   לַמְנַצֵּחַlam/nats/TSE/achto the chief musicianלִבְנֵי־קֹרַחliv/NE-KO/rachof the sons of Korahמַשְׂכִּיל׃mas/KILa maskil

   To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, Maschil.

2. 2

   אֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMO Godבְּאׇזְנֵינוּbe/oz/NE/nuin our earsשָׁמַעְנוּsha/MA/nuwe heardאֲבוֹתֵינוּa/vo/TE/nuour fathersסִפְּרוּ־לָנוּsip/pe/RU-LA/nuhave told usפֹּעַלPO/althe work ofפָּעַלְתָּpa/AL/taYou didבִימֵיהֶםvi/me/HEMin their daysבִּימֵיbi/MEin the days ofקֶדֶם׃KE/demof old

   We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.

   אַתָּהat/TAYouיָדְךָya/de/KHAwith Your handגּוֹיִםgo/YIMthe nationsהוֹרַשְׁתָּho/RASH/taYou drove outוַתִּטָּעֵםvat/tit/ta/EMand You planted themתָּרַעta/RAYou afflictedלְאֻמִּיםle/um/MIMthe peoplesוַתְּשַׁלְּחֵם׃vat/te/shal/le/CHEMand You cast them out

   How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.

   כִּיkibecauseלֹאlonotבְחַרְבָּםve/char/BAMby their swordיָרְשׁוּya/re/SHUdid they possessאָרֶץA/retsthe landוּזְרוֹעָםu/ze/ro/AMand their armלֹא־הוֹשִׁיעָהlo-ho/SHI/adid not saveלָּמוֹLA/mothemכִּי־יְמִינְךָki-ye/mi/ne/KHAbut Your right handוּזְרוֹעֲךָu/ze/ro/a/KHAand Your armוְאוֹרve/ORand the light ofפָּנֶיךָpa/NE/khaYour faceכִּיkibecauseרְצִיתָם׃re/tsi/TAMYou favored them

   For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.

   אַתָּה־הוּאat/TA-huYou areמַלְכִּיMal/KImy Kingאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMO Godצַוֵּהtsav/VEcommandיְשׁוּעוֹתye/shu/OTdeliverances forיַעֲקֹב׃Ya/a/KOVJacob

   Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.

   בְּךָbe/KHAin Youצָרֵינוּtsa/RE/nuour enemiesנְנַגֵּחַne/nag/GE/achwe will push downבְּשִׁמְךָbe/shim/KHAin Your nameנָבוּסna/VUSwe will tread downקָמֵינוּ׃ka/ME/nuthose who rise up against us

   Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.

   כִּיkiforלֹאlonotבְקַשְׁתִּיve/kash/TIin my bowאֶבְטָחev/TACHI trustוְחַרְבִּיve/char/BIand my swordלֹאlonotתוֹשִׁיעֵנִי׃to/shi/E/nishall it save me

   For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.

8. 8

   כִּיkibecauseהוֹשַׁעְתָּנוּho/sha/TA/nuYou have saved usמִצָּרֵינוּmits/tsa/RE/nufrom our foesוּמְשַׂנְאֵינוּu/me/san/E/nuand those who hate usהֱבִישׁוֹתָ׃he/vi/SHO/taYou have put to shame

   But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us.

9. 9

   בֵּאלֹהִיםbe/lo/HIMin Godהִלַּלְנוּhil/LAL/nuwe have gloriedכׇל־הַיּוֹםkhol-hay/YOMall the dayוְשִׁמְךָve/shim/KHAand Your nameלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverנוֹדֶהno/DEwe praiseסֶלָה׃SE/laSelah

   In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.

10. 10

    אַף־זָנַחְתָּaf-za/NACH/tayet You have cast offוַתַּכְלִימֵנוּvat/takh/li/ME/nuand put us to shameוְלֹא־תֵצֵאve/LO-te/TSEand You go not forthבְּצִבְאוֹתֵינוּ׃be/tsiv/o/TE/nuwith our armies

    But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies.

11. 11

    תְּשִׁיבֵנוּte/shi/VE/nuYou make us turn backאָחוֹרa/CHORbackמִנִּי־צָרmin/NI-tsarfrom the enemyוּמְשַׂנְאֵינוּu/me/san/E/nuand those who hate usשָׁסוּSHA/sutake plunderלָמוֹ׃LA/mofor themselves

    Thou makest us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves.

12. 12

    תִּתְּנֵנוּtit/te/ne/NUYou have given usכְּצֹאןke/TSONlike sheep forמַאֲכָלma/a/KHALeatingוּבַגּוֹיִםu/vag/go/YIMand among the nationsזֵרִיתָנוּ׃ze/ri/TA/nuYou have scattered us

    Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen.

13. 13

    תִּמְכֹּר־עַמְּךָtim/KOR-am/me/KHAYou sell Your peopleבְלֹא־הוֹןve/LO-honfor no wealthוְלֹא־רִבִּיתָve/LO-rib/BI/taand have not increasedבִּמְחִירֵיהֶם׃bim/chi/re/HEMby their price

    Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price.

