   מִזְמוֹרmiz/MORa psalmלְדָוִדle/Da/VIDof Davidבִּהְיוֹתוֹbih/yo/TOwhen he wasבְּמִדְבַּרbe/mid/BARin the wilderness ofיְהוּדָה׃Ye/hu/DAJudah

   A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.

   אֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMO Godאֵלִיe/LImy Godאַתָּהat/TAYou areאֲשַׁחֲרֶךָּa/sha/cha/REK/kaI seek You earnestlyצָמְאָהtsa/me/Athirstsלְךָle/KHAfor Youנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulכָּמַהּka/MAlongsלְךָle/KHAfor Youבְשָׂרִיve/sa/RImy fleshבְּאֶרֶץ־צִיָּהbe/E/rets-tsiy/YAin a dry landוְעָיֵףve/a/YEFand wearyבְּלִי־מָיִם׃be/LI-MA/yimwithout water

   O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

   כֵּןkensoבַּקֹּדֶשׁbak/KO/deshin the sanctuaryחֲזִיתִךָcha/zi/TI/khaI have beheld Youלִרְאוֹתlir/OTto seeעֻזְּךָuz/ze/KHAYour powerוּכְבוֹדֶךָ׃u/khe/vo/DE/khaand Your glory

   To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

   כִּי־טוֹבki-tovbecause is betterחַסְדְּךָchas/de/KHAYour kindnessמֵחַיִּיםme/chay/YIMmore than lifeשְׂפָתַיse/fa/TAYmy lipsיְשַׁבְּחוּנְךָ׃ye/shab/be/CHUN/khashall praise You

   Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

   כֵּןkenthusאֲבָרֶכְךָa/va/rekh/KHAwill I bless Youבְחַיָּיve/chay/YAYwhile I liveבְּשִׁמְךָbe/shim/KHAin Your nameאֶשָּׂאes/SAI will lift upכַפָּי׃khap/PAYmy hands

   Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

   כְּמוֹke/MOasחֵלֶבCHE/levwith marrowוָדֶשֶׁןva/DE/shenand fatnessתִּשְׂבַּעtis/BAis satisfiedנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulוְשִׂפְתֵיve/sif/TEand with lips ofרְנָנוֹתre/na/NOTjoyful songיְהַלֶּל־פִּי׃ye/hal/LEL-pimy mouth praises

   My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

   אִם־זְכַרְתִּיךָim-ze/khar/TI/khawhen I remember Youעַל־יְצוּעָיal-ye/tsu/AYupon my bedבְּאַשְׁמֻרוֹתbe/ash/mu/ROTin the night watchesאֶהְגֶּה־בָּךְ׃eh/GE-bakhI meditate on You

   When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

8. 8

   כִּי־הָיִיתָki-ha/YI/tabecause You have beenעֶזְרָתָהez/RA/taa helpלִּיlito meוּבְצֵלu/ve/TSELand in the shadow ofכְּנָפֶיךָke/na/FE/khaYour wingsאֲרַנֵּן׃a/ran/NENI will rejoice

   Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

   דָּבְקָהda/ve/KAclingsנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulאַחֲרֶיךָa/cha/RE/khaafter Youבִּיbimeתָּמְכָהta/me/KHAupholdsיְמִינֶךָ׃ye/mi/NE/khaYour right hand

   My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

10. 10

    וְהֵמָּהve/HEM/mabut theyלְשׁוֹאָהle/sho/Ato ruinיְבַקְשׁוּye/vak/SHUseekנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulיָבֹאוּya/VO/uwill goבְּתַחְתִּיּוֹתbe/tach/tiy/YOTinto the lower parts ofהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe earth

    But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

11. 11

    יַגִּירֻהוּyag/gi/RU/huthey will be poured outעַל־יְדֵי־חָרֶבal-ye/DE-CHA/revto the power of the swordמְנָתme/NATthe portion ofשֻׁעָלִיםshu/a/LIMfoxesיִהְיוּ׃yih/YUthey shall be

    They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.

    וְהַמֶּלֶךְve/ham/ME/lekhbut the kingיִשְׂמַחyis/MACHshall rejoiceבֵּאלֹהִיםbe/lo/HIMin Godיִתְהַלֵּלyit/hal/LELshall gloryכׇּל־הַנִּשְׁבָּעkol-han/nish/BAeveryone who swearsבּוֹboby Himכִּיkiforיִסָּכֵרyis/sa/KHERshall be stoppedפִּיpithe mouth ofדוֹבְרֵי־שָׁקֶר׃dov/RE-SHA/kerthose who speak lies

    But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
