   לַמְנַצֵּחַto the chief musicianלִבְנֵי־קֹרַחunto the sons of Korahמִזְמוֹר׃a psalm

   To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.

2. 2

   רָצִיתָYou have been favorable toיְהֹוָהO LORDאַרְצֶךָYour landשַׁבְתָּYou have brought back(שבות)[שְׁבִית]the captivity ofיַעֲקֹב׃Jacob

   LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

3. 3

   נָשָׂאתָYou have forgivenעֲוֺןthe iniquity ofעַמֶּךָYour peopleכִּסִּיתָYou have coveredכׇל־חַטָּאתָםall their sinסֶלָה׃Selah

   Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

   אָסַפְתָּYou have taken awayכׇל־עֶבְרָתֶךָall Your wrathהֱשִׁיבוֹתָYou have turnedמֵחֲרוֹןfrom the burning ofאַפֶּךָ׃Your anger

   Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

   שׁוּבֵנוּrestore usאֱלֹהֵיthe God ofיִשְׁעֵנוּour salvationוְהָפֵרand cause to ceaseכַּעַסְךָYour indignationעִמָּנוּ׃with us

   Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.

   הַלְעוֹלָםwill foreverתֶּאֱנַף־בָּנוּwill You be angry with usתִּמְשֹׁךְwill You draw outאַפְּךָYour angerלְדֹרfrom generationוָדֹר׃to generation

   Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

   הֲלֹא־אַתָּהwill You notתָּשׁוּבturn againתְּחַיֵּנוּand revive usוְעַמְּךָthat Your peopleיִשְׂמְחוּ־בָךְ׃may rejoice in You

   Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

8. 8

   הַרְאֵנוּshow usיְהֹוָהO LORDחַסְדֶּךָYour mercyוְיֶשְׁעֲךָand Your salvationתִּתֶּן־לָנוּ׃grant us

   Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.

9. 9

   אֶשְׁמְעָהI will hearמַה־יְדַבֵּרwhat will speakהָאֵלthe Godיְהֹוָהthe LORDכִּיforיְדַבֵּרHe will speakשָׁלוֹםpeaceאֶל־עַמּוֹto His peopleוְאֶל־חֲסִידָיוand to His faithful onesוְאַל־יָשׁוּבוּbut let them not turn againלְכִסְלָה׃to folly

   I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

10. 10

    אַךְsurelyקָרוֹבis nearלִירֵאָיוto those who fear HimיִשְׁעוֹHis salvationלִשְׁכֹּןthat may dwellכָּבוֹדgloryבְּאַרְצֵנוּ׃in our land

    Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

11. 11

    חֶסֶד־וֶאֱמֶתmercy and truthנִפְגָּשׁוּare met togetherצֶדֶקrighteousnessוְשָׁלוֹםand peaceנָשָׁקוּ׃have kissed

    Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

12. 12

    אֱמֶתtruthמֵאֶרֶץout of the earthתִּצְמָחshall spring upוְצֶדֶקand righteousnessמִשָּׁמַיִםfrom heavenנִשְׁקָף׃shall look down

    Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

13. 13

    גַּם־יְהֹוָהyea the LORDיִתֵּןshall giveהַטּוֹבwhat is goodוְאַרְצֵנוּand our landתִּתֵּןshall yieldיְבוּלָהּ׃her increase

    Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.

14. 14

    צֶדֶקrighteousnessלְפָנָיוbefore Himיְהַלֵּךְshall goוְיָשֵׂםand shall setלְדֶרֶךְon the wayפְּעָמָיו׃His steps

    Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.
