   שׇׁפְטֵנִיshof/TE/nivindicate meאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMO Godוְרִיבָהve/ri/VAand pleadרִיבִיri/VImy caseמִגּוֹיmig/GOYagainst a nationלֹא־חָסִידlo-cha/SIDunfaithfulמֵאִישׁ־מִרְמָהme/ISH-mir/MAfrom the deceitful manוְעַוְלָהve/av/LAand unjustתְפַלְּטֵנִי׃te/fal/le/TE/nideliver me

   Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

   כִּי־אַתָּהki-at/TAfor You areאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofמָעוּזִּיma/uz/ZImy strengthלָמָהla/MAwhyזְנַחְתָּנִיze/nach/TA/nihave You rejected meלָמָּה־קֹדֵרLAM/ma-ko/DERwhy in mourningאֶתְהַלֵּךְet/hal/LEKHdo I go aboutבְּלַחַץbe/LA/chatsin the oppression ofאוֹיֵב׃o/YEVthe enemy

   For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

   שְׁלַח־אוֹרְךָshe/LACH-or/KHAsend out Your lightוַאֲמִתְּךָva/a/mit/te/KHAand Your truthהֵמָּהHEM/malet themיַנְחוּנִיyan/CHU/nilead meיְבִיאוּנִיye/vi/U/nilet them bring meאֶל־הַר־קׇדְשְׁךָel-har-kod/she/KHAto Your holy hillוְאֶל־מִשְׁכְּנוֹתֶיךָ׃ve/EL-mish/ke/no/TE/khaand to Your dwelling places

   O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

   וְאָבוֹאָהve/a/VO/athen will I goאֶל־מִזְבַּחel-miz/BACHto the altar ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶל־אֵלel-elto Godשִׂמְחַתsim/CHATthe joy ofגִּילִיgi/LImy gladnessוְאוֹדְךָve/od/KHAand I will praise Youבְכִנּוֹרve/khin/NORwith the lyreאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMO Godאֱלֹהָי׃e/lo/HAYmy God

   Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

   Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
