   To the chief Musician, Maschil, A Psalm of David,

   בְּבוֹאbe/VOwhen cameדּוֹאֵגDo/EGDoegהָאֲדֹמִיha/A/do/MIthe Edomiteוַיַּגֵּדvay/yag/GEDand he toldלְשָׁאוּלLe/sha/ULSaulוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלוֹloto himבָּאbahas comeדָוִדDa/VIDDavidאֶל־בֵּיתel-betto the house ofאֲחִימֶלֶךְ׃A/chi/ME/lekhAhimelech

   when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech.

   מַה־תִּתְהַלֵּלma-tit/hal/LELwhy do you boast yourselfבְּרָעָהbe/ra/Ain evilהַגִּבּוֹרhag/gib/BORO mighty manחֶסֶדCHE/sedthe kindness ofאֵלelGodכׇּל־הַיּוֹם׃kol-hay/YOMis all the day

   Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

   הַוּוֹתhav/VOTdestructionתַּחְשֹׁבtach/SHOVdevisesלְשׁוֹנֶךָle/sho/NE/khayour tongueכְּתַעַרke/TA/arlike a razorמְלֻטָּשׁme/lut/TASHsharpenedעֹשֵׂהo/SEworkingרְמִיָּה׃re/miy/YAdeceitfully

   Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

   אָהַבְתָּa/HAV/tayou loveרָּעraevilמִטּוֹבmit/TOVmore than goodשֶׁקֶרSHE/kerlyingמִדַּבֵּרmid/dab/BERrather than speakingצֶדֶקTSE/dekrighteousnessסֶלָה׃SE/laSelah

   Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

   אָהַבְתָּa/HAV/tayou loveכׇל־דִּבְרֵי־בָלַעkhol-div/RE-VA/laall devouring wordsלְשׁוֹןle/SHONa tongue ofמִרְמָה׃mir/MAdeceit

   Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

   גַּם־אֵלgam-elGod likewiseיִתׇּצְךָyit/tots/KHAshall destroy youלָנֶצַחla/NE/tsachforeverיַחְתְּךָyach/te/KHAHe will snatch youוְיִסָּחֲךָve/yis/sa/cha/KHAand pluck you outמֵאֹהֶלme/O/helfrom the tentוְשֵׁרֶשְׁךָve/she/resh/KHAand root you outמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsfrom the land ofחַיִּיםchay/YIMthe livingסֶלָה׃SE/laSelah

   God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

   וְיִרְאוּve/yir/Uand shall seeצַדִּיקִיםtsad/di/KIMthe righteousוְיִירָאוּve/yi/RA/uand shall fearוְעָלָיוve/a/LAYVand at himיִשְׂחָקוּ׃yis/CHA/kuthey shall laugh

   The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַגֶּבֶרhag/GE/verthe manלֹאlowho did notיָשִׂיםya/SIMmakeאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodמָעוּזּוֹma/uz/ZOhis strengthוַיִּבְטַחvay/yiv/TACHbut trustedבְּרֹבbe/ROVin the abundance ofעׇשְׁרוֹosh/ROhis richesיָעֹזya/OZand grew strongבְּהַוָּתוֹ׃be/hav/va/TOin his wickedness

   Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIbut Iכְּזַיִתke/ZA/yitlike an olive treeרַעֲנָןra/a/NANgreenבְּבֵיתbe/VETin the house ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodבָּטַחְתִּיba/TACH/tiI trustבְחֶסֶד־אֱלֹהִיםve/CHE/sed-e/lo/HIMin the kindness of Godעוֹלָםo/LAMforeverוָעֶד׃va/EDand ever

    But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

    אוֹדְךָod/KHAI will praise Youלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverכִּיkibecauseעָשִׂיתָa/SI/taYou have done itוַאֲקַוֶּהva/a/kav/VEand I will hope inשִׁמְךָshim/KHAYour nameכִי־טוֹבkhi-tovfor it is goodנֶגֶדNE/gedbeforeחֲסִידֶיךָ׃cha/si/DE/khaYour faithful ones

    I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
