   יְהֹוָהthe LORDמָלָךְreignsתָּגֵלlet rejoiceהָאָרֶץthe earthיִשְׂמְחוּlet be gladאִיִּיםthe islesרַבִּים׃multitude of

   The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.

   עָנָןcloudsוַעֲרָפֶלand thick darkness areסְבִיבָיוround about Himצֶדֶקrighteousnessוּמִשְׁפָּטand judgmentמְכוֹןare the foundation ofכִּסְאוֹ׃His throne

   Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.

   אֵשׁfireלְפָנָיוbefore Himתֵּלֵךְgoesוּתְלַהֵטand burns upסָבִיבall aroundצָרָיו׃His enemies

   A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.

   הֵאִירוּlightenedבְרָקָיוHis lightningsתֵּבֵלthe worldרָאֲתָהsawוַתָּחֵלand trembledהָאָרֶץ׃the earth

   His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.

   הָרִיםthe mountainsכַּדּוֹנַגlike waxנָמַסּוּmeltedמִלִּפְנֵיfrom the presence ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDמִלִּפְנֵיfrom the presence ofאֲדוֹןthe Lord ofכׇּל־הָאָרֶץ׃all the earth

   The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

   הִגִּידוּdeclareהַשָּׁמַיִםthe heavensצִדְקוֹHis righteousnessוְרָאוּand seeכׇל־הָעַמִּיםall the peoplesכְּבוֹדוֹ׃His glory

   The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.

   יֵבֹשׁוּlet be ashamedכׇּל־עֹבְדֵיall who serveפֶסֶלgraven imagesהַמִּתְהַלְלִיםwho boast themselvesבָּאֱלִילִיםof idolsהִשְׁתַּחֲווּ־לוֹworship Himכׇּל־אֱלֹהִים׃all you gods

   Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods.

   שָׁמְעָהheardוַתִּשְׂמַחand was gladצִיּוֹןZionוַתָּגֵלְנָהand rejoicedבְּנוֹתthe daughters ofיְהוּדָהJudahלְמַעַןbecause ofמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָYour judgmentsיְהֹוָה׃O LORD

   Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD.

9. 9

   כִּי־אַתָּהfor YouיְהֹוָהO LORDעֶלְיוֹןare Most Highעַל־כׇּל־הָאָרֶץupon all the earthמְאֹדfarנַעֲלֵיתָYou are exaltedעַל־כׇּל־אֱלֹהִים׃above all gods

   For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.

    אֹהֲבֵיyou who loveיְהֹוָהthe LORDשִׂנְאוּ־רָעhate evilשֹׁמֵרHe preservesנַפְשׁוֹתthe souls ofחֲסִידָיוHis faithful onesמִיַּדfrom the hand ofרְשָׁעִיםthe wickedיַצִּילֵם׃He delivers them

    Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

11. 11

    אוֹרlight isזָרֻעַsownלַצַּדִּיקfor the righteousוּלְיִשְׁרֵי־לֵבand for the upright in heartשִׂמְחָה׃gladness

    Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

12. 12

    שִׂמְחוּrejoiceצַדִּיקִיםO you righteousבַּיהֹוָהin the LORDוְהוֹדוּand give thanksלְזֵכֶרat the remembrance ofקׇדְשׁוֹ׃His holiness

    Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
