   לַמְנַצֵּחַto the chief musicianשִׁירa songמִזְמוֹרa psalmהָרִיעוּmake a joyful noiseלֵאלֹהִיםto Godכׇּל־הָאָרֶץ׃all the earth

   To the chief Musician, A Song or Psalm. Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:

   זַמְּרוּsing toכְבוֹד־שְׁמוֹthe glory of His nameשִׂימוּmakeכָבוֹדgloriousתְּהִלָּתוֹ׃His praise

   Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.

3. 3

   אִמְרוּsayלֵאלֹהִיםto Godמַה־נּוֹרָאhow terrible areמַעֲשֶׂיךָYour worksבְּרֹבthrough the greatness ofעֻזְּךָYour powerיְכַחֲשׁוּshall cringeלְךָbefore Youאֹיְבֶיךָ׃Your enemies

   Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

   כׇּל־הָאָרֶץall the earthיִשְׁתַּחֲווּshall worshipלְךָYouוִיזַמְּרוּ־לָךְand shall sing to Youיְזַמְּרוּthey shall sing toשִׁמְךָYour nameסֶלָה׃Selah

   All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

   לְכוּcomeוּרְאוּand seeמִפְעֲלוֹתthe works ofאֱלֹהִיםGodנוֹרָאterrible isעֲלִילָהHis doingעַל־בְּנֵיtoward the sons ofאָדָם׃man

   Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

   הָפַךְHe turnedיָםthe seaלְיַבָּשָׁהinto dry landבַּנָּהָרthrough the riverיַעַבְרוּthey wentבְרָגֶלon footשָׁםthereנִשְׂמְחָה־בּוֹ׃did we rejoice in Him

   He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.

   מֹשֵׁלHe rulesבִּגְבוּרָתוֹwith His powerעוֹלָםforeverעֵינָיוHis eyesבַּגּוֹיִםbehold the nationsתִּצְפֶּינָהkeep watchהַסּוֹרְרִיםthe rebelliousאַל־[יָרוּמוּ]let them not exalt(ירימו)לָמוֹthemselvesסֶלָה׃Selah

   He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

   בָּרְכוּO blessעַמִּיםyou peoplesאֱלֹהֵינוּour Godוְהַשְׁמִיעוּand make to be heardקוֹלthe voice ofתְּהִלָּתוֹ׃His praise

   O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:

   הַשָּׂםwho has keptנַפְשֵׁנוּour soulבַּחַיִּיםin lifeוְלֹא־נָתַןand has not sufferedלַמּוֹטto be movedרַגְלֵנוּ׃our foot

   Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.

    כִּי־בְחַנְתָּנוּfor You have tested usאֱלֹהִיםO GodצְרַפְתָּנוּYou have tried usכִּצְרׇף־כָּסֶף׃as silver is refined

    For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

11. 11

    הֲבֵאתָנוּYou have brought usבַמְּצוּדָהinto the netשַׂמְתָּYou have laidמוּעָקָהafflictionבְמׇתְנֵינוּ׃upon our loins

    Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.

12. 12

    הִרְכַּבְתָּYou caused to rideאֱנוֹשׁmenלְרֹאשֵׁנוּover our headsבָּאנוּ־בָאֵשׁwe went through fireוּבַמַּיִםand through waterוַתּוֹצִיאֵנוּbut You brought us outלָרְוָיָה׃into abundance

    Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

    אָבוֹאI will go intoבֵיתְךָYour houseבְעוֹלוֹתwith burnt offeringsאֲשַׁלֵּםI will payלְךָto Youנְדָרָי׃my vows

    I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,

14. 14

    אֲשֶׁר־פָּצוּwhich have utteredשְׂפָתָיmy lipsוְדִבֶּר־פִּיand my mouth has spokenבַּצַּר־לִי׃when I was in trouble

    Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.

15. 15

    עֹלוֹתburnt offeringsמֵיחִיםof fatlingsאַעֲלֶה־לָּךְI will offer to Youעִם־קְטֹרֶתwith the sweet smoke ofאֵילִיםramsאֶעֱשֶׂה־בָקָרI will offer bullocksעִם־עַתּוּדִיםwith goatsסֶלָה׃Selah

    I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

16. 16

    לְכוּ־שִׁמְעוּcome and hearוַאֲסַפְּרָהand I will declareכׇּל־יִרְאֵיall you who fearאֱלֹהִיםGodאֲשֶׁרwhichעָשָׂהhe didלְנַפְשִׁי׃for my soul

    Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

    אֵלָיוto Himפִּי־קָרָאתִיI cried with my mouthוְרוֹמַםand He was extolledתַּחַתwithלְשׁוֹנִי׃my tongue

    I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.

18. 18

    אָוֶןwickednessאִם־רָאִיתִיif I had regardedבְלִבִּיin my heartלֹאnotיִשְׁמַעwould He have heardאֲדֹנָי׃the Lord

    If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

19. 19

    אָכֵןsurelyשָׁמַעhas heardאֱלֹהִיםGodהִקְשִׁיבHe has attendedבְּקוֹלthe voice ofתְּפִלָּתִי׃my prayer

    But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

20. 20

    בָּרוּךְblessed beאֱלֹהִיםGodאֲשֶׁרwhichלֹא־הֵסִיר־תְּפִלָּתִיhas not turned away my prayerוְחַסְדּוֹnor His mercyמֵאִתִּי׃from me

    Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
