לַמְנַצֵּחַto the chief musicianבִּנְגִינֹתwith stringed instrumentsמַשְׂכִּילa maskilלְדָוִד׃of David
To the chief Musician on Neginoth, Maschil, A Psalm of David,

בְּבֹאwhen cameהַזִּיפִיםthe Ziphimוַיֹּאמְרוּand they saidלְשָׁאוּלto Saulהֲלֹאdoes notדָוִדDavidמִסְתַּתֵּרhide himselfעִמָּנוּ׃with us
when the Ziphims came and said to Saul, Doth not David hide himself with us?

אֱלֹהִיםO Godבְּשִׁמְךָby Your nameהוֹשִׁיעֵנִיsave meוּבִגְבוּרָתְךָand by Your strengthתְדִינֵנִי׃judge me
Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.

אֱלֹהִיםO Godשְׁמַעhearתְּפִלָּתִיmy prayerהַאֲזִינָהgive earלְאִמְרֵי־פִי׃to the words of my mouth
Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.

כִּיforזָרִיםstrangers areקָמוּrisen upעָלַיagainst meוְעָרִיצִיםand violent menבִּקְשׁוּseek afterנַפְשִׁיmy soulלֹאnotשָׂמוּhave they setאֱלֹהִיםGodלְנֶגְדָּםbefore themסֶלָה׃Selah
For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.

הִנֵּהbeholdאֱלֹהִיםGod isעֹזֵרmy helperלִיfor meאֲדֹנָיthe Lordבְּסֹמְכֵיis the sustainer ofנַפְשִׁי׃my soul
Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.

(ישוב)[יָשִׁיב]He shall repayהָרַעevilלְשֹׁרְרָיto my enemiesבַּאֲמִתְּךָin Your truthהַצְמִיתֵם׃cut them off
He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.

בִּנְדָבָהwith a freewill offeringאֶזְבְּחָה־לָּךְI will sacrifice to Youאוֹדֶה־שִּׁמְךָI will praise Your nameיְהֹוָהO LORDכִּי־טוֹב׃for it is good
I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good.

כִּיforמִכׇּל־צָרָהfrom all afflictionהִצִּילָנִיHe has delivered meוּבְאֹיְבַיand upon my enemiesרָאֲתָהhas gazedעֵינִי׃my eye
For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
