   A Song or Psalm of Asaph.

   אֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMO Godאַל־דֳּמִי־לָךְal-do/MI-lakhkeep not silenceאַל־תֶּחֱרַשׁal-te/che/RASHdo not be deafוְאַל־תִּשְׁקֹטve/AL-tish/KOTand be not stillאֵל׃elO God

   Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

   כִּי־הִנֵּהki-hin/NEbecause beholdאוֹיְבֶיךָoy/VE/khaYour enemiesיֶהֱמָיוּןye/he/ma/YUNmake a tumultוּמְשַׂנְאֶיךָu/me/san/E/khaand those who hate Youנָשְׂאוּna/se/Uhave raisedרֹאשׁ׃roshthe head

   For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

   עַל־עַמְּךָal-am/me/KHAagainst Your peopleיַעֲרִימוּya/a/RI/muthey make craftyסוֹדsodcounselוְיִתְיָעֲצוּve/yit/ya/a/TSUand consult togetherעַל־צְפוּנֶיךָ׃al-tse/fu/NE/khaagainst Your treasured ones

   They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

   אָמְרוּa/me/RUthey saidלְכוּle/KHUcomeוְנַכְחִידֵםve/nakh/chi/DEMand let us cut them offמִגּוֹיmig/GOYfrom being a nationוְלֹא־יִזָּכֵרve/LO-yiz/za/KHERand let not be rememberedשֵׁם־יִשְׂרָאֵלshem-Yis/ra/ELthe name of Israelעוֹד׃odagain

   They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

   כִּיkiforנוֹעֲצוּno/a/TSUthey have conspiredלֵבlevwith heartיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaagainst Youבְּרִיתbe/RITa covenantיִכְרֹתוּ׃yikh/RO/tuthey make

   For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

   אׇהֳלֵיo/ho/LEthe tents ofאֱדוֹםE/DOMEdomוְיִשְׁמְעֵאלִיםve/Yish/me/e/LIMand the IshmaelitesמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabוְהַגְרִים׃Ve/hag/RIMand the Hagrites

   The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;

   גְּבָלGe/VALGebalוְעַמּוֹןve/Am/MONand Ammonוַעֲמָלֵקva/A/ma/LEKand AmalekפְּלֶשֶׁתPe/LE/shetPhilistiaעִם־יֹשְׁבֵיim-YOSH/vewith the inhabitants ofצוֹר׃TsorTyre

   Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;

   גַּם־אַשּׁוּרgam-Ash/SHURalso Assyriaנִלְוָהnil/VAis joinedעִמָּםim/MAMwith themהָיוּ־זְרוֹעַha/YU-ze/RO/athey have been an armלִבְנֵי־לוֹטliv/NE-Lotto the sons of Lotסֶלָה׃SE/laSelah

   Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

    עֲשֵׂה־לָהֶםa/SE-la/HEMdo to themכְּמִדְיָןke/Mid/YANlike Midianכְּסִיסְרָאke/Si/se/RAlike Siseraכְיָבִיןkhe/Ya/VINlike Jabinבְּנַחַלbe/NA/chalat the brookקִישׁוֹן׃Ki/SHONKishon

    Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:

    נִשְׁמְדוּnish/me/DUwho were destroyedבְעֵין־דֹּארve/EN-dorat En-dorהָיוּha/YUthey becameדֹמֶןDO/mendungלָאֲדָמָה׃la/a/da/MAfor the ground

    Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.

    שִׁיתֵמוֹshi/TE/momakeנְדִיבֵימוֹne/di/ve/MOtheir noblesכְּעֹרֵבke/O/REVlike Orebוְכִזְאֵבve/Khiz/EVand like Zeebוּכְזֶבַחu/Khe/ZE/vachand like Zebahוּכְצַלְמֻנָּעu/Khe/tsal/mun/NAand like Zalmunnaכׇּל־נְסִיכֵימוֹ׃kol-ne/si/khe/MOall their princes

    Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoאָמְרוּa/me/RUthey saidנִירְשָׁהNI/re/shalet us take possession ofלָּנוּLA/nufor ourselvesאֵת־נְאוֹתet-ne/OTthe pastures ofאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMGod

    Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.

14. 14

    אֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYO my Godשִׁיתֵמוֹshi/TE/momake themכַגַּלְגַּלkhag/gal/GALlike the whirling dustכְּקַשׁke/KASHas stubbleלִפְנֵי־רוּחַ׃lif/NE-RU/achbefore the wind

    O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.

15. 15

    כְּאֵשׁke/ESHas fireתִּבְעַר־יָעַרtiv/AR-YA/arburns a forestוּכְלֶהָבָהu/khe/le/ha/VAand like a flameתְּלַהֵטte/la/HETsets ablazeהָרִים׃ha/RIMthe mountains

    As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;

16. 16

    כֵּןkensoתִּרְדְּפֵםtir/de/FEMpursue themבְּסַעֲרֶךָbe/sa/a/RE/khawith Your tempestוּבְסוּפָתְךָu/ve/su/fa/te/KHAand with Your stormתְבַהֲלֵם׃te/va/ha/LEMterrify them

    So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.

17. 17

    מַלֵּאmal/LEfillפְנֵיהֶםfe/ne/HEMtheir facesקָלוֹןka/LONwith disgraceוִיבַקְשׁוּvi/vak/SHUthat they may seekשִׁמְךָshim/KHAYour nameיְהֹוָה׃AdonaiO LORD

    Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.

18. 18

    יֵבֹשׁוּye/VO/shulet be ashamedוְיִבָּהֲלוּve/yib/ba/ha/LUand dismayedעֲדֵי־עַדa/DE-adfor everוְיַחְפְּרוּve/yach/pe/RUand be confoundedוְיֹאבֵדוּ׃ve/yo/VE/duand perish

    Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:

19. 19

    וְיֵדְעוּve/yed/Uthat men may knowכִּי־אַתָּהki-at/TAthat Youשִׁמְךָshim/KHAwhose name isיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלְבַדֶּךָle/vad/DE/khaaloneעֶלְיוֹןEl/YONare the Most Highעַל־כׇּל־הָאָרֶץ׃al-kol-ha/A/retsover all the earth

    That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
