   לַמְנַצֵּחַto the chief musicianעַל־הַגִּתִּיתupon the Gittithמִזְמוֹרa psalmלְדָוִד׃of David

   To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of David.

2. 2

   יְהֹוָהthe LORDאֲדֹנֵינוּour Lordמָה־אַדִּירhow excellentשִׁמְךָYour nameבְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץin all the earthאֲשֶׁרwhichתְּנָהhave setהוֹדְךָYour gloryעַל־הַשָּׁמָיִם׃above the heavens

   O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

   מִפִּיfrom the mouth ofעוֹלְלִיםchildrenוְיֹנְקִיםand nursing infantsיִסַּדְתָּYou have ordainedעֹזstrengthלְמַעַןbecause ofצוֹרְרֶיךָYour enemiesלְהַשְׁבִּיתthat You might stillאוֹיֵבthe enemyוּמִתְנַקֵּם׃and the avenger

   Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

   כִּי־אֶרְאֶהwhen I beholdשָׁמֶיךָYour heavensמַעֲשֵׂהthe work ofאֶצְבְּעֹתֶיךָYour fingersיָרֵחַmoonוְכוֹכָבִיםand the starsאֲשֶׁרwhichכּוֹנָנְתָּה׃You have ordained

   When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

   מָה־אֱנוֹשׁwhat is manכִּי־תִזְכְּרֶנּוּthat You are mindful of himוּבֶן־אָדָםand the son of manכִּיthatתִפְקְדֶנּוּ׃that You visit him

   What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

6. 6

   וַתְּחַסְּרֵהוּyet You have made him lowerמְּעַטa littleמֵאֱלֹהִיםthan the angelsוְכָבוֹדand with gloryוְהָדָרand honorתְּעַטְּרֵהוּ׃You have crowned him

   For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

   תַּמְשִׁילֵהוּYou made him to have dominionבְּמַעֲשֵׂיover the works ofיָדֶיךָYour handsכֹּלallשַׁתָּהYou have putתַחַת־רַגְלָיו׃under his feet

   Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

   צֹנֶהsheepוַאֲלָפִיםand oxenכֻּלָּםall of themוְגַםand alsoבַּהֲמוֹתthe beasts ofשָׂדָי׃the field

   All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

9. 9

   צִפּוֹרthe birds ofשָׁמַיִםthe skyוּדְגֵיand the fish ofהַיָּםthe seaעֹבֵרwhatever passes throughאׇרְחוֹתthe paths ofיַמִּים׃the seas

   The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

    יְהֹוָהthe LORDאֲדֹנֵינוּour Lordמָה־אַדִּירhow excellentשִׁמְךָYour nameבְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץ׃in all the earth

    O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
