Zechariah 11 זְכַרְיָה פרק י״א

   פְּתַחpe/TACHopenלְבָנוֹןle/Va/NONO Lebanonדְּלָתֶיךָde/la/TE/khayour doorsוְתֹאכַלve/to/KHALthat may devourאֵשׁeshthe fireבַּאֲרָזֶיךָ׃ba/a/ra/ZE/khayour cedars

   Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.

2. 2

   הֵילֵלhe/LELhowlבְּרוֹשׁbe/ROSHO cypressכִּי־נָפַלki-na/FALfor is fallenאֶרֶזE/rezthe cedarאֲשֶׁרa/SHERbecauseאַדִּרִיםad/di/RIMthe mightyשֻׁדָּדוּshud/DA/duare spoiledהֵילִילוּhe/LI/luhowlאַלּוֹנֵיal/lo/NEO oaks ofבָשָׁןVa/SHANBashanכִּיkiforיָרַדya/RADis come downיַעַרYA/arthe forest of[הַבָּצִיר]׃hab/ba/TSIRthe vintage

   Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down.

   קוֹלkola voice ofיִלְלַתyil/LATthe howling ofהָרֹעִיםha/ro/IMthe shepherdsכִּיkiforשֻׁדְּדָהshud/de/DAis spoiledאַדַּרְתָּםad/dar/TAMtheir gloryקוֹלkola voice ofשַׁאֲגַתsha/a/GATthe roaring ofכְּפִירִיםke/fi/RIMyoung lionsכִּיkiforשֻׁדַּדshud/DADis spoiledגְּאוֹןge/ONthe pride ofהַיַּרְדֵּן׃hay/Yar/DENthe Jordan

   There is a voice of the howling of the shepherds; for their glory is spoiled: a voice of the roaring of young lions; for the pride of Jordan is spoiled.

   כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהָיe/lo/HAYmy Godרְעֵהre/Efeedאֶת־צֹאןet-tsonthe flock ofהַהֲרֵגָה׃ha/ha/re/GAthe slaughter

   Thus saith the LORD my God; Feed the flock of the slaughter;

   אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseקֹנֵיהֶןko/ne/HENbuyersיַהַרְגֻןya/har/GUNslay themוְלֹאve/LOand notיֶאְשָׁמוּye/SHA/muhold themselves guiltyוּמֹכְרֵיהֶןu/mokh/re/HENand they that sell themיֹאמַרyo/MARsayבָּרוּךְba/RUKHblessedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַאעְשִׁרva/e/SHIRfor I am richוְרֹעֵיהֶםve/ro/e/HEMand their own shepherdsלֹאlonotיַחְמוֹלyach/MOLpityעֲלֵיהֶן׃a/le/HENthem

   Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed be the LORD; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not.

   כִּיkiforלֹאlonotאֶחְמוֹלech/MOLwill I pityעוֹדodany moreעַל־יֹשְׁבֵיal-yosh/VEthe inhabitants ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIמַמְצִיאmam/TSIwill deliverאֶת־הָאָדָםet-ha/a/DAMthe menאִישׁishevery oneבְּיַד־רֵעֵהוּbe/YAD-re/E/huinto his neighbor's handוּבְיַדu/ve/YADand into the hand ofמַלְכּוֹmal/KOhis kingוְכִתְּתוּve/khit/te/TUand they shall smiteאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landוְלֹאve/LOand notאַצִּילats/TSILwill I deliverמִיָּדָם׃miy/ya/DAMout of their hand

   For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour's hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.

   וָאֶרְעֶהva/er/Eand I fedאֶת־צֹאןet-tsonthe flock ofהַהֲרֵגָהha/ha/re/GAslaughterלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeעֲנִיֵּיa/niy/YEthe poor ofהַצֹּאןhats/TSONthe flockוָאֶקַּח־לִיva/ek/KACH-liand I took to meשְׁנֵיshe/NEtwoמַקְלוֹתmak/LOTstavesלְאַחַדle/a/CHADthe oneקָרָאתִיka/RA/tiI calledנֹעַםNO/amBeautyוּלְאַחַדu/le/a/CHADand the otherקָרָאתִיka/RA/tiI calledחֹבְלִיםChov/LIMBandsוָאֶרְעֶהva/er/Eand I fedאֶת־הַצֹּאן׃et-hats/TSONthe flock

   And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.

   וָאַכְחִדva/akh/CHIDand I cut offאֶת־שְׁלֹשֶׁתet-she/LO/shetthreeהָרֹעִיםha/ro/IMshepherdsבְּיֶרַחbe/YE/rachin monthאֶחָדe/CHADoneוַתִּקְצַרvat/tik/TSARand was shortנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulבָּהֶםba/HEMwith themוְגַם־נַפְשָׁםve/GAM-naf/SHAMand their soul alsoבָּחֲלָהba/cha/LAabhorredבִי׃vime

   Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred me.

9. 9

   וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidלֹאlonotאֶרְעֶהer/Ewill I feedאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouהַמֵּתָהham/me/TAthat which diesתָמוּתta/MUTlet it dieוְהַנִּכְחֶדֶתve/han/nikh/CHE/detand that which is to be cut offתִּכָּחֵדtik/ka/CHEDlet it be cut offוְהַנִּשְׁאָרוֹתve/han/nish/a/ROTand let the restתֹּאכַלְנָהto/KHAL/naeatאִשָּׁהish/SHAevery oneאֶת־בְּשַׂרet-be/SARthe flesh ofרְעוּתָהּ׃re/u/TAanother

   Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.

