   A Prayer of David. Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy.

   Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.

   Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

   שַׂמֵּחַsam/ME/achrejoiceנֶפֶשׁNE/feshthe soul ofעַבְדֶּךָav/DE/khaYour servantכִּיkiforאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato Youאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYO Lordנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulאֶשָּׂא׃es/SAI lift up

   Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

   כִּי־אַתָּהki-at/TAfor Youאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYO Lordטוֹבtovare goodוְסַלָּחve/sal/LACHand forgivingוְרַב־חֶסֶדve/RAV-CHE/sedand abounding in kindnessלְכׇל־קֹרְאֶיךָ׃le/KHOL-kor/E/khato all who call upon You

   For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

   הַאֲזִינָהha/a/ZI/nagive earיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDתְּפִלָּתִיte/fil/la/TImy prayerוְהַקְשִׁיבָהve/hak/SHI/vaand attendבְּקוֹלbe/KOLthe voice ofתַּחֲנוּנוֹתָי׃ta/cha/nu/no/TAYmy supplications

   Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.

   בְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the day ofצָרָתִיtsa/ra/TImy troubleאֶקְרָאֶךָּek/ra/EK/kaI will call upon Youכִּיkiforתַעֲנֵנִי׃ta/a/NE/niYou will answer me

   In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

   אֵין־כָּמוֹךָen-ka/MO/khathere is none like Youבָאֱלֹהִיםva/e/lo/HIMamong the godsאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYO Lordוְאֵיןve/ENand there are noneכְּמַעֲשֶׂיךָ׃ke/ma/a/SE/khalike Your works

   Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.

   כׇּל־גּוֹיִםkol-go/YIMall nationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomעָשִׂיתָa/SI/taYou have madeיָבוֹאוּya/VO/ushall comeוְיִשְׁתַּחֲווּve/yish/ta/cha/VUand worshipלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore Youאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYO Lordוִיכַבְּדוּvi/khab/be/DUand shall glorifyלִשְׁמֶךָ׃lish/ME/khaYour name

   All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

    כִּי־גָדוֹלki-ga/DOLfor greatאַתָּהat/TAare Youוְעֹשֵׂהve/O/seand doingנִפְלָאוֹתnif/la/OTwondrous thingsאַתָּהat/TAYou areאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלְבַדֶּךָ׃le/vad/DE/khaalone

    For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

    הוֹרֵנִיho/RE/niteach meיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDדַּרְכֶּךָdar/KE/khaYour wayאֲהַלֵּךְa/hal/LEKHI will walkבַּאֲמִתֶּךָba/a/mit/TE/khain Your truthיַחֵדya/CHEDuniteלְבָבִיle/va/VImy heartלְיִרְאָהle/yir/Ato fearשְׁמֶךָ׃she/ME/khaYour name

    Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

    אוֹדְךָod/KHAI will praise Youאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYO Lordאֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYmy Godבְּכׇל־לְבָבִיbe/KHOL-le/va/VIwith all my heartוַאֲכַבְּדָהva/a/khab/be/DAand I will glorifyשִׁמְךָshim/KHAYour nameלְעוֹלָם׃le/o/LAMforever

    I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

    כִּי־חַסְדְּךָki-chas/de/KHAfor Your kindnessגָּדוֹלga/DOLis greatעָלָיa/LAYtoward meוְהִצַּלְתָּve/hits/TSAL/taand You have deliveredנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulמִשְּׁאוֹלmish/She/OLfrom Sheolתַּחְתִּיָּה׃tach/tiy/YAthe depths of

    For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

    אֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMO Godזֵדִיםze/DIMthe proudקָמוּ־עָלַיKA/mu-a/LAYhave risen against meוַעֲדַתva/a/DATand a company ofעָרִיצִיםa/ri/TSIMruthless menבִּקְשׁוּbik/SHUseekנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulוְלֹאve/LOand notשָׂמוּךָsa/MU/khaset Youלְנֶגְדָּם׃le/neg/DAMbefore them

    O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.

    וְאַתָּהve/at/TAbut Youאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYO Lordאֵל־רַחוּםel-ra/CHUMa God compassionateוְחַנּוּןve/chan/NUNand graciousאֶרֶךְE/rekhslow ofאַפַּיִםap/PA/yimangerוְרַב־חֶסֶדve/RAV-CHE/sedand abounding in kindnessוֶאֱמֶת׃ve/e/METand truth

    But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

    פְּנֵהpe/NEturnאֵלַיe/LAYto meוְחׇנֵּנִיve/chon/NE/niand be gracious to meתְּנָה־עֻזְּךָte/NA-uz/ze/KHAgive Your strengthלְעַבְדֶּךָle/av/DE/khato Your servantוְהוֹשִׁיעָהve/ho/SHI/aand saveלְבֶן־אֲמָתֶךָ׃le/VEN-a/ma/TE/khathe son of Your handmaid

    O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.

    עֲשֵׂה־עִמִּיa/SE-im/MIwork with meאוֹתota signלְטוֹבָהle/to/VAfor goodוְיִרְאוּve/yir/Uthat may seeשֹׂנְאַיson/AYthose who hate meוְיֵבֹשׁוּve/ye/VO/shuand be ashamedכִּי־אַתָּהki-at/TAbecause YouיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDעֲזַרְתַּנִיa/zar/TA/nihave helped meוְנִחַמְתָּנִי׃ve/ni/cham/TA/niand comforted me

    Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.