14. 14

    תְּשִׂימֵנוּte/si/ME/nuYou make usחֶרְפָּהcher/PAa reproachלִשְׁכֵנֵינוּlish/khe/NE/nuto our neighborsלַעַגLA/aga scornוָקֶלֶסva/KE/lesand a derisionלִסְבִיבוֹתֵינוּ׃lis/vi/vo/TE/nuto those around us

    Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.

15. 15

    תְּשִׂימֵנוּte/si/ME/nuYou make usמָשָׁלma/SHALa bywordבַּגּוֹיִםbag/go/YIMamong the nationsמְנוֹד־רֹאשׁme/NOD-rosha shaking of the headבַּלְאֻמִּים׃bal/um/MIMamong the peoples

    Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.

16. 16

    כׇּל־הַיּוֹםkol-hay/YOMall the dayכְּלִמָּתִיke/lim/ma/TImy confusionנֶגְדִּיneg/DIis before meוּבֹשֶׁתu/VO/shetand the shame ofפָּנַיpa/NAYmy faceכִּסָּתְנִי׃kis/SAT/niit has covered me

    My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me,

17. 17

    מִקּוֹלmik/KOLfor the voice ofמְחָרֵףme/cha/REFhim who tauntsוּמְגַדֵּףu/me/gad/DEFand blasphemesמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofאוֹיֵבo/YEVthe enemyוּמִתְנַקֵּם׃u/mit/nak/KEMand the avenger

    For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and avenger.

18. 18

    כׇּל־זֹאתkol-zotall thisבָּאַתְנוּba/at/NUhas come upon usוְלֹאve/LOand notשְׁכַחֲנוּךָshe/kha/cha/NU/khahave we forgotten Youוְלֹא־שִׁקַּרְנוּve/LO-shik/KAR/nunor have we been falseבִּבְרִיתֶךָ׃biv/ri/TE/khato Your covenant

    All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.

19. 19

    לֹא־נָסוֹגlo-na/SOGis not turned backאָחוֹרa/CHORbackלִבֵּנוּlib/BE/nuour heartוַתֵּטvat/TETnor have declinedאֲשֻׁרֵינוּa/shu/RE/nuour stepsמִנִּיmin/NIfromאׇרְחֶךָ׃or/che/KHAYour way

    Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way;

20. 20

    כִּיkibecauseדִכִּיתָנוּdik/ki/ta/NUYou have sore broken usבִּמְקוֹםbim/KOMin the place ofתַּנִּיםtan/NIMjackalsוַתְּכַסvat/te/KHASand coveredעָלֵינוּa/LE/nuover usבְצַלְמָוֶת׃ve/tsal/MA/vetwith the shadow of death

    Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.

21. 21

    אִם־שָׁכַחְנוּim-sha/khach/NUif we have forgottenשֵׁםshemthe name ofאֱלֹהֵינוּe/lo/HE/nuour Godוַנִּפְרֹשׂvan/nif/ROSor stretched outכַּפֵּינוּkap/PE/nuour handsלְאֵלle/ELto a godזָר׃zarstrange

    If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god;

22. 22

    הֲלֹאha/LOwould notאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodיַחֲקׇר־זֹאתya/cha/KOR-zotsearch this outכִּי־הוּאki-hufor Heיֹדֵעַyo/DE/aHe knowsתַּעֲלֻמוֹתta/a/lu/MOTthe secrets ofלֵב׃levthe heart

    Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.

23. 23

    כִּי־עָלֶיךָki-a/LE/khabut for Your sakeהֹרַגְנוּho/RAG/nuare we killedכׇל־הַיּוֹםkhol-hay/YOMall the dayנֶחְשַׁבְנוּnech/SHAV/nuwe are reckonedכְּצֹאןke/TSONas sheep forטִבְחָה׃tiv/CHAthe slaughter

    Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.

24. 24

    עוּרָהU/raawakeלָמָּהLAM/mawhyתִישַׁןti/SHANdo You sleepאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYO Lordהָקִיצָהha/KI/tsaariseאַל־תִּזְנַחal-tiz/NACHcast us not offלָנֶצַח׃la/NE/tsachforever

    Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever.

25. 25

    לָמָּה־פָנֶיךָLAM/ma-fa/NE/khawhy Your faceתַסְתִּירtas/TIRdo You hideתִּשְׁכַּחtish/KACHand forgetעׇנְיֵנוּon/YE/nuour afflictionוְלַחֲצֵנוּ׃ve/la/cha/TSE/nuand our oppression

    Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression?

26. 26

    כִּיkiforשָׁחָהSHA/chais bowed downלֶעָפָרle/a/FARto the dustנַפְשֵׁנוּnaf/SHE/nuour soulדָּבְקָהda/ve/KAcleavesלָאָרֶץla/A/retsto the earthבִּטְנֵנוּ׃bit/NE/nuour belly

    For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaveth unto the earth.

27. 27

    קוּמָהku/MAariseעֶזְרָתָהez/RA/tafor helpלָּנוּLA/nuto usוּפְדֵנוּu/fe/DE/nuand redeem usלְמַעַןle/MA/anfor the sake ofחַסְדֶּךָ׃chas/DE/khaYour kindness

    Arise for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies' sake.
