   To the chief Musician upon Neginah, A Psalm of David.

2. 2

   שִׁמְעָהshim/Ahearאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMO Godרִנָּתִיrin/na/TImy cryהַקְשִׁיבָהhak/SHI/vaattendתְּפִלָּתִי׃te/fil/la/TIto my prayer

   Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

   מִקְצֵהmik/TSEfrom the end ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato Youאֶקְרָאek/RAI will cryבַּעֲטֹףba/a/TOFwhen faintsלִבִּיlib/BImy heartבְּצוּר־יָרוּםbe/TSUR-ya/RUMto the rock that is higherמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/nithan Iתַנְחֵנִי׃tan/CHE/nilead me

   From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

   כִּי־הָיִיתָki-ha/YI/tafor You have beenמַחְסֶהmach/SEa refugeלִיlito meמִגְדַּל־עֹזmig/DAL-oza strong towerמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofאוֹיֵב׃o/YEVthe enemy

   For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

   אָגוּרָהa/GU/raI will abideבְאׇהׇלְךָve/o/hol/KHAin Your tentעוֹלָמִיםo/la/MIMforeverאֶחֱסֶהe/che/SEI will take refugeבְסֵתֶרve/SE/terin the covert ofכְּנָפֶיךָke/na/FE/khaYour wingsסֶּלָה׃SE/laSelah

   I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

   כִּי־אַתָּהki-at/TAfor Youאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMO Godשָׁמַעְתָּsha/MA/taYou have heardלִנְדָרָיlin/da/RAYmy vowsנָתַתָּna/TAT/taYou have grantedיְרֻשַּׁתye/rush/SHATthe heritage ofיִרְאֵיyir/Ethose who fearשְׁמֶךָ׃she/ME/khaYour name

   For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

   יָמִיםya/MIMdaysעַל־יְמֵי־מֶלֶךְal-ye/ME-ME/lekhto the days of the kingתּוֹסִיףto/SIFYou will addשְׁנוֹתָיוshe/no/TAYVhis yearsכְּמוֹ־דֹרke/MO-dorlike generationוָדֹר׃va/DORand generation

   Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.

   יֵשֵׁבye/SHEVmay he be enthronedעוֹלָםo/LAMforeverלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodחֶסֶדCHE/sedkindnessוֶאֱמֶתve/e/METand truthמַןmanappointיִנְצְרֻהוּ׃yin/tse/RU/huthat they may preserve him

   He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

   כֵּןkensoאֲזַמְּרָהa/zam/me/RAwill I sing praise toשִׁמְךָshim/KHAYour nameלָעַדla/ADforeverלְשַׁלְּמִיle/shal/le/MIas I performנְדָרַיne/da/RAYmy vowsיוֹםyomdayיוֹם׃yomby day

   So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
