   שִׁירa songמִזְמוֹרa psalmלִבְנֵי־קֹרַח׃unto the sons of Korah

   A Song and Psalm for the sons of Korah.

2. 2

   גָּדוֹלgreat isיְהֹוָהthe LORDוּמְהֻלָּלand to be praisedמְאֹדgreatlyבְּעִירin the city ofאֱלֹהֵינוּour Godהַר־קׇדְשׁוֹ׃in the mountain of His holiness

   Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

   יְפֵהbeautiful inנוֹףelevationמְשׂוֹשׂthe joy ofכׇּל־הָאָרֶץall the earthהַר־צִיּוֹןmount Zionיַרְכְּתֵיthe sides ofצָפוֹןthe northקִרְיַתthe city ofמֶלֶךְthe Kingרָב׃great

   Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

   אֱלֹהִיםGodבְּאַרְמְנוֹתֶיהָin her palacesנוֹדַעis knownלְמִשְׂגָּב׃for a fortress

   God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

   כִּי־הִנֵּהbecause beholdהַמְּלָכִיםthe kingsנוֹעֲדוּwere assembledעָבְרוּthey passed byיַחְדָּו׃together

   For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

   הֵמָּהtheyרָאוּthey sawכֵּןsoתָּמָהוּthey were astoundedנִבְהֲלוּthey were dismayedנֶחְפָּזוּ׃they hastened away

   They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away.

   רְעָדָהtremblingאֲחָזָתַםtook hold of themשָׁםthereחִילpainכַּיּוֹלֵדָה׃like a woman in travail

   Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

   בְּרוּחַwith a wind ofקָדִיםthe eastתְּשַׁבֵּרYou breakאֳנִיּוֹתthe ships ofתַּרְשִׁישׁ׃Tarshish

   Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

9. 9

   כַּאֲשֶׁרasשָׁמַעְנוּwe heardכֵּןthusרָאִינוּwe sawבְּעִיר־יְהֹוָהin the city of the LORDצְבָאוֹתof Hostsבְּעִירin the city ofאֱלֹהֵינוּour GodאֱלֹהִיםGodיְכוֹנְנֶהָwill establish itעַד־עוֹלָםforeverסֶלָה׃Selah

   As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah.

    דִּמִּינוּwe have thought ofאֱלֹהִיםO GodחַסְדֶּךָYour mercyבְּקֶרֶבin the midst ofהֵיכָלֶךָ׃Your temple

    We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

11. 11

    כְּשִׁמְךָas Your nameאֱלֹהִיםO Godכֵּןso isתְּהִלָּתְךָYour praiseעַל־קַצְוֵי־אֶרֶץto the ends of the earthצֶדֶקrighteousnessמָלְאָהis full ofיְמִינֶךָ׃Your right hand

    According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

12. 12

    יִשְׂמַחlet rejoiceהַר־צִיּוֹןmount Zionתָּגֵלְנָהlet be gladבְּנוֹתthe daughters ofיְהוּדָהJudahלְמַעַןbecause ofמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ׃Your judgments

    Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

13. 13

    סֹבּוּwalk aboutצִיּוֹןZionוְהַקִּיפוּהָand go round about herסִפְרוּcountמִגְדָּלֶיהָ׃her towers

    Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.

14. 14

    שִׁיתוּmarkלִבְּכֶםyour heartלְחֵילָהֿher bulwarkפַּסְּגוּconsiderאַרְמְנוֹתֶיהָher palacesלְמַעַןthatתְּסַפְּרוּyou may tell itלְדוֹרto the generationאַחֲרוֹן׃following

    Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.

15. 15

    כִּיbecauseזֶהthisאֱלֹהִיםGodאֱלֹהֵינוּour Godעוֹלָםforeverוָעֶדand everהוּאHeיְנַהֲגֵנוּHe will guide usעַל־מוּת׃even unto death

    For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
