Zechariah 6 זְכַרְיָה פרק ו׳

1. 1

   וָאָשֻׁבva/a/SHUVand I turnedוָאֶשָּׂאva/es/SAand lifted upעֵינַיe/NAYmy eyesוָאֶרְאֶהva/er/Eand lookedוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאַרְבַּעar/BAfourמַרְכָּבוֹתmar/ka/VOTchariotsיֹצְאוֹתyots/OTcame outמִבֵּיןmib/BENfrom betweenשְׁנֵיshe/NEtwoהֶהָרִיםhe/ha/RIMmountainsוְהֶהָרִיםve/he/ha/RIMand the mountains wereהָרֵיha/REmountains ofנְחֹשֶׁת׃ne/CHO/shetbrass

   And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.

   בַּמֶּרְכָּבָהbam/mer/ka/VAin the chariotהָרִאשֹׁנָהha/ri/sho/NAfirstסוּסִיםsu/SIMhorsesאֲדֻמִּיםa/dum/MIMredוּבַמֶּרְכָּבָהu/vam/mer/ka/VAand in the chariotהַשֵּׁנִיתhash/she/NITsecondסוּסִיםsu/SIMhorsesשְׁחֹרִים׃she/cho/RIMblack

   In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses;

   וּבַמֶּרְכָּבָהu/vam/mer/ka/VAand in the chariotהַשְּׁלִשִׁיתhash/she/li/SHITthirdסוּסִיםsu/SIMhorsesלְבָנִיםle/va/NIMwhiteוּבַמֶּרְכָּבָהu/vam/mer/ka/VAand in the chariotהָרְבִעִיתha/re/vi/ITfourthסוּסִיםsu/SIMhorsesבְּרֻדִּיםbe/rud/DIMgrisledאֲמֻצִּים׃a/muts/TSIMstrong

   And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses.

   וָאַעַןva/A/anand I answeredוָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidאֶל־הַמַּלְאָךְel-ham/mal/AKHto the angelהַדֹּבֵרhad/do/VERthat talkedבִּיbiwith meמָה־אֵלֶּהma-EL/lewhat are theseאֲדֹנִי׃a/do/NImy lord

   Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord?

   וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand he answeredהַמַּלְאָךְham/mal/AKHthe angelוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיe/LAYto meאֵלֶּהEL/lethese areאַרְבַּעar/BAfourרוּחוֹתru/CHOTspirits ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensיוֹצְאוֹתyots/OTwhich go forthמֵהִתְיַצֵּבme/hit/yats/TSEVfrom presenting themselvesעַל־אֲדוֹןal-a/DONbefore the Lord ofכׇּל־הָאָרֶץ׃kol-ha/A/retsall the earth

   And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.

   אֲשֶׁר־בָּהּa/SHER-bathe one in whichהַסּוּסִיםhas/su/SIMthe horsesהַשְּׁחֹרִיםhash/she/cho/RIMblackיֹצְאִיםyots/IMgo forthאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsinto the land ofצָפוֹןtsa/FONthe northוְהַלְּבָנִיםve/hal/le/va/NIMand the whiteיָצְאוּya/tse/Ugo forthאֶל־אַחֲרֵיהֶםel-a/cha/re/HEMafter themוְהַבְּרֻדִּיםve/hab/be/rud/DIMand the grisledיָצְאוּya/tse/Ugo forthאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsinto the land ofהַתֵּימָן׃hat/te/MANthe south

   The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country.

   וְהָאֲמֻצִּיםve/ha/a/muts/TSIMand the strongיָצְאוּya/tse/Uwent forthוַיְבַקְשׁוּvay/vak/SHUand soughtלָלֶכֶתla/LE/khetto goלְהִתְהַלֵּךְle/hit/hal/LEKHto walk to and froבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsthrough the earthוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלְכוּle/KHUgoהִתְהַלְּכוּhit/hal/le/KHUwalk to and froבָאָרֶץva/A/retsthrough the earthוַתִּתְהַלַּכְנָהvat/tit/hal/LAKH/naso they walked to and froבָּאָרֶץ׃ba/A/retsthrough the earth

   And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.

