   תְּפִלָּהa prayerלְדָוִדof Davidהַטֵּה־יְהֹוָהincline O LORDאׇזְנְךָYour earעֲנֵנִיhear meכִּי־עָנִיfor I am poorוְאֶבְיוֹןand needyאָנִי׃am I

   A Prayer of David. Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy.

   שׇׁמְרָהpreserveנַפְשִׁיmy soulכִּי־חָסִידfor I am godlyאָנִיam IהוֹשַׁעsaveעַבְדְּךָYour servantאַתָּהYou areאֱלֹהַיmy Godהַבּוֹטֵחַwho trustsאֵלֶיךָ׃in You

   Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.

   חׇנֵּנִיbe gracious to meאֲדֹנָיO Lordכִּיforאֵלֶיךָto YouאֶקְרָאI cryכׇּל־הַיּוֹם׃all the day

   Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

   שַׂמֵּחַrejoiceנֶפֶשׁthe soul ofעַבְדֶּךָYour servantכִּיforאֵלֶיךָto YouאֲדֹנָיO Lordנַפְשִׁיmy soulאֶשָּׂא׃I lift up

   Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

   כִּי־אַתָּהfor YouאֲדֹנָיO Lordטוֹבare goodוְסַלָּחand ready to forgiveוְרַב־חֶסֶדand plenteous in mercyלְכׇל־קֹרְאֶיךָ׃to all who call upon You

   For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

   הַאֲזִינָהgive earיְהֹוָהO LORDתְּפִלָּתִיmy prayerוְהַקְשִׁיבָהand attendבְּקוֹלthe voice ofתַּחֲנוּנוֹתָי׃my supplications

   Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.

   בְּיוֹםin the day ofצָרָתִיmy troubleאֶקְרָאֶךָּI will call upon Youכִּיforתַעֲנֵנִי׃You will answer me

   In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

8. 8

   אֵין־כָּמוֹךָthere is none like Youבָאֱלֹהִיםamong the godsאֲדֹנָיO Lordוְאֵיןand there are noneכְּמַעֲשֶׂיךָ׃like Your works

   Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.

   כׇּל־גּוֹיִםall nationsאֲשֶׁרwhichעָשִׂיתָYou have madeיָבוֹאוּshall comeוְיִשְׁתַּחֲווּand worshipלְפָנֶיךָbefore YouאֲדֹנָיO Lordוִיכַבְּדוּand shall glorifyלִשְׁמֶךָ׃Your name

   All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

10. 10

    כִּי־גָדוֹלfor great isאַתָּהYou areוְעֹשֵׂהand doנִפְלָאוֹתwondrous thingsאַתָּהYou areאֱלֹהִיםGodלְבַדֶּךָ׃alone

    For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

11. 11

    הוֹרֵנִיteach meיְהֹוָהO LORDדַּרְכֶּךָYour wayאֲהַלֵּךְI will walkבַּאֲמִתֶּךָin Your truthיַחֵדuniteלְבָבִיmy heartלְיִרְאָהto fearשְׁמֶךָ׃Your name

    Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

12. 12

    אוֹדְךָI will praise YouאֲדֹנָיO Lordאֱלֹהַיmy Godבְּכׇל־לְבָבִיwith all my heartוַאֲכַבְּדָהand I will glorifyשִׁמְךָYour nameלְעוֹלָם׃forever

    I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

13. 13

    כִּי־חַסְדְּךָfor Your mercyגָּדוֹלis greatעָלָיtoward meוְהִצַּלְתָּand You have deliveredנַפְשִׁיmy soulמִשְּׁאוֹלfrom Sheolתַּחְתִּיָּה׃the lowest

    For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

14. 14

    אֱלֹהִיםO Godזֵדִיםthe proudקָמוּ־עָלַיhave risen against meוַעֲדַתand a company ofעָרִיצִיםviolent menבִּקְשׁוּhave sought afterנַפְשִׁיmy soulוְלֹאand notשָׂמוּךָhave they set Youלְנֶגְדָּם׃before them

    O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.

15. 15

    וְאַתָּהbut YouאֲדֹנָיO Lordאֵל־רַחוּםare a God full of compassionוְחַנּוּןand graciousאֶרֶךְslow toאַפַּיִםangerוְרַב־חֶסֶדand plenteous in mercyוֶאֱמֶת׃and truth

    But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

16. 16

    פְּנֵהO turnאֵלַיto meוְחׇנֵּנִיand be gracious to meתְּנָה־עֻזְּךָgive Your strengthלְעַבְדֶּךָto Your servantוְהוֹשִׁיעָהand saveלְבֶן־אֲמָתֶךָ׃the son of Your handmaid

    O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.

17. 17

    עֲשֵׂה־עִמִּיshow meאוֹתa signלְטוֹבָהfor goodוְיִרְאוּthat may see itשֹׂנְאַיthose who hate meוְיֵבֹשׁוּand be ashamedכִּי־אַתָּהbecause YouיְהֹוָהO LORDעֲזַרְתַּנִיhave helped meוְנִחַמְתָּנִי׃and comforted me

    Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.
