Zechariah 5 זְכַרְיָה פרק ה׳

1. 1

   וָאָשׁוּבand returnedוָאֶשָּׂאand I took upעֵינַיmy eyesוָאֶרְאֶהand I sawוְהִנֵּהand beholdמְגִלָּהa scrollעָפָה׃flying

   Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll.

2. 2

   וַיֹּאמֶרand saidאֵלַיto meמָהwhatאַתָּהyouרֹאֶהseeוָאֹמַרand I saidאֲנִיIרֹאֶהseeמְגִלָּהa scrollעָפָהflyingאׇרְכָּהּits lengthעֶשְׂרִיםtwentyבָּאַמָּהby the cubitוְרׇחְבָּהּand its breadthעֶשֶׂרtenבָּאַמָּה׃by the cubit

   And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.

   וַיֹּאמֶרand saidאֵלַיto meזֹאתthisהָאָלָהthe curseהַיּוֹצֵאתthe one which is about to go forthעַל־פְּנֵיupon the face ofכׇל־הָאָרֶץall the earthכִּיforכׇל־הַגֹּנֵבall the one who stealsמִזֶּהfrom hereכָּמוֹהָher likeנִקָּהshall be cut offוְכׇל־הַנִּשְׁבָּעand all the one who swears an oathמִזֶּהfrom hereכָּמוֹהָher likeנִקָּה׃shall be cut off

   Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.

   הוֹצֵאתִיהָI will send forth itנְאֻםsaysיְהֹוָהthe LORDצְבָאוֹתof Hostsוּבָאָהand comesאֶל־בֵּיתto the house ofהַגַּנָּבthe thiefוְאֶל־בֵּיתand house ofהַנִּשְׁבָּעthe one who swears an oathבִּשְׁמִיin My nameלַשָּׁקֶרto the falsehoodוְלָנֶהand it will lodgeבְּתוֹךְamongבֵּיתוֹhis houseוְכִלַּתּוּand it will destroy itוְאֶת־עֵצָיוand its woodוְאֶת־אֲבָנָיו׃and its stones

   I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.

   וַיֵּצֵאand went outהַמַּלְאָךְthe angelהַדֹּבֵרthe one who spokeבִּיwith meוַיֹּאמֶרand saidאֵלַיto meשָׂאlift upנָאI prayעֵינֶיךָyour eyesוּרְאֵהand beholdמָהwhatהַיּוֹצֵאתthe one which is about to go forthהַזֹּאת׃this

   Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth.

6. 6

   וָאֹמַרand I saidמַה־הִיאwhat it isוַיֹּאמֶרand saidזֹאתthisהָאֵיפָהthe ephahהַיּוֹצֵאתthe one which is about to go forthוַיֹּאמֶרand saidזֹאתthisעֵינָםtheir resemblanceבְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץ׃in all the land

   And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth.

7. 7

   וְהִנֵּהand beholdכִּכַּרa talent ofעֹפֶרֶתleadנִשֵּׂאתwas lifted upוְזֹאתand thisאִשָּׁהa womanאַחַתoneיוֹשֶׁבֶתthat sittethבְּתוֹךְamongהָאֵיפָה׃the ephah

   And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah.

8. 8

   וַיֹּאמֶרand saidזֹאתthisהָרִשְׁעָהthe wickednessוַיַּשְׁלֵךְand he castאֹתָהּitאֶל־תּוֹךְdown intoהָאֵיפָהthe ephahוַיַּשְׁלֵךְand he castאֶת־אֶבֶןstoneהָעוֹפֶרֶתthe leadאֶל־פִּיהָ׃to its mouth

   And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.

   וָאֶשָּׂאand I took upעֵינַיmy eyesוָאֵרֶאand I sawוְהִנֵּהand beholdשְׁתַּיִםtwoנָשִׁיםwomenיוֹצְאוֹתwere going forthוְרוּחַand the windבְּכַנְפֵיהֶםwith their wingsוְלָהֵנָּהand to themכְנָפַיִםwingsכְּכַנְפֵיlike the wings ofהַחֲסִידָהthe storkוַתִּשֶּׂאנָהand they raisedאֶת־הָאֵיפָהthe ephahבֵּיןamongהָאָרֶץthe earthוּבֵיןand betweenהַשָּׁמָיִם׃the heavens

   Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.

    וָאֹמַרand I saidאֶל־הַמַּלְאָךְto the angelהַדֹּבֵרthe one who spokeבִּיwith meאָנָהwhitherהֵמָּהtheyמוֹלִכוֹתtakingאֶת־הָאֵיפָה׃the ephah

    Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah?

11. 11

    וַיֹּאמֶרand saidאֵלַיto meלִבְנוֹת־לָהֿto build for itבַיִתhouseבְּאֶרֶץin the land ofשִׁנְעָרShinarוְהוּכַןand it will be establishedוְהֻנִּיחָהand it will be placedשָּׁםthereעַל־מְכֻנָתָהּ׃upon its on own stand

    And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.
