   מִזְמוֹרmiz/MORa psalmשִׁירshira songלְיוֹםle/YOMfor the day ofהַשַּׁבָּת׃hash/shab/BATthe sabbath

   A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day.

2. 2

   טוֹבtovit is goodלְהֹדוֹתle/ho/DOTto give thanksלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDוּלְזַמֵּרu/le/zam/MERand to sing praisesלְשִׁמְךָle/shim/KHAto Your nameעֶלְיוֹן׃El/YONO Most High

   It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

   לְהַגִּידle/hag/GIDto show forthבַּבֹּקֶרbab/BO/kerin the morningחַסְדֶּךָchas/DE/khaYour kindnessוֶאֱמוּנָתְךָve/e/mu/na/te/KHAand Your faithfulnessבַּלֵּילוֹת׃bal/le/LOTevery night

   To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,

   עֲלֵי־עָשׂוֹרa/LE-a/SORupon a ten-stringedוַעֲלֵי־נָבֶלva/a/LE-NA/veland upon the harpעֲלֵיa/LEwithהִגָּיוֹןhig/ga/YONresounding musicבְּכִנּוֹר׃be/khin/NORwith the lyre

   Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.

   כִּיkiforשִׂמַּחְתַּנִיsim/mach/TA/niYou have made me gladיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDבְּפׇעֳלֶךָbe/fo/o/LE/khaby Your workבְּמַעֲשֵׂיbe/ma/a/SEin the works ofיָדֶיךָya/DE/khaYour handsאֲרַנֵּן׃a/ran/NENI will sing for joy

   For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

   מַה־גָּדְלוּma-ga/de/LUhow great areמַעֲשֶׂיךָma/a/SE/khaYour worksיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDמְאֹדme/ODveryעָמְקוּa/me/KUdeep areמַחְשְׁבֹתֶיךָ׃mach/she/vo/TE/khaYour thoughts

   O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

   אִישׁ־בַּעַרish-BA/ara brutish manלֹאlonotיֵדָעye/DAknowsוּכְסִילu/khe/SILand a foolלֹא־יָבִיןlo-ya/VINdoes not understandאֶת־זֹאת׃et-zotthis

   A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

   בִּפְרֹחַbif/RO/achwhen sproutרְשָׁעִיםre/sha/IMthe wickedכְּמוֹ־עֵשֶׂבke/MO-E/sevlike the grassוַיָּצִיצוּvay/ya/tsi/TSUand flourishכׇּל־פֹּעֲלֵיkol-PO/a/leall workers ofאָוֶןA/veniniquityלְהִשָּׁמְדָםle/hish/sha/me/DAMthat they may be destroyedעֲדֵי־עַד׃a/DE-adfor ever

   When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:

   וְאַתָּהve/at/TAbut Youמָרוֹםma/ROMare exaltedלְעֹלָםle/o/LAMfor everיְהֹוָה׃AdonaiO LORD

   But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.

10. 10

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֹיְבֶיךָoy/VE/khaYour enemiesיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDכִּי־הִנֵּהki-hin/NEfor beholdאֹיְבֶיךָoy/VE/khaYour enemiesיֹאבֵדוּyo/VE/dushall perishיִתְפָּרְדוּyit/pa/re/DUshall be scatteredכׇּל־פֹּעֲלֵיkol-PO/a/leall workers ofאָוֶן׃A/veniniquity

    For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

11. 11

    וַתָּרֶםvat/TA/rembut You have exaltedכִּרְאֵיםkir/EMlike a wild oxקַרְנִיkar/NImy hornבַּלֹּתִיbal/lo/TII am anointedבְּשֶׁמֶןbe/SHE/menwith oilרַעֲנָן׃ra/a/NANfresh

    But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

12. 12

    וַתַּבֵּטvat/tab/BETand has lookedעֵינִיe/NImy eyeבְּשׁוּרָיbe/shu/RAYon my foesבַּקָּמִיםbak/ka/MIMon those who rise upעָלַיa/LAYagainst meמְרֵעִיםme/re/IMthe evildoersתִּשְׁמַעְנָהtish/MA/nahave heardאׇזְנָי׃oz/NAYmy ears

    Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.

13. 13

    צַדִּיקtsad/DIKthe righteousכַּתָּמָרkat/ta/MARlike the palm treeיִפְרָחyif/RACHshall flourishכְּאֶרֶזke/E/rezlike a cedarבַּלְּבָנוֹןbal/Le/va/NONin Lebanonיִשְׂגֶּה׃yis/GEhe will grow

    The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

14. 14

    שְׁתוּלִיםshe/tu/LIMplantedבְּבֵיתbe/VETin the house ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּחַצְרוֹתbe/chats/ROTin the courts ofאֱלֹהֵינוּe/lo/HE/nuour Godיַפְרִיחוּ׃yaf/RI/chushall flourish

    Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

15. 15

    עוֹדodstillיְנוּבוּןye/nu/VUNthey will bear fruitבְּשֵׂיבָהbe/se/VAin old ageדְּשֵׁנִיםde/she/NIMfatוְרַעֲנַנִּיםve/ra/a/nan/NIMand greenיִהְיוּ׃yih/YUthey shall be

    They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

16. 16

    לְהַגִּידle/hag/GIDto showכִּי־יָשָׁרki-ya/SHARthat upright isיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצוּרִיtsu/RImy rockוְלֹא־[עַוְלָתָה]ve/LO-av/LA/taand there is no unrighteousness(עלתה)latahבּוֹ׃boin Him

    To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
