new wineיְנוֹבֵבye/no/VEVshall make cheerfulבְּתֻלוֹת׃be/tu/LOTthe maids

    For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.
