   יֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVhe who dwellsבְּסֵתֶרbe/SE/terin the cover ofעֶלְיוֹןEl/YONthe Most Highבְּצֵלbe/TSELunder the shadow ofשַׁדַּיShad/DAYthe Almightyיִתְלוֹנָן׃yit/lo/NANwill lodge

   He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2. 2

   אֹמַרo/MARI will sayלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDמַחְסִיmach/SImy refugeוּמְצוּדָתִיu/me/tsu/da/TIand my fortressאֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYmy Godאֶבְטַח־בּוֹ׃ev/TACH-boin Him will I trust

   I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

   כִּיkithatהוּאhuHeיַצִּילְךָyats/tsi/le/KHAshall deliver youמִפַּחmip/PACHfrom the snare ofיָקוּשׁya/KUSHthe fowlerמִדֶּבֶרmid/DE/verfrom the plague ofהַוּוֹת׃hav/VOTdestruction

   Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

   בְּאֶבְרָתוֹbe/ev/ra/TOwith His pinionsיָסֶךְYA/sekhHe shall coverלָךְlakhyouוְתַחַת־כְּנָפָיוve/TA/chat-ke/na/FAYVand under His wingsתֶּחְסֶהtech/SEyou shall take refugeצִנָּהtsin/NAa shieldוְסֹחֵרָהve/so/che/RAand bulwarkאֲמִתּוֹ׃a/mit/TOHis truth

   He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

   לֹא־תִירָאlo-ti/RAyou shall not be afraidמִפַּחַדmip/PA/chadof the terror ofלָיְלָהLAY/lathe nightמֵחֵץme/CHETSof the arrowיָעוּףya/UFthat fliesיוֹמָם׃yo/MAMby day

   Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

   מִדֶּבֶרmid/DE/verof the plagueבָּאֹפֶלba/O/felthat in darknessיַהֲלֹךְya/ha/LOKHwalksמִקֶּטֶבmik/KE/tevof the destructionיָשׁוּדya/SHUDthat lays wasteצׇהֳרָיִם׃tso/ho/RA/yimat noonday

   Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

   יִפֹּלyip/POLshall fallמִצִּדְּךָmits/tsid/de/KHAat your sideאֶלֶףE/lefa thousandוּרְבָבָהu/re/va/VAand ten thousandמִימִינֶךָmi/mi/NE/khaat your right handאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youלֹאlonotיִגָּשׁ׃yig/GASHshall it come near

   A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8. 8

   רַקrakonlyבְּעֵינֶיךָbe/e/NE/khawith your eyesתַבִּיטtab/BITyou shall lookוְשִׁלֻּמַתve/shil/lu/MATand the recompense ofרְשָׁעִיםre/sha/IMthe wickedתִּרְאֶה׃tir/Eyou shall see

   Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9. 9

   כִּי־אַתָּהki-at/TAbecause YouיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDמַחְסִיmach/SIare my refugeעֶלְיוֹןEl/YONthe Most HighשַׂמְתָּSAM/tayou have madeמְעוֹנֶךָ׃me/o/NE/khayour habitation

   Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10. 10

    לֹא־תְאֻנֶּהlo-te/un/NEshall not befallאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khayouרָעָהra/Aevilוְנֶגַעve/NE/gaand plagueלֹא־יִקְרַבlo-yik/RAVshall not come nearבְּאׇהֳלֶךָ׃be/o/ho/LE/khayour tent

    There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11. 11

    כִּיkiforמַלְאָכָיוmal/a/KHAYVHis angelsיְצַוֶּה־לָּךְye/tsav/VE-lakhHe will command concerning youלִשְׁמׇרְךָlish/mor/KHAto keep youבְּכׇל־דְּרָכֶיךָ׃be/KHOL-de/ra/KHE/khain all your ways

    For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12. 12

    עַל־כַּפַּיִםal-kap/PA/yimupon their handsיִשָּׂאוּנְךָyis/sa/UN/khathey shall bear you upפֶּן־תִּגֹּףpen-tig/GOFlest you dashבָּאֶבֶןba/E/venagainst a stoneרַגְלֶךָ׃rag/LE/khayour foot

    They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13. 13

    עַל־שַׁחַלal-SHA/chalupon a lionוָפֶתֶןva/FE/tenand adderתִּדְרֹךְtid/ROKHyou shall treadתִּרְמֹסtir/MOSyou shall trampleכְּפִירke/FIRthe young lionוְתַנִּין׃ve/tan/NINand the serpent

    Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14. 14

    כִּיkibecauseבִיvion Meחָשַׁקcha/SHAKhe has set his loveוַאֲפַלְּטֵהוּva/a/fal/le/TE/huand I will deliver himאֲשַׂגְּבֵהוּa/sag/ge/VE/huI will set him on highכִּי־יָדַעki-ya/DAbecause he has knownשְׁמִי׃she/MIMy name

    Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15. 15

    יִקְרָאֵנִיyik/ra/E/nihe shall call upon Meוְאֶעֱנֵהוּve/e/e/NE/huand I will answer himעִמּוֹ־אָנֹכִיim/MO-a/no/KHII will be with himבְצָרָהve/tsa/RAin troubleאֲחַלְּצֵהוּa/chal/le/TSE/huI will deliver himוַאֲכַבְּדֵהוּ׃va/a/khab/be/DE/huand I will honor him

    He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16. 16

    אֹרֶךְO/rekhwith longיָמִיםya/MIMlifeאַשְׂבִּיעֵהוּas/bi/E/huI will satisfy himוְאַרְאֵהוּve/ar/E/huand show himבִּישׁוּעָתִי׃bi/shu/a/TIMy salvation

    With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
