   אֵל־נְקָמוֹתel-ne/ka/MOTO God of vengeanceיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDאֵלelO God ofנְקָמוֹתne/ka/MOTvengeanceהוֹפִיעַ׃ho/FI/ashine forth

   O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

   הִנָּשֵׂאhin/na/SElift Yourself upשֹׁפֵטsho/FETO judge ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthהָשֵׁבha/SHEVrenderגְּמוּלge/MULrecompenseעַל־גֵּאִים׃al-ge/IMto the proud

   Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

   עַד־מָתַיad-ma/TAYhow longרְשָׁעִיםre/sha/IMthe wickedיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDעַד־מָתַיad-ma/TAYhow longרְשָׁעִיםre/sha/IMthe wickedיַעֲלֹזוּ׃ya/a/LO/zushall they triumph

   LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

   יַבִּיעוּyab/BI/uthey pour outיְדַבְּרוּye/dab/be/RUthey speakעָתָקa/TAKarrogantlyיִתְאַמְּרוּyit/am/me/RUboast themselvesכׇּל־פֹּעֲלֵיkol-PO/a/leall workers ofאָוֶן׃A/veniniquity

   How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

   עַמְּךָam/me/KHAYour peopleיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDיְדַכְּאוּye/dak/ke/Uthey crushוְנַחֲלָתְךָve/na/cha/la/te/KHAand Your heritageיְעַנּוּ׃ye/an/NUthey afflict

   They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

   אַלְמָנָהal/ma/NAthe widowוְגֵרve/GERand the strangerיַהֲרֹגוּya/ha/RO/guthey slayוִיתוֹמִיםvi/to/MIMand the fatherlessיְרַצֵּחוּ׃ye/rats/TSE/chuthey murder

   They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

   וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they sayלֹאlonotיִרְאֶה־יָּהּyir/E-yadoes the LORD seeוְלֹא־יָבִיןve/LO-ya/VINnor does considerאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיַעֲקֹב׃Ya/a/KOVJacob

   Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

   בִּינוּBI/nuunderstandבֹּעֲרִיםbo/a/RIMyou senselessבָּעָםba/AMamong the peopleוּכְסִילִיםu/khe/si/LIMand foolsמָתַיma/TAYwhenתַּשְׂכִּילוּ׃tas/KI/luwill you be wise

   Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

   הֲנֹטַעha/NO/taHe who plantedאֹזֶןO/zenthe earהֲלֹאha/LOdoes notיִשְׁמָעyish/MAHe hearאִם־יֹצֵרim-YO/tserHe who formedעַיִןA/yinthe eyeהֲלֹאha/LOdoes notיַבִּיט׃yab/BITHe see

   He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

10. 10

    הֲיֹסֵרha/yo/SERHe who disciplinesגּוֹיִםgo/YIMthe nationsהֲלֹאha/LOwill notיוֹכִיחַyo/KHI/achHe rebukeהַמְלַמֵּדham/lam/MEDHe who teachesאָדָםa/DAMmanדָּעַת׃DA/atknowledge

    He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

11. 11

    יְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיֹדֵעַyo/DE/aknowsמַחְשְׁבוֹתmach/she/VOTthe thoughts ofאָדָםa/DAMmanכִּי־הֵמָּהki-HEM/mathat they areהָבֶל׃HA/vela breath

    The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

12. 12

    אַשְׁרֵיash/REblessed isהַגֶּבֶרhag/GE/verthe manאֲשֶׁר־תְּיַסְּרֶנּוּa/SHER-te/yas/se/REN/nuwhom You chastenיָּהּyaO LORDוּמִתּוֹרָתְךָu/mit/to/ra/te/KHAand out of Your lawתְלַמְּדֶנּוּ׃te/lam/me/DEN/nuYou teach him

    Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

13. 13

    לְהַשְׁקִיטle/hash/KITthat You may give restלוֹloto himמִימֵיMI/mefrom the days ofרָעraevilעַדaduntilיִכָּרֶהyik/ka/REis dugלָרָשָׁעla/ra/SHAfor the wickedשָׁחַת׃SHA/chatthe pit

    That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

14. 14

    כִּיkiforלֹא־יִטֹּשׁlo-yit/TOSHwill not forsakeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעַמּוֹam/MOHis peopleוְנַחֲלָתוֹve/na/cha/la/TOand His inheritanceלֹאlonotיַעֲזֹב׃ya/a/ZOVwill He forsake

    For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15. 15

    כִּי־עַד־צֶדֶקki-ad-TSE/dekfor to righteousnessיָשׁוּבya/SHUVshall returnמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATjusticeוְאַחֲרָיוve/a/cha/RAYVand after itכׇּל־יִשְׁרֵי־לֵב׃kol-yish/RE-levall the upright in heart

    But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

16. 16

    מִי־יָקוּםmi-ya/KUMwho will rise upלִיlifor meעִם־מְרֵעִיםim-me/re/IMwith evildoersמִי־יִתְיַצֵּבmi-yit/yats/TSEVwho will stand upלִיlifor meעִם־פֹּעֲלֵיim-PO/a/lewith workers ofאָוֶן׃A/veniniquity

    Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

17. 17

    לוּלֵיlu/LEunlessיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעֶזְרָתָהez/RA/tahad been my helpלִּיlito meכִּמְעַטkim/ATalmostשָׁכְנָהsha/khe/NAwould have dweltדוּמָהdu/MAin silenceנַפְשִׁי׃naf/SHImy soul

    Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

18. 18

    אִם־אָמַרְתִּיim-a/MAR/tiwhen I saidמָטָהMA/taslipsרַגְלִיrag/LImy footחַסְדְּךָchas/de/KHAYour kindnessיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDיִסְעָדֵנִי׃yis/a/DE/niheld me up

    When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

19. 19

    בְּרֹבbe/ROVin the multitude ofשַׂרְעַפַּיsar/ap/PAYmy anxious thoughtsבְּקִרְבִּיbe/kir/BIwithin meתַּנְחוּמֶיךָtan/chu/ME/khaYour comfortsיְשַׁעַשְׁעוּye/sha/ash/Udelightנַפְשִׁי׃naf/SHImy soul

    In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

20. 20

    הַיְחׇבְרְךָhay/chov/re/KHAcan be allied with Youכִּסֵּאkis/SEthe throne ofהַוּוֹתhav/VOTdestructionיֹצֵרyo/TSERwhich framesעָמָלa/MALmischiefעֲלֵי־חֹק׃a/LE-chokby a statute

    Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

21. 21

    יָגוֹדּוּya/god/DUthey band togetherעַל־נֶפֶשׁal-NE/feshagainst the soul ofצַדִּיקtsad/DIKthe righteousוְדָםve/DAMand blood ofנָקִיna/KIthe innocentיַרְשִׁיעוּ׃yar/SHI/uthey condemn

    They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

22. 22

    וַיְהִיvay/HIbut has beenיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלִיlito meלְמִשְׂגָּבle/mis/GAVa fortressוֵאלֹהַיve/lo/HAYand my Godלְצוּרle/TSURthe rock ofמַחְסִי׃mach/SImy refuge

    But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

23. 23

    וַיָּשֶׁבvay/YA/shevand He will returnעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themאֶת־אוֹנָםet-o/NAMtheir iniquityוּבְרָעָתָםu/ve/ra/a/TAMand in their evilיַצְמִיתֵםyats/mi/TEMHe will destroy themיַצְמִיתֵםyats/mi/TEMwill destroy themיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּ׃e/lo/HE/nuour God

    And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.
