   To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, for the sons of Korah, Maschil, A Song of loves.

   רָחַשׁra/CHASHoverflowsלִבִּיlib/BImy heartדָּבָרda/VARa matterטוֹבtovgoodlyאֹמֵרo/MERrecitingאָנִיA/niI amמַעֲשַׂיma/a/SAYmy versesלְמֶלֶךְle/ME/lekhfor the kingלְשׁוֹנִיle/sho/NImy tongue isעֵטetthe pen ofסוֹפֵרso/FERa writerמָהִיר׃ma/HIRready

   My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

   יׇפְיָפִיתָyof/ya/FI/tayou are fairerמִבְּנֵיmib/be/NEthan the sons ofאָדָםa/DAMmanהוּצַקHU/tsakis pouredחֵןchengraceבְּשִׂפְתוֹתֶיךָbe/sif/to/TE/khainto your lipsעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeבֵּרַכְךָbe/rakh/KHAhas blessed youאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלְעוֹלָם׃le/o/LAMforever

   Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

   חֲגוֹר־חַרְבְּךָcha/GOR-char/be/KHAgird your swordעַל־יָרֵךְal-ya/REKHupon your thighגִּבּוֹרgib/BORO mighty oneהוֹדְךָhod/KHAyour gloryוַהֲדָרֶךָ׃va/ha/da/RE/khaand your majesty

   Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.

   וַהֲדָרְךָva/ha/da/re/KHAand your majestyצְלַחtse/LACHprosperouslyרְכַבre/KHAVride onעַל־דְּבַר־אֱמֶתal-de/VAR-e/METin the cause of truthוְעַנְוָה־צֶדֶקve/an/VA-TSE/dekand meekness and righteousnessוְתוֹרְךָve/tor/KHAand let teach youנוֹרָאוֹתno/ra/OTawesome deedsיְמִינֶךָ׃ye/mi/NE/khayour right hand

   And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

   חִצֶּיךָchits/TSE/khayour arrowsשְׁנוּנִיםshe/nu/NIMare sharpעַמִּיםam/MIMthe peoplesתַּחְתֶּיךָtach/TE/khabeneath youיִפְּלוּyip/pe/LUfallבְּלֵבbe/LEVin the heart ofאוֹיְבֵיoy/VEthe enemies ofהַמֶּלֶךְ׃ham/ME/lekhthe king

   Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.

   כִּסְאֲךָkis/a/KHAyour throneאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMO Godעוֹלָםo/LAMforeverוָעֶדva/EDand everשֵׁבֶטSHE/vetthe scepter ofמִישֹׁרmi/SHORequityשֵׁבֶטSHE/vetthe scepter ofמַלְכוּתֶךָ׃mal/khu/TE/khayour kingdom

   Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

   אָהַבְתָּa/HAV/tayou loveצֶּדֶקTSE/dekrighteousnessוַתִּשְׂנָא־רֶשַׁעvat/tis/NA-RE/shaand you have hated wickednessעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeמְשָׁחֲךָme/sha/cha/KHAhas anointed youאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour GodשֶׁמֶןSHE/menwith the oil ofשָׂשׂוֹןsa/SONgladnessמֵחֲבֵרֶךָ׃me/cha/ve/re/KHAabove your fellows

   Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

   מֹר־וַאֲהָלוֹתmor-va/a/ha/LOTare myrrh and aloesקְצִיעוֹתke/tsi/OTcassiaכׇּל־בִּגְדֹתֶיךָkol-big/do/TE/khaall your garmentsמִן־הֵיכְלֵיmin-HE/khe/leout of the palaces ofשֵׁןshenivoryמִנִּיmin/NIstringed instrumentsשִׂמְּחוּךָ׃sim/me/CHU/khahave made you glad

   All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.

    בְּנוֹתbe/NOTthe daughters ofמְלָכִיםme/la/KHIMkingsבְּיִקְּרוֹתֶיךָbe/yik/ke/ro/TE/khaare among your honorable womenנִצְּבָהnits/tse/VAstandsשֵׁגַלshe/GALthe queenלִימִינְךָli/mi/ne/KHAat your right handבְּכֶתֶםbe/KHE/temin the gold ofאוֹפִיר׃O/FIROphir

    Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.

    שִׁמְעִי־בַתshim/I-vathear O daughterוּרְאִיu/re/Iand considerוְהַטִּיve/hat/TIand inclineאׇזְנֵךְoz/NEKHyour earוְשִׁכְחִיve/shikh/CHIand forgetעַמֵּךְam/MEKHyour peopleוּבֵיתu/VETand the house ofאָבִיךְ׃a/VIKHyour father

    Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;

12. 12

    וְיִתְאָוve/yit/AVso shall desireהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingיׇפְיֵךְyof/YEKHyour beautyכִּי־הוּאki-hufor he isאֲדֹנַיִךְa/do/NA/yikhyour lordוְהִשְׁתַּחֲוִי־לוֹ׃ve/hish/ta/cha/VI-loand do homage to him

    So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.

13. 13

    וּבַת־צֹרu/VAT-tsorand O daughter of Tyreבְּמִנְחָהbe/min/CHAwith a grain offeringפָּנַיִךְpa/NA/yikhyour favorיְחַלּוּye/chal/LUshall entreatעֲשִׁירֵיa/SHI/rethe rich amongעָם׃amthe people

    And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.

14. 14

    כׇּל־כְּבוּדָּהkol-ke/vud/DAis all gloriousבַת־מֶלֶךְvat-ME/lekhthe king's daughterפְּנִימָהpe/NI/mawithinמִמִּשְׁבְּצוֹתmim/mish/be/TSOTwrought ofזָהָבza/HAVgoldלְבוּשָׁהּ׃le/vu/SHAis her clothing

    The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.

15. 15

    לִרְקָמוֹתlir/ka/MOTin embroidered garmentsתּוּבַלtu/VALshe shall be broughtלַמֶּלֶךְlam/ME/lekhto the kingבְּתוּלוֹתbe/tu/LOTvirginsאַחֲרֶיהָa/cha/RE/hathat follow herרֵעוֹתֶיהָre/o/TE/haher companionsמוּבָאוֹתmu/va/OTshall be broughtלָךְ׃lakhto you

    She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.

16. 16

    תּוּבַלְנָהtu/val/NAthey shall be ledבִּשְׂמָחֹתbis/ma/CHOTwith gladnessוָגִילva/GILand rejoicingתְּבֹאֶינָהte/vo/E/nathey shall enterבְּהֵיכַלbe/he/KHALinto the palace ofמֶלֶךְ׃ME/lekhthe king

    With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.

17. 17

    תַּחַתTA/chatinstead ofאֲבֹתֶיךָa/vo/TE/khayour fathersיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beבָנֶיךָva/NE/khayour childrenתְּשִׁיתֵמוֹte/shi/TE/moyou shall make themלְשָׂרִיםle/sa/RIMprincesבְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץ׃be/KHOL-ha/A/retsin all the earth

    Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.

18. 18

    אַזְכִּירָהaz/KI/raI will make to be rememberedשִׁמְךָshim/KHAyour nameבְּכׇל־דֹּרbe/KHOL-dorin all generationsוָדֹרva/DORto generationעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeעַמִּיםam/MIMthe peoplesיְהוֹדוּךָye/ho/DU/khashall praise youלְעֹלָםle/o/LAMfor everוָעֶד׃va/EDand ever

    I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.
