   לַמְנַצֵּחַto the chief musicianעַל־הַגִּתִּיתupon the Gittithלִבְנֵי־קֹרַחunto the sons of Korahמִזְמוֹר׃a psalm

   To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.

2. 2

   מַה־יְּדִידוֹתhow lovely areמִשְׁכְּנוֹתֶיךָYour dwelling placesיְהֹוָהO LORDצְבָאוֹת׃of Hosts

   How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!

3. 3

   נִכְסְפָהlongsוְגַם־כָּלְתָהyea even faintsנַפְשִׁיmy soulלְחַצְרוֹתfor the courts ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDלִבִּיmy heartוּבְשָׂרִיand my fleshיְרַנְּנוּcry outאֶלtoאֵל־חָי׃the living God

   My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

   גַּם־צִפּוֹרeven the sparrowמָצְאָהhas foundבַיִתa houseוּדְרוֹרand the swallowקֵןa nestלָהּfor herselfאֲשֶׁר־שָׁתָהwhere she may layאֶפְרֹחֶיהָher youngאֶת־מִזְבְּחוֹתֶיךָeven Your altarsיְהֹוָהO LORDצְבָאוֹתof Hostsמַלְכִּיmy Kingוֵאלֹהָי׃and my God

   Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.

   אַשְׁרֵיblessed areיוֹשְׁבֵיthose who dwell inבֵיתֶךָYour houseעוֹדstillיְהַלְלוּךָthey will praise Youסֶּלָה׃Selah

   Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.

   אַשְׁרֵיblessed areאָדָםis the manעוֹז־לוֹwhose strength isבָךְin Youמְסִלּוֹתthe highwaysבִּלְבָבָם׃are in their heart

   Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.

7. 7

   עֹבְרֵיpassing throughבְּעֵמֶקin the valley ofהַבָּכָאBacaמַעְיָןa place of springsיְשִׁיתוּהוּthey make itגַּם־בְּרָכוֹתyea with blessingsיַעְטֶהcovers itמוֹרֶה׃the early rain

   Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.

   יֵלְכוּthey goמֵחַיִלfrom strengthאֶל־חָיִלto strengthיֵרָאֶהeach appearsאֶל־אֱלֹהִיםbefore Godבְּצִיּוֹן׃in Zion

   They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

   יְהֹוָהO LORDאֱלֹהִיםGodצְבָאוֹתof Hostsשִׁמְעָהhearתְפִלָּתִיmy prayerהַאֲזִינָהgive earאֱלֹהֵיO God ofיַעֲקֹבJacobסֶלָה׃Selah

   O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.

10. 10

    מָגִנֵּנוּO our shieldרְאֵהbeholdאֱלֹהִיםO Godוְהַבֵּטand look uponפְּנֵיthe face ofמְשִׁיחֶךָ׃Your anointed

    Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

11. 11

    כִּיforטוֹב־יוֹםbetter is a dayבַּחֲצֵרֶיךָin Your courtsמֵאָלֶףmore than a thousandבָּחַרְתִּיI would ratherהִסְתּוֹפֵףbe a doorkeeperבְּבֵיתin the house ofאֱלֹהַיmy Godמִדּוּרthan dwellבְּאׇהֳלֵי־רֶשַׁע׃in the tents of wickedness

    For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

    כִּיforשֶׁמֶשׁa sunוּמָגֵןand a shieldיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהִיםGodחֵןgraceוְכָבוֹדand gloryיִתֵּןwill giveיְהֹוָהthe LORDלֹאnotיִמְנַע־טוֹבwill He withhold goodלַהֹלְכִיםfrom those who walkבְּתָמִים׃uprightly

    For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

13. 13

    יְהֹוָהO LORDצְבָאוֹתof Hostsאַשְׁרֵיblessed areאָדָםis the manבֹּטֵחַwho trustsבָּךְ׃in You

    O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