   וַיַּזְעֵקvay/yaz/EKthen cried he toאֹתִיo/TImeוַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeאֵלַיe/LAYto meלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingרְאֵהre/Ebeholdהַיּוֹצְאִיםhay/yots/IMthose that goאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsto the land ofצָפוֹןtsa/FONthe northהֵנִיחוּhe/NI/chuhave quietedאֶת־רוּחִיet-ru/CHImy spiritבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofצָפוֹן׃tsa/FONthe north

   Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand cameדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

    לָקוֹחַla/KO/achtakeמֵאֵתme/ETfromהַגּוֹלָהhag/go/LAthe captivityמֵחֶלְדַּיme/Chel/DAYfrom Heldaiוּמֵאֵתu/me/ETand fromטוֹבִיָּהTo/viy/YATobiahוּמֵאֵתu/me/ETand fromיְדַעְיָהYe/da/YAJedaiahוּבָאתָu/VA/taand goאַתָּהat/TAyouבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatוּבָאתָu/VA/taand goבֵּיתbetinto the house ofיֹאשִׁיָּהYo/shiy/YAJosiahבֶן־צְפַנְיָהven-Tse/fan/YAthe son of Zephaniahאֲשֶׁר־בָּאוּa/SHER-BA/uwho are comeמִבָּבֶל׃mib/Ba/VELfrom Babylon

    Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;

    וְלָקַחְתָּve/la/kach/TAthen takeכֶסֶף־וְזָהָבKHE/sef-ve/za/HAVsilver and goldוְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand makeעֲטָרוֹתa/ta/ROTcrownsוְשַׂמְתָּve/sam/TAand set themבְּרֹאשׁbe/ROSHupon the head ofיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaבֶּן־יְהוֹצָדָקben-Ye/ho/tsa/DAKthe son of Jehozadakהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestהַגָּדוֹל׃hag/ga/DOLthe high

    Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;

    וְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהִנֵּה־אִישׁhin/NE-ishbehold the manצֶמַחTSE/machthe Branchשְׁמוֹshe/MOis his nameוּמִתַּחְתָּיוu/mit/tach/TAYVand out of his placeיִצְמָחyits/MACHhe shall grow upוּבָנָהu/va/NAand he shall buildאֶת־הֵיכַלet-he/KHALthe temple ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:

13. 13

    וְהוּאve/HUeven heיִבְנֶהyiv/NEshall buildאֶת־הֵיכַלet-he/KHALthe temple ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְהוּא־יִשָּׂאve/HU-yis/SAand he shall bearהוֹדhodthe gloryוְיָשַׁבve/ya/SHAVand shall sitוּמָשַׁלu/ma/SHALand ruleעַל־כִּסְאוֹal-kis/Oupon his throneוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand he shall beכֹהֵןkho/HENa priestעַל־כִּסְאוֹal-kis/Oupon his throneוַעֲצַתva/a/TSATand the counsel ofשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beבֵּיןbenbetweenשְׁנֵיהֶם׃she/ne/HEMthem both

    Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

14. 14

    וְהָעֲטָרֹתve/ha/a/ta/ROTand the crownsתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beלְחֵלֶםle/CHE/lemto Helemוּלְטוֹבִיָּהu/Le/to/viy/YAand to Tobiahוְלִידַעְיָהve/Li/da/YAand to Jedaiahוּלְחֵןu/Le/CHENand to Henבֶּן־צְפַנְיָהben-Tse/fan/YAthe son of Zephaniahלְזִכָּרוֹןle/zik/ka/RONfor a memorialבְּהֵיכַלbe/he/KHALin the temple ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD.

15. 15

    וּרְחוֹקִיםu/re/cho/KIMand they that are far offיָבֹאוּya/VO/ushall comeוּבָנוּu/va/NUand buildבְּהֵיכַלbe/he/KHALin the temple ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוִידַעְתֶּםvi/da/TEMand you shall knowכִּי־יְהֹוָהki-Adonaithat the LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsשְׁלָחַנִיshe/la/CHA/nihas sent meאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beאִם־שָׁמוֹעַim-sha/MO/aif hearkenתִּשְׁמְעוּןtish/me/UNyou will hearkenבְּקוֹלbe/KOLto the voice ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃e/lo/he/KHEMyour God

    And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.
