   וַיְהִיvay/HIand cameדְּבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   Again the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying,

   כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsקִנֵּאתִיkin/NE/tiI have been jealousלְצִיּוֹןle/Tsiy/YONfor Zionקִנְאָהkin/Awith jealousyגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatוְחֵמָהve/che/MAand with furyגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatקִנֵּאתִיkin/NE/tiI have been jealousלָהּ׃lafor her

   Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.

   כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDשַׁבְתִּיSHAV/tiI have returnedאֶל־צִיּוֹןel-Tsiy/YONto Zionוְשָׁכַנְתִּיve/sha/khan/TIand I will dwellבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemוְנִקְרְאָהve/nik/re/Aand shall be calledיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemעִירirthe city ofהָאֱמֶתha/e/METtruthוְהַר־יְהֹוָהve/HAR-Adonaiand the mountain of the LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsהַרharthe mountain ofהַקֹּדֶשׁ׃hak/KO/deshholiness

   Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.

   Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.

   וּרְחֹבוֹתu/re/cho/VOTand the streets ofהָעִירha/IRthe cityיִמָּלְאוּyim/ma/le/Ushall be full ofיְלָדִיםye/la/DIMboysוִילָדוֹתvi/la/DOTand girlsמְשַׂחֲקִיםme/sa/cha/KIMplayingבִּרְחֹבֹתֶיהָ׃bir/cho/vo/TE/hain her streets

   And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.

   כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsכִּיkiifיִפָּלֵאyip/pa/LEit be marvelousבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofשְׁאֵרִיתshe/e/RITthe remnant ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisבַּיָּמִיםbay/ya/MIMin the daysהָהֵםha/HEMthoseגַּם־בְּעֵינַיgam-be/e/NAYalso in my eyesיִפָּלֵאyip/pa/LEshould it be marvelousנְאֻםne/UMsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹת׃tse/va/OTof hosts

   Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts.

7. 7

   כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iמוֹשִׁיעַmo/SHI/awill saveאֶת־עַמִּיet-am/MImy peopleמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsfrom the land ofמִזְרָחmiz/RACHthe eastוּמֵאֶרֶץu/me/E/retsand from the land ofמְבוֹאme/VOthe going down ofהַשָּׁמֶשׁ׃hash/SHA/meshthe sun

   Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;

8. 8

   וְהֵבֵאתִיve/he/ve/TIand I will bringאֹתָםo/TAMthemוְשָׁכְנוּve/sha/khe/NUand they shall dwellבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemוְהָיוּ־לִיve/ha/YU-liand they shall be to meלְעָםle/AMa peopleוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֶהְיֶהeh/YEwill beלָהֶםla/HEMtheirלֵאלֹהִיםle/lo/HIMGodבֶּאֱמֶתbe/e/METin truthוּבִצְדָקָה׃u/vits/da/KAand with righteousness

   And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.

   כֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsתֶּחֱזַקְנָהte/che/ZAK/nalet be strongיְדֵיכֶםye/de/KHEMyour handsהַשֹּׁמְעִיםhash/shom/IMyou that hearבַּיָּמִיםbay/ya/MIMin the daysהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֵת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseמִפִּיmip/PIfrom the mouth ofהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMthe prophetsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich wereבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the dayיֻסַּדyus/SADwas laid the foundation ofבֵּית־יְהֹוָהbet-Adonaithe house of the LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsהַהֵיכָלha/he/KHALthe templeלְהִבָּנוֹת׃le/hib/ba/NOTthat it might be built

   Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.

    כִּיkiforלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMthe daysהָהֵםha/HEMthoseשְׂכַרse/KHARhire forהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmanלֹאlonotנִהְיָהnih/YAthere wasוּשְׂכַרu/se/KHARnor hire forהַבְּהֵמָהhab/be/he/MAbeastאֵינֶנָּהe/NEN/nais notוְלַיּוֹצֵאve/lay/yo/TSEneither to him that went outוְלַבָּאve/lab/BAor came inאֵין־שָׁלוֹםen-sha/LOMthere is no peaceמִן־הַצָּרmin-hats/TSARbecause of the adversaryוַאֲשַׁלַּחva/a/shal/LACHfor I setאֶת־כׇּל־הָאָדָםet-kol-ha/a/DAMall menאִישׁishevery oneבְּרֵעֵהוּ׃be/re/E/huagainst his neighbor

    For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour.

