   בְּךָ־יְהֹוָהin You O LORDחָסִיתִיI put my trustאַל־אֵבוֹשָׁהlet me not be ashamedלְעוֹלָם׃forever

   In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.

2. 2

   בְּצִדְקָתְךָin Your righteousnessתַּצִּילֵנִיdeliver meוּתְפַלְּטֵנִיand rescue meהַטֵּה־אֵלַיincline to meאׇזְנְךָYour earוְהוֹשִׁיעֵנִי׃and save me

   Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.

   הֱיֵהbe Youלִיto meלְצוּרa rock ofמָעוֹןhabitationלָבוֹאto resort toתָּמִידcontinuallyצִוִּיתָYou have given commandmentלְהוֹשִׁיעֵנִיto save meכִּי־סַלְעִיfor You are my rockוּמְצוּדָתִיand my fortressאָתָּה׃You are

   Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.

   אֱלֹהַיO my Godפַּלְּטֵנִיdeliver meמִיַּדfrom the hand ofרָשָׁעthe wickedמִכַּףout of the hand ofמְעַוֵּלthe unrighteousוְחוֹמֵץ׃and cruel man

   Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

   כִּי־אַתָּהfor You areתִקְוָתִיmy hopeאֲדֹנָיO LordיֱהֹוִהGODמִבְטַחִיmy trustמִנְּעוּרָי׃from my youth

   For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.

6. 6

   עָלֶיךָupon Youנִסְמַכְתִּיhave I been upheldמִבֶּטֶןfrom the wombמִמְּעֵיout of the womb ofאִמִּיmy motherאַתָּהYou areגוֹזִיHe that took meבְּךָin Youתְהִלָּתִיis my praiseתָמִיד׃continually

   By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.

   כְּמוֹפֵתas a wonderהָיִיתִיI amלְרַבִּיםto manyוְאַתָּהbut You areמַחֲסִי־עֹז׃my strong refuge

   I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.

8. 8

   יִמָּלֵאlet be filledפִיmy mouthתְּהִלָּתֶךָwith Your praiseכׇּל־הַיּוֹםall the dayתִּפְאַרְתֶּךָ׃with Your glory

   Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.

9. 9

   אַל־תַּשְׁלִיכֵנִיdo not cast me offלְעֵתin the time ofזִקְנָהold ageכִּכְלוֹתwhen failsכֹּחִיmy strengthאַל־תַּעַזְבֵנִי׃do not forsake me

   Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

    כִּי־אָמְרוּfor sayאוֹיְבַיmy enemiesלִיof meוְשֹׁמְרֵיand those who lie in wait forנַפְשִׁיmy soulנוֹעֲצוּtake counselיַחְדָּו׃together

    For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together,

11. 11

    לֵאמֹרsayingאֱלֹהִיםGodעֲזָבוֹhas forsaken himרִדְפוּpursueוְתִפְשׂוּהוּand take himכִּי־אֵיןfor there is noneמַצִּיל׃to deliver

    Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.

12. 12

    אֱלֹהִיםO Godאַל־תִּרְחַקdo not be farמִמֶּנִּיfrom meאֱלֹהַיO my Godלְעֶזְרָתִיto my help[חוּשָׁה]׃make haste

    O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.

13. 13

    יֵבֹשׁוּlet be ashamedיִכְלוּlet them be consumedשֹׂטְנֵיthe adversaries ofנַפְשִׁיmy soulיַעֲטוּlet them be covered withחֶרְפָּהreproachוּכְלִמָּהand dishonorמְבַקְשֵׁיwho seekרָעָתִי׃my hurt

    Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.

14. 14

    וַאֲנִיand Iתָּמִידcontinuallyאֲיַחֵלwill hopeוְהוֹסַפְתִּיand will addעַל־כׇּל־תְּהִלָּתֶךָ׃to all Your praise

    But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.

15. 15

    פִּיmy mouthיְסַפֵּרshall tell ofצִדְקָתֶךָYour righteousnessכׇּל־הַיּוֹםall the dayתְּשׁוּעָתֶךָYour salvationכִּיforלֹאnotיָדַעְתִּיdo I knowסְפֹרוֹת׃their number

    My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.

16. 16

    אָבוֹאI will comeבִּגְבֻרוֹתwith the mighty deeds ofאֲדֹנָיO LordיֱהֹוִהGODאַזְכִּירI will make mention ofצִדְקָתְךָYour righteousnessלְבַדֶּךָ׃of Yours alone

    I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.

17. 17

    אֱלֹהִיםO GodלִמַּדְתַּנִיYou have taught meמִנְּעוּרָיfrom my youthוְעַד־הֵנָּהand until nowאַגִּידI declareנִפְלְאוֹתֶיךָ׃Your wondrous works

    O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

18. 18

    וְגַםand alsoעַד־זִקְנָהuntil old ageוְשֵׂיבָהand gray headאֱלֹהִיםO Godאַל־תַּעַזְבֵנִיdo not forsake meעַד־אַגִּידuntil I have declaredזְרוֹעֲךָYour strengthלְדוֹרto a generationלְכׇל־יָבוֹאto all that are to comeגְּבוּרָתֶךָ׃Your might

    Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.

19. 19

    וְצִדְקָתְךָand Your righteousnessאֱלֹהִיםO Godעַד־מָרוֹםis to the heightאֲשֶׁר־עָשִׂיתָYou who have doneגְדֹלוֹתgreat thingsאֱלֹהִיםO Godמִיwhoכָמוֹךָ׃is like You

    Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!

20. 20

    אֲשֶׁרwhich(הראיתנו)[הִרְאִיתַנִי]You who have shown meצָרוֹתthe troubles ofרַבּוֹתmanyוְרָעוֹתand soreתָּשׁוּבYou will again(תחינו)[תְּחַיֵּנִי]revive meוּמִתְּהֹמוֹתand from the depths ofהָאָרֶץthe earthתָּשׁוּבYou will againתַּעֲלֵנִי׃bring me up

    Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

21. 21

    תֶּרֶבYou will increaseגְּדֻלָּתִיmy greatnessוְתִסֹּבand turn toתְּנַחֲמֵנִי׃comfort me

    Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.

22. 22

    גַּם־אֲנִיalso IאוֹדְךָI will praise Youבִכְלִי־נֶבֶלwith the harpאֲמִתְּךָYour truthאֱלֹהָיO my GodאֲזַמְּרָהI will sing praisesלְךָto Youבְכִנּוֹרwith the lyreקְדוֹשׁO Holy One ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Israel

    I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.

23. 23

    תְּרַנֵּנָּהshall greatly rejoiceשְׂפָתַיmy lipsכִּיbecauseאֲזַמְּרָה־לָּךְI sing praises to Youוְנַפְשִׁיand my soulאֲשֶׁרwhichפָּדִיתָ׃You have redeemed

    My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

24. 24

    גַּם־לְשׁוֹנִיmy tongue alsoכׇּל־הַיּוֹםall the dayתֶּהְגֶּהshall speak ofצִדְקָתֶךָYour righteousnessכִּי־בֹשׁוּfor they are ashamedכִי־חָפְרוּfor they are brought to confusionמְבַקְשֵׁיwho seekרָעָתִי׃my hurt

    My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.
