   שִׁגָּיוֹןShig/ga/YONa Shiggaionלְדָוִדle/Da/VIDof Davidאֲשֶׁר־שָׁרa/SHER-sharthat he sangלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDעַל־דִּבְרֵי־כוּשׁal-Div/RE-khushconcerning the words of Cushבֶּן־יְמִינִי׃ben-Ye/mi/NIthe Benjamite

   Shiggaion of David, which he sang unto the LORD, concerning the words of Cush the Benjamite.

   יְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDאֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYmy Godבְּךָbe/KHAin Youחָסִיתִיcha/SI/tiI take refugeהוֹשִׁיעֵנִיho/shi/E/nisave meמִכׇּל־רֹדְפַיmik/KOL-rod/FAYfrom all those who persecute meוְהַצִּילֵנִי׃ve/hats/tsi/LE/niand deliver me

   O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:

   פֶּן־יִטְרֹףpen-yit/ROFlest he tearכְּאַרְיֵהke/ar/YEas a lionנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulפֹּרֵקpo/REKtearing it apartוְאֵיןve/ENand there is noמַצִּיל׃mats/TSILa deliverer

   Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.

   יְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDאֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYmy Godאִם־עָשִׂיתִיim-a/SI/tiif I have doneזֹאתzotthisאִם־יֶשׁ־עָוֶלim-yesh-A/velif there is iniquityבְּכַפָּי׃be/khap/PAYin my hands

   O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;

5. 5

   אִם־גָּמַלְתִּיim-ga/mal/TIif I have repaidשׁוֹלְמִיshol/MIhim who was at peace with meרָעraevilוָאֲחַלְּצָהva/a/chal/le/TSAor have rescuedצוֹרְרִיtsor/RImy enemyרֵיקָם׃re/KAMwithout cause

   If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)

   יִרַדֹּף־אוֹיֵבyi/rad/DOF-o/YEVlet the enemy pursueנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulוְיַשֵּׂגve/yas/SEGand overtake itוְיִרְמֹסve/yir/MOSand trampleלָאָרֶץla/A/retsto the earthחַיָּיchay/YAYmy lifeוּכְבוֹדִיu/khe/vo/DIand my gloryלֶעָפָרle/a/FARto the dustיַשְׁכֵּןyash/KENand layסֶלָה׃SE/laSelah

   Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.

   קוּמָהku/MAariseיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDבְּאַפֶּךָbe/ap/PE/khain Your angerהִנָּשֵׂאhin/na/SElift Yourself upבְּעַבְרוֹתbe/av/ROTagainst the fury ofצוֹרְרָיtsor/RAYmy enemiesוְעוּרָהve/U/raand awakeאֵלַיe/LAYfor meמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATjudgmentצִוִּיתָ׃tsiv/VI/taYou have commanded

   Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.

8. 8

   וַעֲדַתva/a/DATlet the congregation ofלְאֻמִּיםle/um/MIMpeoplesתְּסוֹבְבֶךָּte/sov/VEK/kasurround Youוְעָלֶיהָve/a/LE/haand over itלַמָּרוֹםlam/ma/ROMon highשׁוּבָה׃shu/VAreturn

   So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.

9. 9

   יְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיָדִיןya/DINshall judgeעַמִּיםam/MIMpeoplesשׇׁפְטֵנִיshof/TE/nivindicate meיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDכְּצִדְקִיke/tsid/KIaccording to my righteousnessוּכְתֻמִּיu/khe/tum/MIand according to my integrityעָלָי׃a/LAYthat is in me

   The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.

10. 10

    יִגְמׇר־נָאyig/MOR-nalet come to an endרַעrathe wickedness ofרְשָׁעִיםre/sha/IMthe wickedוּתְכוֹנֵןu/te/kho/NENbut establishצַדִּיקtsad/DIKthe righteousוּבֹחֵןu/vo/CHENfor triesלִבּוֹתlib/BOTthe heartsוּכְלָיוֹתu/khe/la/YOTand kidneysאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodצַדִּיק׃tsad/DIKrighteous

    Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.

    מָגִנִּיma/gin/NImy shieldעַל־אֱלֹהִיםal-e/lo/HIMis with Godמוֹשִׁיעַmo/SHI/awho savesיִשְׁרֵי־לֵב׃yish/RE-levthe upright in heart

    My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.

12. 12

    אֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodשׁוֹפֵטsho/FETis a judgeצַדִּיקtsad/DIKrighteousוְאֵלve/ELand a Godזֹעֵםzo/EMis angryבְּכׇל־יוֹם׃be/KHOL-yomevery day

    God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

13. 13

    אִם־לֹאim-loif notיָשׁוּבya/SHUVhe turnsחַרְבּוֹchar/BOHis swordיִלְטוֹשׁyil/TOSHHe will whetקַשְׁתּוֹkash/TOHis bowדָרַךְda/RAKHHe has bentוַיְכוֹנְנֶהָ׃vay/khon/NE/haand makes it ready

    If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.

14. 14

    וְלוֹve/LOand for Himselfהֵכִיןhe/KHINHe preparesכְּלֵי־מָוֶתke/LE-MA/vetinstruments of deathחִצָּיוchits/TSAYVHis arrowsלְדֹלְקִיםle/dol/KIMfor the pursuersיִפְעָל׃yif/ALHe makes

    He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.

15. 15

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיְחַבֶּל־אָוֶןye/chab/BEL-A/venhe travails with iniquityוְהָרָהve/ha/RAand has conceivedעָמָלa/MALtroubleוְיָלַדve/YA/ladand brings forthשָׁקֶר׃SHA/kerfalsehood

    Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.

16. 16

    בּוֹרbora pitכָּרָהka/RAhe madeוַיַּחְפְּרֵהוּvay/yach/pe/RE/huand dug itוַיִּפֹּלvay/yip/POLand has fallenבְּשַׁחַתbe/SHA/chatinto the pitיִפְעָל׃yif/ALwhich he made

    He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.

17. 17

    יָשׁוּבya/SHUVshall returnעֲמָלוֹa/ma/LOhis troubleבְרֹאשׁוֹve/ro/SHOupon his own headוְעַלve/ALand uponקׇדְקֳדוֹkod/ko/DOhis own crownחֲמָסוֹcha/ma/SOhis violenceיֵרֵד׃ye/REDshall come down

    His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.

18. 18

    אוֹדֶהo/DEI will praiseיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכְּצִדְקוֹke/tsid/KOaccording to His righteousnessוַאֲזַמְּרָהva/a/zam/me/RAand will sing praiseשֵׁם־יְהֹוָהshem-Adonaito the name of the LORDעֶלְיוֹן׃El/YONthe Most High

    I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