11. 11

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAbut nowלֹאlonotכַיָּמִיםkhay/ya/MIMas in the daysהָרִאשֹׁנִיםha/ri/sho/NIMformerאֲנִיa/NIwill I beלִשְׁאֵרִיתlish/e/RITto the remnant ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisנְאֻםne/UMsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹת׃tse/va/OTof hosts

    But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the LORD of hosts.

12. 12

    כִּי־זֶרַעki-ZE/rafor the seed ofהַשָּׁלוֹםhash/sha/LOMpeaceהַגֶּפֶןhag/GE/fenthe vineתִּתֵּןtit/TENshall giveפִּרְיָהּpir/YAits fruitוְהָאָרֶץve/ha/A/retsand the groundתִּתֵּןtit/TENshall giveאֶת־יְבוּלָהּet-ye/vu/LAits produceוְהַשָּׁמַיִםve/hash/sha/MA/yimand the heavensיִתְּנוּyit/te/NUshall giveטַלָּםtal/LAMtheir dewוְהִנְחַלְתִּיve/hin/chal/TIand I will cause to possessאֶת־שְׁאֵרִיתet-she/e/RITthe remnant ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֶת־כׇּל־אֵלֶּה׃et-kol-EL/leall these things

    For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.

13. 13

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERthat asהֱיִיתֶםhe/yi/TEMyou wereקְלָלָהke/la/LAa curseבַּגּוֹיִםbag/go/YIMamong the nationsבֵּיתbetO house ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוּבֵיתu/VETand O house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelכֵּןkensoאוֹשִׁיעַo/SHI/awill I saveאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouוִהְיִיתֶםvih/yi/TEMand you shall beבְּרָכָהbe/ra/KHAa blessingאַל־תִּירָאוּal-ti/RA/ufear notתֶּחֱזַקְנָהte/che/ZAK/nalet be strongיְדֵיכֶם׃ye/de/KHEMyour hands

    And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.

14. 14

    כִּיkiforכֹהkhothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasזָמַמְתִּיza/MAM/tiI thoughtלְהָרַעle/ha/RAto punishלָכֶםla/KHEMyouבְּהַקְצִיףbe/hak/TSIFwhen provoked to wrathאֲבֹתֵיכֶםa/vo/te/KHEMyour fathersאֹתִיo/TImeאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsוְלֹאve/LOand notנִחָמְתִּי׃ni/CHAM/tiI repented

    For thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not:

15. 15

    כֵּןkensoשַׁבְתִּיSHAV/tiagain have Iזָמַמְתִּיza/MAM/tiI thoughtבַּיָּמִיםbay/ya/MIMin the daysהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseלְהֵיטִיבle/he/TIVto do goodאֶת־יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםet-Ye/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemוְאֶת־בֵּיתve/ET-betand to the house ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahאַל־תִּירָאוּ׃al-ti/RA/ufear not

    So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.

16. 16

    אֵלֶּהEL/lethese areהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתַּעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou shall doדַּבְּרוּdab/be/RUspeakאֱמֶתe/METtruthאִישׁishevery manאֶת־רֵעֵהוּet-re/E/huto his neighborאֱמֶתe/METtruthוּמִשְׁפַּטu/mish/PATand the judgment ofשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceשִׁפְטוּshif/TUjudgeבְּשַׁעֲרֵיכֶם׃be/sha/a/re/KHEMin your gates

    These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:

17. 17

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand a manאֶת־רָעַתet-ra/ATevil againstרֵעֵהוּre/E/huhis neighborאַל־תַּחְשְׁבוּal-tach/she/VUdevise notבִּלְבַבְכֶםbil/vav/KHEMin your heartsוּשְׁבֻעַתu/she/VU/atand the oath ofשֶׁקֶרSHE/kerfalsehoodאַל־תֶּאֱהָבוּal-te/e/HA/vudo not loveכִּיkiforאֶת־כׇּל־אֵלֶּהet-kol-EL/leall theseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERare things thatשָׂנֵאתִיsa/NE/tiI hateנְאֻם־יְהֹוָה׃ne/UM-Adonaisays the LORD

    And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.