    וָאֶקַּחva/ek/KACHand I tookאֶת־מַקְלִיet-mak/LImy staffאֶת־נֹעַםet-NO/ameven Beautyוָאֶגְדַּעva/eg/DAand cut asunderאֹתוֹo/TOitלְהָפֵירle/ha/FERthat I might breakאֶת־בְּרִיתִיet-be/ri/TImy covenantאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichכָּרַתִּיka/RAT/tiI had madeאֶת־כׇּל־הָעַמִּים׃et-kol-ha/am/MIMwith all the peoples

    And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people.

11. 11

    וַתֻּפַרvat/tu/FARand it was brokenבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatוַיֵּדְעוּvay/yed/Uand so knewכֵןkhensoעֲנִיֵּיa/niy/YEthe poor ofהַצֹּאןhats/TSONthe flockהַשֹּׁמְרִיםhash/shom/RIMthat waited uponאֹתִיo/TImeכִּיkithatדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDהוּא׃huit was

    And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD.

12. 12

    וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themאִם־טוֹבim-tovif goodבְּעֵינֵיכֶםbe/e/ne/KHEMin your eyesהָבוּha/VUgive meשְׂכָרִיse/kha/RImy priceוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loand if notחֲדָלוּcha/DA/luforbearוַיִּשְׁקְלוּvay/yish/ke/LUso they weighedאֶת־שְׂכָרִיet-se/kha/RIfor my priceשְׁלֹשִׁיםshe/lo/SHIMthirtyכָּסֶף׃KA/sefpieces of silver

    And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meהַשְׁלִיכֵהוּhash/li/KHE/hucast itאֶל־הַיּוֹצֵרel-hay/yo/TSERto the potterאֶדֶרE/dera goodlyהַיְקָרhay/KARpriceאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיָקַרְתִּיya/KAR/tiI was prized atמֵעֲלֵיהֶםme/a/le/HEMof themוָאֶקְחָהva/ek/CHAand I tookשְׁלֹשִׁיםshe/lo/SHIMthirtyהַכֶּסֶףhak/KE/sefpieces of silverוָאַשְׁלִיךְva/ash/LIKHand castאֹתוֹo/TOthemבֵּיתbetin the house ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־הַיּוֹצֵר׃el-hay/yo/TSERto the potter

    And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.

14. 14

    וָאֶגְדַּעva/eg/DAthen I cut asunderאֶת־מַקְלִיet-mak/LImy staffהַשֵּׁנִיhash/she/NIthe secondאֵת־הַחֹבְלִיםet-Ha/chov/LIMeven Bandsלְהָפֵרle/ha/FERthat I might breakאֶת־הָאַחֲוָהet-ha/a/cha/VAthe brotherhoodבֵּיןbenbetweenיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוּבֵיןu/VENand betweenיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

15. 15

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֵלָיe/LAYto meעוֹדodyetקַח־לְךָkach-le/KHAtake to yourselfכְּלִיke/LIthe instruments ofרֹעֶהro/Ea shepherdאֱוִלִי׃e/vi/LIfoolish

    And the LORD said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.

16. 16

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּה־אָנֹכִיhin/NE-a/no/KHIfor lo Iמֵקִיםme/KIMwill raise upרֹעֶהro/Ea shepherdבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landהַנִּכְחָדוֹתhan/nikh/cha/DOTthose that be cut offלֹא־יִפְקֹדlo-yif/KODwho shall not visitהַנַּעַרhan/NA/arthe young oneלֹא־יְבַקֵּשׁlo-ye/vak/KESHshall not seekוְהַנִּשְׁבֶּרֶתve/han/nish/BE/retand that which is brokenלֹאlonotיְרַפֵּאye/rap/PEhealהַנִּצָּבָהhan/nits/TSA/vathat which stands stillלֹאlonotיְכַלְכֵּלye/khal/KELfeedוּבְשַׂרu/ve/SARand the meat ofהַבְּרִיאָהhab/be/ri/Athe fatיֹאכַלyo/KHALhe shall eatוּפַרְסֵיהֶןu/far/se/HENand their clawsיְפָרֵק׃ye/fa/REKtear in pieces

    For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.

    הוֹיhoywoe toרֹעִיro/Ithe shepherdהָאֱלִילha/e/LILworthlessעֹזְבִיoz/VIthat leavesהַצֹּאןhats/TSONthe flockחֶרֶבCHE/revthe swordעַל־זְרוֹעוֹal-ze/ro/Oupon his armוְעַל־עֵיןve/AL-enand upon the eye ofיְמִינוֹye/mi/NOhis rightזְרֹעוֹze/ro/Ohis armיָבוֹשׁya/VOSHdry upתִּיבָשׁti/VASHshall be dried upוְעֵיןve/ENand the eye ofיְמִינוֹye/mi/NOhis rightכָּהֹהka/HOdarkenתִכְהֶה׃tikh/HEshall be darkened

    Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.
