   לַמְנַצֵּחַto the chief musicianבִּנְגִינוֹתwith stringed instrumentsמִזְמוֹרa psalmלְדָוִד׃of David

   To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm of David.

2. 2

   בְּקׇרְאִיwhen I callעֲנֵנִיhear meאֱלֹהֵיO God ofצִדְקִיmy righteousnessבַּצָּרin distressהִרְחַבְתָּYou have enlargedלִּיmeחׇנֵּנִיhave mercy on meוּשְׁמַעand hearתְּפִלָּתִי׃my prayer

   Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

   בְּנֵיO sons ofאִישׁmenעַד־מֶהhow longכְבוֹדִיwill my gloryלִכְלִמָּהbe turned to shameתֶּאֱהָבוּןwill you loveרִיקvanityתְּבַקְשׁוּand seekכָזָבfalsehoodסֶלָה׃Selah

   O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.

   וּדְעוּbut knowכִּי־הִפְלָהthat has set apartיְהֹוָהthe LORDחָסִידthe godlyלוֹfor Himselfיְהֹוָהthe LORDיִשְׁמַעwill hearבְּקׇרְאִיwhen I callאֵלָיו׃to Him

   But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

   רִגְזוּtrembleוְאַל־תֶּחֱטָאוּand do not sinאִמְרוּcommuneבִלְבַבְכֶםin your heartעַל־מִשְׁכַּבְכֶםupon your bedוְדֹמּוּand be stillסֶלָה׃Selah

   Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

6. 6

   זִבְחוּofferזִבְחֵי־צֶדֶקthe sacrifices of righteousnessוּבִטְחוּand put your trustאֶל־יְהֹוָה׃in the LORD

   Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

7. 7

   רַבִּיםmanyאֹמְרִיםare sayingמִי־יַרְאֵנוּwho will show usטוֹבgoodנְסָה־עָלֵינוּlift up upon usאוֹרthe light ofפָּנֶיךָYour countenanceיְהֹוָה׃O LORD

   There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

8. 8

   נָתַתָּהYou have putשִׂמְחָהjoyבְלִבִּיin my heartמֵעֵתmore than whenדְּגָנָםtheir grainוְתִירוֹשָׁםand their wineרָבּוּ׃increased

   Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.

9. 9

   בְּשָׁלוֹםin peaceיַחְדָּוbothאֶשְׁכְּבָהI will lie downוְאִישָׁןand sleepכִּי־אַתָּהfor YouיְהֹוָהO LORDלְבָדָדaloneלָבֶטַחin safetyתּוֹשִׁיבֵנִי׃make me dwell

   I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
