   לַמְנַצֵּחַto the chief musicianלִבְנֵי־קֹרַחunto the sons of Korahעַל־עֲלָמוֹתupon Alamothשִׁיר׃a song

   To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth.

2. 2

   אֱלֹהִיםGod isלָנוּfor usמַחֲסֶהis a refugeוָעֹזand strengthעֶזְרָהa helpבְצָרוֹתin troubleנִמְצָאpresentמְאֹד׃very

   God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

3. 3

   עַל־כֵּןthereforeלֹא־נִירָאwe will not fearבְּהָמִירthough changeאָרֶץthe earthוּבְמוֹטand though be movedהָרִיםthe mountainsבְּלֵבinto the heart ofיַמִּים׃the seas

   Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

   יֶהֱמוּthough roarיֶחְמְרוּand are troubledמֵימָיוits watersיִרְעֲשׁוּ־הָרִיםthough the mountains shakeבְּגַאֲוָתוֹat its swellingסֶלָה׃Selah

   Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

   נָהָרthere is a riverפְּלָגָיוits streamsיְשַׂמְּחוּthey make gladעִיר־אֱלֹהִיםthe city of Godקְדֹשׁthe holiest ofמִשְׁכְּנֵיthe dwellings ofעֶלְיוֹן׃the Most High

   There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

   אֱלֹהִיםGodבְּקִרְבָּהּin the midst of herבַּל־תִּמּוֹטshe shall not be movedיַעְזְרֶהָshall help herאֱלֹהִיםGodלִפְנוֹתat the turning ofבֹּקֶר׃the morning

   God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

   הָמוּragedגוֹיִםthe nationsמָטוּwere movedמַמְלָכוֹתkingdomsנָתַןHe utteredבְּקוֹלוֹHis voiceתָּמוּגmeltedאָרֶץ׃the earth

   The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

   יְהֹוָהthe LORDצְבָאוֹתof Hostsעִמָּנוּwith usמִשְׂגָּב־לָנוּis our fortressאֱלֹהֵיthe God ofיַעֲקֹבJacobסֶלָה׃Selah

   The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

   לְכוּ־חֲזוּcome beholdמִפְעֲלוֹתthe works ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֲשֶׁר־שָׂםwho has madeשַׁמּוֹתdesolationsבָּאָרֶץ׃in the land

   Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

    מַשְׁבִּיתHe makes to ceaseמִלְחָמוֹתwarsעַד־קְצֵהunto the ends ofהָאָרֶץthe earthקֶשֶׁתthe bowיְשַׁבֵּרHe breaksוְקִצֵּץand He cuts in sunderחֲנִיתthe spearעֲגָלוֹתthe chariotsיִשְׂרֹףHe burnsבָּאֵשׁ׃by fire

    He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

11. 11

    הַרְפּוּbe stillוּדְעוּand knowכִּי־אָנֹכִיthat I amאֱלֹהִיםGodאָרוּםI will be exaltedבַּגּוֹיִםamong the nationsאָרוּםI will be exaltedבָּאָרֶץ׃in the earth

    Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

    יְהֹוָהthe LORDצְבָאוֹתof Hostsעִמָּנוּwith usמִשְׂגָּב־לָנוּis our fortressאֱלֹהֵיthe God ofיַעֲקֹבJacobסֶלָה׃Selah

    The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
