    שׁוּבִיreturnשׁוּבִיreturnהַשּׁוּלַמִּיתthe Shulamite womanשׁוּבִיreturnשׁוּבִיreturnוְנֶחֱזֶה־בָּךְso we may look in youמַה־תֶּחֱזוּwhat will you lookבַּשּׁוּלַמִּיתon the Shulamite womanכִּמְחֹלַתlike the dance ofהַמַּחֲנָיִם׃the two groups

    Return, return, O Shulamite; return, return, that we may look upon thee. What will ye see in the Shulamite? As it were the company of two armies.

    מַה־יָּפוּhow beautiful areפְעָמַיִךְyour feetבַּנְּעָלִיםwith sandalsבַּת־נָדִיבdaughter of a nobleחַמּוּקֵיthe curves ofיְרֵכַיִךְyour thighsכְּמוֹlikeחֲלָאִיםjewelsמַעֲשֵׂהwork ofיְדֵיhands ofאׇמָּן׃a skilled workman

    How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince's daughter! the joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman.

    שׇׁרְרֵךְyour navelאַגַּןthe bowl ofהַסַּהַרthe roundnessאַל־יֶחְסַרdo not failהַמָּזֶגthe mixed wineבִּטְנֵךְyour bellyעֲרֵמַתa heap ofחִטִּיםwheatסוּגָהfenced aroundבַּשּׁוֹשַׁנִּים׃among the lilies

    Thy navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not liquor: thy belly is like an heap of wheat set about with lilies.

    שְׁנֵיtwoשָׁדַיִךְyour breastsכִּשְׁנֵיas twoעֳפָרִיםfawnsתׇּאֳמֵיtwins ofצְבִיָּה׃a gazelle

    Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins.

    צַוָּארֵךְyour neckכְּמִגְדַּלlike the tower ofהַשֵּׁןivoryעֵינַיִךְyour eyesבְּרֵכוֹתpools ofבְּחֶשְׁבּוֹןin Heshbonעַל־שַׁעַרupon the gate ofבַּת־רַבִּיםBath-rabbimאַפֵּךְyour noseכְּמִגְדַּלlike the tower ofהַלְּבָנוֹןLebanonצוֹפֶהis watchingפְּנֵיface ofדַמָּשֶׂק׃Damascus

    Thy neck is as a tower of ivory; thine eyes like the fishpools in Heshbon, by the gate of Bath-rabbim: thy nose is as the tower of Lebanon which looketh toward Damascus.

    רֹאשֵׁךְyour headעָלַיִךְupon youכַּכַּרְמֶלis like Carmelוְדַלַּתand the hair ofרֹאשֵׁךְyour headכָּאַרְגָּמָןis like purple woolמֶלֶךְthe king ofאָסוּרboundבָּרְהָטִים׃by the tresses

    Thine head upon thee is like Carmel, and the hair of thine head like purple; the king is held in the galleries.

    מַה־יָּפִיתhow fair you areוּמַה־נָּעַמְתְּand how pleasant you areאַהֲבָהloveבַּתַּעֲנוּגִים׃with the delights

    How fair and how pleasant art thou, O love, for delights!

    זֹאתthisקוֹמָתֵךְyour statureדָּמְתָהit is likeלְתָמָרto a palm treeוְשָׁדַיִךְand your breastsלְאַשְׁכֹּלוֹת׃to clusters

    This thy stature is like to a palm tree, and thy breasts to clusters of grapes.

    אָמַרְתִּיI saidאֶעֱלֶהI will ascendבְתָמָרon the palm treeאֹחֲזָהI will take holdבְּסַנְסִנָּיוon its fruit stalksוְיִהְיוּ־נָאand they were I prayשָׁדַיִךְyour breastsכְּאֶשְׁכְּלוֹתlike the clusters ofהַגֶּפֶןthe vineוְרֵיחַand the aroma ofאַפֵּךְyour noseכַּתַּפּוּחִים׃like the apples

    I said, I will go up to the palm tree, I will take hold of the boughs thereof: now also thy breasts shall be as clusters of the vine, and the smell of thy nose like apples;

    וְחִכֵּךְand your mouthכְּיֵיןlike the wine ofהַטּוֹבthe goodהוֹלֵךְgoingלְדוֹדִיto my loverלְמֵישָׁרִיםto smoothnessדּוֹבֵבwhich flows gentlyשִׂפְתֵיthe lips ofיְשֵׁנִים׃those who sleep

    And the roof of thy mouth like the best wine for my beloved, that goeth down sweetly, causing the lips of those that are asleep to speak.

    אֲנִיIלְדוֹדִיto my loverוְעָלַיand upon meתְּשׁוּקָתוֹ׃its desire

    I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me.

  12. 12

    לְכָהcomeדוֹדִיO my belovedנֵצֵאlet us go forthהַשָּׂדֶהthe fieldנָלִינָהlet us pass the nightבַּכְּפָרִים׃in the villages

    Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages.

  13. 13

    נַשְׁכִּימָהlet us rise earlyלַכְּרָמִיםto the vineyardsנִרְאֶהwe seeאִם־פָּרְחָהif it has buddedהַגֶּפֶןthe vineפִּתַּחit has openedהַסְּמָדַרthe blossomהֵנֵצוּhad they bloomedהָרִמּוֹנִיםthe pomegranatesשָׁםthereאֶתֵּןI will giveאֶת־דֹּדַיmy loveלָךְ׃to you

    Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves.

    הַדּוּדָאִיםthe mandrakesנָתְנוּ־רֵיחַthey gave smellוְעַל־פְּתָחֵינוּand upon our doorwayכׇּל־מְגָדִיםall pleasant fruitsחֲדָשִׁיםnew onesגַּם־יְשָׁנִיםalso oldדּוֹדִיmy belovedצָפַנְתִּיI have treasured upלָךְ׃to you

    The mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates are all manner of pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have laid up for thee, O my beloved.
