   מִזְמוֹרa psalmשִׁירa songלְיוֹםto dayהַשַּׁבָּת׃the sabbath

   A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day.

2. 2

   טוֹבit is goodלְהֹדוֹתto give thanksלַיהֹוָהto the LORDוּלְזַמֵּרand to sing praisesלְשִׁמְךָto Your nameעֶלְיוֹן׃O Most High

   It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

   לְהַגִּידto show forthבַּבֹּקֶרin the morningחַסְדֶּךָYour mercyוֶאֱמוּנָתְךָand Your faithfulnessבַּלֵּילוֹת׃every night

   To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,

   עֲלֵי־עָשׂוֹרupon a ten-stringed instrumentוַעֲלֵי־נָבֶלand upon the harpעֲלֵיuponהִגָּיוֹןa solemn soundבְּכִנּוֹר׃with the lyre

   Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.

   כִּיforשִׂמַּחְתַּנִיYou have made me gladיְהֹוָהO LORDבְּפׇעֳלֶךָthrough Your workבְּמַעֲשֵׂיin the works ofיָדֶיךָYour handsאֲרַנֵּן׃I will triumph

   For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

   מַה־גָּדְלוּhow great areמַעֲשֶׂיךָYour worksיְהֹוָהO LORDמְאֹדveryעָמְקוּdeep areמַחְשְׁבֹתֶיךָ׃Your thoughts

   O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

   אִישׁ־בַּעַרa brutish manלֹאnotיֵדָעdoes he knowוּכְסִילand a foolלֹא־יָבִיןdoes not understandאֶת־זֹאת׃this

   A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

8. 8

   בִּפְרֹחַwhen spring upרְשָׁעִיםthe wickedכְּמוֹ־עֵשֶׂבlike the grassוַיָּצִיצוּand flourishכׇּל־פֹּעֲלֵיall workers ofאָוֶןiniquityלְהִשָּׁמְדָםit is that they shall be destroyedעֲדֵי־עַד׃for ever

   When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:

   וְאַתָּהbut Youמָרוֹםare on highלְעֹלָםfor everיְהֹוָה׃O LORD

   But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.

10. 10

    כִּיbecauseהִנֵּהbeholdאֹיְבֶיךָYour enemiesיְהֹוָהO LORDכִּי־הִנֵּהbecause beholdאֹיְבֶיךָYour enemiesיֹאבֵדוּshall perishיִתְפָּרְדוּshall be scatteredכׇּל־פֹּעֲלֵיall workers ofאָוֶן׃iniquity

    For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

11. 11

    וַתָּרֶםbut You have exaltedכִּרְאֵיםlike a wild oxקַרְנִיmy hornבַּלֹּתִיI am anointedבְּשֶׁמֶןwith oilרַעֲנָן׃fresh

    But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

12. 12

    וַתַּבֵּטand has lookedעֵינִיmy eyeבְּשׁוּרָיupon my enemiesבַּקָּמִיםof those who rise upעָלַיupon meמְרֵעִיםthe evildoersתִּשְׁמַעְנָהhave heardאׇזְנָי׃my ears

    Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.

13. 13

    צַדִּיקthe righteousכַּתָּמָרlike the palm treeיִפְרָחshall flourishכְּאֶרֶזlike a cedarבַּלְּבָנוֹןin Lebanonיִשְׂגֶּה׃he shall grow

    The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

14. 14

    שְׁתוּלִיםthose plantedבְּבֵיתin the house ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDבְּחַצְרוֹתin the courts ofאֱלֹהֵינוּour Godיַפְרִיחוּ׃shall flourish

    Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

15. 15

    עוֹדstillיְנוּבוּןthey shall bring forth fruitבְּשֵׂיבָהin old ageדְּשֵׁנִיםfull of sapוְרַעֲנַנִּיםand greenיִהְיוּ׃they shall be

    They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

16. 16

    לְהַגִּידto showכִּי־יָשָׁרthat is uprightיְהֹוָהthe LORDצוּרִיmy rockוְלֹא־[עַוְלָתָה]and there is no unrighteousness(עלתה)בּוֹ׃in Him

    To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
