Psalms 7 תְּהִלִּים פרק ז׳

1. 1

   שִׁגָּיוֹןa Shiggaionלְדָוִדof Davidאֲשֶׁר־שָׁרthat he sangלַיהֹוָהto the LORDעַל־דִּבְרֵי־כוּשׁconcerning the words of Ethiopiaבֶּן־יְמִינִי׃the Benjamite

   Shiggaion of David, which he sang unto the LORD, concerning the words of Cush the Benjamite.

2. 2

   יְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהַיmy Godבְּךָin YouחָסִיתִיI put my trustהוֹשִׁיעֵנִיsave meמִכׇּל־רֹדְפַיfrom all those who persecute meוְהַצִּילֵנִי׃and deliver me

   O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:

   פֶּן־יִטְרֹףlest he tearכְּאַרְיֵהas a lionנַפְשִׁיmy soulפֹּרֵקrending it in piecesוְאֵיןand there is noמַצִּיל׃a deliverer

   Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.

   יְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהַיmy Godאִם־עָשִׂיתִיif I have doneזֹאתthisאִם־יֶשׁ־עָוֶלif there is iniquityבְּכַפָּי׃in my hands

   O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;

   אִם־גָּמַלְתִּיif I have repaidשׁוֹלְמִיhim who was at peace with meרָעevilוָאֲחַלְּצָהor have rescuedצוֹרְרִיmy enemyרֵיקָם׃without cause

   If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)

   יִרַדֹּף־אוֹיֵבlet the enemy pursueנַפְשִׁיmy soulוְיַשֵּׂגand take itוְיִרְמֹסand trampleלָאָרֶץto the earthחַיָּיmy lifeוּכְבוֹדִיand my gloryלֶעָפָרto the dustיַשְׁכֵּןand layסֶלָה׃Selah

   Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.

7. 7

   קוּמָהariseיְהֹוָהthe LORDבְּאַפֶּךָin Your angerהִנָּשֵׂאlift Yourself upבְּעַבְרוֹתagainst the fury ofצוֹרְרָיmy enemiesוְעוּרָהand awakeאֵלַיfor meמִשְׁפָּטjudgmentצִוִּיתָ׃You have commanded

   Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.

8. 8

   וַעֲדַתlet the congregation ofלְאֻמִּיםpeoplesתְּסוֹבְבֶךָּshall surround Youוְעָלֶיהָfor their sakesלַמָּרוֹםon highשׁוּבָה׃return

   So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.

9. 9

   יְהֹוָהthe LORDיָדִיןshall judgeעַמִּיםpeoplesשׇׁפְטֵנִיvindicate meיְהֹוָהthe LORDכְּצִדְקִיaccording to my righteousnessוּכְתֻמִּיand according to my integrityעָלָי׃that is in me

   The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.

10. 10

    יִגְמׇר־נָאlet come to an endרַעthe wickedness ofרְשָׁעִיםthe wickedוּתְכוֹנֵןbut establishצַדִּיקthe justוּבֹחֵןfor triesלִבּוֹתthe heartsוּכְלָיוֹתand reinsאֱלֹהִיםGodצַדִּיק׃righteous

    Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.

11. 11

    מָגִנִּיmy defenseעַל־אֱלֹהִיםof Godמוֹשִׁיעַwho savesיִשְׁרֵי־לֵב׃the upright in heart

    My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.

12. 12

    אֱלֹהִיםGodשׁוֹפֵטis a judgeצַדִּיקrighteousוְאֵלand Godזֹעֵםis angryבְּכׇל־יוֹם׃every day

    God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

13. 13

    אִם־לֹאif he does notיָשׁוּבturnחַרְבּוֹhis swordיִלְטוֹשׁHe will whetקַשְׁתּוֹHis bowדָרַךְHe has bentוַיְכוֹנְנֶהָ׃and makes it ready

    If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.

14. 14

    וְלוֹand for HimselfהֵכִיןHe preparesכְּלֵי־מָוֶתinstruments of deathחִצָּיוHis arrowsלְדֹלְקִיםfor the pursuersיִפְעָל׃he makes

    He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.

15. 15

    הִנֵּהbeholdיְחַבֶּל־אָוֶןhe travails with iniquityוְהָרָהand has conceivedעָמָלtroubleוְיָלַדand brings forthשָׁקֶר׃falsehood

    Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.

16. 16

    בּוֹרa pitכָּרָהhe madeוַיַּחְפְּרֵהוּand dug it outוַיִּפֹּלand has fallenבְּשַׁחַתin the pitיִפְעָל׃which he made

    He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.

17. 17

    יָשׁוּבshall returnעֲמָלוֹhis troubleבְרֹאשׁוֹupon his own headוְעַלand uponקׇדְקֳדוֹhis own crownחֲמָסוֹhis violent dealingיֵרֵד׃shall come down

    His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.

18. 18

    אוֹדֶהI will praiseיְהֹוָהthe LORDכְּצִדְקוֹaccording to His righteousnessוַאֲזַמְּרָהand will sing praiseשֵׁם־יְהֹוָהto the name of the LORDעֶלְיוֹן׃Most High

    I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