18. 18

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand cameדְּבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsאֵלַיe/LAYto meלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And the word of the LORD of hosts came unto me, saying,

19. 19

    כֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsצוֹםtsomthe fast ofהָרְבִיעִיha/re/vi/Ithe fourthוְצוֹםve/TSOMand the fast ofהַחֲמִישִׁיha/cha/mi/SHIthe fifthוְצוֹםve/TSOMand the fast ofהַשְּׁבִיעִיhash/she/vi/Ithe seventhוְצוֹםve/TSOMand the fast ofהָעֲשִׂירִיha/a/si/RIthe tenthיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beלְבֵית־יְהוּדָהle/VET-ye/hu/DAto the house of Judahלְשָׂשׂוֹןle/sa/SONfor joyוּלְשִׂמְחָהu/le/sim/CHAand gladnessוּלְמֹעֲדִיםu/le/mo/a/DIMand feastsטוֹבִיםto/VIMgoodוְהָאֱמֶתve/ha/e/METtherefore the truthוְהַשָּׁלוֹםve/hash/sha/LOMand peaceאֱהָבוּ׃e/HA/vulove

    Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.

20. 20

    כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsעֹדodyetאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיָבֹאוּya/VO/ushall comeעַמִּיםam/MIMpeoplesוְיֹשְׁבֵיve/yosh/VEand the inhabitants ofעָרִיםa/RIMcitiesרַבּוֹת׃rab/BOTmany

    Thus saith the LORD of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:

21. 21

    וְהָלְכוּve/ha/le/KHUand shall goיוֹשְׁבֵיyosh/VEthe inhabitants ofאַחַתa/CHATone cityאֶל־אַחַתel-a/CHATto anotherלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingנֵלְכָהnel/KHAlet us goהָלוֹךְha/LOKHgoלְחַלּוֹתle/chal/LOTto entreatאֶת־פְּנֵיet-pe/NEthe face ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוּלְבַקֵּשׁu/le/vak/KESHand to seekאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsאֵלְכָהel/KHAI will goגַּם־אָנִי׃gam-A/nialso I

    And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.

22. 22

    וּבָאוּu/VA/uand shall comeעַמִּיםam/MIMpeoplesרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוְגוֹיִםve/go/YIMand nationsעֲצוּמִיםa/tsu/MIMstrongלְבַקֵּשׁle/vak/KESHto seekאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsבִּירוּשָׁלָ͏ִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemוּלְחַלּוֹתu/le/chal/LOTand to entreatאֶת־פְּנֵיet-pe/NEthe face ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.

23. 23

    כֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsבַּיָּמִיםbay/ya/MIMin the daysהָהֵמָּהha/HEM/mathoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיַחֲזִיקוּya/cha/ZI/kushall take holdעֲשָׂרָהa/sa/RAtenאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenמִכֹּלmik/KOLout of allלְשֹׁנוֹתle/sho/NOTthe languages ofהַגּוֹיִםhag/go/YIMthe nationsוְהֶחֱזִיקוּve/he/che/ZI/kueven shall take holdבִּכְנַףbikh/NAFof the skirt ofאִישׁisha manיְהוּדִיYe/hu/DIthat is a Jewלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingנֵלְכָהnel/KHAlet us goעִמָּכֶםim/ma/KHEMwith youכִּיkiforשָׁמַעְנוּsha/MA/nuwe have heardאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGod isעִמָּכֶם׃im/ma/KHEMwith you

    Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.
