   בְּבֹאbe/VOwhen cameהַזִּיפִיםhaz/Zi/FIMthe Ziphitesוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidלְשָׁאוּלle/Sha/ULto Saulהֲלֹאha/LOis notדָוִדDa/VIDDavidמִסְתַּתֵּרmis/tat/TERhiding himselfעִמָּנוּ׃im/MA/nuwith us

   when the Ziphims came and said to Saul, Doth not David hide himself with us?

   אֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMO Godבְּשִׁמְךָbe/shim/KHAby Your nameהוֹשִׁיעֵנִיho/shi/E/nisave meוּבִגְבוּרָתְךָu/vig/vu/ra/te/KHAand by Your strengthתְדִינֵנִי׃te/di/NE/nivindicate me

   Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.

   אֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMO Godשְׁמַעshe/MAhearתְּפִלָּתִיte/fil/la/TImy prayerהַאֲזִינָהha/a/ZI/nagive earלְאִמְרֵי־פִי׃le/im/RE-fito the words of my mouth

   Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.

   כִּיkiforזָרִיםza/RIMstrangers areקָמוּKA/murisen upעָלַיa/LAYagainst meוְעָרִיצִיםve/a/ri/TSIMand violent menבִּקְשׁוּbik/SHUseek afterנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulלֹאlonotשָׂמוּSA/muhave they setאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלְנֶגְדָּםle/neg/DAMbefore themסֶלָה׃SE/laSelah

   For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGod isעֹזֵרo/ZERa helperלִיlito meאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe Lordבְּסֹמְכֵיbe/som/KHEis with those who upholdנַפְשִׁי׃naf/SHImy soul

   Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.

   (ישוב)yashavav[יָשִׁיב]ya/SHIVHe will returnהָרַעha/RAevilלְשֹׁרְרָיle/shor/RAYto my enemiesבַּאֲמִתְּךָba/a/mit/te/KHAin Your truthהַצְמִיתֵם׃hats/mi/TEMdestroy them

   He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.

   בִּנְדָבָהbin/da/VAwith a freewill offeringאֶזְבְּחָה־לָּךְez/be/CHA-lakhI will sacrifice to Youאוֹדֶה־שִּׁמְךָo/DE-shim/KHAI will praise Your nameיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDכִּי־טוֹב׃ki-tovfor it is good

   I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good.

   כִּיkiforמִכׇּל־צָרָהmik/KOL-tsa/RAfrom all troubleהִצִּילָנִיhits/tsi/LA/niHe has delivered meוּבְאֹיְבַיu/ve/oy/VAYand upon my enemiesרָאֲתָהra/a/TAhas lookedעֵינִי׃e/NImy eye

   For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
